Donald Glover Finally Reveals His Son’s Name

(AllHipHop News) Donald Glover has finally revealed his son’s name is Legend.

The “Atlanta” writer/actor and musician, who also goes by his hip-hop alter ego Childish Gambino, took to the stage at the Governors Ball in New York over the weekend and performed a set for the crowd.

Glover and his girlfriend welcomed their first child in secret last spring and few details have been revealed about the tot since, but he used his latest public appearance to share his child’s moniker for the first time.

“You gave me exactly what I needed,” he told the crowd before belting out his track Baby Boy, taken from last year’s album Awaken, My Love! “This song is dedicated to everybody in this crowd and my young son, Legend.”

Fans went wild over the announcement, with one sharing a video of the moment on Twitter with the caption, “childish gambino (donald glover) reveals son’s name is legend”.

He also gave the audience another reason to talk as the star appeared to hint he’s calling time on his musical career.

On top of stating that his Governors Ball gig would be the only time he’ll perform this year, Glover also suggested he won’t be making any more music after his next, as of yet untitled record.

“Look out the final Childish Gambino album,” he told a confused crowd.

The 33-year-old won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Comedy of musical for his performance as Earnest “Earn” Marks on “Atlanta,” a series he also co-wrote and executive-produced.

The show also won the award for Best TV Series Comedy or Musical. He now has several big projects in the pipeline, including “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” the as yet untitled “Han Solo Star Wars” movie and the live action remake of “The Lion King.”

Maino & Wack 100 Are Beefing Again!

(AllHipHop Rumors) It remains a mystery as to how and why no one has really done anything to Wack 100 yet. LOL.

Wack 100 has beefed with a little of everyone over the last two years, but somehow he and Maino got back into it.

Last year Wack 100 and Maino traded shots as Wack accused Maino of playing both sides, and Maino took issue with The Game going in so hard on Meek Mill.

Apparently the beef started again when Wack tried to say he had more credit in streets of Brooklyn than Maino.

“I told that n-gga Maino that we need to get down am on my way to Brooklyn. Maino know n-gga that I am stronger than him in Brooklyn,” said Wack.

Maino replied saying,

“Suck my d-ck. You lying b-tch! How dare you jump on an interview and spit that bullsh-t! We spoke as men do! About how n-ggas were lying to u about me. Kay Slay and Murda told me no such thing boy! I Told you last time you could get fade, flat top or blady… outta respect. But I lost every ounce ounce of respect for you.”

Wack 100 continued to go in on Maino, and in a shocking plot twist, he even defended Maino deleting some of his posts.

“@Mainohustlehard first off clown get off IG n-gga and keep it in the streets. All you n-ggas go big on IG and when I catch you you wanna compromise. Let it be right where its at. Really dont know WTF you talking about right now but its whatever with me about whatever.

“@Mainohustlehard did not take his post down out of fear or cowardice. He took it down after he figured out a snake blogger violated confidentiality. I wasn’t asked to do this post just as he wasn’t asked to take down his post. I see you IG clowns are doing what you do best instigating a fire. We will do whatever it is we’re going to do however we do whatever that may be,” said Wack.

It’s unclear as to whether or not Wack and Maino reached some sort of resolution as Maino says he “said what he said!”

Plot Twist: Was Chris Brown’s Latest Stalker Actually Staying With Him?

(AllHipHop Rumors) Chris Brown is one of the celebs who certainly attracts some crazies!

Over the weekend a few videos hit the net of a deranged female being kicked off of what is believed to be Chris Brown’s property by an associate of Brown.

Brown even posted on his Instagram that he was being stalked by a girl.

In the videos, a friend of Chris Brown’s is seen yelling at the girl to never come back to his house again.

The captions of the videos suggested that the girl was a stalker. Word on the curb is that that’s a complete lie.

Supposedly the girl’s name is Julia, and she’s well known in the industry as an aspiring artist.

Let her tell it, she was actually staying at Brown’s house for several days before they got in a huge argument leading to him kicking her out. She also stated that everything seems like a blur to her, and she doesn’t remember much about what happened leading to her getting kicked out except that everyone was once partying hard.

She didn’t confirm or deny if drugs played a part, but she definitely appeared to be on something in the videos. It looked like she was planning to spend the night and make some beats. Lawd!

