(AllHipHop News) Versatile entertainer Nick Cannon will be writing, directing, and producing a new independent film titled She Ball, according to Variety. The Ncredible Entertainment head will also star in the movie along with Chris Brown, Evan Ross, Cedric the Entertainer, Rebecca De Mornay, Faizon Love, K.D. Aubert, Luenell, and Marla Gibbs
“I’m very excited for this film. It’s something powerful for the culture, uplifting for the community, and the film’s main objective is to empower women! It’s going to be Ncredible!” said Cannon.
She Ball is about Avery Watts (Cannon) working with a women’s street basketball team to help save the Inglewood Community Center. Athletes from the WNBA, Ball Up, and the Basketball Beauties League will also appear in the motion picture.
Previously, Cannon served as the lead actor in movies such as Drumline, Love Don’t Cost a Thing, and Chi-Raq. Chris Brown’s filmography includes turns in Stomp the Yard, This Christmas, and Takers. Evan Ross’ breakout role came in ATL.
