Not a lot going on around here, but here are some quickies.
Waka Flocka and Gucci ain’t going to be cool no time soon. Recently, it has seemed like Gucci is extended an olive branch to Waka, but it doesn’t seem like Waka is accepting it. They are not friends at this time.
SlaughterHouse is in the studio working on their new album! Just Blaaaaaaaze! Should be incredible.
Last night Kanye West previewed his album in New York. Jay-Z and B were there, among others. Most noticeably, Kanye West seemed to be genuinely happy during the session. I also heard that his father was there. Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip, Tyson Chandler and some others were there.
Keri Hilson dispelled the notion that she was pregnant and/or taking a hiatus. I don’t get why we are talking about her goth now then.
I saw a weird picture online of Eminem and Clinton Sparks, apparently in i Las Vegas. Not sure what else is up with that. Eminem out partying? That’s like seeing a one-eyed alien.

Big Willy Da Kid: Will Smith In The Studio With Gillie Da Kid
(AllHipHop News) Will Smith and Gillie Da Kid are both from Philadelphia and both have rapped before. The commonalities between the two end there.
In this recent clip, Gillie Da Kid shares with the Fresh Prince some new music and his latest role in the movie Brotherly Love which featured Ving Rhames. In between franctic head nods and the occassional “Woo”, Smith took some time out to get a quick workout in, however we do not get any visuals of Will in the booth or any future music.

(AllHipHop News) Yesterday (June 10th) Kanye West’s creative agency DONDA unveiled his new street promotion for his upcoming Yeezus album in the form of a poster of his album cover with the words “Please Add Graffiti” over it. The image began to gain traction online last week when it appeared on YeezyGraffiti.com. The image was quickly deleted and found to have originated from a tweet from A.P.C. Apparel founder Jean Touitou.

The creator of YeezyGraffiti, 21 year old Leighton McDonald from Greenville, South Carolina speaks exclusively with AllHipHop on the origins of the Yeezus street promotion, inspiration behind YeezyGraffiti.com and his DONDA aspirations.
AllHipHop: It has been reported that the picture of the Please Add Graffiti originated on your YeezusGraffiti site but was taken down. Why was it taken down?
Leighton McDonald: The picture actually was posted/leaked around 4am eastern time on Instagram by the founder of A.P.C. Apparel, Jean Touitou. Soon it was officially posted by Virgil Abloh of DONDA, who is also Kanye’s stylist/creative director. So the image did not originate from the site itself, but the message of “please add graffiti” led to the making a thread on KanyeToThe.com (kanye’s biggest and best fan site) and from then on, we started to get submissions and i decided to make a tumblr. Once the Tumblr picked, up, i decided to give it an official name. YeezyGraffiti.com
Kanye Reveals ‘Yeezus’ Features At NYC Listening Session
(AllHipHop News) On last year’s “Mercy” Kanye West rapped about how he doesn’t do any press, but he gets the most press. That point was made clear once again after the Chicago rapper/producer hosted a listening session for his Yeezus album last night at New York City’s Milk and almost immediately info began leaking out.
This biggest news from the event was the announcement that rapper Chief Keef will appear alongside Grammy winning folk singer Justin Vernon on a song called “Can’t Hold My Liquor.” Both Keef and Vernon have worked with Kanye before but never on the same song.
Vernon (who performs under his band’s name Bon Iver) added vocals to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’s “Monster” and “Lost in the World.” Kanye co-opted Keef’s “Don’t Like” for the Cruel Summer compilation which included a verse from the teenage rapper.
Another much talked about Yeezus track is a mash-up of TNGHT’s “Higher Ground” with the classic Billie Holiday lynching protest song “Strange Fruit.”
Kanye also confirmed that French EDM duo Daft Punk assisted on several songs on Yeezus, and as previously reported, Rick Rubin executive produced the LP.

DJ Quik’s Daughter Charged With 1st Degree Murder In Death Of Son
(AllHipHop News) In tragic news, Davienna Mariena Blake, the daughter of West Coast legend DJ Quik, has been charged with murder in the death of her 2-year-old son.Blake, 21, and her boyfriend, Darnell Moses Alverez, 24, were arrested by Phoenix, AZ police after they were found standing over the body of the child outside of their apartment. The child had multiple injuries, including a lacerated liver, bruising and internal bleeding, stemming from beatings from a belt.
Witnesses claim that Alverez beat the child severely for wetting the bed.
When the child wet the bed on another occasion, Alverez allegedly beat the boy with a leather belt. Blake reportedly did nothing in a passive hope to avoid a prolonged beating of the child.
Blake reportedly went to work and came home to find her son with additional bruising and even stopped breathing as she and Alvarez argued over whether or not to take their son to the hospital.

