(AllHipHop News) The cops in Florida have busted one man they believe was involved in a brazen jewelry heist in the middle of broad daylight in mid-town Manhattan.
Avianne & Co. Jewelers is distinguished for icing out Rich Da Kid, Lil Uzi, Young Thug, Travis Scott, Future and any other rapper who can afford their services.
On Sunday (August 25), three armed men strolled into the store in the middle of the day, hog-tied and duct-taped four workers and seized over $4 million in jewels.
The cops in Pasco County, Florida caught up with a suspect named Pedro Davila and placed him under arrest for the robbery.
“In the day and age of technology and cameras, you would think robbers trying to pull off a cinematic heist would think twice,” FBI Assistant Director-in-Charge William F. Sweeney Jr. said. “But these men allegedly took over a jewelry store in Midtown, tied up the employees and robbed it without believing they would get caught. Their mistakes should be a warning to everyone wanting to be a copycat, you will get caught and pay the price for breaking the law.”
The police have already captured another guy named Jaysean Sutton and they are still tracking the third robber.
Davila, 27, hails from the Bronx, while Sutton is 39 and resides in Brooklyn.
Both men face a bunch of serious charges including armed robbery, one count of robbery conspiracy, and one count of brandishing of a firearm.
Davila and Sutton are looking at possible life sentences for the bold armed robbery.
“In working to reduce crime past already record-lows in New York City, the NYPD is relentless in our pursuit of the relatively small percentage of the population driving the violence and disorder… The NYPD will continue, along with our law enforcement partners, to vigorously pursue and hold responsible individuals responsible for violent criminal activity,” added NYPD Commissioner James P. O’Neill.
