The Formation World Tour began in Miami, Florida back in April.
Beyonce’s biggest show to date came when she took over the Stade de France in Paris on July 21 – over 75,000 tickets were sold for the gig, making it the tour’s best-attended show.
Billy Joel is second on the new Hot Tours chart thanks to $4 million tour haul, and Shawn Mendes comes in third, ahead of Mumford & Sons and Maroon 5.
Uh oh! Jhene Aiko is finally ending her marriage to producer Dot Da Genius after a very public “affair” with rapper Big Sean.
Dot & Aiko were only married for 11 months. Many believed that they weren’t really married at all with the type of public affection Jhene and Sean were showing while promoting their joint project ‘Twenty88’.
Jhene and Dot once posted photos on Instagram with captions about their marriage, but even still the idea of their marriage seemed like a joke. Dot expressed early on that he wasn’t with all of the Hollywood stuff when fans asked him why he deleted pics of Jhene off of his page.
According to TMZ, Jhene is asking the judge to deny Dot Da Genius spousal support, and she’s listing the reason for their split as irreconcilable differences.
Big Sean and Jhene Aiko haven’t been shy about making out in front of crowds either. These celebrities are making a mockery out of marriage. LOL.
(AllHipHop News) With all the talk of rappers “freestyling” using electronic devices over the last week, Hip Hop heads have been blessed with a throwback lyrical session from one of the most iconic rap groups of all time.
Yesterday (August 11), Tim Westwood released audio from 1997 of Wu-Tang Clan members rapping for over 50 minutes.
Ol’ Dirty Bastard, The RZA, Method Man, Masta Killa, and U-God all spit bars as DJ Mathematics handled the turntables.
Back in 1997, the Wu dropped their sophomore double album Wu-Tang Forever. The well-received collection has been certified 4-times platinum by the RIAA.
(AllHipHop News) The rise of the Black Lives Matter movement ignited activists, politicians, and police officials to strive for solutions to the sometimes complicated relationship between cops and the residents they serve.
Members of the Hip Hop community have also stepped up to help bring awareness and offer solutions to the instances of police brutality taken place in America.
Chance The Rapper is adding his voice to the topic of excessive force by law enforcement. The Chicago-bred performer addressed the issue in his Billboard cover story.
“There’s a larger conversation we need to have about the role of police officers, their relationship to the people as enemy or executioner, when they’re not supposed to be either,” said Chance. “There’s also not enough pressure on internal organizations that are supposed to police the police and on judges in the justice system who are supposed to make reasonable decisions.”
The creator of the critically acclaimed Coloring Book project has also been an active advocate for ending the street violence taking place in his hometown.
(AllHipHop News) There had been a lot of discussion about Netflix’s new Hip Hop series The Get Down for months. The show has now arrived on the streaming platform.

Videos of a fight at a Connecticut concert featuring G Herbo and Lil Bibby is floating around the internet.
Some reports suggest Bibby’s chain got snatched and then a wild brawl broke out.
While a bunch of people can be seen throwing punches and slamming folks to the ground, it’s not clear if the two Chicago rappers were directly involved in the melee.
(AllHipHop News) Dr. Dre may have only released three studio albums, but that total was enough to help give the legendary Hip Hop superstar more than 15 million albums sold for his career.
Billboard reports Dre surpassed that mark in the week ending July 28. The N.W.A member’s 2001 LP from 1999 has sold 7.9 million copies to date.
1992’s The Chronic is at 5.9 million sold and 2015’s Compton is at 535,000 sold. Compilation albums such as Concrete Roots and First Round Knock Out make up the remaining 665,000 plus copies.
Dre’s 2001 is the fifth largest selling album in the U.S. since 1991 when Nielsen Music began tracking sales.
The album only trails Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP (11 million), Eminem’s The Eminem Show (10.7 million), Nelly’s Country Grammar (8.6 million), and 50 Cent’s Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ (8.4 million).
Of those five top rap sellers, four were released on Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment label. Em’s two projects, 50’s GRODT, and 2001 have combined to sell over 38 million units.
Summer ’16 has definitely been a lit one for Malia Obama. She already gained much attention for her twerking videos at Lollapalooza a few weeks ago, and now rumor has it, that twerking wasn’t the only thing Malia was doing.
According to RadarOnline.com, first daughter Malia Obama was caught red-handed smoking marijuana at Lollapalooza.
