Reginald Butler was arrested and charged with aggravated assault in Adams County, Mississippi after a white man who allegedly attacked him earlier that day was shot during a second confrontation on a rural bridge, according to reports.
Deputies responded Friday evening (July 11) to reports of a fight near a party on Deerfield Road, but before they arrived, they were informed that a shooting had occurred. Investigators later determined that two separate encounters led to the gunfire.
In the first incident, captured partially on video, Butler was seen being beaten by a group of white men. He escaped the attack on a bicycle. About a mile away, one of those men allegedly confronted Butler again on a bridge, exited a vehicle and began assaulting him, witnesses said.
Butler then pulled a firearm and fired multiple rounds, striking the man in the chest and hitting the vehicle once. Both men fled the scene.
Butler was later located at his home and taken into custody. The firearm believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered. The wounded man was transported by emergency crews to Kingston Ball Field, where he was airlifted to a hospital.
Butler was also taken to a hospital by deputies to be treated for injuries from the earlier assault.
Authorities identified Cameron Taunton as one of the men involved in the initial beating. He was initially charged with simple assault causing bodily injury. Despite video evidence and witness statements indicating Butler was attacked a second time before he fired his weapon, he remains in custody at the Adams County Jail.
Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten addressed the community’s growing concerns after the video of the initial assault surfaced.
“To the individuals whose identities were captured in these videos or whose voices can be heard on the videos, come to the sheriff’s office on Monday first thing, or we will be seeking you out and picking you up,” Patten said. “We are deeply troubled by the recent incident involving the assault on Reginald Butler and the subsequent arrest of all parties involved.
“The emergence of videos has shed new light on the events that took place that day when three individuals unjustly attacked a man who was simply minding his own business. We recognize the profound pain, anger and frustration this has caused the entire community and we share in the outrage over this injustice. Hate has no place in our society and certainly not in our community that has made so much progress.”
Still, Patten offered a rationale for Butler’s arrest that some have questioned.
“The decision to charge Butler with aggravated assault reflects the totality of circumstances at this stage,” Patten said, “including whether the use of force met legal standards for self-defense under Mississippi law. All of this is being reviewed now that the video evidence has emerged and statements have changed.”
Patten also noted that Butler had attempted to return to the scene of the initial assault, which he initially said factored into the decision to charge him—a claim he later admitted “isn’t completely accurate.”
Mississippi is one of 38 states with a “Stand Your Ground” law, which allows individuals to use deadly force if they reasonably believe it is necessary to prevent death or great bodily harm. Critics have long argued these laws are not applied equally, particularly when Black individuals claim self-defense.
Butler was released on a $50,000 bond on Monday (July 13). Taunton’s charges have been upgraded to aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit aggravated assault. He’s being held on a $350,000 bond.
Elmo’s official X account erupted in controversy after being hijacked on July 13 with a string of antisemitic and inflammatory posts that triggered online outrage and comparisons to Kanye West.
The account, which has more than 647,000 followers, was flooded with hate-filled messages, including violent threats against Jewish people and slurs aimed at political figures.
One post claimed former President Donald Trump was a “puppet” of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and referenced the long-speculated Jeffrey Epstein files.
The hacker also demanded the release of Epstein-related documents, adding fuel to the already chaotic situation.
All offensive posts were removed shortly after the breach was discovered. By the following day, July 14, the account had been locked down with no new activity since the incident.
Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit behind the beloved Red Muppet, confirmed the account had been compromised. In a statement, the organization said the posts were “abhorrent” and added, “We are working with X to regain full access to the account and ensure this does not happen again.”
The incident quickly gained traction across social media platforms and news outlets, not only because of the disturbing nature of the posts but also due to Elmo’s status as a cherished children’s character.
Online users were quick to draw parallels between the hacked messages and previous antisemitic remarks made by Kanye West, who has faced backlash for similar rhetoric in the past.
“why did Kanye hack Elmo’s Twitter?” one user asked, while another said: “Not Elmo! I guess he’s on whatever Kanye is having.”

Top5 Reportedly Stabbed in London While Drake Faces Festival Backlash
Top5 and stabbing allegations is not a good thing, but here we are. The controversial OVO affiliate has reportedly been poked in London. He was out there for what was supposed to be a victorious UK trip for his crew.
