Offset Of Migos Denied Bail
Offset of the Atlanta trio Migos has been denied bail for the third time, according to the Statesboro Herald. Bulloch County Superior Court Judge John R. Turner denied his bond after a Oct. 9th hearing and filed documents to deny bond on Monday (Oct. 26). He previously denied Offset’s bail during May and June hearings.
Offset was arrested back in April, along with Quavo and Takeoff, at Georgia Southern University after police found guns and drugs in their van. While Takeoff and Quavo were released, Offset was held due to previous criminal charges. The 23-year-old made matters worse after he had an altercation at the Bulloch County Jail in May, causing him to be charged with riot in a penal institution and battery.

Judge Turner decided that he will review the surveillance footage of the incident and then decide whether to grant bail.
Besides the riot charge, Offset is charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, marijuana possession and carrying a weapon in a school safety zone.

Last week Snoop Dogg celebrated his birthday and the public opening of his 420-friendly site MERRY JANE. The new media platform seeks to be at the crossroads of pop culture, business, politics, health, and the new generation of normalized and sophisticated cannabis culture.
Snoop was joined by MerryJane’s co-founder and media entrepreneur, Ted Chung, well as Chris Brown, Tyrese, Ty Dolla $ign, Chuck Liddell, O.T. Genasis, Slink Johnson, Julius Randle, and Zendaya.
The invitation-only event was held at Moonlight Rollerway in Los Angeles, sponsored by G Pen,Cuca Fresca, and Ciroc. Earlier in the day, Snoop posted an exclusive quote to MerryJane.com, noting the new public access to MerryJane.com was his birthday gift to everyone.

COOGI Celebrates The Legacy Of BIGGIE With Relaunch At PURE Atlanta

The COOGI brand partnered with PURE Atlanta and One Grand Gallery for Ready 2 Die, a tribute to the legacy of the Notorious B.I.G. and the relaunch of COOGI on Thursday, Oct 22nd. Lizzie PURE owner of PURE Atlanta said the collaboration was perfect for the store because of its longtime affiliation with Hip Hop.
“I’m a Hip Hop enthusiast and PURE has always supported the Hip Hop community. Doing this event with COOGI allowed us to be a part of the brands re-launch and I loved the idea of connecting with the art community,” Lizzie PURE says.
The event consisted of selected pieces of art honoring the late Notorious BIG on display at PURE. Several guests purchased artwork which was managed by One Grand Gallery. Ready 2 Die welcomed an eclectic mix of Atlanta’s art, fashion and Hip Hop community. Guests included Lil Scrappy, C Bone, Love & Hip Hop’s Premadonna, celebrity stylist & art enthusiast Renaldo Nehemiah, super producer Bryan Michael Cox and many more. Guests enjoyed COOGI inspired strawberries and PURE cupcakes from Black Diamond Edibles and were serenaded by a live brand playing various interpretations of trap music.

Kid Cudi Announces ‘Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven’ Album Release Date
Kid Cudi has been honing his alternative sound since releasing Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon in 2014. He is ready to unveil more of his new sound with the release of his upcoming album, Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven. The Cleveland spitter took to his Twitter feed to reveal that the album will drop on Dec. 4th.

Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven will be a double disc album, with the first disc featuring all the album cuts and the second disc consisting of rehearsals, outtakes, demos, unreleased songs and more.

Beyoncé’s Copyright Lawsuit Rules In Her Favor But Backup Singer Plans to Appeal

Last week Beyoncé won her case in a copyright infringement lawsuit filed against her by singer Javon, who claims B ripped off his song “XOXO” with her single “XO.”
On Oct. 21st a New York City court threw out the case for several of reasons, but Javon says he’s not going to accept the judge’s ruling.
Javon’s rep, Domenick Nati of Nati Celebrity Services, issued a statement to Entertainment Tonight, saying that the singer “is disappointed with the judge’s ruling and is considering fighting his case with an appeal.”
According to the ruling made by Judge Paul Engelmayer, there are many significant and substantial differences between the two songs.
Judge Engelmayer differentiated the tracks by writing, “”XOXO”s lyrics are explicitly sexual, while ‘XO’s are substantially more tame and metaphorical. The singer in ‘XOXO’ leaves little to the imagination, describing himself as ‘horny’ and singing that his love interest’s ‘body is the promise’.”

This isn’t the first time Beyonce has been the defendant in a copyright infringement lawsuit. Last December she was sued over her hit “Drunk in Love” by a singer, who claimed that Beyonce’s sampled of her 1995 song “Bajba, Bajba Pelem,” without permission.

Love & Hip Hop Hollywood fans know that Nia Riley and Soulja Boy’s relationship has been a tumultuous one to say the least. Soulja Boy seems to dog Nia out, and he’s been linked to India Love on BET, Diamond on Oxygen, and Nia on VH1 all in one year apparently. When a Love & Hip Hop Twitter account asked followers if they thought Teddy Riley sat down with Nia because of him being linked to so many women while dating Nia, Soulja tweeted and deleted, “F*ck Teddy Riley that n*gga a lame.” Fans quickly weighed in saying, Teddy Riley didn’t make all of these hits for Nia to be fighting over Soulja Boy. SMH!
