Arsenio Hall Fights Off Haters As Laughs Roll At WBLS Annual April Fools’ Day Comedy Show

(AllHipHop Lifestyle) Over the weekend, a comedy explosion occurred inside the Theater at Madison Square Garden.

The WBLS April Fools’ Day Comedy Show was hosted by Sommore and featured performances by Tommy Davidson, Arnez J., Don “D.C.” Curry, Arsenio Hall and Michael Blackson. The April Fools’ Day comedy show has continued for over a decade for Emmis New York and Marquee Concerts. All of these comedians have been entertaining audiences for decades.

The oddest moment of the night happened when a belligerent women and less vocal cohorts began to boo veteran actor, pioneering talk show host and comic Arsenio Hall. After ignoring the hecklers, Arsenio eventually fired back in a curse-laden rant that would make Andrew Dice Clay blush. “Tomorrow on Instagram, we all gonna know who the f#ck you are. You on Instagram? I hope you on Instagram. I’m a vet, b#tch. I remember when Instagram was a cocaine delivery service,” Arsenio said pounding his chest. “15 more minutes on that stank b#tch. You glad you spoke up now?”

The boos may have originated after the OG opined about Hillary Clinton. He said, “F#ck Hillary – F#ck em all.” Shortly there after the women and her cacophony of bellows started. Eventually, Arsenio finished his set, garnering considerable laughs even though it was slightly marred by the rogue attendees.

African comedian Micheal Blackston hit the stage immediately after the “Arsenio Hall affair,” which it is now known as. He insulted himself and women, then women some more and ended by insulting himself repeatedly. He said in succession: ”My hair is tougher than Magic Johnson’s immune system. My mother told me my dad had a### sex, that’s how I got here. I look (so dark) like I got no bright ideas.” He did admit that he’s no longer dealing with White women thanks to Jordan Peele. “White girls…I saw the movie ‘Get Out.’ F#ck all of you,” he said. He informed the audience that he told a homeless date to “Call me when you get home.” He closed with a nod to his skin tone: “Talking about of Black Liives Matter mine…matters the most.”

Mistress of ceremonies Sommore led the evening as host and sometime voice of reason, especially in defense of Arsenio Hall. She wore an outfit so sparkly it was impossible to capture on a camera phone. The Trenton native offered a proverbial stream of laughter, homing down on Muslim ban (“We can’t have no mother f#ckin’ company?”). Donald Trump (“Trump too petty to be president. You know you petty when you in a Twitter beef with Snoop Dogg.”) and other topics like when your black clothing doesn’t match. She also revealed that the crowd was decidedly pro-Remy Ma in the beef with Nicki Minaj.

Don “D.C.” Curry had the crowd laughing and cringing at the same time by drilling down on taboo topics. “We lost Muhammad Ali…but it was time, he was shaking a long time. We lost Kanye West. He ain’t die, but his mind dead. Can’t look at nobody (on TV) but see somebody that f#cked ya wife.” Yikes. He didn’t stop there. He referred to Donald Trump’s youngest Barron as the “little retarded son.” He called Magic Johnson’s seed EJ as “Tragic Johnson” and proclaimed “Wendy Williams is a man.” His set concluded on on a somber note, “I’m proud of how far we’ve come, I’m ashamed at how far we need to go.”

Headliner Tommy Davidson and Arnez J. rounded out the evening and both had the audience doubled over in laughter with their highly expressive physical and witty comedy.

Last thing: Sommore tried and failed to trick the crowd into thinking Jay Z was going to come out in a last ditch April Fools joke. Womp womp!

Spotify Premium Users Will Get To Stream Some Albums 2 Weeks Before Free Users

(AllHipHop News) The impact of the “Streaming Wars” continues to shift the music industry.

A new licensing agreement between streaming service Spotify and record company Universal Music Group will affect certain consumers of the service.

The Verge reports the deal will give premium Spotify users access to new albums from UMG artists two weeks before free users.

