EXCLUSIVE: French Montana Settles $1M Fake Watch Lawsuit, Loses Attempt To Hide Details As Judge Quotes His Lyrics

French Montana settled the $1 million Richard Mille watch lawsuit that’s been on his back since last fall and then immediately moved to bury every document connected to the case.

A federal judge in Nevada shut that down, and that ruling means the settlement terms are now headed for public view, whether he likes it or not.

The court denied his motion to seal the complaint, ruling that the case had been publicly accessible since it was filed on October 17, 2025 and that major outlets had already run detailed coverage of the allegations.

French’s legal team argued that keeping the claims in the public record, even after a resolution, posed a serious reputational risk given his profile and how fast coverage around his name spreads and gets distorted.

The judge found no compelling basis to grant that and made clear that embarrassment alone doesn’t justify sealing court files.

The backstory goes back to Paris Fashion Week in January 2025, when Justo Obiang and Samir Gato, who’d known French for over 15 years, agreed to loan him their Richard Mille RM-59-01, a watch they originally bought for around $450,000 in 2016 that had climbed well past $1 million in value by the time litigation started.

French handed over one of his own watches as collateral and committed to returning the piece within 30 days. As AllHipHop first reported, the watch he gave them as collateral turned out to be a counterfeit, and he stopped responding to both men after that.

Attorney Steve Haddad came out hard against the lawsuit when it first went public, saying the claims were untrue and insisting that French accepted the watch as payment for promotional work he did in Egypt at Obiang’s request, not as a loan.

The two sides reached a settlement before the case went to trial, but neither party has confirmed the terms. The court’s refusal to seal the record is what will bring those details into public view.

The judge drove the point home by pulling a line directly from French’s own catalog, citing his lyric “it don’t matter what you do, man, they still gon’ hate you” from “Salam Alaykum” in the April 23 ruling denying the seal.

Nicki Minaj Narrowly Avoided Shooting At Trump’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Nicki Minaj was running late to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday night when gunshots erupted at the Washington Hilton, forcing Secret Service to rush President Donald Trump and his cabinet off stage.

The Trinidadian rapper had secured an invite through Fox News as her political alignment with Trump deepened over recent months, but the timing worked in her favor when a 31-year-old suspect identified as Cole Tomas Allen charged a security checkpoint at 8:36 p.m. carrying a shotgun, handgun, and multiple knives.

Allen fired at a Secret Service agent before being subdued and arrested, sending attendees scrambling for cover as chaos erupted inside the ballroom.

Nicki posted a video on TikTok moments after news of the shooting broke, showing her face in a car with a U.S. flag emoji and prayer hands emoji, confirming she’d been stuck in traffic and never made it to the event.

Multiple social media reports verified she was running late and missed the entire incident, which marked Trump’s first time attending the dinner as president after boycotting it for over a decade.

According to TIME, Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said law enforcement believes Allen was targeting Trump Administration officials, likely including the president himself.

The suspect allegedly traveled to Washington by train from Torrance, California, where he worked as a teacher and held a degree in mechanical engineering from Caltech.

Trump later described Allen as a “lone wolf whack job” and noted that the officer who was shot was protected by a bulletproof vest and remained in good condition.

Allen faces charges of using a gun during a violent crime and assault on a federal officer with a dangerous weapon, with additional charges expected after his arraignment on Monday, April 27.

The incident derailed the annual event that typically features comedy and satirical remarks from the sitting president, but officials quickly rescheduled it for a future date.

Nicki’s political journey has generated significant headlines over the past year, from her appearance at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest in December where she proclaimed her support for Trump, to her attendance at the Trump Accounts Launch Summit in January where she clasped hands with the president on stage.

Chrisean Rock Claimed Controversial Victory As Mayweather Family Took Center Stage

Chrisean Rock and celebrity boxing collided in Chester, PA at Harrah’s Casino on Saturday night as she defeated Zenith Zion by split decision in a chaotic, but entertaining XRumble main event that doubled as a showcase for the Mayweather family.

Chrisean Rock secured the win behind early damage and relentless pressure, but the fight’s defining moments sparked as much confusion as celebration.

Rock set the tone in Round 1 when she dropped Zenith Zion with a clean right hand. The knockdown was clear, but the count administered by referee Floyd Mayweather Sr. raised eyebrows, with Zion given extended time to recover before the action resumed.

From there, Rock leaned into a straightforward approach. She pressed forward, forced exchanges and landed the heavier shots whenever the two engaged. Zion showed resilience and flashes of counterpunching, but spent much of the fight moving backward under pressure.

The controversy peaked in the final round. Mayweather Sr. ruled a knockdown against Rock that many observers questioned in real time, citing minimal contact. Some ringside called it a phantom punch.

The call stood, adding tension heading into the scorecards. While official tallies were not released, at least one judge reportedly scored the bout for Zion despite Rock appearing to control the majority of meaningful exchanges.

The emotional aftermath underscored the night’s intensity. Both fighters embraced in tears as music filled the arena and reality personality Tommie Lee entered the ring to console Rock. Lee, sitting ringside, also seemed to try to get in the ring during the action.

Beyond the main event, the Mayweather presence loomed large throughout the card. Family members were in attendance as Fatimah Mayweather made her ring debut on the undercard, earning a win over Venus Marcial. With Jeff Mayweather and Floyd Mayweather Sr. energizing the crowd and were bestowed with honors. Fatimah later entered the ring joyously and with visible confidence.

She controlled the early action by staying active while her opponent Marcial struggled to mount any sustained offense. Though her movement lacked the fluidity associated with her family’s legacy, Fatimah showed defensive awareness and improved aggression late, particularly in the third round, to secure the victory in the short-format bout.

The broader narrative surrounding the Mayweather name added another layer. Floyd Mayweather, who had been expected to fight Mike Tyson in the Congo exhibition, instead reportedly watched from afar as his sister competed.

As for Rock and Zion, a rematch appears inevitable, but there are some rumors of another bout. Their fight definitely had disputed calls and competitive energy that may create a natural demand for a second fight. Both women showed determination and heart, which warrants another booking.

For XRumble and promoter Damon Feldman, the night delivered attention and conversation in equal measure. The action was not traditional boxing, but it produced a viral moment and now Rock is a viable draw in the celebrity boxing space.

