NFAC leader Grand Master Jay saw a major victory in court this week.
John Fitzgerald Johnson, who founded and leads the Black militia, faced numerous charges related to him allegedly pointing a rifle at cops the night before the Kentucky Derby.
The NFAC, or “Not F**king Around Coalition” started as a response to white vigilantes that murdered Ahmaud Ahbery as he jogged in Brunswick, Georgia. Johnson and the NFAC descended on Louisville in an effort to get justice for Breonna Taylor, a woman that was fatally shot by police in March as she slept.
Grand Master Jay was arrested months after the alleged Louisville incident happened, on December 4. At that time, he pled not guilty to five federal charges in court. Oddly, the single officer, Brett Hankison, accused of murdering Breonna Taylor received the same charge as Jay.
A grand jury indicted Johnson on one count of assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers or employees and one count of brandishing a firearm in relation to a crime of violence.
Four of the five counts of wanton endangerment levied by the state of Kentucky were dropped.
Grand Master Jay has steadfastly asserted his innocence and his supporters maintain he is being targeted by the government.
Eleanor Harvey, a friend of GMJ, said that this victory did no mark the end of their struggle, asking for legal support.

The first charge carries an enhanced penalty of up to 20 years in prison if the person “uses a deadly or dangerous weapon” or “inflicts bodily injury,” or a stiff financial penalty $250,000 fine and up to three years of supervised release.
