Young Thug Scores Big Win With Judge’s Removal From YSL RICO Trial

Judge Rachel Krause granted Young Thug’s motion to disqualify/recuse Judge Ural Glanville from the YSL RICO trial on Monday (July 15). Krause ruled in favor of the rapper and his co-defendants despite the defense questioning her impartiality.

“This Court has no doubt that Judge Glanville can and would continue presiding fairly over this matter if the recusal motions were denied, but the ‘necessity of preserving the public’s confidence in the judicial system’ weighs in favor of excusing Judge Glanville from further handling of this case,” Krause ruled.

Glanville was removed from the case a month after a courtroom showdown with Young Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel. Glanville created controversy by privately meeting with prosecutors and key witness Kenneth “Lil Woody” Copeland during the trial. Steel learned about the meeting and confronted Glanville in court.

Steel was held in contempt of court and sentenced to jail time for refusing to reveal the source of his information. The legal clash derailed the RICO trial as lawyers fought Steel’s contempt charge and requested Glanville’s recusal.

Glanville refused to recuse himself before allowing another judge to decide on whether he should exit Young Thug’s case. Krause was tasked with the decision.

The defense filed a motion seeking Krause’s recusal based on Glanville donating to her re-election campaign. Krause rejected the motion on July 9. A week later, Krause showed no bias toward Glanville by ordering his recusal.

“It is worth noting that this Court agrees generally with Judge Glanville’s assessment of the propriety of the ex parte meeting,” Krause wrote. “While the meeting could have – and perhaps should have – taken place in open court, nothing about the fact of the meeting or the substance discussed was inherently improper.”

She continued, “However, in his order denying Defendant Kendrick’s motion and in the process of making his record on July 1, 2024, Judge Glanville added facts, provided context, questioned the veracity of allegations, and otherwise explained his decisions and actions and argued why those actions were proper. While it ‘may be appropriate for the judge to disclose information relevant to his potential recusal,’ such a ‘disclosure must be made in a way that is as objective, dispassionate, and non-argumentative as possible, so that the judge is not reasonably perceived as a hostile witness or advocate.’”

Krause’s ruling added another wrinkle to Young Thug’s convoluted case. His slow-moving trial began in 2023. It is already the longest trial in Georgia history.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Remains Song Of Summer With Another Week At No. 1

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” reclaimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. “Not Like Us” jumped from No. 3 to No. 1 not long after K. Dot released a music video for the Drake diss track.

“Not Like Us” returned to the top of the Hot 100 with 53.8 million streams, 40 million radio airplay audience impressions and around 8,000 copies sold in the U.S. for the week of July 5-11. Kendrick’s single generated over 50 million streams for a fifth week, the most for any song in 2024.

Kendrick dropped “Not Like Us” in May. The track debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100. It was the fourth No. 1 song of K. Dot’s career. He previously scored chart-topping hits with “Humble,” his Taylor Swift collaboration “Bad Blood” and guest appearance on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” which ignited the Pulitzer Prize winner’s battle with Drake.

“Not Like Us” is widely perceived as the knockout blow in Kendrick Lamar’s beef with Drake. The two rivals traded diss tracks before “Not Like Us” transcended the battle in a way few rap disses do.

Kendrick Lamar ruthlessly attacked Drake on previous disses such as “euphoria” and “Meet the Grahams,” but the catchiness of “Not Like Us” captured the public’s attention in a completely different way. The DJ Mustard-produced hit crossed over despite lyrics accusing Drake of pedophilia and predatory behavior.

Drake responded to Kendrick Lamar with “The Heart Part 6,” but the Canadian star’s retort did nothing to quell the enthusiasm for “Not Like Us.” Kendrick’s diss became a pop culture phenomenon, solidifying itself as the song of summer.

KendrickLamar added insult to injury by performing “Not Like Us” multiple times at “The Pop Out: Ken & Friends” concert in Los Angeles on Juneteenth. He released the song’s music video on July 4. The video had more than 56 million YouTube views as of July 15.

Jacquees Engaged To Deion Sanders’ Pregnant Daughter: Couple Says It Took “Courage”

Jacquees proposed to Deiondra Sanders, the daughter of Pro Football Hall of Famer and Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders. Deiondra, who is pregnant with Jacquees’ child, celebrated their engagement on Monday (July 15).

