The Weeknd Eyes Starring Role In “The Simpsons”

(AllHipHop News) R&B star The Weeknd has set his sights on landing a “dream” cameo in “The Simpson” after poking fun at himself on the animated TV hit “American Dad.”

The “Can’t Feel My Face” hitmaker made his debut on the latest episode of Seth MacFarlane’s longrunning series, in which the cartoon version of The Weeknd confessed that despite his sexual boasts in his music, he is actually a virgin.

He also premiered a new song, appropriately titled “I’m A Virgin,” written for American Dad, which aired in the U.S. on Monday.

“I always wanted to play a character that was the opposite of the public’s perception of me – and of course make fun of myself,” the musician told Variety.

“Once I was given the opportunity I took complete advantage. (Writer/producer) Joel Hurwitz believed in the vision and he helped execute it beautifully.”

Hurwitz also helped The Weeknd connect with “Robot Chicken” co-creator Seth Green to record another upcoming animated cameo.

“I want to continue to create different Weeknds in alternate universes,” he explained. “I told (Hurwitz) I loved doing voices and wished I could have challenged myself more in that department, so he took me to the Robot Chicken studio, where Seth Green was waiting for me. I totally geeked out and he actually let me do multiple voices on an episode coming out soon. The cartoon nerd in me jumped out that day.”

Now The Weeknd is eager to land a guest appearance on another iconic animated series: “It’s going to be hard to beat (American Dad) in the TV cartoon world, but an obvious bucket list would be to work on The Simpsons,” he gushed.

Appealing to creator Matt Groening and his fellow producers, the singer added, “That would be a dream – and if they’re reading this, I actually have a pretty cool idea if they’re down.”

The Simpsons officials have yet to respond to The Weeknd’s public proposal.

Have The BMF Founders Gotten Released? Yes And No.

(AllHipHop Rumors) The BMF era was a very interesting one that I remember being fascinated with. The crew took over the rap game and the drug game for a moment in time. All of it centered on two brothers: Meech and Terry Flenory.

The brothers ran a drug and rap empire that struck fear in the hearts of men and also gave us Young Jeezy (sort of). Guess what? There was chatter earlier in the week that they were about to get out, because coronavirus has been ravaging communities in jail.

Here is the deal: Terry has been granted a release, but Big Meech has not. Terry Flenory is now 50! And Big Meech is 51! I always thought Meech was younger, because he was more flashy and fly. Now, Terry was the one that resided in LA and looked over the business from that point of view. He’s leaving a Kentucky federal prison and we live on house arrest now. Big Meech reigned over Atlanta, but is not going home. I think they see him as a bigger “issue” since he was more out there and percieved as a threat.

Did you know that LL tried helping get them out of jail with his influence?

They say The Black Mafia Family made $270 million in profits. Both men were sent away for 30 years in federal prison in 2008 after being arrested and convicted for running a national drug ring over the course of 15 years. COVID-19 has broken out in jails all over the nation and is killing people.

If Meech gets out, that will be crazy!

Here is a documentary. You kinda had to be there. AllHipHop is cited in the BMF book. Page 178.

DaBaby Wanted By Las Vegas Police

(AllHipHop News) An arrest warrant has been issued for rap newcomer DaBaby after he was accused of attacking a driver in Las Vegas last year.

The “Suge” hitmaker, real name Jonathan Kirk, was in Sin City with some friends back in November when they were picked up in a Mercedes Sprinter van.

During the ride, they reportedly lit up a marijuana joint, sparking an argument with the driver, who had to remind his passengers he had a strict no-smoking rule.

DaBaby and his pals allegedly began cursing at him and even hurled threats at him, and when they arrived at their destination at the Hard Rock Hotel, they refused to pay for the ride.

DaBaby then lashed out at the driver, punching him in the back of the head as he spat, “You ain’t the boss,” while members of the star’s entourage are also accused of making comments about having the man killed off.

The incident was reported to local police, who have now issued a warrant for DaBaby’s arrest on a count of misdemeanor battery.

Representatives for the rapper have yet to comment on the claims, but it’s not the first time he has hit headlines for violent behavior.

In January, DaBaby was arrested in Miami, Florida for reportedly beating up a concert promoter’s pal, although that charge was subsequently dropped due to a lack of cooperation from the alleged victim.

DaBaby was also accused of slapping a female fan at a concert in Tampa, Florida in early March, for which he is currently facing a civil suit.

Rico Nasty, Theophilus London & More To Judge Prospect 100’s Global Youth Music Competition

(AllHipHop News) The network of young creatives known as Prospect 100 has launched a global online talent contest to empower budding musicians during the COVID pandemic. All singers, producers, and instrumentalists age 21 and under are open to submit music pieces in any language or format.

