Supra Presents the Terry Kennedy and Kevin Romar Stacks Kicks

Skating and Hip-Hop culture have just about become synonymous in today’s era of street culture. It’s almost a given that some of today’s top skateboarders are bumpin Hip-Hop in their headphones while they are grinding it out on the streets, flipping tricks.

Even some of today’s top rappers are rocking skate gear and trying their hand at skating. SpaceGhostPurp and the Raider Klan are down with skating, so are Odd Future and the A$AP Mob.

What is it about the cultures that are so similar? Maybe Hip-Hop motivates these guys to get up after falling down, or maybe the music hypes them up to go bigger. Either way, the cultures have collided, and what you have next is the collision captured in the video below.

Edited as an ode to the Snoop “Gin and Juice” video from the mid-’90s. Supra hooks it up and showcases the SUPRA Pro + Am Collection.

Featuring four signature pro model shoes, redesigned by four different ams, the first installment in the Pro + Am Collection is a Terry Kennedy signature Stacks with a Kevin Romar designed colorway.

The TK + Romar Stacks features a unique, black, nappy suede upper with burgundy accents, burgundy mesh lining, a PRO + AM sock liner and hang tag, all on a burgundy cup sole with white sidewalls.

“The colorway is dope,” Kennedy said about the shoe. “I like the suede, it’s kind of like a brush, like an Afro almost. When I looked at it, that was the first thing that came to my mind: looks like an Afro. I’ve never seen that material before. It’s super interesting.”

“I got inspired by my hair: it’s nappy black,” Romar said about the unique suede—now known as nappy suede—he selected for his shoe. “And I had to throw burgundy on there, that’s one of my favorite colors. It’s pretty much just burgundy and nappy, two things that go good together.”

Giving Romar a colorway on a Terry Kennedy Stacks was an obvious pairing since the two hail from Long Beach and have had a long-standing relationship since before becoming SUPRA teammates.

“I’ve known Kevin since he was young,” Kennedy said. “He used to be up there at El Dorado [Long Beach skatepark] all the time just ripping. Always cool, always quiet, always polite.”

“We’ve been homies ever since,” Romar said. “And of course it’s his shoe—I like to skate in his shoe—so I just had to throw him in the commercial. Kind of a no-brainer.”

The TK + Romar Stacks is now available at skate retailers worldwide, and suprafootwear.com.

Jim Jones, Juelz Santana Accused Of Drinking Moet And Then Ditching Performance In Philly

(AllHipHop News) Rappers Jim Jones and Juelz Santana have been hit with a lawsuit in Philadelphia, over a botched 2010 concert.

According to the Philadelphia Daily News, Black Box Promotions filed a lawsuit against the rappers in Common Pleas Court.

Raheem Jefferson, of Black Box Promotions, claims that the rappers were booked for an April 2010 concert at The Blue Horizon.

Jefferson claims the rappers showed up to the event late, drank Moet champagne – and then refused to perform.

Jefferson and Black Box claim the rappers kept a $12,500 deposit, despite showing up to the venue and never performing.

A representative for Jim Jones and Juelz Santana blamed the promoter and said that the contract allowed the artists to exercise the right to not perform, if less than 200 people showed up to the venue.

Black Box Promotions is seeking over $50,000 in damages.

Game Set To Premiere “Celebration” Today; Discusses Video

(AllHipHop News) Compton rapper Game has announced he will debut the video for his single “Celebration” today (September 18).

“Celebration,” which features a sample from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s classic track “1st of Tha Month,” is the first single from Game’s upcoming album Jesus Piece and features a video shot by legendary director, Matt Alonzo.

The video for “Celebration” was inspired by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s “Nuthin’ But a G-Thang,” and features Chris Brown, Tyga, Lil Wayne and Wiz Khalifa.

“Celebration,” which was produced by in-demand producer SAP, also marks the first time these five artists have appeared together on one track.

“I’m a big Bone fan and been thinking about flipping “1st of tha Month” for a while,” Game explained. “‘Celebration'” is that perfect song to close out the summer. When Cool and Dre gave me the SAP [the producer of ‘Celebration’] beat, I started to call on my friends personally to lay verses on the song and make sure it came out the way I envisioned.”

Celebration” will debut on Vevo today at 3:00PM EST.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Amber Rose Tells All “B*tches” To “Stay Away” From Wiz Khalifa!

Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa are one step away from a reality show, aren’t they? They put just about everything about their relationship on front street, and I’m not mad at them for it either. Yesterday, Amber tweeted out her bare belly for the world to see.

The two, who many believe are secretly married, sat down for a recent interview with Complex where Amber shoots out a few warning shots urging all “b*tches” to stay away from her man. Check out what she said below:

“He’s so special. These b###### shouldn’t even be around him. They’re not cool enough to be in his presence. It’s like, ew, stay away.”

It seems as if Wiz feels the same way and professes that he doesn’t even look at other women:

“I don’t look at no girls. All I look at is my fiancée,” says Wiz. “I don’t got no reason to look at other girls. It’s weird to some people, but to us it’s the right thing. It’s how much we love each other.”

“Groupies? I don’t do that,” he says with disdain. “My girl said to me, ‘Baby, these b###### don’t even deserve to breathe your air.’

That’s love right there! Those two are perfect for each other.

Hip-Hop Rumors: What Legendary Rapper Is An Alleged Deadbeat Dad?

Well folks? You know the deal. First of all, this could be asked, “What Legendary Rapper Is NOT A deadbeat Daddy?” Well, we all know there are a lot of deadbeats out there. Furthermore, we keep a lot of secrets rappers hold. With that, I cannot tell the name of this legend, because 1) I love his music, which has been giving us classics since the 90’s, 2) He and his crew would probably find me and kill me violently and 3) This just may be a case of the disgruntled baby moms.

With that said, this OG killah is out there in the streets reppin’ the 90’s to the fullest in these modern times. But, a source hit me up and told me that one of his baby moms is out in these streets homeless wit child. Now, the source said he has money (how much is likely in question), but refuses to help this woman out of her condition. Now, according to the source, the baby muva isn’t a bird or anything like that and suggested he just refuses to help. I think there is more to the story. Nevertheless, I only have this one side of the story.

Don’t get yo’ legs broke, Ma.