“Baby momma who?” she wrote on Instagram. “lol Nah for real tho. We done came a long way in such a short amount of time. #NoOneButGod. This speech was everything. Reassurance and showed me you do be paying attention. I am so ecstatic. I was not expecting this at all. I don’t even gotta say much cause we both know what’s up. I know this took a lot of courage, honesty, letting go of fear, epic nerve and self assurance. I am so proud of you and I will be here every step of the way to help you become the man God intended you to be.”

Jacquees reflected on his relationship with Deiondra in a lengthy post on Instagram. He disclosed his struggles with alcoholism and praised his fiancée for her positive impact on his life.

“A lot of people don’t know you really saved my life,” he wrote. “I was an alcoholic for years. I didn’t realize it. I was fighting it, a hard battle but I always knew I could do it if I wanted to but I need a little more motivation … So on March 3, 2024, I quit drinking. I knew you believed in me. And nobody else couldn’t fix me … I haven’t drank liquor in 4 months and the last 4 month months have been incredible. They haven’t been perfect. But they have been incredible in my life. I’ve made a complete 360 and you’ve had everything to do with that.”

Jacquees and Deiondra announced the latter’s pregnancy in March. The couple held a gender reveal party in May. The two are having a baby boy.

Snoop Dogg Reveals Tupac Shakur Passed Him His First Blunt

The Tupac Shakur strain was produced by Snoop Dogg’s Death Row Cannabis brand, launched in 2023. The occasion was something of a full-circle moment for the longtime pot smoker. During Tupac’s posthumous induction to the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2017, Snoop recalled Shakur passing him his first ever blunt.

“I finally got a chance to meet Pac in 1993 at a wrap party for Poetic Justice in LA,” he shared. On that night, Pac passed me my first blunt. That’s right. Tupac is the one that got Snoop Dogg smoking blunts.”

According to Forbes, the exclusive Tupack Shakur line will be available for purchase in select California dispensaries by Friday (July 19). A further rollout is then planned for release in Michigan later this year.

Snoop Dogg is one of Hip-Hop’s most well-known pot smokers. He previously revealed he even lit up at the White House. The security of the building was no match for Snoop, who snuck off to the bathroom while at a celebration for Herbie Hancock.

“I look around, check the surroundings, make sure there ain’t no CIA around,” Snoop recalled in a 2016 interview with Heather B on SiriusXM. “Light up some tissue, just to see if anything gonna happen, tissue works. Boom. Next thing I do is pull that thing out of my sock.”

Snoop took a few tokes before hearing somebody approaching. “Put him out real quick and got on out to the party,” he added.

Plies Questions Why Donald Trump “Disappeared” Following Assassination Attempt

Plies is apparently feeling skeptical following the alleged assassination attempt on Donald Trump over the weekend. On Monday (July 15), Plies took to social media to ask some questions following the Saturday (July 13) shooting.

Numerous baseless conspiracy theories have swirled online, with some netizens claiming the entire incident was staged. In his post, Plies questioned why Trump’s physician hasn’t made a public statement about his injuries.

“Trump, MAGA, The Media & Republicans Are The ONLY People Saying Trump Was Shot!!!” Plies began. “It’s Been 48hrs. Where Is The Doctor That Treated Him & Confirmed His Shooting? The Shooter Has Been Confirmed. The Innocent Bystander Deceased Confirmed. Everything Confirmed But Him Being Shot!”

Plies also questioned why Donald Trump is not courting media attention like the rapper expected him to do in the wake of the incident.

“No Way In Hell A Guy Who Loves Attention Like Trump Would Go Back In Hiding After So Called Being Shot!” he added. “He’d Be Playing In Front The Camera Every Second He Could. He Disappeared After The Debate, Disappeared After Shooting. He Disappears When He Feel The Media Doing His Bidding!!”

X/Plies

In the chaos that followed the attempted assassination, reports surfaced that Trump was not grazed by a bullet but instead was cut by a piece of glass from his shattered teleprompter.

However, those reports went unconfirmed, and Trump later said he was “shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear.”

The 20-year-old suspect, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was killed by a Secret Service sniper at the scene. One bystander was killed by bullets that missed Trump, while two others were critically injured.

On Sunday (July 14), Kodak Black warned Plies not to “slander” Donald Trump, telling him, “Fall back, love ’cause s### can get mafioso, boy.”

