LL Cool J Helps 200 Kids In His Old Neighborhood

LL Cool J hosted a basketball camp to get students in shape on and off the court.

(AllHipHop News) Rapper LL Cool J may be one of television’s biggest stars, but he still takes time to give back to the boro that birthed him.

Over the weekend, LL Cool J was in Queens where he hosted the closing ceremonies of the 15th Annual Jump & Ball Community Camp.

Over 200 youths participated in LL Cool J’s month-long camp, which was held for kids from his old neighborhood in Southeast Queens.

The 5-week athletic program was dedicated to health, fitness and team building.

The students not only learned the game of basketball, but they were also taught critical skills needed to make it through life.

To top it off, the Queen’s legend provided the students with a performance by the Harlem Globetrotters, some free food, back to school supplies and free haircuts as well.