Our own Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur commentated the fight along with Eric Kelly, Jacqueline Watkins and veteran boxing broadcaster Marc Abrams.

Alicia Keys Exposes Music Industry’s Good Old Boy Network

Alicia Keys just put the music industry on blast for being exactly what she called it: a boys’ club that’s locked women out of the room.

In an interview with The Times of London, the 17-time Grammy winner didn’t hold back about how the system’s rigged against female producers, engineers, and anyone else trying to build a career behind the scenes.

She’s not just complaining either. She’s been actively creating opportunities to change it.

“The music world becomes a good old boy network and all the incredible women working as engineers and producers are not given an open door,” Keys said. “Women make up 2 percent of the entire business. I’m a producer and here we are, doing a bunch of work, killing it, so it’s shocking that the number is so small. Rather than just being p##### off about that, it was time to create opportunities.”

That last part is key because she’s already launched She Is the Music, an initiative designed to lift up the next generation of female creators in the industry.

When according to Variety, Keys talked about the feminist messages woven through her catalog, she made it clear they weren’t some calculated marketing move.

They came from real places.

“I didn’t aim to come up with feminist message songs, and most of them were written because I wasn’t feeling that strong so I had to give myself a pep talk to keep going, but it is a thread through my work,” she explained.

That authenticity is what’s made her resonate with so many people over the years.

For artists just starting out, Keys had some real talk about ownership and survival in this business.

“Think about how to become the owners of their own creations,” she told aspiring musicians. The reality she’s describing is brutal.

“No one tells you these things. You deal with all these executives and lawyers who love to take their percentages and overcharge you, but they never say, ‘How can we ensure you’re here to stay?'” It’s a system designed to extract value from artists while leaving them vulnerable, and Keys is calling it out.

Her work on She Is the Music represents more than just talk.

She’s putting resources behind real change in an industry that’s been slow to evolve.

Keys was named one of TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2026 for her efforts to reshape how the music world operates.

Petition Demands D4VD Removal From All Platforms After Murder Charge

D4VD faces mounting pressure from the music industry after being charged with first-degree murder and the sexual abuse of a minor.

The charges stem from the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose remains were discovered in the trunk of a Tesla registered to the artist.

Prosecutors allege he sexually abused the teenager for over a year before killing her to protect his career and silence her threats to expose the relationship.

Industry Blackout, a collective focused on reforming systemic inequities in music, launched a petition calling on streaming platforms to remove D4VD’s entire catalog from their services.

The petition has garnered 1,489 verified signatures and targets major decision-makers including California Governor Gavin Newsom.

According to the petition, the group argues that continuing to profit from an artist facing charges of this magnitude sends the wrong message about accountability in the industry.

The label response has already begun moving in that direction. Interscope Records quietly dropped D4VD last year, and Universal Music Group has been helping collaborating artists remove their tracks with him from streaming platforms.

Artists including Kali Uchis, Holly Humberstone, and others have pulled their joint projects, signaling that the industry is taking action without waiting for legal proceedings to conclude.

What makes this case particularly significant is how it exposes the gap between corporate values statements and actual business practices.

The music industry has long struggled with accountability, and this situation forces streaming platforms to decide whether they’ll continue generating revenue from an artist facing such serious allegations.

D4VD has pleaded not guilty to all charges, and the legal process will proceed, but the industry’s response suggests that waiting for a verdict isn’t the standard anymore.

The petition emphasizes that this isn’t about rushing judgment but about drawing a clear line on what the industry will tolerate.

Texas bartender works VIP at Formula 1 Lenovo party. Then she realizes there’s no tip jar: ‘It was not professional’

A woman raised concerns about working conditions after posting a TikTok about a three-day bartending job in Austin, Texas, for the Lenovo suite at Formula 1, where everything seemed to go wrong.

On April 16, bartender @boosboozemobilebar posted a TikTok about the chaotic conditions of working a Formula 1 event. “When I got on the phone with the lady about working this event, I should have known to never take this job,” says the bartender.

What Made This Bartending Job So Chaotic?

She says the first red flags came during the interview process. Allegedly, the woman interviewing her asked questions like her race, whether she was “pretty,” and if she could send a photo. “I knew I shouldn’t have taken this job, but I really wanted this on my resume, and I thought it would open up doors for me,” she says. “It didn’t.”

She says that the lack of organization was clear from the start. She initially had trouble figuring out where she was supposed to be once she arrived at the event site. “It took me over an hour to figure out where I was supposed to be,” she says.

She adds that once she arrives at her station, nobody is there. “Not a soul for at least 15 minutes,” she says.

She learns that she is working with two other bartenders, even though she had thought she’d be bartending alone. Once they get working, she realizes one of her fellow bartenders does not know many fundamentals of the job. She claims her coworker asked her what was in a margarita and how to make it.

What Were The Alleged Working Conditions?

She also adds that her hours were all day long, lasting from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. for three days in a row, with no time for anything else. “They told us when we clean up, we get to go to the concert afterwards for free,” she says. “We never got to go to a concert. We were stuck there, just cleaning, just scraping floors basically.”

She adds that in the midst of the busy days, few meals were provided. “I was fed one meal that entire time,” she adds. “One meal for each day, and we got to sit outside on the grass in the heat.”

Among her issues with the event was the lack of consistency and professionalism. “I get told to wear slacks, a black long-sleeve button-up shirt, and to look nice,” she says. “So many people showed up in just tank tops. It was not professional. Nobody looked professional.”

An additional experience with unprofessionalism came with a co-worker who showed up near the end of the last day. The TikToker said the woman was consistently speaking inappropriately and accused the woman of stealing from her. “She tried to accuse me of taking money from her,” she says.

The bartender says that when she realized there was no tip jar, she was told not to mention gratuity. She claims she was told she would receive her gratuity after the event. A month later, she still had not received any form of payment, she says. She adds that she finally got paid when she was in Mexico, a month after the event, and only received $800 for the event and $300 in gratuity.

How Does This Story Reflect Working Conditions for Large-Scale Events?

Stories like this point to broader, well-documented issues in the event-based service industry, where workers often fall into a gray zone between freelance and traditional employment.