Ma$e Felt “Disrespected” By J Prince Over Shakur Stevenson Spat

Ma$e and Cam’ron addressed J Prince on the latest episode of their podcast after the music exec called the duo out over their criticism of Shakur Stevenson whom Prince claims to manage.

After Prince warned them off via an Instagram post, Ma$e fired back on their It Is What It Is podcast on Monday morning (July 14).

A post shared by J Prince (@jprincerespect)

“Since you’re the Big Homie we starting with you,” Ma$e began, addressing J Prince. “You are so lacking self-awareness. When you give such a lackluster performance and then you think you can make threats to people because you gave a lackluster performance, you don’t have the right to tell me what I should like or to tell Cam what he should like.”

Ma$e went on, claiming “art is subjective,” so nobody should be mad over their opinion, and continued his criticism of Stevenson’s tactical style.

“We not your little n#####,” Ma$e declared. “The way you talking, I don’t get what you mean. We’re not your little n#####. For real all that big homie stuff that’s for little n#####. Little n##### have big homies. We’re not little n#####, so we don’t even respect big homies. I know killer doesn’t, and for me I never respected n##### in the streets. That’s why I always got the problems I got.”

Ma$e added that he wants to “respect” J Prince but can’t because of how he was raised. “If you’re 60 years old and you trying to be a street n####, you failed,” he added. “I’m telling you this. My name is Mace. I stand by this.”

J Prince Warns Cam’ron And Ma$e

On Sunday (July 14) J Prince called out Cam’ron and Ma$e telling the duo “I will fade all [of Shakur Stevenson] shots and take all bets.”

However, Ma$e was baffled by J Prince’s approach after recently speaking to J Prince while on Facetime with Kanye West.

“I don’t even know why he would come at me with that energy,” Ma$e said. “I felt really disrespected by him doing it. It’s certain people you supposed to come at like that and I’m not one of them.”

Lil Wayne Fans Divided After He Raps Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us”

Lil Wayne caused a stir online after a clip circulated of Weezy rapping the lyrics from Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” despite his ties to Drake.

In the snippet, Wayne appears to say the titular line during a recent performance. However, he held up his “OVO” pendant as he did so, seemingly confirming where his allegiance lies.

Nonetheless, the clip had social media users divided, with some claiming Lil Wayne hinted at bad blood with Drake. Fans were split in the AllHipHop comment section on Instagram, with users providing various explanations.

“Good get on the drake hate train,” one person wrote, while another suggested, “Seems like he is not picking a side.”

Others noted the significance of Wayne repping Drake’s OVO brand while spitting the “Not Like Us” lyrics.

“He was letting them know they NOT LIKE YoungMoney/OVO that’s why he holding the chain! Y’all can’t be this slow man,” another commenter replied.

A fourth person said, “Sounds like he said “they don’t like us” while showing the OVO chain.”

Lil Wayne remained silent during Drake’s battle with Kendrick Lamar and appeared to remain neutral. When asked to perform his K. Dot collab “Mona Lisa” last month, Wayne declined, although not out of loyalty to his fellow Young Money member.

“Do you know how hard that f###### song is, girl? You know what I mean?” Wayne said, highlighting the difficulty of performing the song live. “I don’t like to rap the words, but I’m going to learn that s###. I’m going to learn it. I’m going to learn. I got you.”

Wiz Khalifa Apologizes For “Disrespect” After Romania Pot Arrest

Wiz Khalifa may have been carted off by cops after lighting up on stage in Romania, but the rapper bears no ill will to the country and accepted responsibility for breaking their laws.

The Kush & Orange Juice creator was reportedly released on Sunday (July 14), following his arrest a day prior at the Beach Please! Festival. He took to social media after his release to apologize for his actions and promised to return.

“Last nights show was amazing. I didn’t mean any disrespect to the country of Romania by lighting up on stage,” Wiz Khalifa wrote on X (Twitter.) “They were very respectful and let me go. I’ll be back soon. But without a big ass joint next time.”

Footage from the festival showed cops hauling the rapper offstage after he allegedly smoked a joint.

According to local news reports, Wiz was busted with over 18 grams of cannabis. The local Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) confirmed the star had been charged with “illegal possession of high-risk drugs” in a press release.