You’ve definitely heard of Top5 and if not, don’t worry about it. He’s the reported enforcer of the OVO squad and has ruffled plenty feathers in Toronto. He’s basically made himself known through intimidation, but not his raps.
According to social media whisperers, Top5 was allegedly attacked while overseas. The London streets, known for their sharp wit and sharp weapons, spoke. Details are murky, but multiple unconfirmed sources suggest that Top5 is recovering and survived what some are calling an “assassination attempt.” That’s dramatic, but the streets are saying it.
Now, what makes this even more interesting is the timing. Drake just wrapped up a headlining performance in the UK, that Wireless Fest. But it didn’t exactly land the way fans expected. Some concertgoers are salty. They claim the Boy left the stage after only 40 minutes, well short of the marathon sets fans have grown accustomed to. Whether that has anything to do with Top5’s incident is anybody’s guess.
If your guy gets stabbed in the city you’re performing in, it might shift your mood. That said, I don’t know when this alleged attack happened in relationship to the weekend of performances.
Nevertheless, we don’t want to see violence. Whatever beef was cooking…let it stay, um, raw. Let’s hope he takes this moment to recalibrate. Rap doesn’t another dead rapper.
Let’s get back to the music people—or at least the petty bars.
Damon Dash is catching legal smoke again and this time, filmmaker Josh Webber wants him locked up for allegedly ignoring a court order tied to a multi-million dollar lawsuit over the film Dear Frank.
Webber is asking a judge to slap Dash with an arrest warrant for allegedly ducking a court-mandated deadline to hand over ownership papers tied to his companies and copyrighted work.
The docs are supposed to help facilitate the auction of Dash’s assets, which was approved by the court earlier to pay off a fat $4 million judgment.
The judge had already warned Damon Dash that skipping out on the discovery process could land him in real trouble, like fines or even jail time.
Welp, here we are.
A letter filed in court this week lays it all out: Damon Dash and his companies, including Dash Films Inc., Bluroc LLC, Blakroc LLC, Lebanon Improvements LLC, Ocean East Improvements LLC, and 1996 Songs LLC, were ordered to submit ownership certificates and digital copies of film content by July 10, 2025.
The same goes for another one of his entities, Poppington LLC, which was told to cough up proof of copyright ownership for multiple films.
So far, nada.
Webber’s legal team says they’ve been in touch with Dash’s lawyers, and even they admitted Dash hasn’t turned over the goods. Because of that, Webber wants the judge to hit Dash with a contempt charge and issue an arrest warrant to finally force compliance.
Damon Dash didn’t show up when it mattered and in 2022, he got hit with a $805,000 judgment. That ballooned into $4 million after Dash flamed Webber on the Earn Your Leisure podcast.
The court has already given the green light to auction off Dash’s assets, including full stakes in several companies and copyrights to films like “Honor Up,” “Too Honorable,” “Welcome to Blakroc,” and “We Went To…” China.
Some of Dash’s personal items, including jewelry, might be on the block, too.
Even selling off his Roc-A-Fella stake last December wasn’t enough to cover what he owes. Now, the court wants all remaining items turned over to the U.S. Marshal to expedite the sale process.
Dash’s refusal to follow through has Webber asking for the court to not only arrest him but also transfer the ownership documents and copyrights directly to the government.
Playboi Carti’s artist makes a splash for all the wrong reasons…
Destroy Lonely is under intense scrutiny after an incident at the Beach, Please Festival in Romania. A 15-year-old boy was seriously injured during the rapper’s set. Here’s how it went down.
According to witnesses and video footage, the “Look Killa” rapper allegedly forced the underage fan to leap from the stage. Some say he shoved him when he paused in fear.
The teen fell nearly 10 feet. His body slammed a metal barricade. Emergency crews rushed the boy to a local hospital. Lil’ bro reportedly had a lung contusion, liver trauma and damage to one of his kidneys. I heard he broke a rib from another repor, too.
Festival organizers are not feeling Destroy Lonely now.
They said, “We consider the artist’s gesture to be irresponsible. We never want to collaborate with this artist again.” No word if anybody will be sued for this.