According to research from organizations’ investigations by groups such as the National Employment Law Project, hospitality and event workers are disproportionately affected by inconsistent scheduling, wage disputes, and a lack of basic protections like guaranteed breaks or overtime enforcement.

Large-scale events like Formula 1 frequently rely on subcontracting layers. This can obscure accountability when things go wrong. Investigations have found that temporary event staff are more likely to experience delayed pay, unclear tipping structures, and misclassification as independent contractors, limiting their ability to seek recourse.

AllHipHop reached out to @boosboozemobilebar via TikTok direct message and the TikTok comment section, and Formula 1 and Lenovo via email. We will update this story if any party responds.

Klay Thompson Gets Dragged For Allegedly Cheating On Megan Thee Stallion

Megan Thee Stallion didn’t hold back when she decided to air out exactly what went wrong with her relationship with Klay Thompson, and the internet immediately took her side with a vengeance.

The breakup announcement hit different because Megan Thee Stallion didn’t just say it was over; she explained why, and people are still processing how a man could fumble a woman like that.

She posted to her Instagram Stories on Saturday, laying out the whole situation.

“Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house…got ‘cold feet,'” she wrote, then continued with the real frustration. “Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’???? b#### I need a REAL break after this one .. bye yall.”

The way she said it had people immediately questioning how Thompson could mess this up. When she followed up with an official statement, according to TMZ, the message was clear and direct.

“I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” she said through her rep. “Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”

That statement hit harder than any Instagram rant could. The reactions started flooding in immediately, and people were not sympathetic to Thompson’s position.

One person pointed out the obvious: “Klay had a sexy, talented, caring woman that cooked for him and his family liked and he still cheated.”

Another user couldn’t believe the situation, asking, “Klay Thompson looked like that and cheated on Meg?????”

The disbelief was real because from the outside, their relationship seemed solid.

They’d been together less than a year, soft-launching their relationship in July 2025 before making their red carpet debut at her Pete and Thomas Foundation Gala in New York.

His father, Mychal Thompson, had even praised her cooking, and she was courtside supporting him during the season. But behind closed doors, things were apparently falling apart, especially as the Dallas Mavericks struggled through a rough season.

Some people were even harsher in their assessments.

“Klay Thompson must be gay or something bro can’t stick to one,” one commenter wrote, while another took a different angle entirely.

“I never liked Klay Thompson’s funny looking nose so not surprised by his actions,” they added.

The criticism ranged from his choices to his appearance, but the core message stayed the same: he messed up.

What makes this different from typical celebrity breakups is that Megan didn’t just leave quietly; she explained exactly what happened and why she wasn’t accepting it anymore.

She set a boundary and stuck to it, which is why people are rallying behind her so hard. Thompson’s silence since the announcement has only made things worse for his image.

‘It was a male shopper’: Woman orders Cocokind Milk from Target. Then she sees what her shopper packed instead

A woman places a delivery order from Target that includes a Cocokind Milk face cleanser. When the order arrives, she realizes the man who did her shopping made an absurd—but also somehow understandable—substitution.

TikTok creator Sam (@samantiks17) posted a video with the comical grocery order delivery story on April 6.

“I placed a Target delivery order and got a text this morning saying my Cocokind Ceramide Milk Face & Body Cleanser wasn’t available. So I said no problem. I got my delivery this morning, and I’m going through the bags, and this is what I got instead. I looked. It was a man who did my shopping. I got milk, I guess,” she says, holding a gallon of milk.

In the caption, Sam wrote, “Target delivery is bomb. Not quite what I was expecting, but it’s the thought that counts.”

Viewers React to the Woman’s Cocokind Target Delivery Mix-Up

In the comments section of the video, viewers reacted to the idea of real milk as a substitute for Cocokind Ceramide Milk Face & Body Cleanser.

“I ordered string cheese one time,” said one viewer. “It was substituted with Cheeto puffs.”

A second person said, “I hope you drink milk. This is why I always put ‘no substitutions’ in all my orders.”

“I placed an order from Target this week and they said the only milk in the entire store was soy milk,” a third viewer wrote. “And then they were out of the ice cream I wanted, so [the shopper] sent me a picture and the one I wanted was right in the middle.”

Someone else said, “I got a bag of frozen peppers and onions as a substitute for fresh pico de gallo from the deli section.”

How Substitutions Work at Target

According to Target, the Shipt shopper doing the shopping or delivery orders can choose replacement items when items on the list are out of stock. Customers can add specific substitutions for certain items ahead of time or adjust their preferences during checkout.

Those preferences include having the shopper text if something is out of stock before making the substitution selection, choosing on their own, and forgoing substitutions altogether.

Of course, this system can result in issues, as we saw in Sam’s video. Back in 2023, a woman went viral after receiving two kitchen blenders instead of the cosmetic sponges she ordered. Of course, that more than doubled her grocery bill.

Someone asked about how the process works on the shopper’s end in a Shipt shopper community group on Facebook last year. One person said the app will generate the customer’s preselected substitution once the shopper clicks “not found” on the item. “If they don’t put a preference,” the person wrote, “I just send a picture of what they do have as a suggestion/substitute.”

Male Shoppers Have a Habit of Making Poor Substitutions

And Sam is far from the first person to notice an issue with men carrying out delivery orders. One person posted a thread to Reddit’s r/GenXWomen to “rant” about men doing grocery shopping on apps. “It’s so annoying,” the person wrote. “I’m baffled by the consistent incompetence.”

Someone in the comments said, “I schedule weekday early morning deliveries now. Ninety percent chance of a mom working while her kids are in school and it’s always perfect. They have the expertise! The guys bring rotten tomatoes and steal snacks, lol.”

Another person posited, “I read a story in The Atlantic recently about how some huge proportion of American grocery purchases are now snack foods. Some single people with no kids eat a diet consisting almost entirely of a combination of snack foods, prepared foods, easy-prep packaged convenience foods and fast food because the time and effort of all the shop, prep, cook, and cleanup required for ‘real’ cooking … for themselves doesn’t feel worthwhile.”

They continued, “It’s possible that these guys just don’t eat the way that you do, so they don’t normally even go to certain aisles in the store. Also it is very possible that girlfriend/wife/mom does all the grocery shopping at their house.”

