Many rappers have spoken out about Doe B’s untimely passing, the latest being Young Scooter who has dedicated his latest track, “Letter 2 The Streets” to the late emcee.
The instrumental alternates between understated piano riffing to menacing synthesized strings, and finds ScooWop busting out some of his biggest melodies yet about halfway through.
(AllHipHop News) At this point, it may save a lot of time and confusion to just call him Calvin Broadus. The ever changing Snoop Lion has assumed a new form for his music video for “Get Away” featuring Major Lazer: a Pokemon.
Directed by Ashten “Whoopi” Winger and animated by Mykola Dosenko the video finds Snoop Lion and production team Major Lazer transformed into digital characters on a quest.
The song “Get Away” appears on Snoop Lion’s first reggae album, Reincarnated which has been nominated for Best Reggae Album at this year’s Grammy’s.
Check out the 16-bit video for Snoop Lion and Major Lazer’s “Get Away” below:
A South Carolina couple was in the middle of chaos while the rest of us were getting ready to ring in the new year. Police showed up to the home of Helen Ann Williams, 44, on December 30, at 12:20 a.m, where they found a 41-year-old man covered in blood from chest and facial lacerations, according to UPI.
The man told authorities that his wife got enraged when he returned home without beer because the store was closed, and used a ceramic squirrel to beat him over the head and stab him.
However, the wife had a different story. She claimed her husband fell and cut himself and that the blood she had on her hand and clothes had already been there.
Riiiight.
The police took her into custody and the man was treated at a hospital.
This had to be deeper than beer though. Seriously?

The world has lost a truly special man. I am very saddened to say that James Avery has passed. Even though he played my father on TV, he was a wonderful father figure to me in life. He will be deeply missed.

Happy Monday my Warriors of Light! Welcome to week two of the best year of your life! Today’s Daily Word is dedicated to accountability! Being accountable is simply the fact or condition of taking responsibility… Who are we fooling? You know what you want out of life! You know what it’s going to take to get there…. Now is the time to hold yourself accountable! As Eleanor Roosevelt once said “In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility.” Effective immediately we need to stop letting ourselves off the hook! We have dreams and aspirations that are longing for our arrival! The time has come to fit into our greatness and become what our higher power has reserved for us! Your playing small does not benefit the world!! You have an obligation to not only become your best self but to leave the world better than how you found it! Take accountability and make your life great!

-Anita Septimus
“Remember that you are unique. If that has not been fulfilled, then something wonderful has been lost.”
-Martha Graham
“There is only one real failure in life that is possible, and that is, not to be true to the best one knows.”

Some junk…The rumors are a bit light at the moment, but there is a lot of junk floating around in cyber space.
WEIRD…
Some wack job carded LeBron James. Peep the report from Page Six:
He may be “King” of Miami, but LeBron James still isn’t safe from being carded in Orlando.
The 6-foot-8, 29-year-old NBA MVP was forced to produce his license like any other twentysomething at a hotel bar after the Orange Bowl Friday.
A writer for Bleacher Report*witnessed the incident and tweeted that the “bartender was serious.” James reportedly laughed off the unlikely carding.
That bartender needs to be slapped up! Lebron looks all of 38 and a half.
OJ IS DYING?
I know OJ Simpson is before the time of some people, but he’s a part of history. He’s also one of the dumbest MFs in the history of sports in that he quite possibly beat a murder and then got locked up on some other stuff years later. Now, he wants Obama’s help getting him out of the bing, because he claims he has cancer. And he might. Dude looks really bad these days, but I can’t see Obama doing a thing since OJ killed a white woman, he’s forever the scourge of America. He’d be up for a full pardon if he killed a Black male or female of color. Anyway, a 33 year sentence in a death sentence for the “Juice.” Just saying.
JAY Z GETS BACK WITH THE YOUNG GUNS!
A recent report suggested that Jay Z was in bad with the millennial nation. But, I don’t know how true that is. And, on top of that, you know how Jay can be. He’ll see something and counter it without commenting formally. I would not doubt that this is a response to the article that claims kids don’t know, trust or particularly like Jay.
This was actually dope though.
MELT DOWN…ELECTRIC BOOGIES!
Antoine Dodson is bugging out. I think he’s wrestling between being a father and gay. Or he’s looking for a reality show. I don’t know but the spill is real.

(AllHipHop News) No good deed goes unrewarded , not matter how misguided the deed. Six weeks after Jay Z’s BNY SCC collection debuted to heavy criticism, the collection has reportedly surpassed $1 million in sales.
The partnership was originally designed to provide Jay Z’s charity the Shawn Carter Foundation 25% of all proceeds(with Barneys accumulating 75%). However, after numerous lawsuits against Barney’s regarding racial profiling in the weeks prior to BNY SCC’s November 20th debut, the deal was changed as to give the Shawn Carter Foundation 100% of the proceeds. In addition, the Foundation is also stipulated to receive 10% of all Barneys sales of the collection on the day of its debut.

Jackson starred as Jedi Knight Mace Windu in all of the second run of Star Wars episodes- The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith. Stars Wars Episode I began filming in June of 1997.

Clifford also claims that Death Row rapper Tha Realest was used to imitate Pac on songs in order to keep releasing music under his name. He even accuses Treach of Naughty By Nature of purposely using Tha Realest to sound like Pac on one of his tracks.
“A lot of them Tupac songs that weren’t finished, they put Tha Realest on,” states Clifford. “That’s what fueled all these rumors that Tupac’s still alive.”

“With me, I am comfortable in my skin, like, hey it’s okay for your to be this size, it’s okay for you to be this way. People will accept you for who you are,” Bu told rollingout.com last year. “Because so many people have tore the people down and tell them ‘you need this’ and ‘you need that.’ And people tell me these things also.
