Man, we all come from Africa, but that’s not going to help Snoop if the wrong Zulu gets p##### off!

MTV Base fell back fast.
MTV spokeswoman Alison Reid said:
“MTV Base apologizes if anyone was offended by Snoop wearing traditionalZulu garb on Saturday night. The outfit in question was a gift from a member of the Zulu royal family and a number of members of the royal family joined Snoop on stage. We believe that his homage to Zulu culture was received positively by all concerned, including the royal family.”
Well,at least he got the outfit from the royal family, but that won’t help if somebody on the come up decides Snoop Lion is getting to familiar. Some people don’t care about that top level co-sign. You gotta build with the streets! This isn’t the first time Snoop has crossed cultural boundaries and gotten in trouble. He upset Bob Marley’s family when he changed up to be a Rasta.
I don’t know. As long as he don’t change up to be Snoopy Zulu, we good.

The new arrest for Chief Keef could be a real live challenge for the young BUCK. Why? I am hearing that the new arrest on weed is a violation to probation or parole or whatever he’s on. Word on the street is he may have to do more time. I also heard that these antics are rapidly wearing thin at the label level. If he continues to get knocked, he’ll definitely do a longer stretch in the bing. Wait til the money runs out…
Here is something on the positive side if you are looking for a bright spot in life.

This is in NYC so if you are around, show up. I’ve been informed its a dope event and a dope cause. Its definitely a favor I feel good about putting in the rumors on behalf of one of the AHH principals.

(AllHipHop News) Eulahlee Myers, the mother of the late Heavy D, has responded to the speculation as to who will run the legendary rapper’s estate.
Floyd, Heavy’s brother, filed legal documents that would make him the admin for the estate, an assertion rooted in an old will document. The will does not include Heavy D’s daughter Xea in it.
Eulahlee Myers says that the two brothers worked together for many years and that that legal documents are not fully explanatory.
“This close relationship continued through Heavy’s career and through their adulthood,” Myers said in a statement from her representative Rachel Noerdlinger. “The petition filed in the LA Courts is to sell a condominium that they owned together since 1998. California law requires a probate for the sale of the Real Property to clear the title when someone passes. The probate process is a formality that is required by the State of California and nothing more.”
She also said that anything that Heavy does have, including royalty checks, will go to his daughter.
“All of Heavy’s assets are going to his 13-year-old daughter Xea, including his Social Security, Pension, and future royalties. All of Heavy’s personal belongings are in storage for his daughter until she gets a bit older,” Myers continued.
The decision for Floyd to manage the affairs is not a beef, as promoted in various media outlets, she said.
“The family all wanted Floyd as that person to represent Dwight’s estate. The family has a great relationship with Xea and her mother and are all working diligently to raise Xea the way Heavy intended,” the statement finishes. “The Myers family is a close knit family and always will be. Just the way Heavy liked it….”
Heavy D, real name Dwight Errington Myers, died November 11, 2011 of a pulmonary embolism.
(AllHipHop News) “The Myers family is a close-knit family and always will be. Just the way Heavy liked it,” says Eulahlee Myers, mother of Dwight Myers better known as legendary rapper Heavy D.
Earlier this week reports began to circulate that Heavy’s brother, Floyd Myers, was seeking to take control of the rapper’s entire estate, but according Eulahlee, all of Heavy’s assets are going to his surviving daughter Xea.
In a statement issued to AllHipHop.com, Ms. Meyer says that 13-year-old Xea will obtain all money collected from her father’s social security, pension, and future royalties. Xea will also get all of Heavy’s personal belongings that are currently being held in storage.
As far as Floyd’s involvement with the estate, Eulahlee explains that the petition filed in the Los Angeles court in his name was to sell a condominium that both Heavy and Floyd owned together. A California law requires that this action be taken by a probate when a property owner passes.
Ms. Myers goes on to say:
Heavy’s Estate needs to be managed. It cannot be self-managed or self-administered and it has to be Court approved. Open bills, unfinished business, taxes and day to day decisions including future plans for his daughter all need be done. This management needs someone who is capable, smart, honest and close to this family. The family all wanted Floyd as that person to represent Dwight’s estate. This decision was made by Heavy’s mother Eulahlee, Heavy’s father Cliff and Heavy’s sister Portia. The family has a great relationship with Xea and her mother and are “all” working diligently to raise Xea the way Heavy intended.
Heavy D passed away in November of 2011 at the age of 44.

We’re all made in the image of God. Kanye West wants to be God.
Hip Hop has always been about braggadocio antics and ego, but believe it or not there is a ceiling to what people will approve of. Kanye West has walked that fine line and is about to step over it.
But is this really anything new? Rappers have been referring to themselves as things that they aren’t since the beginning. When you lie, you have to continue to create new lies to support the original lie. In hip hop, the titles and bragging have escalated from the dopest emcee, ambassador of a region, gangster, baller, don, killer, king of a region, king of hip hop, best to ever do it, Makaveli (Tupac), Hov (Jay-Z), a God, Rakim (a Five Percenter) and now Yeezus.
I’m not really shocked. The infatuation with Jesus has been with Kanye since he hit the mainstream with “Jesus Walks.” In ’06 Kanye said that he should be in a revised version of the Bible. He didn’t just liken himself to Jesus on the 2006 Rolling Stone cover, he posed as him – crown of thorns and all. And most recently of course the rumor that his new album would be titled ‘I Am God’ and then ‘I Am A God’, to finally the recent rumor/leak the title will actually be Yeezus.
You can call it art or metaphorical and lie to yourself all you want but Kanye is no different than the countless men in the past that have worshipped and created idols, or lied to themselves by thinking that they are equal to God or God himself. He is the furthest progression in hip hop toward thinking and/or trying to get others to think that he is the greatest ever. That progression naturally moves to blasphemy by putting himself on the highest level possible – God.
I would wager that Kanye is just creating a buzz for his new album and testing the waters to see if the masses would accept it, and end up changing the album title.