AllHipHop contacted Sam via TikTok comment and direct message for comment. We also contacted Target via email for comment. We will update this story if either party responds.

‘Houston really don’t sleep’: Woman passes by Pinkhouse at 7am. Then she realizes people are still going

Looking for a party city? Houston may be the place you’re looking for. The city has a vibrant nightlife with things to do until even as late as 7 a.m., as one Houston club video demonstrates. “Houston really don’t sleep,” @juicerenee captions a recent video.

In the video, people are seen standing outside The Pinkhouse, a club in Houston, at what appears to be sunrise. People are scattered outside saying goodbyes and overall just hanging out. “7am at Houston pink house people just casually chilling,” says the video’s text overlay. The video has over 85,000 views and 1,400 likes.

Viewers Weigh In on Morning Scene Outside Houston Pinkhouse

Some folks in the comments section are surprised, others not so much.

“How can ppl party this long?” says one comment.

“They going to the after after hours. There’s one that closes at 2pm,” another mentions.

“I drive past this place every morning on my way to work and see the cars on the street,” a different person says.

“GOOD MORNIN, ITS BREAKFAST, LOST TRACK OF TIME BUT…….YALL HAD A BAWLLL,” someone else says.

“Go to sleep.. yall trippin,” another advises.

Houston Nightlife

Despite some people’s journey watching the sunrise the morning after the club, Houston actually has a pretty early curfew. Bars are not allowed to sell alcohol past 2 a.m. This is due to the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission’s ban on alcohol past certain hours. In fact, some cities in Texas have an even earlier curfew and are not allowed to sell alcohol past midnight.

However, Houston’s alcohol curfew has allowed for the creation of a booming after-hours party culture. Several clubs, such as Pinkhouse, promote their venues as a BYOB party space after 2 a.m. According to comments on @juicerenee’s video and the club’s Google page, Pinkhouse closes at 6 a.m., creating a large window of opportunity for folks who don’t want to go home once last call is announced at local bars.

While most of Houston’s bars close earlier than those in several other cities in the country, these limitations have given rise to creative after-party venues where the party blends into breakfast time.

White House Correspondents Dinner Shot Up, President Trump Evacuated

Hundreds of guests hit the floor at the White House correspondents dinner Saturday night when gunfire erupted inside the hotel ballroom, sending the entire event attended by President Donald Trump into complete chaos.

The Secret Service moved fast, evacuating President Trump and Vice President JD Vance from the scene as attendees scrambled for cover under tables and rushed toward exits.

“Quite an evening in D.C. Secret Service and Law Enforcement did a fantastic job. They acted quickly and bravely. The shooter has been apprehended, and I have recommended that we ‘LET THE SHOW GO ON’ but, will entirely be guided by Law Enforcement. They will make a decision shortly. Regardless of that decision, the evening will be much different than planned, and we’ll just, plain, have to do it again,” Donald Trump said.

CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer was in the bathroom when the shots rang out and encountered the shooter in the hallway.

He described seeing someone open fire with what he called a “large weapon,” and the panic spread instantly through the ballroom.

Security personnel flooded the space, yelling commands as hundreds of people ducked and sought shelter, their formal attire and black-tie composure abandoned in seconds.

The initial reports said the shooter was killed in the lobby, but CNN later corrected that, reporting the suspect was actually taken into custody.

No injuries were reported from the incident, and both Trump and Vance escaped unharmed, according to sources.

The entire scene transformed from a celebration of the press to a full-scale security emergency in moments.

Attendees remained in the ballroom as authorities secured the area and investigated what happened.

The dinner, which was supposed to be a night of speeches, awards, and roasting, became a reminder of how quickly things can shift.

The White House correspondents dinner has been a tradition for over a century, bringing together journalists, politicians, and celebrities for an evening that’s typically filled with humor and camaraderie.

This year’s event was already controversial because Trump was making his first appearance as president, but nobody expected the night to end this way.

Investigators were working to determine exactly what led to the shooting and how the suspect managed to get inside the hotel with a weapon.

Trick Daddy Says Michael Jackson Ain’t No Singer Like Luther

Trick Daddy just can’t help himself when it comes to throwing shade at vocal abilities, and this time he’s dragging both Beyoncé and Michael Jackson into the conversation while the King of Pop’s biopic is absolutely dominating the box office.

During a recent appearance on his web cooking series with GRAMMY-winning vocalist Monica, the 51-year-old Miami legend doubled down on his long-standing belief that Beyoncé simply doesn’t have the chops to be considered a true singer, telling Monica that while Bey’s “not terrible,” she’s just “not what I’m used to” when it comes to vocal performance.

Trick acknowledged Beyoncé as “an exciting performer” but refused to budge from his core argument that her singing ability doesn’t meet his standards.

Monica, for her part, defended his right to hold that opinion while also giving props to the Beyhive for showing up to protect their queen.

But here’s where it gets really interesting. To make his point stick, Trick invoked Michael Jackson himself, claiming that MJ is his favorite artist of all time but insisting that even the King of Pop “ain’t no singer” in the traditional sense.

“I think he is Jesus Christ to what Pop and R&B is, but he ain’t no Luther,” Trick said, referencing Luther Vandross as the gold standard for actual singing ability.

This commentary arrives at a particularly loaded moment, as the new Michael Jackson biopic is setting records at the box office with a massive worldwide opening that’s eyeing over $100 million in its debut weekend.

While audiences worldwide are celebrating Jackson’s legacy through cinema, Trick essentially argues that MJ’s genius lay everywhere except in his voice.

It’s a take that’ll definitely get people talking, especially considering how the Michael Jackson movie has already sparked conversations about his artistry and cultural impact.

Company Breaks Down How They Built Drake’s 3,500-Block Ice Monument

Iceculture Inc., the family business behind Drake’s promo stunt for ICEMAN, revealed the incredible logistics behind his massive ice block installation that took over downtown Toronto this week.

The Hensall, Ontario-based company manufactured over 3,500 individual ice blocks, each weighing approximately 300 pounds, which were transported on 20 trucks to create the 25-foot structure that displayed the release date of his ninth studio album.

Heidi Bayley, president of the family-run operation her father started back in 1991, explained that the crystal-clear ice required a specialized directional freezing process that pushes air out during production, making the blocks incredibly hard and visually stunning.

