Michael B. Jordan plays Bryan Stevenson, the lawyer that took up McMillian’s case. Just Mercy is based on Stevenson’s bestselling memoir Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption. If you have Netflix, then I’m sure the Kevin Hart documentary, Kevin Hart: Don’t F**k This Up, is on your suggested to watch list.
In the documentary, Hart opens up about various aspects of his life including the cheating scandal. Kevin already admitted to it and he and his wife, Eniko, have moved past it.
Many have shared their opinions on the matter, but it was only time for the very opinionated, Joe Budden to have his word on it. On his “The Joe Budden Podcast,” he expressed how he was entertained and impressed by the outcome of the documentary. He also spoke on how hard Kevin works. We all knew something extra was about to come out of his mouth and a few seconds later, he said the worst thing a man can say that probably have women giving their men the side eye.
According to Joe, who is also accused of cheating on his ex-fiancé, Cyn Santana, he said he can understand why Kevin cheated. I know, I’m cringing too.
“In thinking about how hard he works, sometimes you’re not home but ten seconds of the day for however many days. I as a man can understand how that can be difficult,” Joe explains.
Joe goes on to add, “I know how I was feeling just going to work and spending very little time at home. We don’t have to get into that but as men, I think y’all know what I’m saying.”
Joe, are you trying to tell us something?
Check out the video below. Joe talking about Kevin starts around the 48 minute mark.
What y’all think? Do you think Joe is trying to justify the cheating allegations made by his ex or what?

(AllHipHop Rumors) Getting into a fraternity can be a very difficult process, especially if you are old school. And then, after you step into the frat (no pun intended), you have a lot of responsibility. So, when somebody puts on that shirt or sweatshirt, you know they went through something and earned it.
When you see rapper Lil Boosie on social media sporting a Kappa Alpha Psi sweatshirt, you have to ask the question: WTF IS GOING ON. As for me, I busted out laughing, because I knew this was simple. This dude put on a Kappa shirt and went out in public not knowing what he was doing. Check out the social media:
https://www.instagram.com/p/B7FVaZbFIEi
I am cracking up! My dude used the hashtag “KappaFresh” – LOL! Now, this is not a joke. A lot of people take this fraternity thing very seriously and they are known to battle even inside of their own ranks when somebody does not come in right but is then seen when a shirt on. You KNOW they don’t feel Boosie wearing it randomly. Here is the inside scoop nobody else knows.
My sources tell me Lil Boosie is wearing that Kappa shirt, because his older brother is a Kappa and apparently lil bro just put it on. Maybe he looks up to his big bro or something. I am hearing the brothers in the Kappa organization hollered at the brother and told him to check his brother! I believe (sources say), Boosie did indeed get a call from his brother to cut it out. I am not sure exactly how that impacted the Bad Azz. On social media, Boosie sang a different tune.
Laaaawd y’all then got my Unc Boosie started pic.twitter.com/VH8b3rQP5w

Boosie cray! He better be easy, because this really is nothing to be played with. The Nupes (Kappas) are pretty much gentlemen, but they might wild out in cases like this.

(AllHipHop News) A year ago, the country was wrapped up in the story of Jussie Smollett allegedly being a victim of a racist and homophobic assault. The Chicago Police Department later arrested the former Empire star for filing a false police report.
Those charges were eventually dropped, but that did not end the news-worthy content connected to the situation. The city of Chicago filed a lawsuit against Smollett in an attempt to recover over $130,000 for the cost of the hate crime investigation.
In addition, a special prosecutor, Dan K. Webb, was assigned to investigate State Attorney Kim Foxx’s decision to not pursue the case against Smollett. According to reports, an Illinois judge ordered Google to turn over 12 months of Smollett’s personal electronic data to the special prosecutor.
Webb will have access to Smollett’s search history, photographs, files, and geolocation from November 2018 to November 2019. The Chicago PD’s search warrant also demanded all files and emails associated with his manager, Frank Gatson.
Smollett has maintained he did not orchestrate a fake attack in January 2019, and he accused law enforcement of disseminating “false and misleading information” to the public. The 37-year-old actor filed a countersuit against the city of Chicago in November.