Destroy Lonely invited the fan onstage, but the situation quickly escalated when the boy appeared reluctant or scared to jump into the crowd. Suddenly, he’s wrapped around the barrier. DOH!
Outrage swiftly followed. But this is Carti’s artist. Not sure what they expected, but this is not shocking to me. Critics argue that fan welfare was not considered, especially for this young guy.
Destroy Lonely hasn’t addressed the incident and that’s making it worse.
The Beach, Please Festival says, “It is not our fault! We do everything on the up-n-up.” I am paraphrasing, but you get the idea.
The teen is recovering, as this happened over the weekend.
Kanye West pushed back against claims that his July 12 concert at the Shanghai Stadium was a disaster, issuing a detailed statement that denied he was late and blamed technical issues for the rocky performance.
The show, which marked West’s first full concert in Shanghai since 2008, drew between 70,000 and 72,000 attendees, making it one of the largest Hip-Hop events in China’s history.
But the night didn’t go as planned. Complaints flooded Chinese social media, with users criticizing the sound quality, minimal stage production and abrupt ending.
Many in the crowd reportedly chanted for refunds after paying more than $400 for tickets.
Kanye West’s team responded to the backlash by releasing a statement disputing several of the claims that were circulating.
“To ensure the quality of the performance, Ye arrived at the stadium before 3:00 P.M. on July 12 (with surveillance footage available as evidence),” the statement read. “The concert was originally scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM, but due to on-site equipment issues, troubleshooting and adjustments continued until 8:00 PM and still failed to reach optimal condition.”
Despite the technical problems, Kanye decided to press on.
“Out of respect for the audience’s passion and anticipation, Ye made the decision to go on stage and perform despite the imperfect setup,” the statement continued. “Therefore, claims of Ye being late are entirely untrue.”
Throughout the performance, Kanye West was forced to pause three times due to equipment malfunctions. According to his team, he returned backstage each time to coordinate with staff and quickly resumed the set.
“Even in the midst of heavy rain, Ye insisted on returning to the stage promptly to continue performing — solely to offer the audience and fans his utmost sincerity and respect.”
After finishing the final song, Kanye West stood alone in the rain, bowed and exited the stage. Ten minutes later, an unauthorized track was played at the venue, which his team said he had no knowledge of.
“Ye was completely unaware of this and was shocked to learn of it,” the statement said. The rapper closed the statement with a message to his supporters.
“I love China. I love my Chinese fans. Your support is my greatest motivation. I promise to return your trust and love with even more perfect performances in the future!” Kanye said.
Calvin Ross is an accomplished R&B singer and producer from Tennessee. Recently, he received the Best R&B Artist of the Year award from Black Only LLC in Atlanta, GA, having previously won the same accolade in 2022.
The artist just released a new hit single titled “Cuttin Up” featuring 2c’s. Following the ascent of their debut EP to No. 30 on the iTunes Charts, they released “Cuttin Up,” a dynamic single that combines a hip-hop edge with R&B soul. The track evokes dark, cinematic chords and an epic, stadium-ready beat that captivates listeners from the very first bar and maintains its grip throughout.
The production was mainly programmed by Drum Squad Records producer Chriz Beatz, Calvin Ross layered the drum pattern, and 2c’s also played a major role with the instrumental. Which opens on an eerie chord progression, laying the groundwork for a relentless, anthemic rhythm. Layered over pulsing kicks and crisp snares, the instrumentation shifts with dynamic flourishes—subtle hi-hat rolls giving way to bold stabs of melody. This sonic architecture provides a dramatic backdrop for Ross and 2c’s razor-sharp flows, each verse characterized by tight delivery and unbridled intensity.
Listeners will find themselves swept up in the track’s momentum: the chorus builds into an irresistible surge of energy, primed for turn-up moments and late-night drives alike. “Cuttin Up” balances introspective lyricism with commanding bravado, highlighting both artists’ knack for crafting memorable hooks and punchlines that land with precision.
Their collaboration not only reaffirms their chemistry but also demonstrates artistic growth, expanding upon the bold experimentation of their first EP while maintaining the accessibility that won over fans worldwide. With “Cuttin Up,” Calvin Ross and 2c’s deliver a single guaranteed to energize playlists, clubs, and airwaves this summer.