An eye-witness claims she saw Malia take a hit off what appeared to be marijuana while watching the Bryson Tiller set. The insider says Malia was only a few feet away from her, and she could smell the marijuana smoke coming from the joint she took a hit on.
The witness went on to say,
“All during this time, the Secret Service was in the background, I’m not sure whether or not they saw her take a hit on a joint.”
Chris Brown and Lil’ Bibby have certainly given their stamp of approval to Malia. Chris said it’s just weed, and people really need to be concerned about the drugs that Donald Trump is on. Lil’ Bibby says everyone smokes weed, and if he were President his daughter would be able to do whatever she wanted to do.
The Malia Hive caught up to the girl who snitched and let her have it with emojis on Instagram. What are your thoughts?

(AllHipHop News) Snoop Dogg recently discussed some of his favorite collaborations over the course of his legendary career and what makes for chemistry in the studio for two artists.
Snoop, who just dropped a new curated playlist with Pandora, named artists such as Pharrell, Dr. Dre, Nate Dogg and Tupac as his favorite artists he has worked with.
He also explained what made these dynamic collaborations so successful.
“What makes a collaboration successful? Well what I think makes it successful is the love that the two artists have for each other, and for the coming and going of making a song that represents whatever the spirit of what the collaboration is all about,” Snoop Dogg told AllHipHop.com.
In spite of the length and impact of his illustrious career the Long Beach representative still says there’s a famous songstress that he hasn’t had the pleasure of working with yet and would love to create magic with.
“Is there anyone who I haven’t worked with that I want to work with? Sade. Why? Because I love her music, I love what she stands for, and I think would be a great collaboration between Snoop and Sade. It would be something that people want to hear, and I’m looking forward to it one day.”
In celebration of his recent album Coolaid, Snoop has also curated his own Pandora mixtape, which features artists such as 2Pac, N.W.A., Dr. Dre, Wiz Khalifa, and more. Give the mixtape a listen here.
Cam’ron & Jim Jones’ brotherly social media and real life “fake beef” has certainly been entertaining lately. With that being, said Drake’s NYC Summer Sixteen tour stop added to the entertainment.
Drake brought out part of Dipset (Juelz Santana & Cam’ron) , but noticeably missing was Jim Jones.
Fans wondered if it were a situation of beef as the reason why Jim Jones was in the audience and not on the stage. Cam’ron sat down with Thisis50 to clear the air on the situation.
Cam says Drake actually called Juelz and said he wanted them to come out. Cam says people wanted to know why they didn’t bring Jim out, but Cam says it wasn’t his show.
“It’s not my show, I don’t conduct the show. It’s not Cam presents Drake,” said Cam’ron.
Cam knows he is PETTY. Regardless of whether or not Drake or Juelz mentioned Jim Jones, they could’ve still brought that man out. Cam said he didn’t even know Jim was there until people informed him on his comments on Instagram.
Cam said it honestly didn’t matter to him if Jim was there or not, but out of respect he wouldn’t go at Jim Jones because that’s still his man regardless of what people see in the public eye.
It seems like Cam’s main issue with Jim Jones is that he puts too much of their family business out to the public when things could be handled with a phone call. Cam says he doesn’t have a problem with Jim, but he doubts the Dipset reunion will happen.
Do you think Cam’ron & Juelz should’ve brought Jim Jones out?
(AllHipHop News) In the same week Tory Lanez stated in an interview with Sway In The Morning that he did not want to talk about Drake anymore, the singer-rapper still had more to say about his fellow Toronto native.
Lanez took part in a “rapid fire” word association Q&A with WPGC. Names such as 50 Cent and Jay Z caused the “Say It” performer to reply with “fire.”
When he was asked about Drake, Lanez said, “I’m better than him.”
In another video circulating the internet, the creator of the forthcoming I Told You album suggested Drake was not welcomed in Meek Mill’s hometown of Philadelphia.
“We really out here in Philly. Real Toronto n-ggas out here in Philly. Not them other guys,” stated Lanez in the Snapchat clip.
He later added, “Unlike you, I’m good in Philly, n-gga.”

Isaiah Rashad’s official studio LP was expected to be among the releases. The Tennessee-bred emcee had been relatively quiet since 2014’s Cilvia Demo EP, but the XXL freshman class alum let loose a video for “Free Lunch” this week.
The clip ends with “09.02.16” across the screen. Rashad posted the same date on Twitter adding, “Until then.. or the next reminder.”
After Kendrick Lamar’s untitled unmastered and Schoolboy Q’s Blank Face LP, Top Dawg Entertainment still has to deliver four more projects before the end of the year. That means something from Isaiah is likely to arrive on September 2.