The installation attracted massive crowds to 81 Bond Street in downtown Toronto on April 20, with fans using unconventional methods to discover what was hidden inside.

Some showed up with pickaxes, sledgehammers, and blowtorches, while others started fires directly on top of the structure in their desperation to find the album’s release date.

The chaos escalated so quickly that the Toronto Police Service had to respond around 11:30 p.m. that first night to manage the dangerous situation and prevent injuries from falling ice chunks.

By Tuesday evening, Toronto Fire Chief Jim Jessop made the decision to intervene under the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, citing “dangerous and unsafe activities” and “an immediate threat to life” as his reasoning.

Fire crews arrived with aerial trucks and began spraying warm water on the blocks throughout the night and into Wednesday morning, according to CBC News.

The fire department’s early removal disappointed Bayley, who said it was “hard to watch it being melted” and that she’d “never seen anything like this before” in her decades working with ice installations.

An industrial cleaning company, Prime Mobile Wash, eventually took over the removal process after the fire crews finished their operations.

Michael Gingerich, owner of Mawg Design, the marketing firm that collaborated with Drake’s team on the project, acknowledged that the massive turnout exceeded their expectations.

He noted that while the intention was to make a bold statement for the album release, the scale of fan enthusiasm caught everyone off guard.

Bayley emphasized that Iceculture’s reputation for handling large-scale projects and maintaining large quantities of ice made them the perfect partner for this high-profile activation.

The company has previously created ice lounges in Thailand and Greece, as well as a drivable ice truck for Canadian Tire to promote cold-weather batteries, using tools such as chainsaws, chisels, CNC machines, and bandsaws.

A streamer named Kishka discovered a blue folder hidden inside one of the ice blocks on Tuesday afternoon, revealing that Drake’s Iceman album is scheduled to drop on May 15, 2026, marking his first solo project since 2023’s For All the Dogs.

Drake confirmed the date on his Instagram that same evening.

The ICEMAN Cometh: Drake’s May 15 Release Is Already Reshaping The Merch Game

When Drake planted a million-dollar ice sculpture in downtown Toronto and let his fans chip at it for a release date, most of the hip-hop internet clocked it as pure spectacle. Another Drake stunt. Another OVO production budget flex. But while everyone’s been watching kids hammer at frozen Kishka with car keys and hockey sticks, the real story has been playing out quietly in the background: ICEMAN dropped a confirmed release date, a five-piece merch capsule, and a commercial rollout that’s about to print money across every secondary market on the internet.

Mark it down: May 15, 2026. That’s when Drake’s next full-length studio project, ICEMAN, hits streaming. And for everyone still catching up, the frozen rollout isn’t just a promo gimmick — it’s the most coordinated pre-release merch strategy Drake’s camp has ever run.

The Release Date Is Officially May 15

Let’s get the facts on the table. ICEMAN releases May 15, 2026, at midnight ET — which translates to 9pm Pacific on the 14th if you’re stateside on the west coast, or 5am BST for the UK listeners who are about to have the worst Friday morning commute of their lives (in the best way).

The date was confirmed through Drake’s own channels after the now-infamous Toronto ice sculpture reveal, where the release info was literally locked inside a block of ice that fans were chipping at for days. It’s a move that checks every box on the modern album-rollout playbook: physical activation, shareable UGC, cryptic countdown energy, and enough plausible deniability to let the mainstream media over-index on the “is Drake serious?” question while the real fans already know.

This also lines up with Drake’s historical Friday-release cadence — Scorpion, Certified Lover Boy, Honestly Nevermind, and For All The Dogs all dropped on Fridays. Consistent. Deliberate. Iceman-coded, even.

Remember The Ice Block?

AllHipHop’s own illseed already broke down the chaos of the Toronto ice sculpture reveal in his piece “Drake’s Iceman Rollout Is Getting Out of Control… In a Good Way?” — and he wasn’t wrong. Fans treating the sculpture like a piñata. Videos of kids lugging space heaters to the site at 2am. TikTok duets of every single chip-away attempt.

But here’s the part illseed hinted at and I want to expand on: the sculpture wasn’t the rollout. It was the bait for the rollout. The actual product — the music, the merch, the tour — was already cued up to drop when the hype peaked. That’s the 4D chess move that separates Drake’s camp from 99% of rappers running pre-release campaigns in 2026. They didn’t confuse the distraction with the destination.

Freeze The World: The Pre-Release Capsule Nobody Saw Coming

Tied to the ICEMAN rollout, Drake’s merch team launched a capsule titled Freeze The World — and unlike most pre-album merch drops which are usually rushed, overpriced, and underdesigned, this one is disciplined. Five items, all tied to the Iceman visual world:

  • A black graphic tee featuring the Iceman figure cast in cracked-ice type
  • A white graphic tee carrying the “Freeze The World” mantra
  • A heavyweight hoodie (reportedly 400gsm) with an embroidered Kishka patch
  • A structured cap with low-profile OVO-aligned branding
  • A cuffed beanie that’s already become the unofficial “I was here early” flex piece

Independent archives tracking the rollout in real-time — including Iceman Merch, which has been inventorying each drop as it lands — are reporting that the black hoodie sold through its first restock within 72 hours. The white tee moved even faster. If you’re seeing this post and thinking about pulling the trigger on a piece, you’re already behind the curve on the secondary market pricing.

The whole capsule philosophy is a departure from the usual artist-merch formula of “drop 30 SKUs and pray.” Five items means scarcity. Scarcity means collector behavior. Collector behavior means resale premiums that historically run 3-5x retail once the album drops and the tour gets announced. Anyone who caught the Certified Lover Boy secondary market wave already knows how this movie ends.

Tracklist Speculation: What We Think We Know

The official tracklist hasn’t been released, but the breadcrumbs are everywhere. Based on BMI/ASCAP registrations, leaked session chatter, and the handful of tracks Drake has previewed at OVO Fest and select features over the last 18 months, these are the strong rumors:

  • “Freeze The World” — the presumed title track and lead single
  • “What Did I Miss” — previewed live at OVO Fest 2025
  • “Last Summer” — production reportedly from Noah “40” Shebib
  • “Blue Iceman” — surfaced on an unverified leaked screenshot in early April
  • “Kishka” — directly referenced by the ice-block reveal’s Slavic imagery

Feature speculation runs heavy around 21 Savage (obvious continuation of the Her Loss chemistry), PartyNextDoor (recent joint festival appearances), and possibly SZA or The Weeknd — the latter reconciliation would be the kind of cultural event that moves pre-saves by eight figures overnight.