Mike Russ is an independent entrepreneur who’s here to turn his music dreams into a reality — while giving other rising artists a platform to do the same. The San Bernardino native is the founder of LYF RECORDS, which stands for Live Your Future, LLC.
Through creating his own record label, he’s able to assist independent artists, producers, and brands to get closer into the music industry, giving them the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Being a 90’s baby, Mike was real stern in growing up old school, but still went through the transition of the modern world. He states, “I had a great perspective on everything. I’m a very outgoing person for the better of everyone around me.”
The “On” recording artist prides himself in his ability to both sing and rap, residing somewhere within the brink of breaking through from the underground to mainstream light. Most recently, he celebrated his 26th birthday in Las Vegas, inviting 20 artists and producers to share his penthouse space at Caesars Palace. The songwriting and production camp drew artists from all over the States to conjoin, collaborate, and do what they love most: make music.
AllHipHop: How would you describe your sound?
Mike Russ: For a long time, I was developing in a commercial studio. My engineer is the same engineers WHO were assisting with The Black Panther album. They were learning a lot as they were growing and I was developing with them, paying a lot of money to practice in the studio. Not even drop music, just to go practice in the studio. $150 an hour, whatever it was. While they learned, developed and equipped their skills, I waited until the time where I’m like “alright it’s time to show them my sound.” That sound “On” was 100% organically produced and made by us: my producer, me, the guitar, everything.
AllHipHop: What is it about Mike Russ that fans love?
Mike Russ: They love the mysteriousness because I have a mysterious vibe when I walk in. “Who the f### is this guy? What is he doing? What’s his motive?” I try to give that vibe on my social media. I call it the Lil Uzi affect: you keep them on the line. They wait for so long and you build a funnel of attention and traffic. When it’s time, it’ll be time. But right now, it’s not my time. You see all the things happening on the internet, it’s not Mike Russ’ time.
AllHipHop: Being an independent artist, how are you able to do all that you do? This penthouse is next level.
Mike Russ: Honestly, I told myself “what would you want?” And I gave it to myself. They say this room cost $2000, a night? Alright, let’s go invite 20 artists and tell them it’s $2000. Make times 10, go and make their money worth it, then also give it back into them. Take them out to dinner on my damn birthday and spend money on them. No one’s going to pay for me? I don’t have that mentality. I make sure everybody is straight. “Oh Shirley, I don’t want her walking all the way over to Planet Hollywood. Cancel that room and put her in the room next to us.” “Okay sir well that’s going to be this amount.” I don’t care, boom.
“We forgot the mic and the mic stand.” Okay, send them to Sam Ash and tell them to go buy everything right now. Here’s my card, boom. I don’t give a f###. I know if I put it in, it’ll come back to me. Waking up to this right here [music playing in the background], I wake up like “damn, ya’ll working already?” They’re like “man, we haven’t even slept yet.” I’m like “oh my f###### God, what? It’s been 48 hours.” They’re like “bro, I have to take as much time as I can into this because this is the best thing that’s ever happened to me in my life.” That’s good enough for me.
AllHipHop: When did you first start these producing/writing camps?
Mike Russ: How it started was I did individual projects. I used to charge people for individual projects: flew them out, put them into hotels, took them to the studio. Put them on jets if they did a bigger package, just gave them the look that they wanted to have for their campaign. On top of that in 2016, I started flying people out monthly. I started creating monthly packages for x amount per month, would start flying ya’ll out monthly and line everyone up together.
It’s not a penthouse every time unless it’s a really big serious event. It was my birthday, I made sure everyone got to network on my birthday and have a great ass time — including you. Three years ago was when I started doing this one artist at a time. It picked up so fast that I couldn’t physically go and hang out with 19 artists. It hurt my body. [chuckles] Literally. I’m like “from now on, 10, 15, 20 people per event and we’ll do ‘em every month.”
AllHipHop: Why Las Vegas?
Mike Russ: Honestly, Vegas was the most entertaining city for me while they had downtime. Because LA is LA, but they’re going to get LA when they go to LA. Some of these kids aren’t even 21 but if we put them in a nice ass 2000 square-foot room, they’ll have a blast. That’s why I do it here because I can’t get this over in LA. They have so much selection, so much choice here. I fly out 20 people at a time sometimes, so I need a nice 7-star hotel for 20 people. There’s damn near 50 hotels on the strip, so it’s easy.