“We know that not every album by every artist should be released the same way, and we’ve worked hard with UMG to develop a new, flexible release policy,” stated Spotify CEO Daniel Ek. “Starting today, Universal artists can choose to release new albums on premium only for two weeks, offering subscribers an earlier chance to explore the complete creative work, while the singles are available across Spotify for all our listeners to enjoy.”

The current Universal Music Group roster of acts includes Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, YG, Big Sean, Rae Shremmurd, Fabolous, Pusha T, The Weeknd, and others.

Over the last several years, many artists have exclusively released their respective projects through streaming platforms such as Apple Music and Tidal.

However, there have been reports Universal Music Group blocked its subsidiary labels from allowing exclusive distribution deals with streaming services.

With the new Spotify/UMG agreement, industry insiders will be waiting to see if fellow record giants Warner Music Group and Sony Music strike similar deals.

As of March 2017, Spotify reportedly has over 50 million subscribers with over 100 million total active users.

Jeweler Seeks To Put T.I. On The Stand Over Dispute In Millions Of Gems

(AllHipHop News) Atlanta rap star T.I. continues to be dogged by a lawsuit concerning an alleged unpaid bill for almost $1 million worth of jewelry.

Aydin & Co., which bills itself as a company that caters to celebrities, claims the rapper copped hundreds of thousands of dollars in jewelry from the years 2004-2012.

According to Bossip.com, T.I. had an open account with the company, but stopped paying the bill around 2013, prompting the lawsuit.

For his part, T.I. claims he doesn’t owe Aydin & Co. for any purchases prior to 2011, and that the goods in question were stolen in a 2016 burglary, so the rapper is working with his lawyers to have the case dismissed.

But in the latest legal wrangling, Aydin & Co. is asking a judge to force T.I. to testify about the jewelry and the cash in front of a jury, to sort the matter out.

Aydin & Co. is reportedly seeking a portion of the $775,000 in insurance money the rapper received for the stolen gems.

BOOK REVIEW: Charlamagne’s “Black Privilege”

Image result for Charlamagne’s "Black Privilege"Reviewing the Memoir of the King of Urban Radio

Rating: 7 of 10

There are those who love Charlamagne and those who hate him. In his memoir, Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those who Create It, Charlamagne recalls a theory from one of his mentors. The “Law of Ten” goes like this: If there are 10 people: three of them love you, three of them hate you, and four of them are on the fence. “Don’t worry about the people who hate you,” he recounts, “there’s no changing their mind. But, you still have a chance to convince the four on the fence.”

I was definitely on the fence, and I have been for years.

Charlamagne tha God can be loud, brash, and wrong. He’s said some sexist sht, and done a lot of dumb sht too (we are never letting you forget Tomi Lahren, dude). But, he’s also sometimes very right. He also often says things that we are all thinking, like, “Kanye Kardashian.” After reading Black Privilege, I am still on the fence. But I like Charlamagne a little more and hate him a lot less.

The book first few chapters of the book give us insight into the early life of Lenard McKelvey. Growing up in Moncks Corner, South Carolina it is evident how much of an impact growing up in a small, southern town had on him. In the first chapter, (he calls them Principles), he talks about growing up and living in trailers, playing in the woods and seeing snakes, and the influence of his schoolteacher mother, Julia, and all-around hustler father, Larry. “Imagine what a pimp would look like in a small town in South Carolina,” he says, “What you’re seeing is my pops.”

It is in describing his youth in a small town that Charlamagne really begins to humanize himself. He explains growing up, like many hip-hop kids, as a nerd and then rebelling against that image through crime. He dabbled in crack sales and earned himself a couple stints in jail, before talking his way into a promotions gig at a local radio station. That internship led to a few on-air opportunities, and from there Lenard McKelvey slowly became Charlamagne tha God. In the memoir, Charlamagne talks about how he created his name (through a combination of his “street name” and his time as a Five Percenter). He also talks about his many sexual exploits as he worked his way up to fame in South Carolina. He explores his first encounters throwing and hosting parties, and first touches with local and national fame.