Why This Rollout Is Hitting Different

Most rappers treat pre-album rollouts as obligation marketing. Drop a teaser clip. Post a tracklist snippet. Sell some merch after the fact. Drake’s ICEMAN campaign has inverted the whole model: the merch came first, the spectacle came second, the release date came third, and the album closes the loop. Every phase is designed to generate owned content (sculpture footage, unboxing videos, chip-attempt reactions) that feeds the next phase.

It’s also a reminder that Drake, love him or hate him, still runs the commercial strategy better than anyone in his generation. The guy figured out a decade ago that attention was the currency, and every rollout since Views has been an evolution of that thesis. ICEMAN might be the clearest expression of it yet.

What Happens After May 15

Expect the following in the days and weeks after drop:

  • Music videos for 2-3 tracks within the first week, with “Freeze The World” locked in as the visual lead
  • A second merch wave — likely tour-adjacent — within 7-14 days
  • Tour dates announced within 30-45 days, almost certainly UK/EU first based on OVO’s venue partnerships and the merch line’s “Summer UK and EU Tour” graphic tees (which definitely exist if you know where to look)
  • Vinyl release 60-90 days post-drop, with colored variants that will instantly hit $150+ on Discogs

If you’re a Drake fan, ICEMAN is already shaping up to be the release that defines the second half of his discography. If you’re a merch collector, the clock is ticking on what’s left of the Freeze The World capsule before the secondary market eats the remaining inventory.

And if you’re an industry observer who still thinks Drake’s commercial instincts are slipping, maybe sit this one out. The Iceman, apparently, cometh.

Diddy Wants $100M Default Judgment Against Man Claiming He Had Freak-Off Tapes

Diddy is pushing hard for a court win he needs right now, filing for a default judgment against Courtney Burgess after the man failed to respond to a massive defamation lawsuit.

Burgess had claimed he possessed eleven flash drives containing sex tapes allegedly involving celebrities and minors at Diddy’s infamous “freak off” parties, but Burgess never showed up to defend himself in court.

Diddy’s legal team is now asking the judge to rule in his favor by default, which would hand him a victory without ever having to prove his case.

The situation stems from Burgess’s 2024 interview with NewsNation, where he claimed he received the flash drives from Kim Porter, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, who died in 2018.

Burgess alleged that two to three of the celebrities featured in the videos were minors and appeared to be under the influence.

Diddy initially sued Burgess for $50 million in January 2025 on defamation charges, then amended the complaint to seek $100 million just eight months later, claiming severe reputational harm from what he calls “outlandish claims.”

The timing of this legal move reveals how much Diddy needs a win.

Just days before filing for default judgment, a New York judge dismissed his $100 million defamation lawsuit against NBC and Peacock over the documentary “Diddy: Making of a Bad Boy.”

That loss stung, especially as Diddy continues fighting his conviction on two counts of interstate transportation for prostitution, which landed him a four-year prison sentence in July 2025.

His legal team has been working overtime, arguing that his “freak off” parties were merely “choreographed performances” protected by the First Amendment, not criminal activity.

Diddy is currently incarcerated and scheduled for release on April 15, 2028, though his lawyers have been pushing for immediate acquittal or at a minimum a reduced sentence.

The default judgment against Burgess represents one of the few legal opportunities where Diddy might actually get the outcome he’s seeking, even if it doesn’t address his underlying criminal conviction or help him leave prison any sooner.

Megan Thee Stallion Dumps Cheatin’ Klay Thompson Over Infidelity

Megan Thee Stallion just ended one of hip-hop’s most talked-about relationships, and the reason hits different when you hear it straight from her.

The rapper confirmed to TMZ that she dumped Klay Thompson, citing infidelity and broken trust as the dealbreaker.

What started as a fairy-tale romance between one of music’s biggest stars and an NBA champion has crumbled in less than a year, leaving fans shocked at how fast things fell apart.

She didn’t hold back in her official statement, saying “Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward.”

But before the formal announcement, Megan took to Instagram Stories to air out exactly what went down.

She accused Thompson of cheating and called him out for his behavior during basketball season, writing “Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season now you don’t know if you can be monogamous.”

The couple seemed untouchable just months ago.

They confirmed their relationship last July 2025 after Klay appeared in the background of her poolside photos, and made their red carpet debut at her Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City on July 16 and things moved fast from there.

By February 2026, Klay bought her a blue Bentley for her 31st birthday, and his father Mychal Thompson publicly praised her cooking skills.

She was even manifesting an engagement just weeks before the split.

The relationship had all the makings of a power couple narrative.

Megan told People in February that she’d never been more comfortable in a relationship, saying

“This is one of the first times that I’ve ever been just overly comfortable. I’m comfy, babe.”

She was posting workout videos with him, cooking his favorite meals, and supporting him courtside at Mavericks games. His boat was even named “SS Stallion” in her honor.

Yet behind the Instagram posts and public appearances, the relationship was cracking.

Klay hasn’t responded publicly yet, but the silence speaks volumes.

Megan’s taking time to prioritize herself and move forward with clarity, which is exactly what she needs after investing so much into a relationship that turned out to be built on lies.

The most popular romance in hip-hop right now just became a cautionary tale about trust.

D4vd Defense Lawyers Face Violent Antisemitic Death Threats Over Case

D4vd is facing a legal nightmare that’s extending far beyond the courtroom and his client.

His defense team is being flooded with vile antisemitic hate mail as they work to represent him in his ongoing murder case, and the messages are absolutely reprehensible.

The lawyers defending the singer are receiving emails filled with explicit threats and hateful language targeting them specifically for being Jewish, according to reporting from the New York Post.

One particularly disturbing message read, “I’m not surprised you are all JEWS. The only race that puts money above all morals.”

The email went further, wishing violence on the attorneys’ families and expressing that “the world deserves less JEWS.”

This isn’t just one angry person either. The defense team has been inundated with multiple messages of this nature, all targeting them for their faith while they perform their constitutional duty to provide legal representation.

