(AllHipHop News) Rapper Nelly has been sued by American Express after allegedly accumulating a debt over $20,000.
American Express charges that the multi-platinum selling rap star has not paid the debt and was subsequently forced to pursue legal action to collect the debt.
Am Ex filed a lawsuit to collect the $20,403.64 debt in October and also tacked on an additional $3,000 in legal fees as well. They claim Nelly refuses to pay.
A court hearing is set for January 9, according to TMZ. The suit was originally filed in October.
At press time, Nelly has not commented on the suit.
