(AllHipHop News) One of the standout tweets during Kanye West’s recent Twitter explosion was directed at former president Barack Obama. The Chicago native took issue with what he saw as Obama’s lack of help for their hometown.

Some critics called out Kanye for blasting Obama for supposedly not helping Chicago without providing examples of his own recent efforts to assist the residents there. According to TMZ, Mr. West has a plan for the Windy City.

G.O.O.D. Music affiliate Malik Yusef is reportedly working with Kanye as well as other prominent Chicago natives Common, Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa, and Don C to launch Donda Social. The organization’s mission is to visit impoverished areas of Chicago and work with local citizens to come up with political and financial solutions for problems those people are facing.

The celebrities said to be involved in Donda Social have a history of doing philanthropic work in Chicago. For example, Chance has his Social Works nonprofit and Mensa recently launched his SaveMoneySaveLife nonprofit.
