“I had to get rid of every fear, anxiety, doubt, and negative mindset to make this project. Through it all, I’m just proud and thankful for the opportunity to share this part of myself with y’all. Humbled and thankful to all of y’all that have been patient with me but I’m proud to say ‘soon’ is almost here,” posted Reason on Instagram.

New Beginnings will follow the There You Have It studio LP from 2017 which was re-released in 2018 under the TDE banner. Reason also contributed to Dreamville Records’ 2019 compilation Revenge of the Dreamers III. Throughout this year, he dropped songs such as “Might Not Make It,” “Field N****,” “Pop Sh-t” featuring ScHoolboy Q, and “Sauce” featuring Vince Staples.