Prospect 100’s three young, entrepreneurial co-founders spent the past few weeks cultivating a star-studded line up of judges and mentors. Judges for the contest include American rapper Rico Nasty, American singer Theophilus London, and Migos’ manager Danny Zook.

“My first event was established out of frustration at a lack of opportunity for young people,” says 18-year-old Prospect 100 co-founder Adam Flanagan. “Many young people, particularly students whose exams have been canceled, have found themselves without much focus during this period. We are hosting this competition to provide an outlet for their passion.”

Flanagan serves as the Head of Events for Prospect 100. Co-founder Harry Beard, 20, is the company’s Head of Operations. Co-founder Alexandre Daillance, 23, has the title of Prospect 100’s Chief Brand Officer.

“Generation Z pursues their passions in a different way to any previous generation,” Beard explains. “Platforms like YouTube mean that if we are passionate about a field we can pursue it at little cost and to any level. We can even start to derive an income from it.”

Daillance adds, “I co-founded my fashion label when I was still in high school out of a passion for design. I couldn’t learn to design or how to run a company at school, so I mostly learned everything by myself after my homework. I wish I had the opportunity at the time to take part in a Prospect 100 competition and be part of that community of similarly passionate teenagers like myself.”

To enter the Prospect 100 Global Music Competition visit prospect100.com and follow @prospectonehundred on Instagram. Applications will close on June 26 at 10 pm ET. Each submission must be original work and will be judged according to its originality, sound, and performance.

Issa Rae Stars In D Smoke & SiR’s Cinematic “Lights On” Music Video

(AllHipHop News) It was a family affair for Daniel “D Smoke” Farris’s latest release. The Inglewood, California representative teamed with his real-life brother Sir “SiR” Farris for the “Lights On” music video.

D Smoke also booked Insecure creator/actress Issa Rae for a starring role in the Jack Begert-directed visuals. Veteran actor Danny Trejo (Desperado, Machete) and Roc Nation rapper G Perico made cameos as well.

“This video was important for us to shoot because it was an opportunity to showcase the duality of strip clubs from an under-told reality, rather than the common, sensationalized tropes,” says D Smoke. “We wanted to tell a story without bias, that simply shows a series of events, tied to an empowered woman, played by Issa Rae, who takes what she wants and is willing to face the consequences that result.”

He adds, “As creatives, we’re always a little excited to rattle the collective zeitgeist, and the beauty of having Issa Rae involved as our lead exotic dancer, we hope this video accomplishes just that. She’s a creative force who’s been disrupting the industry for nearly 10 years – and we’re ecstatic that she saw this as an opportunity to display her talent in a new light. It’s also an ode to LA’s homegrown talent coming together and supporting one another’s artistic endeavors.”

“Lights On” lives on D Smoke’s 2020 Woodworks Records/Empire project Black Habits. In 2019, he dropped Inglewood High after being crowned the winner of Netflix’s Hip Hop competition series Rhythm + Flow. T.I., Cardi B, and Chance The Rapper served as judges for the program.

Producer J. White Did It Talks Rumored 2017 Cardi B & Beyoncé Collaboration

(AllHipHop News) Anthony “J. White Did It” White is one of the hottest Hip Hop producers on the planet right now. He was the man behind the boards for Cardi B’s #1 hits “Bodak Yellow ” and “I Like It” as well as her 3x-Platinum single “Money” and 21 Savage’s “A Lot” featuring J. Cole.

In addition, J. White produced Megan Thee Stallion’s Top 10 smash “Savage.” Both Texas-born creators got a boost when global megastar/Houston native Beyoncé became a featured artist on the “Savage (Remix).”

It seems J. White nearly had a Beyoncé production credit three years ago. He spoke about how Cardi and Bey apparently worked on a collaboration in 2017, but it was scrapped due to unforeseen circumstances.

“I was just as giddy as everybody else. I was sitting there just waiting, looking on the internet then it leaked,” said J. White in an interview with RealLyfe Productions about the early unsanctioned release of “Savage (Remix).”

He continued, “I said, ‘Ah, man. This is gonna kill my Beyoncé play again.’ Three years ago, I was supposed to have a Beyoncé play with Cardi. That kinda went sour because it went viral that they were doing a song together and that cut out. This time the song leaked before the song came out.”

Doja Cat Discusses Nicki Minaj’s Controversial Verse On “Say So (Remix)”

(AllHipHop News) Rising entertainer Doja Cat got a major co-sign when Nicki Minaj hopped on the remix to her Top 10 hit “Say So.” The collaboration earned a lot of attention because some listeners believed Minaj was possibly taking shots at Beyoncé on the song.