Running parallel to telling his own life story, Charlamagne offers personal life lessons, “principles” that apparently helped shaped the man he is. Some of these stories are cautionary tales (like cheating with his girlfriend’s cousin and friend on her prom night) and some are professional learning experiences (like choosing to work over a year for Wendy Williams—for free). The overall feel of these lessons seem directed at a specific audience—young, urban men. Reading it, as a grown woman, I felt like an outsider; there was no real universal appeal. It’s like Charlamagne is sharing these stories for his 17-year-old self, as a F**kboy Prevention Handbook, an “I did that, so hopefully you won’t have to go through that” nod to one of his favorite rappers.

Clearly inspired by other hip-hop memoirs like Life and Def: Sex, Drugs, Money + God by Russell Simmons and Make it Happen: The Hip Hop Generation Guide to Success by Kevin Liles, Black Privilege falls just short of its goals. In trying to make two different books: a memoir and a self-help book, Charlamagne fails to really succeed at either one. This debut would have been better served as just telling his story and maintaining its consistency. Unfortunately, the book is a roller coaster ride that is great at the beginning, bland in the middle, and coasts to a decent end. There are also a lot of moments that, to an outsider, would seem important to his life and career that feel rushed through, like his experience (and falling out) with Wendy Williams, and his molestation by an older female relative.

The title of the book is also a detriment, “Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create.” It is just unfortunate. In this, the fifth year of the still active #BlackLivesMatter movement, the title comes off like the author, smug and elitist. Charlamagne tries to explain the concept toward the end of the book, but this section also feels rushed and underdeveloped. The book would have also been enhanced by the traditional picture section found in the middle of most memoirs.

Overall, I actually really would recommend this book. Especially for a young, black male. It would also be a fun and interesting read for anyone who is a real fan of his. Charlamagne presents his life story in a way that is clear, simple, and inspirational. There are glimpses here of a really interesting and multi-faceted person that is not always seen in his on-air/on-screen persona. Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It is a good first effort by Charlamagne who, with more development, has a lot of potential as a hip-hop author.

Drake Responds To DJ Khaled Asking His Son If The Rapper Sent His Vocals (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) DJ Khaled named his newborn son Asahd as the executive producer of the upcoming Grateful album.

So in recent tongue-in-cheek Snapchat videos, Khaled questioned the baby if vocals from Drake, for a potential record, had arrived yet.

Then Drake responded to the request in his own comedic vid.

“CJ, did the Khaled vocals come in yet?!? Chill, everything’s top secret,” Drizzy can be heard saying into the camera.

Previously, Drake and Khaled joined forces for cuts like “Fed Up,” “No New Friends,” and “For Free.”

DJ Khaled’s most recent single is “Shining” featuring power couple Beyoncé and Jay Z.

The track is expected to appear on Grateful.

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West has earned his eighth career platinum album.

The RIAA reports Ye’s 2016 project, The Life Of Pablo, has surpassed the one million equivalent album units mark.

TLOP joins The College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, 808s & Heartbreak, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Watch the Throne (with Jay Z), and Yeezus as plat plaque earners.

According to the Chicago rhymer’s Def Jam label, The Life Of Pablo is the first streaming-only album to go platinum.

In April 2016, Kanye’s seventh solo studio LP became the first album to reach #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart off mostly streaming numbers.

TLOP debuted on the chart by collecting 94,000 equivalent album units with approximately 28,000 units from pure sales.

Review: Freddie Gibbs “You Only Live Twice”

Freddie GIbbs

(AllHipHop Reviews) The last time we heard from Gangsta Gibbs was his 2015 solo effort Shadow of a Doubt. The next year, he was accused of drugging and raping a woman and subsequently detained in France. In late September 2016, Gibbs — born Fredrick Tipton — was acquitted of all charges and allowed to return home.