“During a performance at a music festival held in the resort of Costinesti, the accused was found to have possessed more than 18 grams of cannabis and to have consumed (on stage) another quantity in the form of a handmade cigarette,” the statement read.

While Wiz Khalifa vowed to leave his weed behind the next time he returns to Romania, he’s previously confessed to a 30-joint-a-day habit.

While he’s a long time weed smoker, Wiz revealed he finally quit drinking in 2023. “I completely stopped [drinking] and I just do shrooms and smoke weed now,” he said during an interview last October. “It’s been going really good.”

Cam’ron & Ma$e Fire Back At J Prince Over Shakur Stevenson Warning

J Prince is speaking out on behalf of boxer Shakur Stevenson, calling out Cam’ron and Ma$e over their reaction to his last fight.

On Sunday (July 14) the music exec took to Instagram, announcing he is Stevenson’s manager and blasting critics who call him a “boring” fighter. He shared a post from veteran boxing journalist Keith Idec reporting that Stevenson vs. Harutyunyan was “the most-watched boxing main event ESPN aired in 2024.”

“NUMBERS DONT LIE HATERS DO,” J Prince began. “Let the haters say that he’s boring and nobody wants to watch him. Sorry to tell you it’s just a select few of you haters. As you can see there’s proof that he has the number one ratings in any fight on ESPN this year and the top three ratings since 2022.”

Prince then addressed Cam’ron and Ma$e directly, warning them he’s got Stevenson’s back.

“And to all of you haters who want to escalate that hate outside of the ring I’m Shakur’s manager and I handle all his business outside of the ring. In other words Cam and Mase I will fade all his shots and take all bets,” he added.

J Prince tagged the Instagram account for Cam’ron and Ma$e’s It What It Is podcast, which quickly fired back. They posted a clip featuring Top Rank’s Bob Arum claiming Stevenson doesn’t attract hundreds of thousands of viewers because of his fight style.

Cam’ron & Ma$e Respond To J Prince

“THE FIGHT WAS “FREE 99” SO YEA #’s DO LIE SOME TIMES,” the caption read. “N##### MAD AT US FOR SAYING WHAT EVERYBODY ELSE SAYING INCLUDING THE PEOPLE WHO #SHAKUR WAS SIGNED TO ‘FOH.’”

Additionally, The Is What It Is podcast doubled down with a clip of Cam’ron and Ma$e criticizing Stevenson on the podcast.

Cam previously threatened to “slap fire” out of the boxer after a social media back and forth. Stevenson trolled the pair, joking he would drop a diss track.

Kodak Black Warns Plies To Stop Slandering Donald Trump: “Fall Back”

Kodak Black is going off on Plies for his Donald Trump “slander” following the alleged assassination attempt. On Sunday (July 14), the Pompano Beach native took to Instagram Live to warn his fellow Florida rapper.

“We ain’t gon’ for no Trump slander, bruh,” he said. “You gotta get off that s### Plies. Trump ain’t did nuthin’ to you, you feel me? You rich, bruh, we rich. Fall back, love ’cause s### can get mafioso, boy.”

While Kodak Black is an avid Donald Trump supporter, Plies has been very vocal about his disdain for the former president. He made several posts following the shooting on Saturday (July 13), including a video of Trump’s reaction to the brutal attack on Nancy Pelosi’s husband in 2022.

“It’s Hard To Feel Sorry For A Bully!!! It Really Is!!! Especially A Nasty One!! God Is Real!!” Plies wrote alongside the clip. “If U Had No Heart & Empathy When Came To All The School Shootings, The Church Shooting In Charleston (Dylann Roof), The White Supremacy Attacks In Charlottesville, The Insurrection On The Capitol, & The Attack On Paul Pelosi. How Do U Just Get A Heart & Empathy Now???”

Plies also urged Joe Biden to push on with his campaign for re-election in the 2024 presidential race.

“Dear  @JoeBiden U’d Be Damn Fool To Slow Down Your Campaign!” Plies wrote. “Use This Moment To Push The Agenda U Been Pushing Banning Assault Rifles & Gun Violence Etc. Chaos Vs A Steady Hand! Can’t Run On Hate & Act Surprise When It Happens! Unify The Country & Show What Leadership Looks Like!”

It’s no surprise Kodak Black is calling out Plies over his boy, Donald Trump. Trump pardoned the rapper in 2021 while he was doing a four-year bid on a federal gun charge.