I’m sure more of this story will spill out. Meanwhile, according to Fameolous, she’s on the way back to her family in the Bay area.

Lil Kim’s House Heads Into Foreclosure

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Lil’ Kim is reportedly facing foreclosure after failing to agree terms with bank officials over her mortgage payments.

Bosses at HSBC Bank sued the “Crush on You” hitmaker in 2010 after she reportedly stopped paying the $10,000-a-month mortgage on her home in Alpine, New Jersey in 2009.

According to reports, bank executives subsequently brokered a deal with with the rapper for a $1.5 million mortgage that was to be paid in monthly payments of $9,935 .

However, Lil’ Kim reportedly stopped making those payments too.

The rapper was reportedly working with bank officials to come to another agreement, but she stopped responding to the lawsuit earlier this year, and on May 4, the judge overseeing the case reportedly ordered the home to foreclosure.

As of January, Lil Kim reportedly owed $1.9 million in mortgage payments, interest, and taxes.

The foreclosure isn’t the only financial woe Lil’ Kim has faced in recent years – she was reportedly hit with a tax lien for $127,000 in 2015.

Kodak Black’s Out Of Jail

(AllHipHop News) Kodak Black is back on the streets, after being released from jail earlier today (June 5).

The rapper served a little over three months in the Broward County Jail for violating the terms of his probation, when he went to a strip club and performed a show without permission.

According to TMZ.com, Kodak successfully completed a voluntary life skills course which made him eligible for an early release.

Kodak will still need permission from court officials if he plans to travel inside, or outside of Florida.

Kodak Black still faces a first-degree sexual assault charge stemming from an incident in February, 2016 in Florence, South Carolina.

Remy Ma Takes Another Shot At Nicki Minaj!

DJ Clue took to Instagram to hint that he’d be joint hosting a club event with Nicki sometime soon. The flyer for the event read, “the queen’s homecoming,” which Remy must have found too irresistible not to comment on.

While Nicki posted a pair of eyes in the comments, Remy wrote,

Did Nicki Minaj Block This Singers Song Over Meek Mill?!

People do shady things in every realm especially when it involves their significant other and possible cheating, but I’m telling you, this music industry ain’t nothing nice.

While singer K. Michelle is glowing with excitement about her music, new restaurant, and drink with Jack Daniels, she also had time to put a certain rapper on blast.

Fans have learned that Nicki Minaj allegedly did some shady business behind the scenes to affect K because she thought K was smashing Nicki’s at-the-time boyfriend, Meek Mill.

While reflecting on her 2014 album, ‘Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart’ K. Michelle expressed that a certain rapper [Meek Mill] gave her the title track from the project but it was suddenly snatched away because his girlfriend at the time [Nicki Minaj] thought they were smashing from here to there!

“I was told that the song from my album was being taken from me, because the rapper that gave it to me girlfriend thought I was f— him. God did more than handle the situation, I’ve sat back and healed up. Watched karma. I’m not perfect but I’m not evil or insecure,” said K. Michelle.

And of course “Buy A Heart” featuring Meek Mill later appeared on Nicki’s ‘Pink Print’ album.

Messy, messy! K. Michelle deleted several tweets, but she made sure to mention that some of the highest people up have the lowest self-esteem.

Nicki and Meek have yet to respond, but Nicki’s fans certainly jumped in K.’s mentions. IF this turns into a beef, it will certainly be interesting because K. Michelle always has a little time. Carry on!

Wu-Tang Celebrates 20th Anniversary Of “Wu-Tang Forever”

(AllHipHop News) Rappers the Wu-Tang Clan celebrated the 20th anniversary of their Wu-Tang Forever album at the 2017 Governors Ball Music Festival in New York on Saturday.

RZA, Method Man, Cappadonna, GZA, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, U-God, Inspectah Deck, and Masta Killa hit the stage at Randall’s Island for a set of classics and even a snippet of The Beatles’ “Come Together,” which has become a live tradition.

Late rapper Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s son, Young Dirty Bastard, joined his dad’s bandmates for “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” and “Got Your Money,” and Redman stunned fans by hitting the stage for “Da Rockwilder” after Method Man told the crowd his pal wasn’t at the gig.

The second day of the Governors Ball also featured acts like Dua Lipa, Childish Gambino, Rae Sremmurd, Stormzy, Phoenix, and Tame Impala.