D4vd, whose real name is David Burke, stands accused of murdering 14-year-old Celeste Rivas, who prosecutors say he killed after she threatened to expose their alleged relationship and jeopardize his music career.

The charges against him include murder, continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, and unlawful mutilation of human remains. Authorities allege he killed her with a sharp instrument, then dismembered her body and stored her remains in bags inside the trunk of his Tesla for months.

The harassment of his legal team raises serious questions about how far some people will go to express their anger about a case.

Attorney Blair Berk and her colleagues are simply doing their jobs, yet they’re being targeted with antisemitic abuse for defending someone accused of heinous crimes.

This kind of harassment against defense attorneys is not only morally wrong but also undermines the entire justice system, which depends on everyone having access to legal representation regardless of the charges they face.

D4vd has pleaded not guilty to all charges, and according to the LA Times, prosecutors have amassed “40 terabytes” of evidence in the case.

The defense team’s statement made clear they believe the evidence will show Burke’s innocence, but that doesn’t stop the hate mail from coming.

His legal team is now dealing with both the pressure of a high-profile murder case and the added burden of antisemitic threats simply for doing their job.

Boosie’s Post-Vlad Era Hits Cringe Breaking Point

What the hell did Boosie Badazz just say?

As you already know, DJ Vlad and Boosie have officially gone their separate ways. And honestly, it already feels like one of those splits where both sides are trying to prove a point… while quietly missing what they had.

Boosie believes he can move without the VladTV machine, and Vlad seems just as confident that the platform is bigger than any one personality. The truth probably sits somewhere in the middle. They built something together that worked. Period.

Let’s not forget, Vlad was cutting Boosie serious checks just to sit down and talk. That’s rare air. Few people get paid like that for conversation alone. It was a system that benefited both sides, even if it came with controversy attached.

Now Boosie’s out here building his own content ecosystem… and it’s rough.

There’s no delicate way to say it. The latest clip floating around has him joking about SA in a way that feels off from the jump. You can actually see the moment where he realizes he might’ve crossed a line, but instead of clarifying or pivoting, it just kind of… lingers. That’s where things go left.

Then comes the reference that had people raising eyebrows, the kind of comment that instantly brings up comparisons to Bill Cosby and everything that name now carries. Whether that was intentional or just reckless delivery, it didn’t land right.

And this is where the bigger question kicks in: does this kind of content actually work today?

In the attention economy, the uncomfortable answer is… sometimes, yes. Shock travels fast. Controversy converts. But there’s a difference between viral and valuable, and right now Boosie seems to be leaning heavy on the former without a clear long-term play.

The Patreon move is interesting though. That’s strategic. By pushing audiences to Patreon instead of relying solely on YouTube, he’s betting on direct-to-fan monetization where the rules are looser and the payout can be more immediate. Meanwhile, Vlad is still holding court on YouTube, where scale is king but the guidelines are tighter.

So yeah, you can already see the possible endgame: Boosie tries to run both lanes, independence and platform leverage, and double-dip if the opportunity presents itself.

But this current rollout? It’s not it.

There’s a difference between raw and reckless. Between edgy and unnecessary. And right now, it feels like something got uploaded that should’ve stayed in the drafts.

This isn’t about canceling anybody. It’s about quality control. Because if the goal is ownership and longevity, the content has to match that vision.

Right now, it doesn’t.

Big30 Tells Judge His Record Deal Proves He’ll Stay Put To Face Gucci Mane Kidnapping Charges

Big30’s fight to get out of federal custody is shaping up to be one of the most interesting legal showdowns in recent music industry history.

The Memphis rapper submitted a court filing on Friday (April 24) arguing that prosecutors have unfairly painted him as a central figure in the alleged Gucci Mane robbery and kidnapping case, when his actual role was far more limited than they’re claiming.

His legal team is pushing back hard against the government’s attempt to keep him locked up while the case moves forward.

Big30, whose real name is Rodney Wright Jr., was initially granted a $100,000 bond by a Tennessee judge on April 6, but federal prosecutors immediately appealed that decision and got it stayed.

Now he’s sitting in a Dallas jail while a Texas federal judge decides whether he should be released on bond with conditions or remain behind bars.

The core issue here is whether Big30 actually poses a flight risk or a danger to the community, and his lawyers are making a compelling case that he doesn’t.

In their filing, Big30’s attorneys argued that it remains unclear whether he was even armed during the January studio incident where Gucci Mane was allegedly held at gunpoint and forced to sign paperwork releasing Pooh Shiesty from his record deal.

The filing states that “Mr. Wright is not charged with being Pooh Shiesty’s equal in this alleged enterprise; he is charged as a participant.”

His lawyers point out that the actions prosecutors can actually prove he took, like retrieving Pooh Shiesty’s bag and filming Gucci signing the paperwork, don’t demonstrate that he orchestrated or escalated the situation.

The prosecution’s main argument for keeping Big30 locked up has been that his pending seven-figure record deal gives him a financial incentive to flee before trial.

But Big30’s legal team dismantled that logic in their response, writing that “the deal has not fallen apart” and that “his professional obligations provide a continuous and independent financial incentive to comply with conditions of release and to appear for court.”

They also highlighted that the rapper has no prior felony convictions, has lived in Memphis his entire life, has four kids there, and would be subject to home detention, GPS monitoring, and travel restrictions if released.

Pooh Shiesty’s father, Lontrell Williams Sr., is in a nearly identical situation, having been granted a $250,000 bond before prosecutors appealed and got it stayed.

Both men are now waiting for the same Texas judge to make a final call on whether they should walk free pending trial or remain incarcerated.

The stakes couldn’t be higher for everyone involved. Pooh Shiesty, his father, Big30, and the six other defendants accused in the case could face up to life in prison if convicted of the kidnapping and robbery charges.

The prosecution alleges that the group lured Gucci Mane and others to a Dallas studio under the pretense of a business meeting before carrying out the armed takeover.

7 Camping Photo Tips That Instantly Improve Your Shots

Camping trips are full of moments that feel unforgettable in real life – but somehow end up looking flat, dark, or just unimpressive in photos. You get home, scroll through your camera roll, and realize the view didn’t translate the way you expected.