The 34-year-old Gary, IN native went right to work, announcing the release of You Only Live 2wice in early March and releasing two singles from the album: “Crushed Glass” and “Alexys.” But with two great albums under his belt in Piñata and Shadow of a Doubt, does Freddie Gibbs’ fourth studio effort live up to the expectations he’s created for himself?

Right off the bat, we get a taste of the cocaine rap that we’ve come to expect on “20 Karat Jesus,” a two-part song that finds Gibbs divulging his drug dealer past while speaking on his recent court case. These themes are both consistent throughout the album as Gibbs delivers what may be his most revealing album yet.

On the fourth track of the album, “Dear Maria,” Freddie takes a few minutes to talk to a girl he used to mess with. According to the track, she even went as far as giving Gibbs the drop on some Puerto Ricans she knew of. In the end, though, Gibbs’ commitment to the game kept things from working out — and also blessed us with this track.

There are a lot of reasons to love this album. While many rappers (understandably) have a difficult time weeding out tracks for an album, Freddie Gibbs created the ultimate minimalist, re-playable album by sticking with 8 tracks. Another great aspect of this album is the varying production, one aspect of music that Gibbs seems to have locked down. Production is handled by a diverse group of hit makers including Speakerbomb, Blair Norf, Jermaine Dupri, Pops, SLWJMZ and more. This allows Gibbs to tackle a diverse array of subject matter, as topics range from his  hustling past and braggadocio rap on songs like “Andrea” and “Amnesia” to more personal musings of his court case and emotional state, and even a song for the ladies in “Phone Lit.”

With Freddie Gibbs being mostly absent from the game in 2016, hardcore fans likely expected a longer album. But there seemed to be an aim with You Only Live 2wice in that Gibbs kept it short and without features. The narratives on this opus are more pronounced due to the serious nature of his 2016 legal woes. It’s clear that Gibbs had something to say with this album, and he wanted to be heard over and over again.

At the end of “Homesick,” the album’s final track, Gibbs talks about being taken to a library filled with German books when he had nothing to read in prison, and eventually, Erica (his fiancée and daughter of NFL legend Eric Dickerson) flew to Germany to hand-deliver books in English. At the end of the track, he leaves fans with this promising message: “I’m back. . . And I ain’t goin’ nowhere this time.”

Salute.

Is Nicki Minaj Afraid That Someone’s Out To Get Her?

(AllHipHop Rumors) Things have gotten pretty interesting for Nicki Minaj since Remy Ma ethered her on her “ShETHER” diss.

It seemed as if almost the entire world had turned their back on Nicki, at least temporarily. That didn’t stop Nicki from winning though. Her follow up/response singles all charted well, and she inked a modeling deal with Wilehmina!

Although it appears that all is well with Minaj, word on the curb is that she’s actually very paranoid about her well being, especially in the studio.

An insider says that Nicki has been working out of a very popular studio lately, and she won’t eat or touch anything that’s been opened out of fear that someone may be trying to harm or poison her.

Apparently the studio is so locked down that only the employees and engineers are the ones allowed to be there.

The source says that Nicki won’t have more than one person in the studio at a time, making work difficult for everyone, and causing each work day to be 15 hours long for the people there.

Obviously it’s good money, but the people are having to sacrifice a lot for her schedule and demands. While it’s understandable that some people are very particular about things as they either have trust issues, or rather be safe than sorry, folks are saying Nicki is acting way too paranoid in general.

I guess at recording studios they usually have things like baked cookies, and all kinds of snacks, but Nicki won’t go near it unless it’s brand new and unopened. The source says that only professionals and people she knows are there, and that no one is out to hurt her because they wouldn’t even want to mess up a check.

Regardless Nicki allegedly isn’t trying to hear it. Do you think Nicki’s beef with Remy shook her up pretty badly, or do you think she’s just a particular person in general?

Rick Ross Avoids Jail In Kidnapping Case But Will Be On Probation For Five Years

(AllHipHop News). Rapper Rick Ross avoided jail time in court today (April 4), in relation to his kidnapping and assault trial.