Ludacris Responds To Genius Annotations For “Area Codes,” “Stand Up” & Other Songs (VIDEO)

Ariana Grande’s ‘One Love Manchester’ Concert Becomes U.K.’s Most Watched TV Event In 2017

(AllHipHop News) Ariana Grande, other musicians, and the people of the United Kingdom showed their resilience against terrorism by taking part in the One Love Manchester benefit concert.

The event was a response to the tragic attack at Grande’s Manchester show in May.

Deadline reports One Love Manchester averaged 10.9 million viewers on BBC One, making it the U.K.’s most-watched television program of 2017.

Over 22 million people tuned into the show for at least three minutes at some point.

Besides Grande headlining the concert at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, other performers included Pharrell Williams, Mac Miller, Black Eyed Peas, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Robbie Williams, and Liam Gallagher.

Other stars – such as Stevie Wonder, Chance The Rapper, DJ Khaled, Jennifer Hudson, Demi Lovato, Kendall Jenner, and Rita Ora – appeared in video messages during the concert.

The One Love Manchester benefit concert was organized to support the victims of the May 22 suicide bombing.

Childish Gambino Plans To Release One Final Album; Chance The Rapper Talks Rumored Joint Project (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Fans of Childish Gambino may only get one more studio album from the Atlanta-bred musician/actor.

CG performed a set at New York’s Governors Ball festival this weekend, and he took a moment to announce his plans to drop a final LP.

“I’ll see you for the last Gambino album,” the entertainer also known as Donald Glover told the crowd.

So far, Gambino has released three LPs – Camp, Because the Internet, and “Awaken, My Love!”

His discography also includes several mixtapes and EPs.

Gambino’s “The Worst Guys” collaborator Chance The Rapper was also recently in NYC, and the Chicago native spoke with Hot 97 about the long-rumored joint project from the two stars.

Chance presented even more bad news for Gambino followers when he was asked about the potential collaboration.

“This is going to hurt people’s feelings. We’re probably not going to put out a project in reality until we’re around like 44,” expressed the 24-year-old.

In February, Glover discussed a possible Childish-Chance body of work while speaking with 92.3.

“We actually sat down in the studio and were talking for a little bit,” said Gambino. “We’re both busy, but I think when he has a moment, we’ve been sitting down working together. I think it’s about catching a vibe.”

Schoolboy Q Explains Why The Chance Of A Black Hippy Project Coming Out Is Slim (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Schoolboy Q recently sat down with Montreality for a new interview.

The Top Dawg Entertainment representative covered several topics including the potential compilation project with his fellow Black Hippy members Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock.

“Y’all been asking that question for like four years,” responded Q when asked about Black Hippy. “I don’t know man. I can’t say that.”

While Schoolboy was uncertain about the fate of a highly anticipated BH effort, he is in the process of creating a follow-up to his own Blank Face LP  album.

That individual work plays a part in why the Black Hippy project has yet to come to fruition.

“People don’t understand when you’re working on an album and you’re getting into a groove, it’s hard to stop that groove, that zone you’re in, and that vision you got, to jump into a whole new thing,” stated Q.

The Los Angeles rhymer went on to explain that TDE artists’ tendency to focus on putting together conceptual solo projects makes it difficult for the foursome to come together for a full body of work.

He added, “I can’t say that we’ll be in the studio getting a Black Hippy album ready. No matter how much [TDE CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith] wants it to happen, no matter how much [TDE Co-President Dave Free] and the fans want it to happen – the chances of us getting into the studio together working on Black Hippy is slim because it’s just too much going on.”

Schoolboy Q made it clear he is open to doing a BH album, but they have to find the time to make it happen.

“We’re not just going to go into the studio and finish an album in a month,” expressed the “THat Part” rhymer. “Maybe some of these other rappers do their music like that, but we don’t do our music like that.”

Bryson Tiller Earns First #1 Album With ‘True To Self’

(AllHipHop News) Congratulations should go out to Bryson Tiller as the singer-rapper earned his first #1 album on the Billboard 200 chart.

According to Billboard, Tiller’s sophomore album, True To Self, collected 107,000 equivalent album units (47,000 traditional albums) in its first week of sale.

The Kentucky native’s 2015 project, Trapsoul, opened with just 22,000 copies in its first week, but the LP went on to reach platinum status.

