CHARLES HAMILTON RETURNS WITH MANKIND

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Charles Hamilton has returned as a producer, assisting ManKind members SciryL and !LLumiN@TE on this new album 8-Bit Genesis.

The entire album was inspired by the rudimentary sounds of the Sega Genesis game console, to craft an album that’s billed as a “love story narrative that incorporates video game characters and messages about faith.”

Each one of the songs on 8-Bit Genesis are named after the titles of popular 1990s video games like “Mortal Kombat,” “Tomb Raider,” and “Double Dragons.”

“Once we came up with the title, we decided to use religion and video games as the backdrop for a love story,” !LLumiN@TE told AllHipHop.com. “The project is also a metaphor for ManKind’s relationship with God as we often choose to look externally for things that can only truly be found internally.”

Charles Hamilton and ManKind also teamed with music video generator startup MVGEN to create a visual album for the new album.