The problem usually isn’t your phone or camera. It’s a mix of lighting, composition, and small details most people overlook in the moment.

The good news: you don’t need expensive gear or editing skills to fix it. A few simple adjustments can dramatically improve your photos right where you are – at the campsite, on the trail, or by the fire.

Here are the first steps to start getting better results immediately.

1. Use Natural Light to Your Advantage

Lighting makes or breaks outdoor photos. And in nature, you don’t control it—you work with it.

The best time to shoot is during golden hour:

  • early morning just after sunrise
  • evening right before sunset

During this time, light is softer, warmer, and adds depth to everything. Your campsite will instantly look more атмосферic without any editing.

Try to avoid shooting in the middle of the day when:

  • sunlight is harsh
  • shadows are strong
  • colors look washed out

If you have no choice, look for shaded areas (trees, rocks, tents) to soften the light.

2. Clean Up Your Frame

This is one of the fastest ways to improve a photo – and most people ignore it.

Before you take the shot, quickly check what’s in your frame:

  • random trash
  • scattered gear
  • food packaging
  • anything distracting

Even small clutter can ruin an otherwise great image.

It takes 10 seconds to move things out of the frame, but it can completely change how your photo looks.

If you notice something later, small distractions can still be fixed using editing tools or solutions like ai clothes remover, which help clean up visual elements. But it’s always better to fix it before you press the shutter.

3. Change Your Angle (Stop Shooting at Eye Level)

Most camping photos are taken from the same height—standing, phone in hand, quick shot. That’s exactly why they all look the same.

Instead:

  • get low to the ground for a more dramatic perspective
  • shoot from above for a cleaner overview
  • move slightly left or right to reframe the scene

You can also use foreground elements like:

  • a tent edge
  • a campfire
  • tree branches

This adds depth and makes the image feel more immersive instead of flat.

4. Focus on One Clear Subject

One of the most common mistakes in camping photos is trying to capture everything at once—the tent, the fire, the trees, the mountains, your friends. The result? A photo that feels cluttered and unfocused.

Instead, decide what your main subject is:

  • the tent at sunrise
  • a person by the campfire
  • the trail leading into the forest

Then build your shot around that.

A clear subject gives your image structure and makes it easier for viewers to understand what they’re looking at. If something doesn’t support that subject, it probably doesn’t need to be in the frame.

5. Use Leading Lines and Natural Framing

Nature already gives you composition tools – you just need to notice them.

Look for leading lines that guide the viewer’s eye:

  • hiking trails
  • rivers
  • fallen logs
  • shoreline edges

Position your shot so these lines lead toward your subject.

You can also use natural framing:

  • branches around the edges
  • tent openings
  • gaps between trees

This creates depth and makes your photo feel more intentional.

If small distractions still remain, they can be refined later using tools like clothoff ai, which allow for more controlled visual adjustments without changing the overall composition.

6. Capture Real Moments, Not Just Setups

The best camping photos usually aren’t staged.

Instead of asking people to pose, capture moments as they happen:

  • cooking over the fire
  • setting up a tent
  • laughing, relaxing, doing nothing

These shots feel more natural and tell a better story.

People connect more with authenticity than perfection. A slightly imperfect photo with real emotion will always beat a perfectly staged one.

If you want to enhance those moments afterward, subtle adjustments can be made using tools like undress ai, but the key is to start with something genuine.

Because no amount of editing can fake a moment that never happened.

7. Shoot in Different Lighting Conditions

Most people only take photos when the light feels ”safe” – usually during the day. But some of the best camping shots happen outside those conditions.

Try capturing:

  • early morning fog for a soft, moody look
  • midday light for strong contrast and bold shadows
  • campfire scenes at night for warmth and atmosphere

Night photography, especially, is underrated. A simple shot of a glowing fire, a lit tent, or silhouettes against the sky can create a much stronger mood than a standard daytime photo.

You don’t need perfect conditions – you need variety. The more you experiment with different lighting, the more unique your photos will look.

Better camping photos don’t come from better gear. They come from paying attention to small details – light, composition, timing, and what you choose to include (or leave out).

Most of these tips take seconds to apply, but the difference in your results is immediate.

And while tools and editing can help refine your images, they should never replace the experience itself. Camping isn’t about creating perfect photos – it’s about being out there. The photos just help you remember it.

Get the basics right, keep things natural, and your shots will start looking better without overthinking it.

AMILLION Drops His Most Personal Project With “The One” Album & Book

AMILLION just dropped a project that’s way bigger than just another album and book release.

The One is a dual statement that merges music, poetry and personal testimony into something that actually means something, and it’s hitting different because he’s not playing the usual game.

The One is dropping at a moment when Hip-Hop needs more artists willing to be vulnerable and intentional about their message, and AMILLION is delivering exactly that.

This isn’t some corporate rollout with a bunch of features and production credits designed to go viral. This is a man putting his whole life on wax and on pages, and the work speaks for itself.

The album itself is seven tracks of inspirational Hip-Hop that doesn’t feel preachy or forced, while the companion poetry book serves as what AMILLION describes as “the space between pain and purpose.”

He’s been building this reputation for years as someone who moves between music and literature without losing authenticity, and The One is the fullest expression of that vision yet.

The project explores purpose, perseverance and the journey from survival to success, which sounds like a lot until you actually hear how personal it gets.

What makes this move even more significant is the context around it.

AMILLION is also the CEO of 1NA Alkaline Water, the first Black-owned alkaline water brand to hit national grocery chains like ALDI, which means he’s not just talking about building something from nothing. He’s actually doing it.

In 2025, he was honored as International Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, and his hometown of Dover, Delaware, gave him a Key to the City and officially proclaimed 1NA Day. Mayor Robin Christiansen recognized his impact through music, entrepreneurship and philanthropy, which is the kind of recognition that actually matters.

The album is available now on all major streaming platforms, and you can pre-order the poetry book at www.The1Book.net.

AMILLION’s also has a Books-A-Million Meet & Greet coming up, with additional Hip-Hop tour dates to be announced.

His daughter Aaliyah Adams-Mayfield continues to inspire much of his work, and that foundation shows in everything he creates.

According to reports, the project has already been spinning on radio stations across the country, with DJs and platforms recognizing the depth of his work.