Trapsoul peaked at #8 on the Billboard 200 in January 2016.

In addition, Atlanta rapper Lil Yachty’s debut studio album, Teenage Emotions, broke out with 46,000 units (20,000 traditional albums) this week.

Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN is still maintaining a Top 5 position (#2) by collecting another 84,000 units.

The TDE artist’s fourth studio album spent three weeks in the top spot so far this year.

DJ Khaled Releases Drake Collaboration “To The Max” Off ‘Grateful’ Album

Bryan “Birdman” Williams Is Selling His Massive Miami Mansion For Big Money

(AllHipHop News) Rapper/Cash Money Records CEO Bryan “Birdman” Williams is looking to sell his famous mansion in Miami.

According to reports, Birdman is selling the Palm Island mansion that was once owned by former Rockstar Energy CEO Russell W#####, as well as producer Scott Storch.

Birdman, who purchased the mansion for $14.5 million in October 2012, spent a few million in renovations and he is asking for $20 million for the luxurious home.

Birdman will be leaving behind a 20,000 square-foot, seven bedroom, 12 bathroom mansion that has elevators, a 100-foot waterfront, movie theaters, basketball courts and other amenities.

The news of the sale of Birdman’s Miami mansion comes as the mogul fights a $51 million-dollar lawsuit with his star artist, Lil Wayne, over his album Tha Carter 5.

Despite the legal issues, Birdman was still able to make Forbes’ richest rappers list this year, with an estimated net worth of $110 million.

Legal War Erupts Over Tupac Merchandise

(AllHipHop News) Two big-box clothing retailers are accused of ripping off images of Tupac Shakur for a new line of shirts.

Urban Outfitters and Forever 21 have been slapped with a lawsuit by photographer Danny Clinch, who shot images of Tupac Shakur for Rolling Stone in 90’s.

The legal issues started when Amaru/AWA Merchandising entered into an agreement with two companies, Bioworld Merchandising and Planet Productions, to use the photos on a line of T-shirts.

The photos and the T-shirts were eventually licensed to Urban Outfitters and Forever 21.

The problem is, Tupac’s company never had the original rights to license the photograph in the first place, according to Danny Clinch’s lawsuit.

“Defendants, without the authorization, knowledge or consent of the plaintiff, deliberately and willfully copied, displayed, distributed, and sold the copyrighted photographs on such infringing T-shirts and perhaps other apparel,” according to the lawsuit.

Danny Clinch is seeking over $600,000 in damages, and he is also asking the court to order the destruction of any infringing merchandise that may be left.

Famed 80’s MC, Educated Rapper of U.T.F.O. Dies From Cancer

(AllHipHop News) In the 80’s U.T.F.O. was one of the biggest rap groups that scored a timeless hit in “Roxanne, Roxanne.” The group has a momentary reunion under the a most somber occasion.

The members gathered as their comrade Jeffrey Campbell aka The Educated Rapper of U.T.F.O. passed away from cancer. The news spread fast over social media, as fans reminisced over the impact Campbell had.

On “Roxanne, Roxanne,” he infamously stated, “She needs a guy like me with a high IQ.”

Group member Kangol Kid mourned openly on Instagram.

“With incredible sadness and greater regret, I am officially announcing that my UTFO brother Jeffrey Campbell aka “EDUCATED RAPPER” is rocking the mic in Heaven. Former Dictator Saddam Hussein Loved Hip-Hop and Mary J. Blige

(AllHipHop News) Former dictator Saddam Hussein spent his final days listening to hip-hop, according to a new book.

A former soldier named Will Bardenwerper has just published a book titled “The Prisoner in His Palace: Saddam Hussein, His American Guards, and What History Leaves Unsaid.”

The new book claims the soldiers guarding Saddam developed a cozy relationship with the former leader of Iraq, after he was captured by US troops and ask, for crimes against humanity.

In addition to loving American shows like Sesame Street and movies like Dracula, “The Prisoner in His Palace” revealed that Saddam was a huge fan of hip-hop, especially Singer Mary J Blige.

In addition to rap music, Saddam apparently love Cohiba cigars, which he stored in an empty box of wet wipes.

According to the books, Saddam Hussein also enjoyed buses and exercise a portable bike which he nicknamed “Pony.”
