Remy Martin kicked off the third installment of their Producers Series this past weekend in Los Angeles, CA. The event is a way for upstart producers looking to make a name for themselves to be heard by industry executives and experienced super-producers who have already made their marks in the business. For season three, Remy Martin enlisted platinum recording artist and producer Wyclef Jean to host and give his insight and advice to the artists and producers in attendance.
Out of hundreds of submissions, five producers were chosen to partake in the first round of the beat battle by playing their hottest sounds to a panel of judges, in which the top three were selected to the second round. Two finalists were then selected to participate in the finale’ on December 10 in Los Angeles against the finalists from the San Francisco tournament on November 19. Soulja Boy and King Los were on hand to show their support for the event as both joined Wyclef in entertaining the crowd with freestyles.