ABOUT CALVIN ROSS
Calvin Ross was unfortunately taken from his parents at the young age of just a few months, along with his older sister, Domonic Ross, and placed into foster care. He remained in the same foster home with six other children until he turned nine, at which point his paternal grandparents relocated him to Detroit.
Calvin began his music journey at the age of 17, shortly after returning to Tennessee following a six-year stay in Detroit. He obtained a friend’s music setup for $100, which allowed him to start creating beats using Fruity Loops. Once he became familiar with producing his own beats, he leveraged his singing talent and began recording and mixing his music.
“I didn’t want to release any music until it sounded really good,” he stated.
After winning a showcase at P. Diddy’s studio, Daddy’s House, Calvin Ross had the opportunity to meet with an A&R representative from Def Jam Recordings, who further validated his abilities. Following this encounter, he began to take his music career more seriously and has since achieved remarkable success.
Currently, Calvin Ross lives in Atlanta, where he primarily produces Urban R&B music, drawing inspiration from artists such as Michael Jackson, Usher, Ginuwine, and R. Kelly.
“The feeling I get when someone sincerely tells me they enjoy my music is the best feeling in the world,” Ross expressed. “I let the instrumentals communicate with me and guide my lyrics.”
Having grown up in a Tennessee neighborhood where crime and violence are prevalent, Calvin Ross possesses a vibrant story to share—one that continues to distinguish his music from others.
To date, he has opened for artists like Avant, Urban Mystic, YFN Lucci, Yung Bleu, and Snootie Wild, and he relentlessly pursues his aspiration of having his music reach the No. 1 spot on Billboard.
ABOUT 2c’s
2c’s hails from Jackson, Tennessee, where music flowed through his family’s veins from day one. His uncle, “Big Chuck,” kept him up to date with every new release—36 Ball & G, DJ Squeaky, Dayton Family—and his parents filled the house with old-school blues around the clock. Growing up, his world revolved around these sounds, even as he navigated the streets.
At 15, 2c’s streetwise hustle led him to Young Mexico’s studio, where he first laid vocals over hard-hitting beats. Watching Mexico perform on BET’s 106 & Park, he realized success beyond his hometown was possible. This moment ignited his drive to pursue music as more than a pastime.
For 2c’s, music has always been about legacy, not money. He aims to leave an enduring imprint for his children and family, believing that music heals and uplifts the soul. His creative philosophy is rooted in authenticity and the transformative power of sound.
His musical influences span Southern rap and beyond: Young Dolph, Future, Three 6 Mafia, and Ball & G shaped his lyrical style, while working around Drumma Boy taught him the importance of surrounding himself with the right collaborators. In the studio, he and co-producer/engineer Chriz Beatz lock in to sculpt fresh, boundary-pushing sounds—Beatz remains his go-to engineer for realizing his vision.
A true multi-hyphenate, 2c’s is a rapper, songwriter, producer, and composer. He began making beats as a backup plan, but his talent quickly led to credits with major artists: Ludacris, Megan Thee Stallion, Daedae, Jay Fizzle, Big Moochie Grape, Dej Loaf, BAK J, FBG Murda, Young Buck, and many more. Today, 2c’s stands as both artist and architect, crafting tracks that resonate long after the last note fades.
Vanessa Carlton stunned the crowd at London’s Wireless Festival when she joined Drake onstage Saturday night for a live rendition of her early-2000s anthem “A Thousand Miles.”
The unexpected duet unfolded during the second of Drake’s three headlining sets at Finsbury Park, where the Canadian rapper paused his performance to welcome the 44-year-old singer-songwriter to the stage.
Carlton took her place at the piano and launched into the instantly recognizable intro of her 2002 hit, while Drake hyped the audience and urged them to sing along.
Carlton shared her gratitude on Instagram, writing, “Thank you to the one and only \@champagnepapi for inviting me to be a part of his show and for the sweet introduction. I am so moved and have been a fan since the beginning. And thanks to everyone behind the scenes that pulled this one off for us. So now I can personally recommend Drake’s fabulous \@wirelessfest experience.”
The “Hotline Bling” artist has yet to publicly comment on the collaboration, but his three-night Wireless Festival run featured a rotating lineup of high-profile guests. Alongside Carlton, the rapper brought out Lauryn Hill, 21 Savage, Giveon, PartyNextDoor, Skepta, Latto and Sexyy Red across the weekend.
