Eminem’s Manager Paul Rosenberg To Take Over As CEO Of Def Jam

THERE’S A NEW CHIEF AT THE LEGENDARY RECORD LABEL

(AllHipHop News) Paul Rosenberg will join Rick Rubin, Russell Simmons, Lyor Cohen, Antonio “L.A.” Reid, and Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter on the list of prominent executives connected to Def Jam.

According to Variety, Rosenberg is set to take over the CEO position at the legendary record label.

Marshall “Eminem” Mathers’ longtime manager and business partner will replace Steve Bartels as Def Jam’s Chief Executive Officer in 2018.

Rosenberg has been a powerful industry insider for years.

He and Eminem co-founded Shady Records, home to Slaughterhouse, Westside Gunn, Conway, and others.

Besides the “Stan” spitter, Rosenberg also manages fellow Detroit rapper Danny Brown and New York rhymer Action Bronson.

The 46-year-old businessman will reportedly continue to serve as Eminem’s manager while he controls the reins at Def Jam.

The music company’s current roster includes 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Dave East, Fabolous, Jeezy, Kanye West, Logic, Nas, Pusha T, Vince Staples, and YG.
