Foxy Brown Booed By Philly Crowd After Reportedly Showing Up 3 Hours Late (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Foxy Brown’s visit to Philadelphia over the weekend did not end the way the rapper or some of her fans had probably planned.

According to reports, attendees at a Black Pride event where upset when Foxy failed to hit the stage.

The Ill Na Na album creator was promoted as “performing live” at the “Mega Party” on April 28.

There are also reports that Foxy showed up at the nightspot at 5 am, three hours later than expected.

The Shade Room posted a video of people booing Foxy as she left the location.

Some of the disappointed fans can be heard yelling “Remy Ma,” referring to Foxy’s feud with the Bronx spitter.

The drama played out in Philadelphia around the same time Remy’s other rival, Nicki Minaj, was offering a shout out to Foxy on Instagram.

Foxy returned the love to Nicki on her own IG page.

As of press time, the “Oh Yeah” performer has not addressed the controversy coming out of Philly.

Interview: Miami’s Best Kept Secret Sits Down with AHH

AllHipHop had a chance to sit down with Teenear. She’s an emerging R&B singer from Miami, FL, who’s scheduled to perform alongside Kendrick and Future at this year’s Rolling Loud festival. Learn more about the talented star below. 1. With acts like Kendrick, Mac Miller and Future – are you nervous about performing in front of a predominantly Hip-Hop audience? I feel more excited than nervous. The nerves haven’t really hit me yet. Music is music and we’re all there because we have a love for it. 2. “Something Else” is the new single circulating the web. Where can fans find the track? Is there an EP – when can we expect a full project? It can be found everywhere! It’s on Apple Music, Tidal, Spotify, SoundCloud, iTunes, etc! I plan on releasing a full project later this year. I just wrapped the iHeart Juice tour, so I’ll be back in the studio asap.

3. Are you planning any collaborations with popular Miami artists like DJ Khaled, Kodak Black (when he gets home), Zoey Dollaz, or Robb Banks? I definitely have a few surprises… and plans on collaborating with a few Miami artists. 4. Is it hard breaking out of the Miami market? Describe some of the struggles being an emerging artist. I’m going to say yes, but I’m not too worried about it. I feel like my sound isn’t necessarily a “Miami Sound” and I see that I’m reaching other places, quicker than my actual hometown. Some people would say that’s a bad thing, because you want local support, but even if Miami isn’t going 100 for me.. at least I know other cities are. 5. You’ve got a remix we found, with Trina. Can we expect more? Yes, Streetlights ft. Trina. I honestly don’t know, word on the street is.. Trick and Trina are putting out an album on Slip-N-Slide… The world is full of possibilities.   Check out her new single “Something Else

Pharrell and Robin Thicke Insist A “Groove” or “Feeling” Cannot Be Copyrighted

(AllHipHop News) Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams have argued a “groove” cannot be copyrighted as they continue to fight allegations their “Blurred Lines” was lifted from a Marvin Gaye song.

The stars have been challenging a 2015 ruling they illegally sampled Gaye’s “Got To Give It Up” tune from 1977, which landed the late soul icon’s heirs Nona and Frankie Gaye millions in damages.

During the Los Angeles trial, the musicians denied the infringement allegations but openly admitted to being inspired by Gaye’s work, and in their latest filing, their attorneys insist the two tracks are only similar in the “feeling” listeners get when they hear the tunes – and that cannot be protected under copyright law.

“A ‘groove’ or ‘feeling’ cannot be copyrighted, and inspiration is not copying,” reads a brief filed on Monday (April 24).

They are also asking appeals court officials to determine whether the original case judge, John Kronstadt, was correct in sending the dispute to trial instead of issuing a summary judgment.

Thicke and Williams are seeking a reversal of the 2015 judgment or a retrial in a lower court, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Gayes’ attorneys insist the songwriters do not deserve the opportunity to appeal or try the case again.

The late soul legend’s kids were initially awarded a slice of a $7.4 million verdict, but the figure was later trimmed down to $5.3 million, before the defendants launched their appeal.

Dr. Dre Is Backing Anthony Joshua In His Fight Against Wladimir Klitschko

(AllHipHop News) Dr. Dre called British boxer Anthony Joshua to wish him luck ahead of his heavyweight title fight with Wladimir Klitschko tonight (April 29).