Rick Ross and his bodyguard were accused of pistol whipping his groundskeeper, when they allegedly walked in on the man what was labeled as a cocaine fueled party.

Rick Ross was accused waving a gun at Jonathan Zamudio, before striking him in the face, and breaking his jaw.

The rapper struck a deal with prosecutors, which allowed him to plead guilty to one felony count of aggravated assault.

Rick Ross avoided jail time thanks to the plea deal, which also sentenced him to time served, in addition to having to fork over $10,000 in fines.

However, the rapper pleaded guilty to a bunch of misdemeanors, which will have him in the clutches of the long arm of the law for the next 60 months, while he servs probation for the crimes.

According to reports, the rap star’s travel will not be restricted.

What’s Beef? Did Remy Ma & This Media Maven Get Into It?

(AllHipHop Rumors) What’s really going on here?

A photo of Remy Ma, Karen Civil, and Papoose has hit the net, and it has raised everyone’s eyebrows.

The body language and expressions in the pic look to tell the story of Remy Ma confronting Karen Civil, who is said to be very close to Nicki Minaj.

Apparently Karen Civil was hosting her annual Women On The Move Conference at NYU where Remy was presented with the Woman On The Move Award.

During the panel, those involved discussed their passions, careers, and experiences that they’d encountered on their various journeys.

With Remy deciding to participate, you’d have to say that there’s no way that the woman would’ve participated if there was some sort of beef? Right?

Then again sometimes you have to pop up at an event to get some shhhhh handled. LOL. Interestingly enough, neither of them have posted photos from the event of them together on their pages.

Remy told y’all she raps and she smacks b-tches! She also will …. well you know what she went to jail for once upon a time, so there’s that. LOL. All everyone wants to know is what really went down between Karen and Remy in this photo because Remy’s stance/ hand on the wall, Papoose’s face, and the other woman’s face seem to suggest it all.

Remember Meek Mill claims that Karen is on Nicki’s payroll too, so it ain’t no telling what may have been said.

Karen will be speaking with Hollywood Unlocked tomorrow to clear the air. It probably wasn’t anything to be honest. We shall see!

Does R-Mean have beef with Funk Master Flex on Hallelujah?

“I killed Sway like 10 times where you at Flex”? Hallelujah.

Week 14 of “Mean Mondays” is finally here and as promised R-Mean has released his 14th installment entitled Hallelujah, for his 52-week-long series. Just in case anybody’s wondering, yes, it’s a hit.

Alongside R-Mean on the track is Joe Peshi. The flow of each emcee goes together perfectly, so it’s guaranteed to heat up the streets this summer. Funk Master Flex’s name is mentioned in the first verse. Flex is known for promoting breakthrough artist, so R-Mean said “I killed Sway like 10 times where you at Flex”. Don’t be mistaken it’s not a diss, just a “knock on the door”. R-Mean feels that he’s been putting the work and the time in so it’s time to acknowledged by the world.

This video of R-Mean slaughtering the 5 fingers of death on Shade 45 will help you understand why.

Gnarls Barkley Reunion Ruined By President Donald Trump

(AllHipHop News) Cee Lo Green and Danger Mouse put plans to revive their duo Gnarls Barkley on hold following the election of U.S. President Donald Trump.

The duo released albums St. Elsewhere and The Odd Couple in 2006 and 2008 and have been in talks about reuniting for the past few years but they haven’t yet managed to get it together.

Producer Danger Mouse, real name Brian Burton, admitted during an interview on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show on Monday (April 3) that they still have the “creative desire” to revive the joint project and were due to meet on election night in November, but he was so shocked by the outcome that he sat at home and drank by himself.

“The last time we saw each other was the day before the election in Los Angeles,” he said. “And we were supposed to meet the next day and I was like, ‘this thing will be over with by 7 o’clock West Coast time. I’ll see you around 8 or 9 or something.’ I was drinking heavily on a couch by myself staring at the TV at that time. I don’t even know where he was.”

