Is Jim Jones Hinting At A Deal With Roc Nation?

(AllHipHop Rumors) It looks like Jim Jones is hinting at new possible union between he and Jay Z.

Jim Jones let his fans know that he took a little field trip over to the Roc Nation offices. Jimmy posted a video to his Instagram that he knew would surely get people talking.

“If I told you I was in the Roc Nation office, how would you feel about that? You’d think I was lying? That’s clear enough for you? Talk to me, let me know your sentiments, ya heard?”

Hov and Jones have had an up and down relationship since back in the day when The Diplomats were signed to Jay’s label, Roc-A-Fella. When Jay and Dame Dash split, tensions flared, and it left many artists on the roster divided.

Remember when Jay took that shot at a few people, Jimmy included?

“I ain’t talking about gossip. I ain’t talking about Game. I ain’t talking about Jimmy. I ain’t talking about Dame. Let’s talk about facts. Dame made millions, even Jaz made some scraps. He could’ve made more but he ain’t sign his contract.”

Jay even went at Jim on “Brooklyn High” when he rapped,

“Your bank versus mine. If you’re ballin’, n-gga what I’m doing can’t be defined. The Joneses can’t keep up.”

Yall know how “sensitive” Jim Jones can get, so he later asked,

“Question if someone says in the song I’m not talkin bout Jimmy is that not talking bout Jimmy lol we r back in business people.”

So I wonder was this just a meeting for a true new start of reconciliation? Is there a deal on the table for Jimmy? Should Jim Jones sign to Roc Nation? Are you interested in hearing new music from Jones?

Judge Faces Scrutiny For Allowing Accused Gang Member Lil Cray To Shoot Video In Courtroom (VIDEO/POLL)

(AllHipHop News) Judge Michael Ryan of the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Justice Center is dealing with some criticism over a recent decision that did not have anything to do with one of his cases.

A local rapper named Lil Cray (born Crayshaun Bates) shot part of his “Indicted” music video in Ryan’s courtroom.

Bates is facing charges in adult court including criminal gang activity and attempted murder.

Ryan admits to offering his courtroom to a friend that works as a music producer, but the judge claims he did not find out Lil Cray was the artist until the day of the shoot.

Despite being aware of Bates’ pending charges, Ryan defended his choice to allow the accused criminal to use the space.

“Last time I checked the Constitution, everyone is innocent until proven guilty,” Ryan told Fox 8. “I’m always about helping young people especially when I see that they have promise. They have talent.”

Earlier this week, Lil Cray was accused of violating his house arrest and offering a $35,000 bribe.

Judge Ryan now acknowledges he would not repeat his support for a rapper using his courtroom.

“Probably not one of the better choices that I made. But I was trying to help,” said Ryan.

Lil Cray does already have two videos on YouTube with over 400,000 views.

His “Indicted” single currently has 177,000 plays on Soundcloud.

Trina Discusses Trick Daddy’s Controversial Comments About Black Women (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Trina was the latest guest on The Breakfast Club, and the self-described “Da Baddest B-tch” was questioned about her “Nann N-gga” collaborator Trick Daddy.

Many African-American women blasted Trick over some comments he made in a video back in October.

The South Florida rap legend said at the time:

These Spanish and these white h**s, they just started getting finer than a motherf-cker. Y’all black hoes better tighten up. I’m telling you, tighten up. Y’all doing all that extra sh-t for nothing. You not achieving nothing, b-tch. You get your ass done, your t###### done. You’re paying $150 to get your makeup done just to go to a local club, b-tch. Tighten up, hoe. These Spanish and these white hoes getting very spiffy on y’all. They f-ck around and learn how to fry chicken you hoes is useless.

Charlamagne Tha God brought up the backlash for Trick’s statement during Trina’s interview.

“There was a good and bad part to it. I feel like what he said wasn’t so bad. It’s a lot of women that need to get their self together,” replied Trina. “I think his choice of words of saying ‘black women’ and using a different race of women is what made it sound crazy.”

She added, “We’re already in this big racial war. That was offensive to women. Me knowing him as a person – I think the choice of words was just Trick talking how Trick, but meaning it the way everybody perceived it.”

Trina partly owes her early success in the music industry to Trick Daddy.

“Nann N-gga” – off Trick’s 1998 album www.thug.com – was the first song to earn Trina national notoriety.

Who Ya Got? Internet Erupts In Nelly Vs. Drake Debate!

(AllHipHop Rumors) The Internet never seems to let us down, especially not Black Twitter!

I’m not quite sure what sparked this, but I’m always here for a good debate. Some things shouldn’t even be debated [see Kodak Black Vs. Lil Wayne], because the truth seems obvious, but I’m also here for watching people make idiotic invalid as well as comedic points on the ‘net too.

Anyway the big social media debate last night was which run was more impressive: Drake’s current run or Nelly in his prime?

Both Drake and Nelly aren’t afraid of singing or trying new sounds, and because of it, both also have a lot of female fans.

Although they may not be at the top of everyone’s ‘Best Rapper’ list, their commercial success is certainly undeniable!

Welp, I suppose their similarities were enough to spark a Twitter feud. As of last night, it looked like Nelly Nel was winning.

In your opinion, whose run has been better? Who is more important to the culture?