“This is the first time in my life that I’ve done three different shows on three different days,” Drake told the crowd during Friday’s opening set. “You came to a very special night. It’s night one. It’s a celebration of all things R&B.; All things melodies. All classics.”
Despite the star-studded lineup, the final night of the festival hit a snag.
Drake’s Sunday set was cut short to just 40 minutes due to a strict curfew enforced by local authorities.
The 38-year-old rapper is still riding the momentum from his February release Some Sexy Songs 4 U, a collaborative album with PartyNextDoor.
You’re in the zone and your brain is exploding with ideas. Then you hit the dreaded wall: finding the right sample. And not just any sample. A sample with the right vibe, the right price, and something you’re actually allowed to use.
Sounds familiar?
WAVS got you all. This platform won’t tie you down to crazy subscriptions or the deceptive upsells; instead, it keeps it simple with a credit system enabling it to revolve around you rather than doing it the other way around.
Let’s get a better idea of how WAVS makes shopping for samples less of a hassle so that you can create more than decipher terms and prices.
Understand WAVS Credits in Simple Terms
WAVS ditched the complicated stuff. No monthly contracts. No cryptic fine print. Just credits. You purchase what you want, when you want it and the most obvious credit that accompanies the sound is clear. It is a little like loading an Oyster card- but on music creating.
Suppose you need a thumpy snare, some thick vocal slices, or energetic drum loops to fuel your next intro; each sample is priced in credits, so you will know what it costs. There are no secret charges. No surprises at all.
What You Get with Each Credit Type
Here’s where things get tasty. One credit with WAVS tends to yield one clean one shot, maybe a kick, a crash, or a silky pad. Want more? Loop packs, layered stems, MIDI files and presets are more expensive, however, they are loaded with content, and created by producers worldwide..
WAVS boasts a staggering library: over 100,000 samples, including 15,000+ one-shots, 8,000 MIDI files, more than a million stems, and a mountain of synth presets. It’s a candy shop for sound designers, beatmakers, podcasters, and video editors alike. You’ll never run short of inspiration.
How to Get More Out of Fewer Credits
Credits are precious. Fortunately, WAVS makes each one of them. You no longer have to browse blind, but you have a smart system on your side.
It is completely sorted according to your mood: When you are creating something that is Chill, Uplifting or straight up Weird and having doubts as to what best suits?
It helps! The sample suggestions that WAVS provides thanks to AI match you with similar sounds that logically combine with what you have already selected.
This kind of intuitive browsing keeps you in flow. No bouncing between tabs or second-guessing your instincts. Just smooth sailing through sounds that match your creative intent.
Avoid Overpaying for Sample Packs
Here’s something you’ll appreciate: WAVS doesn’t force you to buy bloated packs full of sounds you’ll never use.
You are allowed to cherry-pick individual samples or stems, within a pack. This will mean that you will no longer have to pay 20 risers when you only need one atmospheric swell.
And you can preview them all before you pull the trigger so you know what to load in your cart. The result is and is not what a person argues one needs as you are given what one wants but not what others think one deserves.
Flexible Pricing for All Creators
Whether you’re a music producer, a podcast editor, a filmmaker, or someone just dabbling in their home studio, WAVS meets you on your level.
It is possible to recharge with some credits here and there, or buy bigger packs when you are in the game working on a big project.
It does not subject you to spending patterns which are incompatible with your work flow. When you are shooting on a shoestring or simply trying out a different genre you don?t want the pressure of being locked into the film.
And because WAVS supports creators who upload their own packs, you’re directly engaging with a thriving creative ecosystem.
Wrap-Up
Here’s the bottom line: WAVS makes sampling accessible. The credit system isn’t just about saving money, it’s about giving you clarity, freedom, and control.
You know what it is you are buying, and you know what it will cost, and you are free to develop your sound library in your own fashion.
That means that the next time you want that right texture, groove, or loop, you should not be kept down by subscriptions and trial and error.
Have a system that operates in the same way that you do, swiftly, creatively and with no non-sense flexibility.
Azealia Banks publicly accused Conor McGregor of sending her explicit images without consent and threatening her afterward, posting alleged nude photos of the MMA fighter to support her claims.
