T-Rell’s new single “Can’t Stop Me” was inspired by the tragic death of T-Rell’s brother, the subject of the lead single “My Dawg,” featuring Boosie Badazz.
T-Rell opens up about the car accident that killed his brother.
“We were driving home from one of my shows and got into an accident where the car flipped 5 times, I survived, my brother died. I made ‘My Dawg’ about losing my brother and it blew up,” T-Rell explained. “My city got behind me and it spread from there. Then my friend, who was a promotor from Wichita, KS, got me to open up for my favorite rapper, Boosie for two shows and then I went on to open up for him for more shows. He saw my hustle, heard the song, and jumped on the remix.”
