PANDORA LAUNCHES TOP 100 CHART

(AllHipHop News) Streaming platform Pandora has unveiled new charts, which will feature the top 100 played artists, 20 trendsetting artists, and 20 artists on the rise.

The digital giant is sourcing the info for their charts from music analytics platform Next Big Sound, which Pandora acquired just over a year ago.

The streaming site’s data service team for its rankings will also look at social media trends and the number of plays on the site to determine the rankings for some of its charts in combination with Next Big Sound’s services.

The top of Pandora’s Top Spins chart for the most played artists, includes heavyweights such as Drake and DJ Khaled, who come in  3rd and 4th place respectively with tracks “Too Good,” and “For Free.”

In addition, the site’s Trendsetters list features musicians whose music has been used to create the highest number of stations from over the past week.

On this list Chicago’s G Herbo holds claim to the 15th spot with South Florida’s Denzel Curry placing a notch above.
