(AllHipHop News) Alicia Keys and her record producer husband Swizz Beatz are set to receive top honors from the Recording Academy Producers & Engineers wing.
Keys and the hip-hop mogul, born Kasseem Dean, will be recognized ahead of the Grammy Awards on January 25 during a ceremony at the Rockefeller Center’s fabled Rainbow Room in New York.
The event will celebrate the couple’s distinguished contributions to the music industry.
“With multiplatinum success, fierce dedication to the craft, and unwavering support for the art of recorded sound, Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz represent the power of groundbreaking ingenuity in our creative community,” said Neil Portnow, President/CEO of the Recording Academy in a statement.
“Alicia and Swizz have set new precedents for excellence and their contributions are paramount. This is sure to be an unforgettable evening, and we are thrilled to be able to celebrate them together as an undeniable force in the industry.”
Last year’s recipient of the accolade was rocker Jack White, who duetted with Alicia on the “Quantum of Solace” James Bond movie theme “Another Way to Die.”
Keys and Dean married in 2010 and have two children together.
