Cassidy Clears Up Rape Allegations, Explains Meek Mills Feud

(AllHipHop News) During a recent interview with Glocawear Radio, Cassidy discussed various topics including his on-going beef with Meek Mill, focusing on his new music and clearing up rumors with his involvement in a rape case.

Following the 10 minute diss record titled “R.A.I.D.”, which was a response track to Meek Mill’s “Repo”, the Philly rapper plans to no longer respond. Instead he revealed that he is looking forward to focusing on his upcoming album.

“If [Meek] don’t answer back or say nothin’ else or influence me to keep goin’ at him, I’ma just do what I do,” Cassidy explained. “I got a lot of projects I’m workin’ on, my next album, my next mixtape. I got a lot of music that’s about to drop so I can stick to that but who knows what he gon’ do.”

In addition, Cassidy touched on the rape allegations that AR-Ab revealed on the internet. The rapper wants it to be known that he’s not out here “taking p*ssy.”

“One of the things I definitely want to clear up is that they said I need to claim a rape case. When I was 16, there was a chick we was training every day from my school. Me and all my homies was messin’ with her, trainin’ her all the time,” recalled Cassidy.

“She came straight from school, came to our way. We had her for a long period of time and took her home probably at like 10 o’clock at night. She probably got in trouble with her mom and said we raped her. But her mom found out that she was dealin’ with us and sent a statement in, saying that she don’t want to press charges and she don’t want to go no further. But because Philly a commonwealth state, the state picked it up anyway. The way I was able to beat the case was because we made it into a p####. We had it on tape. They was able to see how it was goin’ down…That’s how I was able to beat the case.”

(AllHipHop News) In the midst of her American Idol press tour, Nicki Minaj appeared on NBC’s The Tonight Show With Jay Leno where she opened up about past career aspirations (“Doesn’t everyone grow up wanting to be a bus driver?”), first thing she would do as President of the United States (“I would legalize illegal U-turns”) and more.  Nicki refers her gig as the new American Idol judge as “getting a day job” in between working on her third album.

Clip of Nicki Minaj speaking on Mariah Carey:

This interview faired considerably better than the young mogul’s recent run-in with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club where she demonstratively accused the radio hosts of giving her bad interviews because of a lack of interest in researching.

Nicki Minaj’s as-of-yet untitled follow up album to 2012’s Roman Reload: The Re-Up is slated for a 2013 release.

With features from the likes of Bun B, Travis Porter, Chief Keef, Future, Cash Out and Gucci Mane just to name a few; his latest project Street Lottery has already been certified in the streets.

AllHipHop.com: With tracks like the Chief Keef assisted “On It” pushing the already major buzz behind Street Lottery, you’ve already gathered some notable features. How did some of these come about?

Young Scooter: I grew up with Future, and I met Gucci in the streets and connected like that.

AllHipHop.com: Your early collaborations with Gucci really made people take notice of your own individual talents; was it difficult getting to this point?

Young Scooter: It gave me a voice. You know how hard it is getting someone to listen to your music? Once I knew people were listening I just started putting more and more music out.

AllHipHop.com: Your music has found a real presence in the streets, why do you think you’ve found so much love in the hood?

Young Scooter: Let’s be real. A lot of rappers make CDs full of lies. I just talk about the streets, I don’t want to talk about things I ain’t actually did. I feel like I’m in my own lane, I gotta do it for the streets.

AllHipHop.com: Hosted by DJ Scream and DJ Swamp Izzo, Street Lottery has been well received. Do you have any videos coming out in connection with the project?

Young Scooter: We’re pushing it hard. There’s a video coming out for “Columbia” and I’m releasing a track featuring Monica for Valentine’s Day.

AllHipHop.com: Your recent success already has many wondering if a major deal could be on the horizon; do you have a preference?

Young Scooter: I’d rather stay independent. I’m getting more money that way right now.

AllHipHop.com: Have you considered any other roles within the city outside of that as an artist?

Young Scooter: I’d be interested in being an A&R. I don’t want to rap my entire life.

AllHipHop.com: Street Lottery has a slew of features from prominent artists; how do you determine who you work with?