The 27-year-old fighter will defend his International Boxing Federation (IBF) championship belt against the Ukrainian, 41, in front of 90,000 fans at London’s Wembley Stadium.

The winner will also be crowned as the World Boxing Association’s (WBA) heavyweight champion.

N.W.A. rapper Dre, a big fan of the Britisher boxer, took time to call Joshua before he steps into the ring. The transcript of the conversation has been released by Dre’s electronics brand, Beats by Dre.

“What’s up brother, you good? Wish you good luck man. You know what I gotta tell you, right now you’re one of my favorite fighters man,” Dre started.

Joshua responded by telling the hip-hop star that he was one of his “favorite musicians” and that he had been listening to the musician’s 1993 hit Let Me Ride to help motivate him ahead of the big fight.

The 52-year-old rapper added, “Good luck this Saturday man, you probably won’t need it.”

Joshua has also collaborated with the rapper to design a range of headphones for Beats by Dre, which is now owned by Apple Inc.

The headphones feature an image of the map of Africa etched on to them. Joshua, whose parents hail from Nigeria, has the same image tattooed on his shoulder.

British bookmakers have Joshua as the favorite to win the blockbuster heavyweight match-up, despite Klitschko going undefeated as heavyweight champion for almost a decade until losing to another Brit, Tyson Fury, in 2015.

Los Angeles Cops P##### At Rapper YG

(AllHipHop News)
Rapper YG is under fire from the Los Angeles police department, over his song Meet The Fockers.”

The rapper’s song has been causing controversy since it was released in 2014.

“Meet The Fockers” is an instruction manual on how to rob people, specifically targeting Asians.

According to TMZ.com, three suspects were caught in a robbery in the San Fernando Valley.

When questioned, the bandits claimed YG song was their inspiration to burglarize the homes according to TMZ.

In October of 2016, an organization calling itself New Civil Rights Alliance conducted armed protests of several of YG shows around the country over “Meet the Flockers,” which is from his album My Krazy Life.

“Historically, Hitler’s promotion of cultural violence against Jews caused the direct violence leading to the Holocaust,” said a rep for NCRA. “Today in America, Cultural Violence desensitizes the devastating effects of hateful behaviors. It motivates the commitment of heinous actions through entertainment for commercial profit, which, in turn, have directly contributed to the high crime rates in this great Nation.”

Chest Injury Forces Machine Gun Kelly To Postpone More Shows

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Machine Gun Kelly has postponed three concerts as he continues to recover from a recent chest injury.

Last week, the “Bad Things” hitmaker sparked concerns for his health while performing at the Seminole Casino in Florida on his 27th birthday (April 22), when he began clutching his chest before halting the show and dashing offstage for medical assistance.

He was checked over backstage and returned to finish the show.

The rapper and actor, who has appeared in films such as “Nerve” and “Beyond the Lights,” had previously revealed he had suffered the chest damage while filming his new movie “Captive State,” and now the injury has caused him to postpone his shows in North Dakota, Iowa, and Oklahoma, which were due to take place from Friday (April 28).

The shows have been rescheduled for next month.

“As many of you know I sustained a pretty intense chest injury on a movie set last week,” he wrote on Twitter. “Since then I’ve seen multiple doctors in (an) attempt to speed up my recovery process. I was advised to take one month off to make sure I fully recovered but you know that’s not how I rock…”

While fans wait for Kelly, real name Colson Baker, to return to the stage, the rapper has released new single “Let You Go” from his upcoming album bloom. He also shared a video on Instagram showing him shooting the album’s cover.

“in honor of the new song coming out tonight, here’s some bts (behind the scenes) footage of how we shot the ‘bloom’ album cover,” he tweeted. “just like every song on the album tells a story, every picture does too”.

7 DMX Songs To Uplift The Dog In His Time Of Need

(AllHipHop Editorial) DMX has checked himself into a Southern California rehab center and the Hip-Hop community is praying collectively for the Yonkers emcee. The 46-year old, real name Earl Simmons, has had a prolonged, embattled struggle with drugs and mental illness (Bipolar disorder) which has played out in a very public manner.