PROF Blows Roof Off Denver’s Mission Ballroom Hours After Dropping “Pain Salesmen”

Minneapolis-bred artist PROF is mid-tour and just made a stop with Yelawolf and new Slumerican signee Cowboy Killer on Friday (July 12) at Denver’s Mission Ballroom, where he put on what he believes was one of his “top five shows of all time.” Mere hours before, he dropped another new single called “Pain Salesmen” featuring rapper/producer Ren.

“I’m just grinding like I’m told,” PROF sings. “I’m just trying to sell my soul/It goes on and on it goes/It goes on and on it goes/We been fighting, running for some time now/Should we kill somebody? It’s time to find out.” From there, he appears to confront his own mental health.

“Yeah, I’ve been a well behaved artist,” he continues. “I’ve been selling my soul/I’ve been prostituting my losses/Been rocking that roll/I’ve been cranking that soldier boy/Boy, I’m hitting that road/It’s been hard to find happy/I’m clinging, I’m hitting that note/I been all out of dreams, you can’t say I didn’t try/Pains guaranteed, do you want to hurt by my side?”

PROF’s versatility as an artist continues to astound both day-one and new fans. His singing prowess combined with his stage presence and innate rhyming skills make him bona fide triple threat. In a recent interview with AllHipHop, he opened up about his split from his former label, Rhymesayers Entertainment, and how he was almost the victim of cancel culture due to a string of old tweets deemed “offensive.”

“My neighborhood had burned down,” he said in May. “We were going through a lot. My house was right next to the precinct that got pulled into all that George Floyd s### in 2020. I lived right there, so my backyard filled with ash. I had to leave my house in the middle of the night because we thought it was going to start on fire. So all these protests I’m involved with people everywhere and there was a Blackhawk helicopter above my house for four months straight and it ain’t no normal helicopter—it shakes everything.

“Meanwhile, I’m doing work, thinking about what it is to be a white man, born and raised in Minneapolis. What are my Black friends doing? How are they, have I made any mistakes in my life? I’m analyzing my race, accountability for who I am as a white man and where I was born and I’m just going through a lot of s###, not sleeping. And then boom, just weeks later, I’m getting canceled. I had such a hard time getting press, but when I was getting canceled, that s### was all over.”

Cam’ron Reacts To News Of Dwyane Wade’s Idea To Create Nail Care Line—Gets Dragged For Murse

Cam’ron is getting trolled for his reaction to news of Dwyane Wade’s desire to start a nail care line during a recent episode his show It Is What It Is.

Either Cam’ron Was eager to complete filming or truly frustrated by the final topic of discussion, judging by how he literally rage-quit toward the end of the latest episode. No matter the case, it’s obvious that D-Wade’s recent announcement about his planned, entrepreneurial journey with nail care products set the “Purple Haze” rapper off, causing him to storm off the set of the show.

”You do this everyday, you always do some wild s##t,” Cam’ron said while ripping off his microphone pack when asked about D-Wade’s nail care line.

”Oh my goodness,” Ma$e added. “Yo Stat [Baby] telling us not the nail care.”

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by AllHipHop (@allhiphopcom)

While Killa Cam’s frustration was clearly very real, he was essentially turned into rotisserie chicken over his reaction in the comments section of that AllHipHop post on Instagram with the video of the outburst.

“Cam being mad at this and walking off with a pink purse is wild af im confused,” one IG user wrote while another added, “As he walks off with a damn purse. They need to get over this stuff lol it don’t effect you at all what another grown man chooses to do with his money time and life. All this for clicks.”

Another user trolled Cam’ron, writing, “Then he walks off with a purple haze purse smh.”

One user even referenced Killa Cam’s history of rage quitting by rehashing his behavior during the infamous Dipset Verzus.

“Samething he did during the versus battle lmao just left his set to burn by the hands of Alqueda jada lmao,” the user wrote.

During a recent interview, D-Wade revealed that one of his favorite pastimes is painting he and his daughter’s nails, which he said gives them time to connect. He then went on to reveal he was planning on “exploring” the idea of creating a nail care line.

“I actually thinking about jumping into the nail line… Yeah, I’ve been thinking about it. Like I’ve been in it so long. And I’m like, You know what, it could be a good time, but I got some cool ideas and I’m exploring. I’ve been having some conversations on my own about exploring,” Wade admitted.

