Crip Gang Member Killed Inside Of Maino’s Ottawa Show

(AllHipHop News) A member of a notorious Crips subset in Ottawa Canada was shot and killed inside a nightclub where rapper Maino was performing this morning (August 14).

Police identified a 33-year-old man named Omar Rashid-Ghader as the victim in the shooting.

Local reports said Ghader was a founding member of the South-End based Ledbury-Banff Crips.

Judging by Maino’s Instagram, his performance at the Sentral Nightclub went smooth.

But just after 3:00am this morning, gunshots were fired inside of the venue. Ghader, who was also an aspiring rapper, was hit. He died at the scene.

In May, Maino was an artist on the bill at a T.I. concert in New York, where four people, including Troy Ave, were shot.

Maino professed his innocence and he was cleared of any wrongdoing by the NYPD in regards to the shooting in May, which took the life of Troy Ave’s close friend Ronald “Banga” McPhatter.

Police are looking for a suspect named Mustafa Ahmed, 28, who is wanted for second-degree murder for allegedly shooting Omar Rashid-Ghader.

Maino was in Toronto tonight, where he hosted a meet and greet at the Get Fresh Company boutique store.

Third Installment of Bad Boys Franchise Titled “Bad Boys For Life”

(AllHipHop News) The “Bad Boys 3” release date has been pushed back until early 2018.

The third installment of the Will Smith and Martin Lawrence franchise was due to hit cinemas from June 2017, but has now been pushed back to January 2018.

Sony just recently announced the release date shake-up, as well the film’s official title; “Bad Boys for Life.”

The original two movies, “Bad Boys” and “Bad Boys II,” released in 1995 and 2003 respectively, were both helmed by Michael Bay, but it’s rumored Joe Carnahan will be taking over for the third chapter.

However, IMDB has already added details of “Bad Boys 4,” with Michael attached to produce.

“Bad Boys” follows detectives Mike Lowrey (Will) and Marcus Burnett (Martin) as they investigate drug-related crimes.

Sony insiders say there will be additional casting announced soon, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

It wasn’t known if Will, who’s currently gracing theaters in “Suicide Squad,”!would definitely return to the franchise, but he confirmed the news earlier this year in a chat with BBC Radio 1 Xtra.

“I saw Martin a few weeks ago. I haven’t seen him in about two years. We looked at each other. We hugged. In that moment, we knew we were making another ‘Bad Boys’. We’re definitely doing another one,” he told delighted listeners.

Martin shared the news that another Bad Boys flick had been given the green light during an appearance on Conan in 2014.

Talking to host Conan O’Brien, Martin explained how mega producer Jerry Bruckheimer was fully on board.

“I just talked to Jerry Bruckheimer yesterday and he said it’s real, they’re working on the script, they’re getting close, and it all looks good,” he said.

Martin hasn’t been seen on the big screen since 2011’s “Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son,” working instead in TV.

Joe Budden appeared on the “Ebro in the Morning” show, where he mostly discussed his beef with Drake.

It appears Joe wanted to talk about more than Drizzy during his appearance and was rather annoyed at the lack of promotion he was able to do for his upcoming album.

Joe eventually walked out of the interview, which cost a back-and-forth between him and host Ebro.

Views From The 60s: Drake’s Dad Has The Internet Going Crazy, Plans To Release A R&B Album

Drake’s dad, Dennis Graham, has the internet going crazy with the release of his new single, “Kinda Crazy,” and the announcement of his forthcoming R&B album.

Although Papa Drake was a musician long before the 6 God, the announcement still came as a surprise to most. His musical ambition didn’t come out of left field as he used to play the drums for Jerry Lee Lewis, with a long time aspiration of having his own musical career.

Dennis enlisted the help of Jimmy Iovine’s son, Jamie Iovine, to produce the forthcoming album. Dennis also just released the single and accompanying visual for “Kinda Crazy.”

Dennis said he didn’t originally plan on putting out an album, but due to the great response he got for the clip he put out, he has to keep going. He also revealed that now that he’s somewhat “established” himself, a collaboration between him and his son could be on the way.

Drake is reportedly happy for his father and believes he’s a star! Apparently Dennis has no plans on taking on the rap game like his son. He instead wants to put out a classic R&B album. Will you be listening? What are your thoughts on “Kinda Crazy?”

Future Claims He Has Gone To The Studio Every Day For The Past Five Years

Future Hendrix wants you to know that although his mother named his Nayvadius, he’s Future Hendrix the rockstar!

MTV caught up with the fan-favorite rapper for a documentary as he was gearing up for his ‘Summer Sixteen’ tour wit Drake.

It’s obvious that Future drops a lot of music back to back, and many rappers wish they could heat up like Future and his wave.

Future revealed to MTV that he has been going to the studio everyday for 5 years. When asked why he works so hard and harder than everyone else he says,

“Because I know I’m going to be worth more than them at the end of the day. I might not be there now, but once my work catch up to my worth, I’m going to be a billionaire.”