I have been blessed to have interviewed DMX at several stages of his career, including the very beginning. DMX’s first influential album, It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot, came out the same year that AllHipHop was founded. Those were also my formative, scrappy years as a professional writer looking to make a mark in Hip-Hop. Through the years, I’ve seen first hand many of his great career highs and some lows as well. But, more than that, I’ve seen a fighter and a survivor.

DMX has continually wrestled with Bipolar disorder (once known as manic depression) and addiction, also a disease. Last year, he nearly died after a drug overdose and those near him have largely come to accept his issues as a part of his persona. However, this instance – lets reject that narrative. Lets send the Dog positive energy in this time of strife and hope that this marks the first step to wellness. With that, I’ve have compiled 7 of DMX’s own songs that have inspired millions and, perhaps, they will motivate Earl Simmons through this trial.

“I’m Slippin'”

At first this song seems to be a self-fulfilling proclamation until you hear the first lines DMX utters. “See to live is to suffer but to survive / Well, that’s to find meaning in the suffering,” DMX says before embarking on one of his more humble songs.

“Who We Be”

Over time people forget. Folks have forgotten all the accolades that DMX has amassed, the records he has broken, and even the power of his words, as media reports have cast a shadow. “Who We Be” will quickly serve as a reminder of how mighty DMX’s pen game is.

“Right Here”

“We ain’t goin’ anywhere…we right here.” – DMX

DMX has been in the rap game in a number of incarnations since the 1990’s. His first song was called “Born Loser,” but over 20 years later, through all the life struggles, inner demons and outer devils…he’s right here.

“What’s My Name?”

“What’s My Name” was one of DMX’s shiniest videos, but it was a great departure from the grit of his initial outings. It seemed to solidify his place in history.

“We In Here”

This is one of DMX’s later songs, but the dog proves he’s still got it and pops off accordingly.

“Stop Being Greedy”

This song is one of X’s finest. “I thank the Lord every day that I’m blessed with the gift,” he raps. But, “Stop Being Greedy” represents the polar opposites that rage within DMX – the good, the bad and grimy.

“Let Me Fly”

If you look at the comments under this song, you will see remarks like “this song is therapy” and “this got my through life.” There have been times when people joke about DMX, but forget Earl Simmons is a man that has survived countless ills. We need to support people in need, especially those with big hearts and great spirits. DMX is one of those people.

Chuck Creekmur is the owner of AllHipHop.com and DMX was one of his first professional interviews. He’s talked to the Dog through several incarnations of the rapper’s career. X even forced him to do a jail pose when he didn’t want to. LOL!

Migos Brush Off $1 Million Lawsuit Lawsuit Over Stolen Clothes

(AllHipHop News) Rappers Migos are seeking the dismissal of a lawsuit accusing the stars of stealing wardrobe items from a recent video shoot.

Stylist Marcus Clark launched legal action against the “Bad and Boujee” hitmakers in February, alleging the trio failed to return clothes and accessories worth over $20,000 after shooting singer Niykee Heaton’s “Bad Intentions” video last year.

He demanded compensation for the value of the shirts and vintage sunglasses taken, plus $1 million in damages.

Migos’ lawyers have now responded to the suit, claiming the case is too frivolous to proceed.

In the court papers, obtained by TMZ.com, the rappers claim items going missing at video shoots in Los Angeles is a common occurrence, but insist they didn’t steal the goods and shouldn’t be forced to pay for the swiped wardrobe pieces.

“This is Los Angeles,” reads the documents. “If an artist allegedly removing items from a music video, fashion shoot etc. constituted malicious or oppressive conduct, courts would be inundated with lawsuits.”

DMX Heads Into Rehab To Try and Get Sober

(AllHipHop News) Rapper DMX has checked into rehab, after a meltdown on the stage last weekend.

X, born Earl Simmons, was the headliner last weekend during the Ruff Ryders Reunion concert at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York.

But the rapper shocked fans, when he went on a bizarre rant, mid-way through his set.

DMX Struggles Through Ruff Ryders Reunion Concert

The outburst caused DMX fans to wonder about his health, since the rap star has had a long running battle with substance abuse.