The outspoken rapper took to X.com with a series of posts aimed directly at the former UFC champion, claiming he sent her unsolicited nude images through Instagram and then tried to intimidate her into silence.
“Like how are you really going to sexually harrass me with the potato farmer dick then threaten me not to tell???? Honey…… ain’t u trying to be the president of Ireland what is it giving fam? Use some f###### sunscreen damn,” Banks wrote.
She didn’t stop at words. Banks shared what she says are uncensored images of McGregor’s genitals, allegedly sent to her without her request or consent.
Banks also mocked the appearance of the images, adding insult to injury.
“How you gonna send a b#### a some crooked dick pics then threaten her not to tell. \@thenotoriousmma n#### do you know who the f### I am?” she wrote in another post.
The tweets quickly drew attention for their graphic nature and the serious accusations they contained.
The allegations come as McGregor continues to deal with a string of past legal issues related to sexual misconduct.
In 2023, a woman accused McGregor of assaulting her in a bathroom at the Kaseya Center in Miami during the NBA Finals. The case was reported to police, but the Florida State Attorney’s Office declined to press charges due to a lack of evidence, according to ESPN.
More recently, in November 2024, a civil jury in Ireland found McGregor liable for raping a woman in a Dublin hotel room in 2018. The court awarded the woman, who testified under the name Hand, nearly $257,000 in damages.
McGregor claimed the encounter was consensual and is currently appealing the verdict. As of now, McGregor has not publicly responded to Banks’ claims or the images she posted.
Kanye West dismissed his former assistant Lauren Pisciotta’s latest lawsuit in Los Angeles as “fantasy fiction,” after she leveled new accusations of sexual battery, assault and false imprisonment against the Hip-Hop mogul.
The amended complaint marks the fourth version Pisciotta has filed and according to a Yeezy spokesperson, each one gets more “absurd and outlandish” than the last.
“Lauren Pisciotta’s amended complaint is the fourth version she has advanced,” the spokesperson said. “Each new revision contradicts the others; each is more absurd and outlandish than all previous claims combined.”
The spokesperson called the allegations a “breathless new instalment of fantasy fiction” that “discredits all past, present and future testimony.”
They added, “The Courts are no place to indulge delusions and mental disturbances. We stand ready to annihilate Ms Pisciotta’s tall tales before a jury — an exoneration so inevitable that even she, lost in her fog of fantasy, must surely see it coming.”
Pisciotta, who previously worked closely with West, claims in her lawsuit that she endured disturbing behavior while under his employment. Her attorney, Lisa Bloom, fired back at the statement, accusing West’s team of dodging the real issue.
“While Kanye West’s publicist has come up with a slickly worded (and outrageously false and defamatory) attack on Ms Pisciotta, Kanye himself has publicly admitted much of what she’s claiming,” Bloom told the Daily Mail. “Kanye’s publicist is deafeningly silent on Kanye’s own admissions, which will destroy him in court. We look forward to seeing him there, where he cannot hide behind a high-priced spin team.”
No court date has been publicly confirmed as of now, but both sides appear ready for a legal showdown.
As people abandon Kanye West and he loses gigs, Consequence is doubling down on working with the enigmatic rap mogul.
After years of ups and downs, rapper and songwriter Consequence has reunited with longtime collaborator Ye for a new single. He made the revelation exclusively to AllHipHop.
Consequence said his new song is produced by West and will be released before the end of the season.
“I’ve got the beat of the summer again,” Consequence told AllHipHop. “When my new single drops—and yes, Ye produced it, we’re going to have some conversations.”
Details about the track remain limited, but Consequence indicated that the production is classic Kanye, reminiscent of the soulful “old Kanye.”
Nice Doing Business With You, Consquence’s last album, hit in 2024. “I’m looking forward to people being able to ride out for the spring and the summer”, he told AllHipHop. Then, he dropped the lead single “Blood Stain”. Featuring production from Kanye West, the song was a hit for the Queens-bred rapper.
The most recent collaboration marks the latest chapter in a decades-long relationship between the two artists. Consequence, a cousin of A Tribe Called Quest’s Q-Tip, first gained national attention in the late 1990s.