Future has certainly had one hell of a year and one hell of a run with the release of ‘Purple Reign,’ ‘EVOL,’ and ‘E.T.’ MTV was able to get Future to open up about his insane work ethic as well as his motivations.

Future’s advice to his fans was for them to take from him the things that they like from him and don’t make the same mistakes that he did.

Future has released 3 No.1 albums in less than 7 months, and 7 projects since 2015. He’s certainly made some sacrifices to chase his musical dreams, and now he’s considering taking some time off soon. Future reveals that he stays in the studio so much and goes so hard because he wants to make sure his family is always taken care of.

At the end of the day, Future believes that his brand is authentic, and it has grown organically. Interestingly enough, many argue that it’s not so much that Future is “great” as it is that he has a solid work ethic, puts out “fun” music to get his fans hype, a solid production team, and a crazy fan base.

EXCLUSIVE: Bankroll Fresh’s Uncle Responds To 21 Savage’s Defense Of No Plug

(AllHipHop News) Atlanta resident No Plug faced some backlash for his jovial tone during a recent interview with VladTV.

No Plug was smiling while discussing his involvement in the tragic killing of Bankroll Fresh.

In a separate sit down with The Breakfast Club, No Plug’s associate 21 Savage defended his friend’s somewhat gleeful demeanor.

The “X” rhymer said, “He’s a goofy person, so all the laughing – that’s just him.”

AllHipHop.com spoke with Bankroll Fresh’s uncle Shadi Powers, and the Street Money Worldwide executive responded to 21’s comments.

“Nah, I don’t even know why 21 Savage is allowing himself to be put in this equation,” stated Powers. “To be honest, he’s a young rapper that don’t come from the side of town where No Plug comes from.”

Powers continued, “[21 Savage] comes from the East Side – Zone 6 – where Fresh was living during the later part of his life. He comes from that part of town. Why would you put yourself in that equation? You don’t know Fresh at all. Why would you even do that?”

The exclusive Q&A with the internet marketing specialist also included Powers explaining why he released a biting letter criticizing DJ Vlad.

He took issue with the online media personality for publishing No Plug’s claims that Bankroll was the aggressor in their altercation without offering equal time to Fresh’s loved ones.

Powers once worked with Vlad and he reached out to him several times over the last few months.

According to Powers, Vlad’s team expressed no interest in exclusive coverage of the events surrounding Bankroll’s death.

As a former business acquaintance, Powers did not understand why VladTV chose not to speak with Bankroll’s family about the violent incident that left his nephew dead.

“It puzzled me on why he turned it down. It didn’t hit me. I couldn’t understand it,” Powers stated. “Then all of a sudden, you do an interview with an alleged killer of my nephew? You didn’t reach out to me, the family? You didn’t reach out to the D.A.’s office to check and confirm the charges? Or the Atlanta police department?”

He added, “You just let this guy talk – changing the narrative on my nephew’s persona, legacy, and everything. It was all a one-dimensional conversation. If you change the narrative to Fresh was the aggressor, Fresh was jealous of me about a girl, Fresh was the one that pulled the gun…”

When asked about the relationship between Bankroll Fresh and No Plug, Powers claimed they were not best friends despite No Plug suggesting the two were very close during his VladTV interview.

In addition, Powers denied the two rising rappers had a personal conflict over a woman like some have suspected.

“That was so far from the truth on what they fell out on. He said that Bank came over to the 9th Ward and they walked him out of there because he didn’t want nothing to happen to him,” recalled Powers. “How did you walk him out of there when you walked him out of there by gunpoint? How is that being a friend when you walk someone out of a neighborhood by gunpoint?”

No Plug also implied that he was no longer a suspect in the murder of Bankroll Fresh and the District Attorney accepted that he acted in self-defense.

However, Powers says the case is still under investigation and no one has been cleared of any crimes.

“Because he was interviewed by the police department… come on man, there’s enough reality shows – First 48 – to realize how this thing works,” insisted Powers. “Just because Homicide interviews you and lets you go don’t mean it’s over. They just ain’t got enough information. It’s an open investigation.”

Swizz Beatz Discusses The Dean Collection Music and Art Installation With Bacardi

(AllHipHop News) Producer/rapper/art connoisseur Swizz Beatz teamed with Bacardi to celebrate the opening of The Dean Collection’s “Commission: Art Performs” multi-day event.

Swizz strategically launched his event in the South Bronx on August 11, which historians have pegged as the birthdate of Hip-Hop.

“This is a great platform for the artists, because usually, me coming from the music business, I understand how things work,” Swizz Beatz said. “Always, people want to pull from your creativity and take a percentage of this and a percentage of that. I [wanted] to do a concept where the artist keeps 100% of their sales, they don’t have to pay for a booth. They can just celebrate their creativity and their work. It’s an honor to have such an understanding partnership with Bacardi, because we are changing people’s lives here.”