AllHipHop: Talk about your own label LYF Records. When did you come up with Live Your Future?
Mike Russ: Back in the day, I had some guy tell me he was with Atlantic Records and he really wasn’t. He’s like “yeah, I’ll get you an Atlantic Records session. I’ll have them listen to your music, da-da-da.” He pulled me along for months and months, kept canceling on me. That’s what got me searching for the source. That’s how bad I wanted it.
I used to go out to LA. I don’t know where I was going, but I drove out there and sat at McDonald’s in Beverly Hills like “what’s the move? Where’s the move?” Looking at Instagram, DM whoever posted something. They’re like “we’re in so-and-so’s house.” I don’t want to say the house but they’d be like “come through, it’s a turn up.” I go over there and we’d party all of time. Now, I’m coming on a regular. All of a sudden, I’m like “you know what, all of these people said that they’re with this place, that place.” I’m like “I need to have my own place to go to because I don’t want to depend on Atlantic Records.”
I’d been yearning to get with them because I’d seen everybody there. Some people may not know me, but there’s enough people I do know that does know my name. That’s what was frustrating because I wanted my own OVO, my own Young Money. So I said “f### that, I’m making my own s###.” In an instant — I kid you not, it was one thought. I said “I’ll have my own s###. Three-letter acronym, what’s it gon’ be? LYF: Live Your Future.” That goes. Damn, that’s hard. F### it, let’s do it. Changed my Instagram and put signed to LYF Records. My whole family’s like “you’re signed to a record label?” They didn’t even know it was me. I saw the hype behind it. I created a LYF Records account, started building it up, and the rest is history. Everybody’s got penthouses now [chuckles], working with everybody.
AllHipHop: Are you signing artists?
Mike Russ: The thing about signing artists is that we’re trying to teach them to be independent, giving them a choice to have an independent process. See where that goes before we get into any serious paperwork. Because at the end of the day, if you’re a record label and you’re signing an artist, you are a bank and you’re loaning money. Otherwise, you’re just doing it for a hobby.
To me, I’m not at the point where I’m going to just loan money to people and have all this beef go on. “F### this label. F### that, they never did this.” I’d rather you guys be the reason of your downfall, the reason of whatever it is. I have no input on what you do. All I have is everything I have to offer from my services. That’s all I got to give you. I’m not selling you a dream, I’m not selling you nothing. I’m telling you this is what we got and that’s it.
AllHipHop: Talk about wanting to be the next Jay-Z.
Mike Russ: I want to be the next Jay-Z because I watched him help build his wife’s platform and himself at the same time with no Instagram. That’s what I’m saying, people are like “what? Oh yeah, he doesn’t have Instagram.”
(AllHipHop News) A woman who threatened to blow up the Swedish Embassy in Washington D.C. on behalf of A$AP Rocky will learn her fate later this month.
According to documents obtained by AllHipHop.com, Rebecca Kanter is slated to go before a judge later this month for her actions on the evening of July 22, 2019.
That is when Kanter was observed approaching the front entrance of the House of Sweden.
Secret Service agents issued a “Be On The Look Out For (BOLO) notice but she was not located until the following day when she returned to the House of Sweden.
Despite the BOLO notice, Kanter managed to clear security and began yelling at embassy personnel in defense of A$AP Rocky, who was locked up in a Swedish prison for an assault at the time.
Kanter grew more irate, and she cussed out a group of students who were touring the building. Then, the woman kicked a teepee display and flipped over a coffee table in the lobby of the House of Sweden.
Embassy staff gave Kanter the chance to leave but she decided to say and way for Secret Service agents, who arrested her.
An investigation revealed Kanter was clout chasing after she posted messages wondering why it wasn’t “breaking news that I defiled the House of Sweden last night, that I vandalized the World Bank, that I vandalized the IMF . . . why aren’t I getting press for ASAP.”
Fortunately, the liquid inside of the bottle was just plain old Coca-Cola.
Rebecca Kanter will face a federal judge on January 29, 2020, at 1 pm.
(AllHipHop News) Ravens fans are a worried lot after Drake wished Lamar Jackson a happy birthday.