He later played a significant role in the development of West’s early solo career. He gave a standout verse on “Spaceship” from West’s 2004 debut album The College Dropout.
Over the years, Consequence became a fixture in the Ye’s G.O.O.D. Music camp, vocals and songwriting to albums Late Registration and Graduation. He is credited as a co-writer on several Kanye West tracks, including “Flashing Lights” and “Gone.”
The relationship soured in 2011 when Consequence left G.O.O.D. Music. He would go on to publicly criticized West and labelmate Pusha T. The two reconciled years later and resumed creative work on West’s Donda album.
Now, Consequence is also focused on his teen son, Caiden the Crownholder, who is an accomplished rapper too. Caiden recently went viral on TikTok with a freestyle that garnered over 5 million views.
No release date has been announced for the new single, but Consequence said the track is part of a broader rollout planned for the summer.
“I’ve never been one to kick my feet up,” he said. “It’s boots to the ground. Always has been.”
SZA noticed a decisive shift in Lizzo’s energy during a recent visit, praising her longtime friend’s newfound independence and emotional growth following a personal breakthrough in Bali.
Lizzo explained how the “Kill Bill” showed up solo to hang out, a change from the past.
“I remember pulling up by myself to see her, and she [SZA] was like, ‘Are you okay? You’re always alone now, and you were never alone,’” Lizzo told Women’s Health. “I was like, ‘I’m good. I don’t need anybody. I’m here to see you.’ And she was like, ‘I love this healed version.’”
Lizzo said her transformation began after meeting a Tibetan monk in Bali in August 2024. The encounter helped her shift her mindset and stop relying on external validation.
“He was like, ‘You worry too much about other people. You need to trust yourself. You need to tell yourself you are incredible, prioritize your ideas, and don’t let someone tell you they know what’s best for you more than you.’ After talking to him, I had this clarity; nothing could shake me anymore,” she said.
The two artists have maintained a close friendship since touring together in 2013. Their bond deepened after a spontaneous trip to Lake Michigan, where they spent time unwinding.
“And then we just got drunk and hung out, and we kept doing that, and then our lives and careers progressed, and we kept talking and hanging out,” SZA told Interview Magazine last month.
Their creative chemistry also extends to music.
Lizzo and SZA previously teamed up on a remix of Lizzo’s 2022 track “Special,” and SZA recently hinted that another joint project is on the horizon.
Here we go again. Clipse drops a classic, but they keep talking about Kanye.
Pusha T and Kanye West at odds. Their friendship took center stage yet again during the promo blitz for Clipse’s long-awaited comeback album Let God Sort Em Out. In a raw interview with Complex, rapper addressed a leaked text message. We know now that it likely came from Ye.
In the messages, Push allegedly said, “U let Drake disrespect you, your wife, and your family… that’s why u can’t get your wife to respect u.” This was deep stuff.
But the VA don let it be known that he’s not that sort of person to leak texts.
“Some more other corny sh#t. You ain’t ever see it from me. I don’t leak nothin’, I don’t tell nothin, I ain’t ever done it man. You got to ask the guys who do that,” he said. “Oh, I know exactly who leaked it,” he added. “But they have to have nothing else moving or shaking. They need to do something. I don’t have to leak anything, man. You know, people crazy.”
Let God Sort Em Out is the Clipse’s first album in over 15 years and many regard it as the best album this year. Throughout the project, Pusha jabs at Kanye. Their creative bond might’ve given us some iconic moments in modern Hip-Hop, but the friendship has sunk.
Donald Trump called for unity among his supporters as tensions rose over the Department of Justice’s release of Jeffrey Epstein-related files and criticism of former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Speaking directly to the MAGA base, Trump defended Bondi’s performance and dismissed the renewed focus on Epstein as a distraction.
“They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a fantastic job. We’re on one team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. He added, “LET PAM BONDI DO HER JOB — SHE’S GREAT!”
The backlash against Bondi came from some conservative commentators and MAGA-aligned figures who accused her of not pursuing conspiracy theories tied to Epstein’s death and alleged client list.
Trump pushed back, claiming the controversy was being driven by political enemies. He blamed the uproar on documents “written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals of the Biden administration.”