However, he believes a future collaboration could still happen because that chapter doesn’t feel closed and they have remained friends.

“That was a part of our lives that never really felt over and never really felt finished and he and I still do discuss it a lot. So that means there’s never not been a potential in my head, so it’s definitely a possibility,” he said.

Guess What TommyD Confirms Tupac Pioneered In Rap Music?

(AllHipHop Rumors) Whether you agree or not, Tupac’s name often comes up in the greatest of all times rapper conversations.

It seems like we just learned a new fact about the late, great rapper!

Producer TommyD recently sat down with JMix to talk about Tupac’s recording process. Tommy even revealed that sometimes Tupac would just lay down his rap part and tell them to make the music to it later.

If the music came later, he just demanded that the drums be turned up and that his vocals be really loud because people just wanted to hear the beat and hear him rapping.

When the interviewer asked about Tupac being credited with discovering double tracking, TommyD replied saying,

“Yeah I could see that. Double tracking well when the artist does the lead vocal, they’ll just do the lead where they sing the lead part, and then on another track they’ll sing the lead again or rap it along with it. So in the mixing process it gives you something more to work with. But yeah Tupac did do that all the time. If you listen to old east coast rap, you won’t hear that. The original rap is just one take, no add-ons or anything.”

Tommy said a lot of old rap will only have one track no add ons, going straight to the mixing board, to two tracks, with no mixing down because they couldn’t afford to put up the money to do all of the recording process.

When I think about it now, you can definitely hear the layering in Tupac’s music. It really added to his music and made it even better sonically. Who knew Pac was one of the first?

EXCLUSIVE: Suge Knight’s Attorney Calls New Tupac Theory “Fake News”

(AllHipHop News) The criminal defense attorney representing Marion “Suge” Knight has contacted AllHipHop.com to shoot down news that he’s cosigned a new theory involving the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur.

Last week, the directors of the film “Tupac Assassination III: Battle for Compton” issued a statement to various media outlets, claiming the film’s producers had landed a major exclusive from Suge’s criminal attorney Thaddeus Culpepper.

Director Claims Suge Knight and His Attorney Confirm Theory In Fatal Shooting Of Rapper Tupac Shakur

Suge’s attorney is blasting claims by documentary’s directors Richard “RJ” Bond and Michael Douglas Carlin, who claimed that Culpepper co-signed a theory that Suge was the victim of an ongoing conspiracy, aimed at assassinating the former head of Death Row Records.

RJ Bond claims to have information proving that Death Row’s former head of security, Reggie Wright Jr., and had ordered Knight’s shooting on September 7, 1996, suggesting Pac was
collateral damage in the first of many failed attempts to kill Suge.

But Suge’s Thaddeus Culpepper has officially blasted the latest reports as fake news.

“As counsel for Mr. Knight, my duty is to represent and assist him in his present cases,” Thaddeus Culpepper told AllHipHop.com. “I have never made any statements regarding Tupac Shakur, nor have I made any statements on my client’s behalf regarding Mr. Shakur, written or otherwise. Articles relying on this unattributed press release are without merit.”

During an interview with AllHipHop.com in 2007, Reggie Wright Jr. himself addressed allegations that were asserted RJ Bonds’ other film “Tupac Assassination II: Conspiracy or Revenge.”

In that documentary, RJ Bond also advanced the argument that Reggie Wright Jr. was the mastermind behind the September 7 shooting on the strip in Las Vegas.

However, Reggie Wright told AllHipHop.com if there had been a conspiracy to kill Tupac, the Las Vegas strip would not have been the first choice to execute the rapper.

“That’s not true, that’s ludicrous,” Reggie Wright Jr. told AllHipHop.com in a previous interview addressing whether or not he was involved with Tupac’s murder.

“Then we going to say we got him but we going to graze Suge in the head; what type of sense that make? We could have had Tupac meet us in the middle of the Mojave Desert if we wanted to but we going to conspire to have him shot on a Las Vegas strip right after he gets into a fight? That’s crazy,” Reggie Wright Jr. said at the time.