Alvarez admitted to beating the child with a belt to police.
Both parents were arrested on suspicion of child abuse and first-degree murder.
U-God Announces New ‘Keynote Speaker’ LP; Drops First Single “Heads Up”
(AllHipHop News) After reuniting with his fellow Wu-Tang Clan brethren at Hot 97’s Summer Jam, founding member U-God announced his third solo album Keynote Speaker is hitting stores on July 23rd.
The 15-track project will be released on RZA’s Soul Temple Records and will feature Method Man, Inspectah Deck, Kool Keith, Styles P, and Elzhi.
As a precursor to the full length album, U-God drops the first single “Heads Up” featuring GZA and Jackpot Scotty Wotty.
The Universal God of Law will follow-up that single with the Styles P assisted “Fame” and the autobiographical track “Skyscraper.”
The entire Wu-Tang Clan will appear at this year’s Bonnaroo Festival on June 16th, and will headline the traveling Rock The Bells festival later this summer.
The RTB shows will feature a hologram performance of the late Wu-Tang member Ol’ Dirty Bastard.

Apple Announces New Music Streaming Service iTunes Radio
(AllHipHop News) The company the revolutionized personal computers, cell phones, and music playing devices is now taking on internet radio. The AP is reporting that Apple unveiled iTunes Radio on Monday at the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco.
The music streaming service will offer a free version, but subscribers of the $25/year music storage service iTunes Match can listen to iTunes Radio commercial free.
iTunes Radio will personalize playlists based on listeners’ previously played music and from songs that have been purchased from the iTunes store.
Users will also be able to create songs, artists, and genre stations similar to the options on fellow streaming site Pandora, but instant play of a particular song is not available.
Unlike Pandora, Apple will not limit the number of hours of free listening on mobile devices. In February, Pandora restricted its non-paying, mobile users to only 40 hours per month.
Besides Pandora, Apple will be competing in the music streaming market against Spotify, Rhapsody, Rdio, and new services from Google and Samsung.

iTunes Radio will be included in the iOS 7 upgrade for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Apple TV. It will also be available on Mac and PC. iOS 7 is scheduled for release this fall.
Rick Ross Hints Mastermind Album Will Have A Soulful Vibe
(AllHipHop News) Rick Ross is currently putting together his sixth solo album, and the Maybach Music Group Boss revealed to MTV News that his Mastermind LP will definitely feature some soulful tracks.
“I love making those kind of records, those ‘Cigar Music’ records, those ‘Amsterdam’ records, and that was most definitely the energy,” said Ross.
The Miami rapper is referring to the Bink! produced bonus track on his third album Deeper Than Rap and the song from 2012’s God Forgives, I Don’t produced by Cardiak.
All of Ross’ albums have included songs that harken back to the music of the 1970’s. Port of Miami’s “Pots and Pans,” Trilla’s “Maybach Music,” and Teflon Don‘s “Tears of Joy” show Ross’ love for that soulful sound.
While the Curtis Mayfield-inspired vibe seems to be the direction the new album is taking, Ross confesses he is still leaving his options open to explore other lanes as well.
“I record so much material. We gotta wait and see,” said Ross.

2 Chainz Denies Being Robbed And Police Back Him Up
(AllHipHop News) Not so fast. 2 Chainz was robbed and shot at, according to published reports, but the rapper has refuted the claims. And police back him up.
“He was not the victim of a robbery. He was there, but he wasn’t the victim,” according to a report by Radio.com.
Many reports and law officials claimed that 2 Chainz was robbed and a couple shots rang out in the process.
On top of it, Mr. Chainz responded on Twitter.
“Rule #1 if a rapper gets robbed people usually post items that has been taken. Rings, chains, watch , money etc. 2 answer that question. Rule#2 if a rapper gets shot he usually go to hospital or dies. Rule# 3 we definitely got geeked up in San Fran , best smoke in the world. 2 blessed 2 stress. I reportedly killed summer jam tho! #bayarea.”
Reports say somebody else in his entourage was the victim of the robbery.

“According to police, the rapper was walking with his entourage in the 800 block of Howard Street at about 4:30 p.m. when they were approached by a suspect carrying a handgun, who fired a gunshot. While most of the group scattered, one member of the entourage reportedly fell to the ground and was approached by the suspect, “who robbed him of an unknown item and fled the scene.”
