EXCLUSIVE: Trina Discusses Relationship With French Montana and New Mixtape “Back 2 Business”

(AllHipHop News) Miami rapper Trina hosted an exclusive release party for her new mixtape “Back 2 Business” last night (December 3), in Miami, Florida.

A number of rappers were on hand at Club Mansion to support Trina, including Bronx rapper French Montana, who serves as executive producer of “Back 2 Business.”

Trina took time out of the release party to discuss the mixtape with AllHipHop.com and how she linked with French Montana.

“We went into the studio, just vibing and listening to the records,” Trina told AllHipHop.com. “He [French] asked me if I was working on my album, and I said ‘of course’ and it was just like instant chemistry. He played me a bunch of tracks and unreleased music and I liked the sound and the direction. He was like let’s work together let’s make it happen and he made it happen.”

Trina’s “Back 2 Business” mixtape is a prelude to her sixth full-length album, which will be her first official release in over two years.

Trina also has a high-profile role in an upcoming talk show named “Tiny Tonight” on MTV being hosted by TI’s wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris, Tamar Braxton and Claudia Jordan.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Suge Knight Manages Katt Williams? What Tha?

When I heard Katt Williams got arrested AGAIN, I thought it was something old. The brother had just slapped up a Target worker and rolled out on a Rascal scooter! What else can happen? It happened.

Katt reportedly got into a fight in a Seattle Bar and was doing everything from throwing cigarettes in peoples eye to tossing rocks at cars! But, what caught my eye ewas the fact that they said that Suge Knight bailed him out of jail AND is Katt’s tour manager!

What the?

Why does this now sound eerily familiar. Now, this is the first I have heard of this situation, Suge as Katt’s tour manager.

But it appears this is true. Unbeknownst to me, Suge has been with Katt for sometime. He’s even pulled him off the stage when the comic was clearly on stage high as a MFer. Peep the video below and you can see Suge getting Katt under control. Apparently, they told him that he can’t get so high in Oakland.

Now they are calling Katt Williams “Krack Williams!” Do you think that Suge may have a heavier hand in there now that Katt is clearly on that stuff?

AHH Stray News: Jay-Z’s Birthday, Pharrell’s $16 Million Condo, Russell Simmons Honored

(AllHipHop News) A number of celebrities took to Twitter to celebrate the birthday of Sean “Jay-Z” Carter. The Roc Nation mogul is celebrating his 43rd birthday today (December 4). Hip-Hop star Snoop Dogg tweeted Jay-Z and wished his fellow rapper a happy birthday. “Happy c day to the big homie sean carter aka jay z jigga my ni**a. We the last 2 soldiers still standing from our era!” Hip-Hop mogul Russell Simmons labeled Jay-Z an “inspiration.” “Love the poets (rappers) from ‘jesus walks’ to ‘f the police’ the rappers make me smile. Happy bday to jay z my favorite rapper today.”

Producer Pharrell Williams is selling his Miami penthouse in the swanky Bristol Towers. Pharrell is asking $16.8 million for the oceanfront condominium, which was purchased in 2007 for $12.5 million. The residence, which occupies three levels, has five bedrooms, 6 1/2 baths, a home theater and views of Miami Beach, and downtown Miami.

Hip-Hop mogul Russell Simmons will be honored by the Producers Guild of America (PGA) with the Producers Guild’s 2013 Visionary Award. Simmons is being recognized for his philanthropy and charitable work and as a film and television producer, who provides opportunities to new talent. Simmons’ television show “Def Comedy Jam” as well as his role as a UN Goodwill Ambassador helped him earn the 2013 Visionary Award. “I’m sincerely humbled that the PGA chose me to receive a Visionary Award,” Russell Simmons told AllHipHop.com. “Just to be in the room with all those in the industry is a blessing.” The Producers Guild represents over 5000 members who work in the film, music and television industry. The award ceremony will take place Saturday January 26 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Did Chief Keef Have Something To Do With Lil’ Jo Jo’s Murder?

Slain Chicago rapper Lil’ Jo Jo’s mother recently made an appearance on BET’s Don’t Sleep! with T.J. Holmes and during her appearance she said that she believes Chief Keef is responsible for killing her son. Check out what she said below:

“I don’t believe him (Chief Keef), himself pulled the trigger but I believe he paid somebody to do it. I would like justice to come from this and to show kids it’s a better way to get an education and yes, I fear for my own life. [Police] have a couple leads, they’re still working on it.”

Before he was murdered, Lil’ Jo Jo and Chief Keef were known enemies and often went back and forth on twitter hurling insults at each other. Lil’ Jo Jo was gunned down while riding on the back of a friends bike in a Chicago neighborhood, after tweeting his location. Let’s hope the police solve the case soon and gives this grieving mother some justice.