Pac’s Life, Part 2: Reggie Wright

Meanwhile, the real-life drama’s central character, Suge Knight, continues to roll on, as he faces an upcoming trial for a variety of charges that include murder.

Earlier this month, a scheduled hearing in the case was shuffled around, after Suge was hospitalized for blood clots.

The former Death Row Records CEO is sitting in jail on $10 million bail for the murder of Terry Carter and the brutal assault of Cle “Bone” Sloan on January 29, 2015.

Both men were run over during an altercation with Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and others during a taping for a commercial for the movie “Straight Outta Compton.”

Suge claims the men were coming to kill him, and that he was forced to run them over in his own self-defense.

Out Of Hand! The Internet Believes That Love & Hip Hop Is Super Fake!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Even if you don’t watch reality TV, you still know what’s going on because you can’t escape the madness on your timeline.

Anyway over the seasons, Love & Hip Hop has seemed to expose itself as partly scripted by the crazy occurrences.

It’s like everyone has to have some wild and crazy storyline to save their spot on the show, keep the show going, and keep up the drama.

I mean we’ve seen cast members experiment sexually, have sex tapes swinging from shower poles, to serious beat downs, but this season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, seems to top previous seasons in every market period.

Many believed that Rasheeda and Kirk had to be the highest paid cast members this season because there was no way Rasheeda would let Kirk go on national television and embarrass her ONCE AGAIN, this time by possibly having a baby by a side chick.

If that wasn’t enough, the side chick is in a sister wife situation with fellow cast member Mimi’s ex, and the other girl also happened to mess with married Kirk as well.

I mean people being sister wives and being in open relationships is more common than you think, but everything about this season just seems so fake according to viewers across social media.

But last night, as if the show couldn’t get any faker, fans had it with the fake shhhhh with a few of this season’s new cast members. So check it; Sierra the owner of a beauty salon in Atlanta’s husband has been allegedly cheating with her assistant. The husband and assistant want to keep it a secret so they meet up to talk about it, exchange fake money all while the cameras are rolling capturing them telling the “secret” to the world.

The writers need to be smacked for this one. I guess Mona is trying to change the direction of the show? Do you watch these shows? LOL. Let me know your thoughts? Do you believe it’s all fake?

John Legend To Guest Star As Frederick Douglass On ‘Underground’

(AllHipHop News) John Legend is set to guest star as the iconic abolitionist Frederick Douglass in a new episode of WGN America’s Underground.

Besides appearing in the historical drama, Legend also serves as executive producer for the series, and the Grammy-winner co-wrote the original song “In America” for the show’s second season.

Underground‘s main cast includes Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Aldis Hodge, Jessica De Gouw, Amirah Van, and Christopher Meloni.

Last year, Smollett-Bell spoke with AllHipHop.com about Underground.

“And the tone, pace, and feeling of the show makes it a thriller. It’s not a ‘slave drama.’ It’s an escape drama. It’s about heroes. These are our superheroes,” said the veteran actress.

The “Whiteface” episode, featuring Legend, is scheduled to air Wednesday, April 5 at 10:00 pm.

Kate Woods directed the episode.

It was written by Misha Green and Joe Pokaski.

Vince Staples & Hannibal Buress Debate The Toughness Of NBA Players (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) West Coast rapper Vince Staples and comedian Hannibal Buress sat down together to talk about the NBA.

Except the discussion was not about who is the likely MVP of the league this year or which team has the best chance of winning the title.

The Ringer got Staples and Buress to debate the toughness of players like Zaza Pachulia, Russell Westbrook, Manu Ginobili, Matt Barnes, Metta World Peace, Draymond Green, and DeMar DeRozan.

This is not the first time Staples voiced his opinion about professional basketball players.

The Def Jam recording artist has made it clear he is not the biggest fan of retired Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant.

“It’s not that I don’t like him. It’s just that I don’t f-ck with certain things that Kobe does,” said Vince back in 2015.
