Sir The Baptist Talks About Ghetto Gospel, Being The Preachers Kid, Creflo Dollar And More (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) AllHipHop.com recently sat down with upcoming Chicago lyricist Sir The Baptist for an interview, where the MC discusses everything from his upbringing as a preacher’s child, to his gospel music style, Creflo Dollar and much more.

The “ghetto gospel” MC made headlines after his appearance at Lollapalooza in Chicago, in which the socially conscious lyricist sang from a casket and preached atop a church pew, while addressing issues plaguing his hometown of Chicago and cities nationwide.

A preacher’s child, the rapper takes the gospel sound and puts his own spin on it, making it directly relevant to many of the ills plaguing the secular world.

“I think if they’re more honest and straight forward then when they get caught in sex scandals for a pastor taking a picture of his penis and stuff like that when you get caught in that type of stuff its because you wasn’t a regular ni##a,” Sir The Baptist told AllHipHop.com. “Just be chill bro relax be yourself be who you are when you leave church, don’t pretend in church and that’s just my music man”

Check out the full interview, where Sir The Baptist provides some insight into his style of music and his take on controversial preachers being caught in questionable acts such as Creflo Dollar simultaneously.

Nipsey Hussle Shuts Down Breakup Reports With With Pregnant Girlfriend Lauren London

Recent reports have been suggesting that there is turmoil in the relationship of gangsta rapper Nipsey Hussle and his girlfriend, actress Lauren London.

The rumors grew more intense earlier this week, when trolls noticed Lauren didn’t have anything to say on social media on Neighborhood Nip’s born day, which was August 15.

Memphis Bleek Talks Signing Manolo Rose To His Warehouse Music Group (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Brooklyn rapper Memphis Bleek has now put on his executive hat as the CEO of Warehouse Music Group.

The label scored a big get with the signing of rising BK native Manolo Rose. Bleek spoke with Mikey T The Movie Star of Report Card Radio about the addition of the “Run Ricky Run” rhymer to his company.

“Me and his brother is real tight. Me and his family is real tight. So just seeing him doing his thing was eye-opening for me. I was happy for him, regardless if he was with me or not,” stated Bleek. “Then the situation presented itself to where I can assist in his career going to new heights.”

Long before there was a Warehouse Music Group, Bleek was part of the legendary Roc-A-Fella Records. He is still closely aligned with the Roc’s co-founder Jay Z and his current business Roc Nation.

“[Roc Nation] just puts the stamp on [Warehouse]. It solidifies it. It’s like us making a gadget and Apple putting their name on it,” expressed Bleek.

Trump Hedging His Bets Calls Race “Rigged”

In another permutation of what most would call a wild ride when it comes to Presidential campaigns, Donald Trump appears to be hedging his bets.

In a lowlight reel that most recently includes calling President Barack Obama the “Founder of Isis,” and indirectly suggesting violence by “Second Amendment People” towards Hillary Clinton, Trump has declared that the vote for the 2016 Presidential race will likely be “rigged” – and not in his favor.

Considering Trump just announced yet another top level campaign reshuffle, hiring Stephen Bannon of Breitbart News as his new chief executive, clearly “The Donald” believes any deterrent to victory doesn’t include him personally.

Nevertheless, as of yesterday’s polls, as per FiveThirtyEight, Clinton is projected to have a 88.3% chance of winning the presidency to Donald Trump’s meager 11.7%.

Given that many close to Trump, namely his daughter Ivanka Trump, and Republican Chris Christie, have been saying that Trump’s tendency to go off script with vituperative attacks and unfounded accusations have been destroying what could be a much more popular campaign, it’s interesting that Trump is calling foul so far ahead of November.

In Hip-Hop, there is a vast library of rhymes devoted to those who embark on a battle with a whole lot of sound and fury, only to start questioning the fairness of the game when faced with the possibility of failure.

Could there be a bit of that “haterade” in Trump’s “rigged” shade?

Whether it’s Clinton or Trump come November, we’d like to borrow a few verses from Mos Def and Talib Kweli to tie up exactly what it traditionally indicates when an individual as “huge” as Trump starts faulting the whole playing field so close to the finish line:

Hater Players (feat. Apani Emcee)

Yes..
Every day somebody ask me where all the real MC’s is at?/

I’m sick of the hater-players, bring on the regulators
With the flavors like a farm team f###### with the majors/…
You runnin your mouth, but don’t really know what you be talkin about
You should retire, get that complimentary watch, be out!/…
Order reverse your universe so your demise is first
Before your rise it gets worse/…
Beggin me – stop it hurts! – is what you say to me
Like that’s supposed to mean somethin?/….

Aiyyo, later for the hater-players
Yo-yo, yo-yo, later for these hater-players/….

The takeaway from the above?  If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, generally it’s not the pond that’s ‘fowl’.

The reason why the mixtape isn’t out is because of the photo that they wanted to use I didn’t like the photo and I know my fans wouldn’t like the photo as much as the photo that I’m gonna use. T.I. and Tiny’s Reps Debunk Divorce Rumors and Say The Couple’s “Good”

Rapper T.I.’s wife has dismissed reports the couple is divorcing.

The “Live Your Life” star and wife Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle, who wed in 2010, have become the subject of gossip suggesting they are heading for a split. The couple has remained quiet about the reports, but a representative for Tameka is now insisting there is no truth to them.

“Tameka Harris has read so much about her marriage in the past few weeks that it’s time to set the record straight and really educate everyone on the facts,” a statement from Tameka’s representative to Access Hollywood reads. “Certain blogs have ‘reported’ that she’s going to be a single mom, she’s getting a divorce, she has a new residence and everything in between.

