Brooklyn’s own, Young M.A., continues to stand strong. Her lyrical integrity has helped to earn her over 2 million YouTube views on “Brooklyn (Chiraq freestyle).” Having partnered with Duck Down Records for a distribution deal, her creative caliber will be available for the masses. Freestyling over Meek Mill’s “Check,” the Crown Heights native vehemently attacked the track. This will serve as notice and arouse more interest in her anticipated mixtape, SleepWalkin‘, which drops in August.
Before he had a chance to perform at the XXL Freshman Class concert last night (June 30), Kidd Kidd was hauled off to jail by NYPD. A video surfaced last night of the New Orleans spitter being escorted out of New York City’s Best Buy Theater and now there are some details regarding his arrest.
The arrest stems from a domestic dispute that happened in February where he is accused of strangling and assaulting a woman, TMZ reports.
Since the “Watch Me” rapper was behind bars, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo filled in for him and took the stage at the show.
No other details are known about the arrest at this time.
Jada Pinkett-Smith recently graced Atlanta media with her presence at her ‘Magic Mike XXL’ press conference at the St. Regis Hotel in Atlanta, G.A.
‘Magic Mike XXL’ reunites Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez and Gabriel Iglesias, who were all stars of the 2012 worldwide hit ‘Magic Mike.’ Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, “Magic Mike XXL” finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel. But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance.
Pinkett-Smith took a moment to discuss her role as Rome, it originally being written for Jamie Foxx, her view of adult entertainment, her blessed sex life, embracing the term MILF, and much more!
Jada shared that she loved that she had all of the freedom to create her character Rome. She even had influence with Rome’s wardrobe as she wanted it to command a balance between a sense of power all while still being accessible to the masculine, but being able to relate to the women. She expressed that the set was one huge party as sexual energy brings joy, and happens to be a gateway to the soul and to creativity. She went on to explain that basking in that energy was so much fun as it was joyous beautiful communication.
Pinkett-Smith shared that the role of Rome was originally written for a guy, and it was written with Jamie Foxx in mind. When it came down to it there were scheduling conflicts, and Tatum called Jada and expressed that he always envisioned a woman as the emcee. She explained that she was impressed with Tatum’s desired to bring a sense of responsibility to the world of adult entertainment.
Jada also expressed that she had some reservations with taking the role because of her work with human trafficking. She realized in her human trafficking advocacy that this industry is going to exist, so she rather bring responsibility to it than shut it down or act like it doesn’t exist. She wanted Rome to be an example that a woman can operate from a place of respect and integrity even in a sexually charged environment. Jada also embraced being considered a MILF at age 45. She explained that it’s nice to see that an older woman can still be viewed as attractive. In fact she went on to say that she believes as older women they get more attractive. She elaborated saying that when you are younger you are worried about image and the outside, and when you grow older it’s your wisdom that makes you attractive. I love the idea that people can still see an older woman as attractive.
Jada wasn’t shy about discussing her sex life. She explained that she had a blessed life, and this came with a twist. Her blessed sex life came as a result of her grandmother’s teaching of sex education. She also touched on Michael Strahan’s role in the film.
“I told him, you’ve got everybody else fooled thinking football was your only career. When this movie comes out there’s some tapes somewhere (that’s going to come out), this is not your first rodeo.”
The film is in theaters today! Make sure you check it out and let us know your thoughts!

Kanye’s kicks are all the craze – The Yeezy 750 Boost. This much I know…even though I’m not out here buying them. Young Thug dropped a weird little gem in a recent interview with Rolling Out Magazine. He told the publication that Kanye copped him some Yeezys on EBAY….yeah Ebay! I guess he doesn’t have a stash or something lying around? Maybe he just…wanted to impress the young androgynous rapper.
The Game is very active on his Instagram account and loves documenting every aspect of his life. Whether it’s his fatherhood experiences or his getting released from jail, it is all laid out on his IG. Now, the “Celebration” rapper has to pay for one post that his former nanny, Karen Monroe, claims sent her into a deep depression. A judge has ordered that Game pay his former nanny $200,000 after he did not respond to a lawsuit filed by Monroe accusing him on libel on Instagram, ABC reports.
In 2013 post, the Compton rep ranted about firing Monroe for “being caught lying, stealing, screaming at my kids, mistreating others kids & doing very inappropriate and unbecoming things of a baby sitter.” He claimed that she had had sexual intercourse in his daughter’s bedroom and that he had found a used condom as proof an that she also smoked and drank while babysitting his children. Game also mentioned that Monroe allegedly had a past of inappropriately touching children.
Monroe filed the lawsuit in July 2013 accusing Game of defamation and intentional infliction of emotional stress. Monroe’s lawyer. Manu Ellioe, said that millions of Game’s followers saw the post and she lost her job as the nanny for Nas and Kelis’ son because of his allegations. She said she also received death threats and had to be treated for going into a great depression because of it.

“ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! & Beware of this woman Karen Monroe!!!!!! Her Instagram is @karyn27 & I have blocked her from all three of my IG accounts!!! She was my children’s sitter up until last year & FIRED for being caught lying, stealing, screaming at my kids, mistreating others kids & doing very inappropriate and unbecoming things of a baby sitter… she was fired by me for those things & after she was BUSTED having sex with her then boyfriend and leaving a used condom & the wrapper in my daughter’s room!!! She currently baby sits for a few celebrities, most notable Kelis (@sausageandboots) & @nasnyc’s son “Knight” whom she constantly disrespects behind her back to others including my children’s mothers trying to win her graces but she is not allowed to be with or around my children!!! She also neglects their child Knight & leaves him unattended to make runs to Starbucks etc… When the parents are not around. She drinks heavily & smokes around the children & sometimes drops them off to be baby sat at others without the parent’s consent. After hearing some of the things said about Kelis & how she s referred to is not repeatable here due to its unjust nature!!!… I’ve asked by children several times & luckily none of them were abused by this callous individual… She will read this I’m sure so I would like to say… YOU ARE NEVER ALLOWED ANYWHERE AROUND MY CHILDREN AS LONG AS YOU BREATHE & IF YOU ARE CAUGHT ANYWHERE AROUND THEM IT WILL BE THE WORST DAY OF YOUR F#CKING LIFE!!! PS VERY CONCERNED FATHER!!! #REPOST AND SPREAD THE WORD PEOPLE… DO NOT LET ANY OTHER CHILDREN BECOME HER VICTIM!!!” – See more at: http://hiphopwired.com/2015/06/30/the-game-loses-200k-libel-lawsuit-against-former-nanny/#sthash.Y4nGguhp.dpuf

(AllHipHop News) Columbus Short is looking to return to television. The 32-year-old Missouri native will not be reprising his role as Harrison Wright on the hit ABC drama Scandal, but Short’s face could be back on the small screen in another capacity.
The actor/dancer/singer is looking to add reality TV star to his profile. Short’s career is now being handled by Block Entertainment CEO Russell “Block” Spencer, and the show biz veteran tells AllHipHop.com he is actively working to get a Columbus Short-led docu-series into production.
“We have two reality shows right now that I’m in negotiations with. One of them is with Columbus Short called Coming Up Short,” says Spencer. “It’s not going to be a lot of bullsh*t drama. It’s going to be showing how Block Ent is rebuilding the brand for music and new artists.”
Spencer is also producing another reality series titled Rebuilding Hip-Hop Block By Block. The program will travel to “untapped” markets to search for the next breakout music stars.
“They’ll have a chance to be on a major motion picture soundtrack or in the movie. They’ll have a chance to sign with a major label. I’m going to film all of that,” explains Spencer.
Russell “Block” Spencer founded Block Entertainment in 2005. He is responsible for helping to launch the music careers of Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Yung Joc, and Ciara. Spencer also serves as a consultant for NBCUniversal.
Besides appearing on Scandal for three seasons, Columbus Short has also acted in the motion pictures Stomp The Yard, This Christmas, and Armored. He worked as a choreographer as well.

(AllHipHop News) Knowing the dynamics of D12, it’s not hard to believe there were some crazy moments that took place during the rap group’s time together. Mr. Porter spoke with ThisIs50, and he shared a couple of previously unknown stories about fellow Dirty Dozen members Proof and Eminem.
Untold Proof story? If TMZ had been around this would be out. He was so f*cked up one time, he came out on stage with just a shirt on, no pants. Then he sprayed painted a green “p” – I don’t know where he got green spray paint from – and I remember him, whatever color, he spray painted “p” on his chest.
By the end of the day, he was running down the hallway at the hotel. You know the fire extinguisher? He let one of them b*tches off in the hallway of the hotel. That was one of the craziest things I’ve seen. It was just a wild night.
On Eminem:
I’ll tell you this. Me and him have a serious ongoing battle about a Mercury Tracer… A f*cking car. A piece of sh*t too.
There was this dude named Drunk Bob that stayed at our house. Remember Cheddar Bob [from the 8 Mile movie]?…
[Eminem] thinks I took the car, crashed it somewhere, and then brought it back. This has been an ongoing fight. When I tell you we’ll go on about this for hours, because I’m never going to admit something I didn’t do.
I think Drunk Bob’s ass woke up. He was always drunk, and he always had to go to work. Em used to park his car in the driveway, and Bob bumped the front of his sh*t… I think that’s what happened, because I didn’t take the car…
Where was I going? I was broke. I wasn’t going to the store.
Minnesota’s own T.O.N.Y continues his onslaught of new content as he keeps his #ToneTuesday series rolling. Today the Twin City native recreates Raekwons classic “Rainy Daze” instrumental, keep your eyes peeled as T.O.N.Y will be dropping his official single very soon, until then just vibe out.
(AllHipHop News) Vince Staples became the latest rapper to participate in a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” session. The Long Beach, California native answered questions from users of the social networking website.
Vince addressed several topics including his favorite albums of 2015 so far, his number one OutKast project, his thoughts about old school Hip Hop from the West Coast, and more. The creator of the recently released Summertime ’06 album alsocontinued showing his appreciation for R&B singer Ray J.
VS: He fat and ugly. That’s my n*gga though. He helped me with a lot and still does.
–
bearf*ckers420: You often say that you don’t really f*ck with rappers that are with the extras and sh*t, so how do you feel about the old school west coast music like Snoop, Tupac, Dre, etc? It seems like they set some of the blueprints for your style, and you can tell really easily on Shyne Coldchain Vol. 1 especially on the production.
VS: I’m 21 years old. Tupac had passed and those dudes weren’t making music by the time I was old enough to be influenced by them. I’m a product of my environment and so were they. The problem is that the environments have not changed.
–
GuyBelowMeDoesntLift: To someone who hasn’t listened to Summertime 06 yet, how would you describe it? Also, favorite Wu-Tang member?
VS: I think its something you have to listen to for yourself. It’s such a specific and unique experience for each person. I think the best thing to do is actually listen and come up with your own description. Also I’m pretty young, so I have no Wu experience outside of Ghostface and Method Man.