(AllHipHop News) According to reports, The Weeknd recently donated a quarter of a million dollars to the Black Lives Matter network.
Fader claims to have two sources that confirmed the Grammy-winning superstar gave $250,000 to the organization started by Patrisse Cullors, Opal Tometi, and Alicia Garza.
The group’s stated mission is to build connections between black people and allies to fight anti-black racism, spark dialogue among black people, and to facilitate connections to encourage social action and engagement.
The Weeknd previously addressed the Black Lives Matter movement and the issue of police violence in a July 7 tweet that read, “enough is enough. it’s time to stand up for this. we can either sit and watch, or do something about it. the time is now. #blacklivesmatter”
The message was posted the same week Alton Sterling was killed by a police officer in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Philando Castile was killed by a police officer in St. Paul, Minnesota.
enough is enough. it’s time to stand up for this. we can either sit and watch, or do something about it. the time is now. #blacklivesmatter
Apparently T.I’s restaurant, Scales 925, is getting ready to close its doors because sheriff deputies allegedly just served an eviction notice to his downtown upscale Atlanta restaurant.
Remember, T.I. and his business partner were already being sued by employees for “stolen” wages. Tip’s landlord told WSBTV, that the rapper hasn’t paid rent in months and owes over $1 million. Consequently, Tip has left the landlord with no choice but to evict.
The venue was said to have been a nice upscale venue that was needed for the culture to fill the void left when other celebrities’ restaurants closed down. However, many customers on various ratings websites have complained about the service.
Tip has since blasted his restaurant business partner, Charles, and he has called their restaurant, Scales 925, a mistake.
These celebrities can’t keep restaurants open in Atlanta. We hate this is happening to Tip!
(AllHipHop News) Director Antoine Fuqua has a remake of “Scarface” in his sights.
The “Training Day” filmmaker is preparing to premiere his reboot of “The Magnificent Seven” at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival in Canada, and now he is in talks to take charge of another movie classic.
According to Deadline.com, Fuqua has entered negotiations with Universal studio executives about revamping “Scarface” for a new generation of film fans, 33 years after Brian De Palma and Al Pacino tackled the gangster thriller.
The 1983 release, which was set in Miami, Florida, was itself a remake of Howard Hawks and Richard Rosson’s 1932 original, which starred Paul Muni in the lead role, and was based on late crime writer Armitage Trail’s 1929 novel of the same name, which was inspired by the rise and fall of real-life Chicago mob boss Al Capone.
If Fuqua signs on, his version of Scarface will take place in modern-day Los Angeles.
The latest draft of the script was penned by “Straight Outta Compton” screenwriter Jonathan Herman, although “Donnie Brasco’s” Paul Attanasio and “Suicide Squad’s” David Ayer previously helped to develop the plot.
Marty Bregman, who worked on De Palma’s project, will also produce the new reboot, alongside Marc Shmuger, Dylan Clark, and Scott Stuber, the husband of model-turned-actress Molly Sims.
Fuqua’s “The Magnificent Seven” reunites him with his “Training Day” stars Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke, while Chris Pratt also features.
The original western, directed by John Sturges, starred Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, James Coburn, Robert Vaughn, Brad Dexter, and Horst Buchholz as seven renegades who are recruited to protect a Mexican village from bandits.
The 1960 release was based on Akira Kurosawa film Seven Samurai and was followed by three sequels – “Return of the Magnificent Seven,” “Guns of the Magnificent Seven” and “The Magnificent Seven Ride Again.”
Uh oh, it looks likes Drake is being accused of using ghostwriters again. As you know Meek Mill waged a war against Drake last summer when he accused him of using a number of ghostwriters to write his raps.
It looks like Meek Mill’s fans have been stalking Drake’s Instagram, and are now claiming that Drake exposed himself by posting his own reference tracks on Instagram almost a year before Meek Mill’s claims.
Drake posted a screenshot of his iTunes library to show support of fellow rapper Future’s mixtape, ‘Monster’. Above the ‘Monster’ tape appears to be reference tracks from Boi-1da, Noel (Drake’s engineer), and Quentin Miller.
The “self-incriminating” post can still be found on Drake’s Instagram page, and it’s looking like the 6 God didn’t completely write “6 PM In NY.”
Do you care if Drake writes his rhymes or not? Several rappers have used ghostwriters over the years, so has all of this been unnecessary drama?