“On behalf of Mrs. Harris this is the truth – Tameka and T.I. are good. They love each other and they have a beautiful family with 7 amazing children. For them it will always be family over everything.”

The couple welcomed a baby girl, named Heiress Harris, in May (16).

T.I. and Tameka are also parents to two sons, King and Major, while Tiny gave birth to a stillborn daughter, named Leyah, in 2007.

T.I. also has three children from previous relationships, while Tiny is mom to another girl from a past romance.

Drake’s ‘Views’ Becomes First 2016 Album To Reach Triple Platinum Status

(AllHipHop News) Drake has collected another platinum plaque. His recent album Views is now certified triple platinum.

A majority of those three million units came from streaming numbers. As of July, Views actually sold around 1.3 million copies.

With the shifting of music consumption to a more streaming based model, reaching 3x plat is still a major accomplishment. In fact, Views is the first album released this year to achieve that status.

Drake’s previous album Nothing Was The Same has been certified 3x platinum and Take Care is 4x platinum. His “mixtape” If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late currently sits at 2x platinum.

Views is up for Album Of The Year at the 2016 BET Hip-Hop Awards. The LP is a chart and sales smash, but it is also the worst reviewed project of Drake’s career.

Young Thug-Inspired Rapper Kyyngg Begs Birdman To Unblock Him On Instagram

Young Thug 2.0, rapper Kyyngg is a little bit bothered by the fact that Birdman blocked him on Instagram. The 21-year-old New Orleans rapper used the social network to ask his fans to send a message to Birdman to unblock him. Kyyngg said,

“Listen, I got a major problem this morning. I tried to click on, Birdman’s page and see what big homey been up to. And it was like my s**t said ‘blocked,’ like, I can’t click Bird’s page. So, I want all y’all ask Bird, just tell him Kyyngg want you to unblock him so he could, you know, show love and support, what he got going on? Tell that man unblock me, f**k all that! Big dawg, unblock me off that Instagram s**t!”

Maybe Birdman blocked Kyyngg because he was trying to do to Young Thug what Thug was trying to do to Lil’ Wayne. It also didn’t help that Kyyngg dropped a mixtape of the same name on the same day as Young Thug (‘Slime Season 3’). These rappers today. SMH.

Lil B Talks Being A Feminist & Recording For Frank Ocean’s ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ Album

(AllHipHop News) Lil B has been viewed by some as the epitome of Hip Hop’s decline and by others as a visionary of the digital age. Hate him or love him, The BasedGod has managed to remain relevant for this entire decade.

The West Coast representative recently spoke with Dazed. The interview featured Lil B discussing his participation in the feminist movement.

“I definitely see myself as as much a feminist as I can try to be. I know I’m not perfect, but I definitely feel the connection with women. I feel them,” said Lil B.

While the 27-year-old rapper has not released an official studio album since 2011’s I’m Gay (I’m Happy), he has logged in time working with Frank Ocean on the R&B singer’s forthcoming LP.

“Frank Ocean was amazing. He called me to come out and do some stuff for his album, Boys Don’t Cry, that’s coming out,” revealed Lil B. “Frank is amazing. He’s a beautiful man with a beautiful voice. He’s a very strong man, a very strong person. Anything that I can do to help him, I will.”

Lil B’s catalog also includes collaborations with Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, Vic Mensa, 9th Wonder, and more. But what does the Berkeley native think about critics that claim he is the “death of rap”?

“I feel. I’m a feeler and I love. I think of what people said about Albert Einstein. Especially in Albert’s time! That’s how I feel about it,” responded Lil B.

50 Cent Goes In On Producer L.T. Hutton Over B.M.F. Series

You can’t really win with 50 Cent. Either he is going to start some beef or he’s going to finish it.

50 recently went at producer L.T. Hutton over allegedly running his mouth about the fact that 50 Cent is doing a B.M.F. series.

Apparently L.T. acquired the film rights to the story a few years back and he is not happy about 50 doing anything around the story.

50 Cent took to Instagram to express his frustration with the producer.

“This MC Hammer looking ass ni**a EF Dutton running around talking crazy, Because I’m doing the BMF series. Now you know you gotta say all that when you see me. I don’t want to hear nothing, I’ll run into you. THAT WAS NOT A GOOD IDEA!”

Drama certainly has a way of “finding” 50 Cent. Remember L.T. Hutton is also one of the producers on the Tupac biopic, ‘All Eyez On Me’ Do you think the film will do Pac justice?

Lil Poopy Signs Major Label Deal; Heading To Lifetime’s “The Rap Game”

(AllHipHop News) After years of grinding, performing and dropping several viral videos, 13-year-old Boston rapper Lil Poopy has inked a major-label record deal.

Lil Poopy has signed a four year agreement with Epic/Sony, and is in the studio working on his new album now.

Lil Poopy shot to fame in 2013, after a video titled “Lil Poopy getting it in” caused outrage caused it featured the then nine-year-old in sexually suggestive situations with women in a nightclub.

The road to Poopy’s record deal was a bit bumpy.

Brockton police filed a child abuse complaint against his father Luis Rivera over “Lil Poopy getting it in” and other videos showing the child rapping rapping about cocaine and guns.

Luis Rivera was ultimately cleared of any abuse or neglect by The Department of Children and Families.

In June, Lil Poopy’s father/manager Luis Rivera was arrested in Boston as part of a 14-month investigation of high ranking gang members.

None of the snags have been able to stop Lil Poopy from breaking through.

“All of the older people – older friends – always underestimated me,” Lil Poopy told The Enterprise. “They like me now. I just want them to know that I’m coming for the top. They better be ready.”

Lil Poopy will also be featured on Season 3 of Lifetime’s Hip-Hop show with Hip-Hop mogul Jermaine Dupri, titled “The Rap Game.”