“Why you talking ’bout who body fake? With all them fillers in your face. You just full of hate. That real ass ain’t keep your n*gga home,” rapped Nicki on the outro of “Say So (Remix).”

Those lines were suspected to be a response to Beyoncé’s bars on Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage (Remix)” which came out two days before “Say So (Remix).” On “Savage,” Bey, says, “If you wanna see some real ass, baby, here’s your chance.”

Doja was asked about Nicki’s “Say So (Remix)” verse during an interview with Nick Cannon on Power 106. According to the LA-based singer/rapper, she was not aware of what Minaj was going to spit on the record.

“I didn’t know. It wasn’t discussed before, so it was a surprise for me too, but she killed it as per usual,” answered Doja when asked if she knew what Nicki Minaj was going to say on the remix.

The Hot Pink album creator added, “People want to create a lore or a story or a fantasy over somebody’s lyrics at all times if they’re big enough and there is some sort of seemingly ‘competition’ to whatever’s happening. So it’s just for their entertainment and not so much the truth. It doesn’t need to be the truth.”

Usher Gives Back To Scholars Through A Virtual Summer Program

(AllHipHop News) If you go by the books, Usher Raymond IV has two children: Naviyd Ely Raymond & Usher Raymond V.

He also has one little brother named J. Lack.

According to basic googleable stats, and a creepy background check done for $9.69 off the internet, you would be tricked into believing those are the only young people in his family.

That would not be true.

The Confessions artist brings into his circle of influence hundreds of young people who at any time might consider him their big brother, uncle, and to some even their father-figure. Under his non-profit, Usher’s New Look, these young people gain access to incredible opportunities.

From shadowing label executives, learning business affairs from the top lawyers in the biz, fashion, sports management, copping coveted internships at the best entertainment enterprises or getting to go to the studio with chart-topping artists on charts, the young people that have come through this organization have made their mark — and then upon graduating giving back to those coming up behind them.

But with 2020 coronavirus pandemic ravishing the nation, young people are sheltering in and the extraordinary opportunities that they were looking forward to enjoying have come to an unfortunate yield.

The hearts of so many students were broken.

Sensitive to his extended family, those whose dreams he has poured his heart into and nurtured for over 20 years, Usher took to social media to send a special note of encouragement.

He opens with a funny greeting referencing the legendary Spike Lee film, “School Daze” – “Yo, what up! It’s your boy, Usher, big brother all mighty and I am checking in on my young scholars.”

“I am sending this as an encouraging message. Even though the COVID-19 pandemic has put a lot of our lives on hold, that does not mean that it is keeping your learning … your ambition on hold,” Usher said.

“I am asking that you keep this very simple routine: Wake up, get dressed, and log in to the virtual school and give it your all while your there. If you are having any technical issues please have your parents reach out to your schools to get you the tools you need. Listen I’m rooting for you. I’m here for you. Keep going.”

In addition to the virtual shout out, UNL has created a virtual academy to meet the needs of the collective with the technology most available to the young people.

From May 11th to August 28th, the UNL Virtual Summer Academy will host sessions on talent exploration, career exploration, health and wellness, fun, prizes, music, and networking. There will also be a component to start the week called Motivational Mondays.

Tapping high schoolers ranging from the age of 14 – 18, they will explore four pillars: Talent, Education, Career, and Service.

The mission is to help these ambitious young people find their “spark.”

Their spark is that divine notion in each scholar that connects them to their legacy. provide them a health community that promotes graduation and like-minded fellowship focused on global change and professionalism.

Usher’s New Look pops its collar as the organization can boast that 100% of its Leadership Academy graduate high school, 98% go on to college and 86% are first-generation college students.

While the eight-time GRAMMY-winning Usher works tirelessly to groom leaders, he does not do it alone.

His UNL team, small as it is, stands tall to execute his dreams. His C-Suite consists of Careshia Moore (President & CEO),Geoff Street (COO) and Amy Frizzell (Development Officer)

Their national leadership team Kamera Cobb (National Program Coordinator), Michael Broughton (Controller), Avery Floyd (Atlanta Program Coordinator), Latoya Henry (New York Program Manager), Tommy Springer (Media Production), Jessica Washington (Financial Literacy Director), Kim Williams (Marketing Director), Yurby Aquino (New York Assistant Program Coordinator) and Nicole White (Moguls in Training [MIT] Program Coordinator).

Hats off for making it happen for these young people, even as plans have shifted due to the international crisis.

50 Cent Sympathizes With President Trump Over Botched COVID-19 Response

(AllHipHop News) 50 Cent sympathizes with U.S. President Donald Trump over his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, despite knowing people who have died from the disease.