“They created the Epstein Files, just like they created the FAKE Hillary Clinton/Christopher Steele Dossier that they used on me, and now my so-called “friends” are playing right into their hands,” Donald Trump fumed. “Why didn’t these Radical Left Lunatics release the Epstein Files? If there was ANYTHING in there that could have hurt the MAGA Movement, why didn’t they use it?”
The internal conflict among Trump supporters escalated after the DOJ released a report concluding that Epstein died by suicide and that no secret client list existed.
The agency reviewed over 300 gigabytes of material, including 10,000 videos and 4,000 images, but found no evidence of additional crimes beyond those known to be committed by Epstein.
A Wired investigation raised eyebrows after revealing the DOJ’s “raw” surveillance footage from Epstein’s cell had been edited from multiple clips.
While experts said the editing didn’t necessarily indicate wrongdoing, it added fuel to conspiracy theories.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez weighed in on the MAGA infighting, writing, “Wow who would have thought that electing a rapist would have complicated the release of the Epstein Files?”
Wow who would have thought that electing a rapist would have complicated the release of the Epstein Files?
Others pointed to Elon Musk’s claim that Trump appears in the files as the real reason they have not been made public.
Meanwhile, Trump’s still out here trying to keep the MAGA squad from eating itself alive.
“One year ago our Country was DEAD, now it’s the ‘HOTTEST’ Country anywhere in the World,” he posted. “Let’s keep it that way, and not waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about.”
Pharrell Williams received France’s highest civilian distinction on July 13, 2025, earning the title of Knight of the Legion of Honor for his influence in music, fashion and design.
The honor, created by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802, is awarded to individuals—French or foreign—who have made exceptional contributions to the country.
The French government announced the accolade one day before Bastille Day, the nation’s annual celebration of liberty and revolution.
His collaborations with French institutions span two decades and include partnerships in fashion, fragrance, music and fine dining.
The Virginia native first teamed up with Louis Vuitton in 2005, designing the Millionaire sunglasses. That relationship evolved into a leadership role at the fashion house, where he now oversees the menswear division.
His musical ties to France run deep, most notably through his chart-topping collaboration with electronic duo Daft Punk on “Get Lucky.”
Pharrell Williams recently produced and executive produced the new Clipse album Let God Sort Em Out, which was recorded primarily at Louis Vuitton’s Paris headquarters. The project dropped on July 11 to widespread acclaim.
The Legion of Honor is awarded by the President of France, typically based on recommendations from government officials.
It is one of the most prestigious recognitions in the country, reserved for those whose work has had a significant impact on French society or its global image.
Bhad Bhabie lit up social media with a profanity-filled tirade accusing her mother, Barbara Bregoli, of leaking a lawsuit story involving a $674,452.40 credit card debt to the press in what she claims was a deliberate attempt to ruin her image.
The 22-year-old rapper went live on Instagram Saturday (July 12) to address reports that American Express had filed a lawsuit against her for unpaid credit card debt.
She denied the debt and pointed the finger squarely at her mother for spreading the story.
“My mom did that!” she yelled during the livestream, claiming she had just purchased another home and wouldn’t have been able to do so if she owed that kind of money.
She also said she was never served with any legal documents and insisted there was no active case.
Bhad Bhabie didn’t hold back, accusing her mother of trying to publicly humiliate her and sabotage her career. She alleged Barbara was feeding blogs and tabloids with false information and even implied she stole a $75,000 necklace.
“B#### you are so f###### miserable,” she said, adding that she had once offered to pay for her mother to receive mental health treatment.
The rapper also claimed her mother gave birth to her in an attempt to keep a man, who later left, and that Barbara had taken out her frustrations on her daughter for more than two decades.
Earlier this week, Bhabie posted a message on Instagram Stories calling her mother out again.
“I bought you a million dollar house, you have 2 Benz’s, one Bentley. You still on payroll,” she wrote. “STAY OUT OF MY LIFE, an stop harassing me an my friends and stop spreading false stories to the media outlets because your mad.”
She ended the post by telling her mother to move on. “Please STay out of my life Barbara,” she wrote.
This isn’t the first time Bhad Bhabie has gone public with accusations against her mother.
She previously posted, then deleted, a video showing the two in a heated physical altercation. She’s also accused Barbara’s boyfriend of abuse and claimed she was molested for three years by two individuals, including him.