On Tuesday morning, images of Drake wearing clothing with the team’s motto “Truss” on it surfaced on Instagram.
The rapper’s photo was posted on the Ravens Twitter account and the responses were those of shock.
Birthday wishes from Drizzy for 🎱@Lj_era8 Via @Drake pic.twitter.com/vX4tBdSn3R
— Baltimore Ravens (@Ravens) January 7, 2020
The fans fear that the “Drake curse” will hit Ravens. Legend has that if Drake associates with a player or team, they run into bad luck.
So, when Drake wished Lamar Jackson happy birthday, the fans felt that the team would lose Super Bowl.
It can be argued that Drake broke the curse in June 2019 when the Toronto Raptors defeated the Warriors and won their first NBA championship.
However, many Ravens fans feel that one counterexample does not imply there is no curse and that is why they are nervous about Saturday night game against Titans.
The good news is that the supposed curse has not changed the Ravens winning odds as Baltimore is a nine-point favorite over Titans.
Also, Lamar Jackson does not believe in the curse as he says he is Drake’s friend. As it is, the rapper’s friends in the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Steph Curry are exempt from the curse.
Nooooo tell Drake to leave LJ alone until after the Super Bowl brah…

(AllHipHop News) Wiley has stepped up his feud with Stormzy by threatening to attack his rap rival’s mom in a new diss track.
The pair began feuding after Wiley criticized Stormzy for working with Ed Sheeran, and put their hostilities into music, with the “Vossi Bop” hitmaker branding the grime pioneer a “crackhead c**t” on new release “Disappointed.”
That track was a response to the “Wearing My Rolex” rapper’s own diss “Eediyat Skengman,” which Wiley has now followed up with a second, even more personal track, “Eediyat Skengman 2.”
“If I see your mom down Croydon market / I’m gonna rip that weave (hairpiece) off her head, dead,” he raps in the lyrics, while on another verse he boasts of having, “done more for you than your dad has,” referencing the fact Stormzy’s dad was absent during his childhood.
The rapper also claims Stormzy and his mother Abigail “owe me a lump sum” – although he doesn’t specify what the alleged debt refers to.
The feud kicked off when Wiley, 40, slammed the “Shut Up” musician for working with Sheeran on Twitter, prompting the 26-year-old to hit back by claiming his rival was less scathing in direct messages.
“You are a p##ck coz you dm me all the time like it’s mad love and we’re brothers and then you come on the internet and act weird and the reason that makes you a p##ck is because you know I won’t ever say anything on the TL because arguing on the net has never been my style,” he tweeted.
The grime superstar then went on to call his rival “weird” and declined an invitation to “link up” and solve their differences.
On December 25, 2019, Mr. Melly dropped a present in “Next Move” that has made its presence known. Directed by Will Roberson with cinematography by Liquid, the video follows Mr. Melly as he fights for love and ultimately ends up on his “next move.”
When asked about the meaning of the song, Mr. Melly responded, “When I wrote this song, it was all about love and how to fight for it. Growing up I always heard songs about being in love, but I wanted to write something that says it’s okay and mature to move on if it’s not what both parties ultimately want.”
The smooth beats and catchy hook will have you singing this for years to come. Mr. Melly recently dropped an EP and is in the process of his first full album. Be sure to follow him on IG, Spotify, and iTunes to stay up to date with all his upcoming moves.
(AllHipHop News) Lizzo has explained to fans why she decided to quit Twitter, citing the amount of negativity on the social media platform as her motivation to leave.
Further explaining the shock move during a chat with fans on Instagram Live, Lizzo said she had grown tired of the constant negativity on the platform.
“I just want to say that I, you know, I just took a DNA test and it turns out I quit Twitter. I quit Twitter. I’m off it. All social media is not created equal,” she said.
“I would love to be on Twitter ’cause I could connect with you people who positively support me … not to mention spreading my own positive messages. But now I’ve gotten to a point where I’m not just dealing with Internet bullies, I’m dealing with seeing a lot of negativity on the Internet dealing with everyone.”
She added: “When I see how, not just insensitive, but hateful and hurtful we are towards each other – when I just log on every day and see something devastating and something tragic every single day. Even from my well of positivity, I feel it and it doesn’t feel good.”