This isn’t the first time Cam’ron and Mase have criticized D-Wade for his hobby painting his nails. In fact, both Cam’ron and Mase mocked Wade’s choice to paint his nails in a separate episode of It Is What It Is during which the former Bad Boy rapper found humor in Wade’s red and black nail polish by remarking that it was akin to “seeing [Michael] Jordan in lingerie.” Pause.

Check out Killa Cam’s full reaction above.

NFL Star Jacoby Jones Dead At 40: Bun B & More Mourn

Super Bowl champion Jacoby Jones has died at his home in Houston. His passing was announced on Sunday (July 14), but a cause of death wasn’t revealed when. He was 40.

The NFL star, drafted in 2007, showcased his talents with the Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens, Los Angeles Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers.

He also appeared on season 16 of the US version of “Dancing With the Stars,” where he placed third. Jones’ career shined during his time in Baltimore.

In 2013, he made history with a record-breaking 108-yard kick return touchdown in Super Bowl XLVII, the longest in Super Bowl history, leading the Ravens to a 34-31 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

Following his retirement in 2017, Jones returned to his former college, Lane College, as a football coach. He joined the coaching staff at Alabama State in 2022. In the wake of the tragic news, NFL players and fans have taken to social media to pay tribute.

“Can’t lie. This one really hurt. Just finished hearing the good word and got the call. Prayed for him and his family, former teammates, friends and fans,” Bun B said. “I knew the player and the person. As an athlete, he was a top tier teammate and player who tried to leave it all of the field.

“His emotion was a testament to his love for the game. As a person, he was the life of the party. Full of infectious energy and always smiling and/or laughing when you saw him. Such a loss. You’re gonna be deeply missed my brother. Rest In Peace.”

The Baltimore Ravens issued a statement expressing their sorrow.

“We are completely heartbroken to learn about the passing of Jacoby Jones. Jacoby had the unique ability to connect with everyone he encountered. His charisma, joy and love created a one-of-a-kind presence that could light up any room or brighten any dark day,” the statement read.

“We share our deepest condolences with Jacoby’s family as we all begin to process this devastating loss.”

50 Cent Performs In Front Of Donald Trump “Get Rich Or Die Tryin'” Meme Hours After Shooting

50 Cent took his love of trolling to a whole other level on Saturday night (July 13). Hours after Donald Trump was reportedly shot in the ear at a Pennsylvania rally, a meme of 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’ album cover featuring Trump’s head on the rapper’s body started making the rounds.

During 50 Cent’s show in Boston, he decided to perform “Many Men (Wish Death)” with a giant version of the meme as his backdrop. The performance caught so many people’s attention that he became a trending Twitter (X) topic on Sunday (July 14).

50 Cent commented, “Trump got shot and now I’m trending.” He added a shrug emoji at the end to illustrate he was just as confused as other people.

Donald Trump appeared to be a victim of an assassination attempt during his rally speech. 50 Cent, always quick to comment on current topics, hopped on Instagram and shared his thoughts on the incident, writing, “I know the vibes. We are all in trouble now.” The post was accompanied by the now-viral photo of Trump’s fist in the air and blood coming from his ear.

President Joe Biden weighed in on the shooting from his home in Delaware. He wrote in a statement, “I have been briefed on the shooting at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania,” Biden wrote. “I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information.

“Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it.”

Former First Lady Melania Trump also thanked law enforcement for their intervention. As she wrote on social media, “When I watched that violent bullet strike my husband, Donald, I realized my life, and Barron’s life, were on the brink of devastating change. I am grateful to the brave secret service agents and law enforcement officials who risked their own lives to protect my husband.

“Let us not forget that differing opinions, policy, and political games are inferior to love. Our personal, structural, and life commitment — until death — is at serious risk. Political concepts are simple when compared to us, human beings.”

Meanwhile, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) identified the shooter as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, a registered Republican. Crooks, a resident of nearby Bethel County, was shot and killed by Secret Service agents just moments after he fired into the crowd.

Missy Elliott Was Always Too Busy To Tour With Ciara But Persistence Paid Off

Missy Elliott’s “Out of This World—The Missy Elliott Experience” tour commenced with a burst of energy on July 4 in Vancouver, Canada.

The tour features various stars, including Ciara, Busta Rhymes, and Timbaland.