Now, as Fat Joe readies his new album Plata O Plomo with Remy Ma, it has been revealed that Fat Joe is signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation

Jay and Roc Nation will help Fat Joe promote and market the new album and various aspects of his career.

In a previous interview with AllHipHop.com, Fat Joe said he always wanted to work with Jay Z, despite the years of animosity.

“I’ve always been a big fan of Jay Z and an admirer of his music and what he’s done as a businessman,” Fat Joe told AllHipHop.com. “It was always on my bucket list to work with him.”

Australia Denies Young Thug Entry; Rapper’s Concert Down Under Scrapped

(AllHipHop News) Young Thug has canceled an appearance in New Zealand due to visa troubles in neighboring Australia.

The “Stoner” rapper, 25, was due to appear at the St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Auckland on January 30 and had received an entry visa from New Zealand immigration officials.

However, he was refused a visa by authorities in Australia, where the event moves for five more dates.

“Despite having his New Zealand visa, recent complications with the visa process for Australia means that Young Thug is not able to play any Laneway Festival dates in 2017,” festival organizers said in a statement. “We are deeply disappointed with this outcome as we have wanted Young Thug to play at the festival for some years now.”

Organizers have offered to refund Laneway ticket holders who were attending the festival specifically to see Young Thug.

Australian electronic act What So Not will replace the musician, real name Jeffrey Lamar Williams, at the event.

At present, the hip-hop star is facing legal issues in the U.S. as last week an Atlanta, Georgia judge issued an arrest warrant after he failed to appear in court for a hearing about a ticket he received last year for having illegal tinted windows on his car.

In December, Young Thug was arrested by police officers in an Atlanta shopping mall for missing another court hearing about the illegal tinting ticket.

The star also hit headlines this week when the video for his track with Wyclef Jean was released.

The promotional clip documents how Young Thug made his co-director Ryan Staake’s life a nightmare by failing to turn up for the video shoot.

#TheBusinessBully – 2017 Tech Takeover with Nate Bernadeau

On the Eve of the Donald Trump era, many people are scared. Some are scared of losing jobs, not being able to find jobs, etc. Many fear what a repeal of Obamacare will mean for their lives regarding healthcare. Others are starting or trying to grow their businesses. The one thing that people don’t have enough of is opportunity.

One area that is often overlooked and neglected as an opportunity is the area of technology. We live in the digital age where things that were only possible on a cartoon called the Jetsons have become commonplace. Plenty of us use the technology (Smartphones, Tablets, Social Media, Apps, etc), but very few of us (less than 0.05%) are actually manufacturing and developing the technology, Let alone coding it.

Nate Bernadeau is a Haitian American who lives in the Washington DC area and is passionate about changing that number. His site MyConnect Media is not only an alternative to Facebook, which has been known to block African Americans for various unknown reasons (see what happened to the Shade Room’s page of 4 million fans). This makes it unstable for people who are trying to consistently grow a Fanbase.

Then when you factor in what happens when a potential employer looks at your Facebook profile, tens of thousands of job opportunities are missed because someone decided to have a few drinks and take a few inappropriate pictures. Myconnect seeks to fix that and change the way that social media operates whereby:

  • Users can create 2 profiles, 1 personal and 1 professional or resume profile. Both will be kept separate so potential employers won’t be able to spy on you.

  • Users can post links, upload images, videos, music to create a music playlist.

  • Businesses will be able to do target marketing similar to Facebook and other social networking sites.

  • Users can create Communities and within each Community, users will be able to create sub Communities or Categories.

  • 10 star rating system for Businesses. (This can allow folks to give more feedback than what Yelp! currently offers)

It Looks Like Charlie Sheen Has Had A Change Of Heart About Rihanna!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Shoot your shot Charlie!

As you know the HIV-positive, mess-of-an-actor, Charlie Sheen dissed Bad Gal Rihanna not only back in 2014 but also recently when he stopped by ‘Watch What Happens Live’.

Sheen seems to have recently had a change of heart about RiRi and is extending an olive branch to the singer.

After being dragged to hell and back once again by Rihanna’s loyal fan base, The Navy, Sheen took to Twitter to express his regret of calling Rihanna a b-tch on national television.

“dear @badgalriri, pardon my inane self indulgence. let’s have a drink someday (on me),” the actor tweeted.

Sheen posted his “apology” with a photo of Rihanna rocking a pink wig, reminiscent of their 2014 Sheen-sparked feud where he insulted Ri’s pink hair.

Their original beef stemmed from Sheen going on a rant on Twitter about Rihanna allegedly refusing to come over and meet his girlfriend when they once dined at the same LA restaurant.

After calling her a b-tch he also stated,

“She abandoned common courtesy and common sense!”

It looks like wild man Sheen put down the drugs for a day. Good for him!

(AllHipHop News) Speaker 1:Atlanta rap artist Waka Flocka Flame had a strong message for Donald Trump last night (January 17th), during a performance at Georgia Theater.

Waka was midway through his set, when he noticed someone in the crowd rocking a Donald Trump jersey.

He promptly asked the fan to give him the Donald Trump basketball jersey he was wearing.

“That’s a Trump jersey, right?,” Waka Flocka asked the concertgoer.