Young Scooter: I don’t do that fake s###. It’s some people in the game that don’t even like each other. If I don’t like you, why the hell am I going to do a song with you?

AllHipHop.com: So what’s the move for the future?

Young Scooter: I’m going to be headlining a show at SXSW, (An annual film and music festival held in Austin, TX) and Gucci and I will be releasing Free Bricks 2 this summer.

Already well on his way to being a nationally recognized artist, Atlanta can rest well knowing that they are firmly on the back of Young Scooter.

Love & Hip Hop’s Winter Ramos Preps To Rock Music Industry with Tell-All Book

(AllHipHop News) Former assistant to hip-hop superstars, Winter Ramos revealed during last night’s (Janurary 14th) episode of Love & Hip Hop plans to put her experiences in the music business to print with a tell-all book, Game Over: My Love for Hip Hop. During a discussion with her co-star and former radio personality Jen “The Pen” Bayer, Ramos went through a few names that could potentially be included in her book:

“I’ve worked with Puff Daddy, Biggie Smalls, Junior Mafia, DMX, Eve, Ja Rule, Ashanti, Irv Gotti….I’ve dated these guys. I’ve slept with them. I’ve worked for them. I know the girlfriend. I know the baby mother. I know the wife. I even know the side chick.”

In the episode, Ramos stated her “friend”, the raspy MC himself, Jadakiss was the one who urged her to write the memoir. The Amazon book description labels Game Over as a “cautionary tale” for young women wanting to enter the music business:

“Winter Ramos, one of the new faces of VH1’s#### reality television show, Love and Hip Hop New York Season 3 delivers a brazen and unabashed memoir of her life in the world of hip hop. In Game Over, Winter puts all of her emotions on the page leaving no experience, emotional abuse, or former lover uncovered. From her days as assistant to rapper, Fabolous and friend to Jada Kiss, to appearing on Love and Hip Hop and being Creative Costume Designer for Flavor unit Films, Winter delivers a tell-all book on her famous ex-lovers and experiences in the music industry. As the chick that was always in the mix and cool with everyone, Winter was privy to the cray beyond the videos, private flights, and limos that the cameras caught for us. Her reality and theirs was no game. Game Over is Winter’s cautionary tale for the next generation of young women who believe that the fabulous lives of celebrities unveiled in blogs and on reality television shows are all FIRE! Stay tuned, because this GAME is about to get real.”

Ramos’ tale is the latest addition in an expanding list of hip hop tell-all books whose informational value varies from revelatory to purely novelty. In 2007, Nas’ ex-girlfriend, Carmen Bryan’s memoir, It’s No Secret more so supplemented the veracity of infidelity claims made by Jay-Z in his iconic battle with Nas than shed new information. However, Source Magazine Editor-In-Chief Kim Osario’s 2008 Straight From The Source revealed an omitted Camron diss on 50 Cent’s “Back Down” song from his 2003 debut album, Get Rich Or Die Trying. Even after admitting to fabricating the majority of her industry shaking Confessions of a Video Vixen, Karrine “Superhead” Steffans is penning a tell-all book about her relationship with Lil Wayne entitled How To Make Love To A Martian which potentially could include details on the former couple’s previous pregnancy.

Amazon has Game Over: My Love for Hip Hop slated for an April 3rd release.

Rhymefest Reunited With Father After 24 Years

(AllHipHop News) Chicago rapper Rhymefest has reunited with his father, after 24 years of being apart.

Rhymefest, born Che Smith, last saw his father when he was 11 years old.

The pair was reunited after Rhymefest bought a house that was being sold by other family members, on Chicago’s West side.

Once he was settled in, Rhymefest reached out to an uncle who had a friend, who said he had located his estranged father.

“It was not until I hugged him that I realized how much I missed having a dad around,” Rhymefest said.

According to Rhymefest’s father Brian Tillman, he lost track of his son due to his drinking problem, which he is currently receiving treatment for.

“I have a drinking problem. I can admit that now. It has prevented me from doing a lot of things, including being a part of his life,” Tillman said. “I am getting treatment for my drinking and developing a relationship with my two grandkids.”

Rhymefest said he would do what he could to help his father, who is still living in the homeless shelter.
