Once again, it is all good. The Game and Young Thug have expressed apologetic sentiments in recent social media posts.
Young Thug was first to say sorry.
“See the way the world is set up, they want all blacks to kill each other. But we’re not. Black Lives Matter. So I salute Game, I respect him. I’m sorry for making that post about him. Even though he was wrong, and he was in the wrong business, and taking up for a n***a who wasn’t taking up for themselves. It’s all good,” he said.
The Game suggested in his portion that there may be a way to resolve the beef between Thug and Lil Wayne.
Appropriation has always been a constant in the music business. Catching the culture of a certain genre or even a specific region without giving proper credit to the originators and representatives, has long been an issue. Play, one half of the production duo Play and Skills, is no stranger to the issue. As a southern representative he and his artist Enertia McFly have had front row seats for it. But with Play and Enertia making their way into the EDM world and planning on combining Trap music with the EDM sound for Enertia’s upcoming project, How do they respect this new world while preserving their home-base? Well the boys say with AllHipHops MrMecc to talk about it.

White Appreciation Day? Really? This is what some people want down in Colorado. These hick dudes are saying the following from NBC NEWS:
A Colorado barbecue joint is taking heat after announcing a plan to hold a day honoring white people in June.
“On June 11th, what we plan on doing is ‘White Appreciation Day.’ And basically on that day, all white people would get 10 percent off,” Edgar Antillon, owner of Rubbin’ Buttz BBQ and Country Cafe in Milliken, Colorado, told NBC affiliate KUSA.
The idea for “White Appreciation Day” was originally a joke, but Antillon decided to turn it into a real deal, hanging up a sign at Rubbin Buttz that reads “White Appreciation Day! June 11th. Because all Americans should be celebrated.”

A restaurant in Colorado plans to hold a “White Appreciation Day” in June and will offer a discount to white customers.
“We have a whole month for Black History Month. We have a whole month for Hispanic Heritage Month. So we figured the least we could do is offer one day to appreciate white Americans,” Antillon said.
Critics called the plan absurd.
“It’s wrong. If you’re going to give a discount, give it to the whole community,” Ricardo Romero, a civil rights activist in northern Colorado, told KUSA.
There could also be legal repercussions, said Jennifer McPherson with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.
“If someone felt like they were being discriminated against, they could come to the civil rights division and file a complaint with our office, and we would investigate that,” she said.
Antillon insists the discount is meant to bring people together, not discriminate. He added that as a first-generation American born to Mexican parents, he has experienced racism throughout his life.
“We’re all American. Plain and simple. Whether you come from a different country or you were born here, we’re all American,” he said.
When you have a crew that covers three separate Hip-Hop eras, the perspective is bound to be a unique one. With the combination of Wordsworth, Master Ace & Stricklin, the three members that form EMC, that perspective is on display for the world to see. In part one of this interview, the crew sat with AllHipHop’s MrMecc before their show at SOB’s for their new album The Tonite Show to discuss everything from staying competitive and remaining relevant to the era of sneak dissing and the time LL Cool J Dissed Big Daddy Kane.
After the death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray due to fatal injuries sustained during an arrest, Attorney General Loretta Lynch has announced that the Baltimore Police Department will be investigated by the U.S Department of Justice, CBS reports.
The Justice Department “will seek to determine whether there are systemic violations of the Constitution or federal law by officers.”
“Rather than examining whether the police department violated good policies, we will examine if they violated the constitution and the community’s civil rights,” Lynch said during a press conference on Friday (May 8).
The investigation will focus on the the department’s use of force, their stops, searches, arrests and whether discriminatory practices are frequent within the department.
“If unconstitutional policies or practices are found we will seek a court enforceable agreement to address the issues and we will move forward to improve policing in Baltimore even as the pattern of practice investigation is underway,” Lynch saud. “Our goal is to work with the community, public officials, and law enforcement to create a stronger, better Baltimore.”
Baltimore State Attorney Marilyn Mosby recently charged the six officers involved in Gray’s death with a slew of charges that included second-degree murder.

The thing about elevator doors is that they open and close, a point to keep in mind if you’re planning to rob someone in an elevator. Deputies in Florida’s Broward County say surveillance video shows a man armed with a knife entering an elevator and taking the purse of a 77-year-old woman. Then he tries to leave and walks smack into the closing doors. He eventually gets out, and is still at large.