The rapper says he’s fine with living in lockdown, but has lost old pals from New York, the worst hit U.S. state, to COVID-19.

“I’ve become a bit more comfortable with being in my own space,” the “In Da Club” hitmaker tells U.K. newspaper The Guardian. “I don’t think being at home is a punishment.

“I know three or four people who have passed from my old neighborhood in Queens. In New York City, Queens always becomes the worst place.”

President Trump has drawn strong criticism for his efforts to combat the virus, which have included causing panic among medical experts by suggesting bleach as a possible remedy and shifting from supporting lockdown measures to backing protests against them.

However, the star doesn’t blame America’s leader for the severity of the pandemic as he sees him as a divisive character like himself.

“It’s an awkward situation. If you respond too fast, you’re wrong, because everyone would be kicking and screaming and saying you shut everything down,” 50 Cent reasoned. “But if you shut it down late, you’re wrong. So you can’t win in that situation.

“People hate him or love him. There’s no in-between. And for me, I’m looking at it and going: ‘That’s the exact position I’m in.'”

Rap Rockstar, Dooley Da Don Drops New EP “421 Blues”

Fresh off the success of his single, “Blessings From Skeezus,” Dooley Da Don pays homage to his southern roots with his debut EP, “421 Blues.”

With heartfelt lyrics and moving melodies over emotional trap beats, Dooley Da Don delivers a compelling introduction to his sound, solidifying his individuality as a newcomer in Hip-Hop.

The seven song project, which is a nod to South Carolina’s 421 highway, features cameos from other artists on the rise, such as Quando Rondo, Rylo Rodriguez, Rockout Red, Lil Bike and music industry veteran Bigga Rankin, who has been very instrumental in Dooley Da Don’s career thus far.

J-Lo’s Mom Taught Her To Twerk…When She Was 4!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Ever wonder who taught J-Lo how to shake that sazón like a salt shaker?

You might think Rosie Perez since that hot tamale got it popping as the choreographer for Keenan Wayans’ classic show, *In Living Color*. You’d be wrong.

Maybe you think that she was inducted into the body rocking hall of fame when choreographer Paula Abdul or Tina Landon when she danced with Janet Jackson back in the day? Could have been anyone iconic … like Debbie Allen … But all of those guesses would be wrong.

The person who taught Jennifer Lopez how to twerk was her own mother when the Bronx bombshell was still in pre-k.

TMZ broke the story, as they did a flashback to the Super Bowl where she and Shakira were headlining. During the rehearsal, there is footage showing J-Lo teaching the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer how to shake what her mother gave her.

You can hear Lopez tell Shak Shak, “I do it with my knees… If you shake your knees, your butt goes.”

Then she drops the bomb, “My mother taught me that … when I was four!”

This is not the first time that we heard something Mama Lo!

Back in 2019, Jennifer shared a video of her mom, Ms. Dõna Guadalupe Rodriguez, on a stage during one of her concerts dancing up a storm. Clearly, Jenny from the Block got it from her O.G. Lupe from Block.

La Roux Singer Wrote An Apology To Kanye West After Dissing Him

(AllHipHop News) La Roux star Eleanor “Elly” Jackson got caught up in a new unexpected feud with Kanye West after branding him “weird”.

The pair have butted heads in the past, after working together on his 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Unhappy with the final mix of her vocals, Elly told British magazine Culture she wouldn’t work with Kanye again, insisting: “No, f##k him. Nobody likes him.”

Speaking on the Slacker podcast, the star revealed the musicians have once again found themselves at loggerheads – this time after an “unsettling” run-in at a recording studio.

“He’s one of those people who’s not 100% normal. You can’t talk about anything normal. You can’t just have a normal conversation,” she said of the Jesus Is King star. “He’s on show 24 hours a day, it’s just him. It’s kind of amazing to be around. I’ll never be around anything like that again. It was really strange.”

She went on to suggest Kanye attempts to create a response from those he interacts with, saying: “He wants people to walk away saying, ‘That was really weird’.”

However, Elly was left shocked when a mutual friend revealed to Kanye that she found him weird – prompting him to demand an apology.

“It was quite creepy. I remember writing it. I was sat there on my sofa (laughing) to myself like, ‘Dear Kanye… ’ They told on me. It was ridiculous.”

She continued: “I just wrote it all with a massive grin on my face – although they do actually have quite a lot of power. I was like, ‘I think I am going to genuinely apologize. It’s no skin off my nose to write this email’.”

Explaining her comments, she said: “I didn’t say anything bad about him. I just saw some behavior – and it wasn’t directed at me – that I found upsetting and unsettling.”

Kanye has yet to respond to Elly’s latest remarks.