After numerous discussions with close collaborator Missy Elliott, Ciara’s vision of a joint tour finally materialized.

The Hip-Hop icon shared with People magazine that the tour had been a lengthy aspiration for both her and Ciara, who had persistently broached the subject.

“Ciara had been asking me and asking me,” Missy confessed. “I’d be like, ‘Okay,’ but then I’d always find myself in the studio doing something else.”

The partnership between Ciara and Missy Elliott is well-documented, with Missy featuring on Ciara’s early hits “1, 2 Step” and the 2009 track “Work.”

Likewise, Ciara’s contributions, alongside Fatman Scoop, to Missy’s 2005 classic “Lose Control” are celebrated moments in their illustrious careers.

“Missy has always been one of my greatest inspirations and like a big sister to me,” Ciara told People. “She is the definition of a true artist. She has always raised the bar to the highest level, and I feel so blessed that we have been able to share some of our biggest hits together.”

This tour, dubbed “Out of This World—The Missy Elliott Experience,” will tour across North America through July and August, concluding in Illinois on August 22.

Crooks’ voter registration card started making the rounds on social media shortly after the shooting, showing he was a registered Republican. The upcoming November election in which Trump is challenging President Joe Biden would have been the first time Crooks had been old enough to vote in a presidential race.

When Crooks was 17, he made a $15 donation to ActBlue, a political action committee that raises money for left-leaning and Democratic politicians, according to a 2021 Federal Election Commission filing. The donation was earmarked for the Progressive Turnout Project, a national group that rallies Democrats to vote.

Crooks’ father, Matthew Crooks, told CNN he was trying to figure out what happened and would wait until he spoke to law enforcement before speaking about his son. In Bethel Park, about an hour away from where the shooting occurred, the streets surrounding the Crooks’s home were blocked off by law enforcement authorities.

A graduation ceremony video cited by shows Crooks receiving his high school diploma to some applause. Video from that ceremony posted online shows Crooks with glasses in a black graduation gown and posing with a school official.

Law enforcement officials said Crooks carried no identification to the site of the shooting and had to be identified using other methods.

“We’re looking at photographs right now and we’re trying to run his DNA and get biometric confirmation,” Kevin Rojek, FBI special agent in charge, said at the time.

The rally, held in a packed outdoor venue, erupted into chaos on Saturday as Trump addressed his ardent supporters. Security personnel and Secret Service agents quickly intervened, evacuating Trump from the stage and transporting him to a nearby hospital—but not before he managed to throw his fist in the air and shout “fight, fight, fight.”

Brandy Puts Pressure On Monica After Ariana Grande’s Success

Brandy is pressing Monica to join her for a tour and residency after a harmonious reunion.

The R&B legends reunited for Ariana Grande’s remix of “The Boy Is Mine.”

The collaboration came over a decade after their last joint effort, “It All Belongs to Me,” and 26 years after their iconic 1998 release.

Brandy, 45, described their recent collaboration with Ariana Grande as “magical” and full of “beautiful energy.”

She conveyed her excitement to Extra, saying, “It was so magical. The energy between me and Monica was so beautiful. I loved working with her this time.”

Grande’s remix has breathed new life into a legendary R&B duet, demonstrating that the duo still possesses the allure that first captivated listeners decades ago.

Brandy expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, stating, “It was so great for [Ariana] to call us up to be a part of it. She didn’t have to do that… even though her song is called ‘The Boy Is Mine,’ she didn’t take anything from the original. She created a whole new song, so to call us up and for her to pay homage that way was just such a blessing.”

The revival of their musical chemistry has fueled Brandy’s ambitions for more collaborations with Monica.

She has been actively discussing future projects, including a potential tour and residency.

“I had a great time with Monica and I just want to do more with her in the future. I hit [Monica] up so much talking about all the things that we could do together – tour, residency, everything,” Brandy said, clearly excited by the prospects.

Their original duet, “The Boy Is Mine,” was a chart-topper internationally when it debuted in 1998, dominating the charts in countries like Canada, the Netherlands, and the United States.

The song’s enduring appeal has firmly established Brandy and Monica as R&B powerhouses.

Brandy’s enthusiasm for reuniting with Monica speaks volumes about their unique bond and their ability to create captivating music together. As she puts it, “I really want that, Monica!”