Earlier last week, it was announced that DMX would be canceling a series of shows, prompting further speculation about a possible relapse.

According to DMX’s rep, the rapper indeed has relapsed, and is heading into rehab according to a statement from his representative.

“It is important right now that he take some time off to focus on his health so that he can be a better father, friend and entertainer.

“We are eternally grateful for the outpouring of concern and support that has poured in. We ask that you please keep X in your prayers as he embraces your support.”

DMX is supposed to be one of the headlining acts at the upcoming Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival, which is due to take place July 10-16.

Wack 100 Discredits Tupac’s Gangsta Again!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Wack 100 is back at it again with the Tupac disses!

The Tupac disrespect is a bit much!

An interview of Tupac’s former bodyguard OG Mob James explaining “what really happened to Tupac” has been floating around, and you know Wack 100 couldn’t wait to chime in on social media!

Mob says that if Tupac wouldn’t have been involving himself in so much chaos, and if Suge Knight would’ve put a stop to Tupac’s behavior, since he was an artist, Tupac would still be here.

Mob James claimed that when he knew he had so many people around him, his attitude changed, and he begin acting out.

Wack posted the video clip on his Instagram with the caption,

“Follower, Busta, part time hard ass n-ggas always get dealt with. 1 of me or 100 men with me 100 don’t change on nobody. West.”

When one of Wack’s followers accused him of always hating on Tupac, he definitely had a lot to say back!

“Clown facts are facts you n-ggas gone know that your favorite rapper didn’t run nothing out West but his mouth. Bottom line. The minute you n-ggas started pumping Pac was the West Pac ran the West was the minute Pandora’s box was opened. Leave me as a hell of a rapper all that other sh-t ain’t what it was,” said Wack.

It’s like why all of this Tupac hate from Wack years later.

Ciara’s a New Mom

(AllHipHop News) R&B star Ciara is a new mom.

The “Goodies” singer and her husband, American footballer Russell Wilson, welcomed a baby girl on Friday (April 28).

Ciara shared the news with fans in an Instagram post, which featured a photograph of herself cradling her baby bump on the beach, and the caption: “Dear Sienna Princess Wilson, No matter how big the wave, we will always be your calm in the storm. We Love You. Love, Mommy & Daddy. 7:03 pm. 7lbs 13 oz. 4.28.2017. Photo By Daddy.”

The singer announced she was expecting her second child in October – on her 31st birthday – in another Instagram post.

Alongside a photo of Wilson touching her belly, she wrote: “On this special Birthday I received an abundance of love from friends and family… and I’m excited to Finally share one of the Greatest Gifts of All that God could give…”

The couple tied the knot in England last summer.

Ciara also shares son Future Zahir, two, with rapper ex, Future.

She and Wilson hit the headlines back at the beginning of 2016 when they went public with their plans to abstain from sex until their wedding night.

“I really believe that when you focus on a friendship, you have the opportunity to build a strong foundation for a relationship,” she said.

“I have to give credit to my husband for sharing those views. It’s awesome how it all worked out. We women think with our hearts and with our minds. When we see a guy, we envision what he’s like and whether this could be something special. Guys see us from an exterior point of view… You shouldn’t feel like you have to give your body away to get someone to like you.”

Meanwhile, Ciara gave friends and fans a scare last month when she was involved in a car crash in Los Angeles.

She took to Twitter following the terrifying incident, and thanked her body for keeping her baby safe during the drama: “Thankful For Gods Grace, and Amniotic Fluid,” she wrote.

A week after the crash, she shared a sweet snap of herself cradling her baby bump while gazing into the camera in an effort to reassure fans she was OK.

Poppy Khan Keeps It 100 On “10 x 10”

And another one! Poppy Khan dropped one of his latest tracks called “10×10”, featuring guest appearances from Suga B, Dankyduksta, & M.I.C. Book.

The upbeat backdrop let all rappers flex their rhyming skills and pass the mic back and forth effortlessly. It also allows Suga B to unleash a load of soul on the chorus. The track is melodic and catchy, and Poppy Khan shows no sign of deviating from his mission. The man is determined to make his mark. This soulful yearning track is the perfect soundtrack to the coming summer nights. Poppy Khan’s music is playlist worthy.
