SIGNS THE WORLD IS OVER…Woman Tats Drake On Forehead

DRAKE IS THE MAN…LOL…HE GOT PEOPLE GOING CRAY!

I saw this a couple of days ago and, it just took a minute to digest. Peep:

This woman, who is more or less pretty, must have lost her mind and never found it. I hope she doesn’t find it at this point, because if she does, her mind is never going to get over this. Vice Magazine broke the story and interviewed the tattoo artist and he was funny. Kevin Campbell told them, “I figured it was her hood or some sh*t, not some goofnugget R&B dude.” She thought she was a banger or something. She had to get her eyebrows shaved off and all that.

The tattoo artist should have said NO like the dude that tattooed that ice cream on Gucci Mane. SMH.

Another dude got Drizzy tatted on his chest, or breast.

Plies Issues Statement On Civil Verdict

(AllHipHop News) Fort Myers, Florida, rapper Plies discussed yesterday’s verdict against him in regards to a shooting that occurred in July of 2006.

Plies was hit with a civil lawsuit over the shooting, which occurred in a Gainesville, Florida nightclub during a dispute with a promoter over performance time.

Plies, born Algernod Lanier Washington, his brother Ronell “Big Gates” LeVatte and members of their entourage were accused of firing into the crowd and injuring at least seven people.

After an eight day trial, a jury deliberated for eight hours and ruled against Plies and his brother.

“People with guns who started a fight were the cause of this incident,” Plies told AllHipHop.com. “Obviously, I’m not happy that it happened as this caused a lot of concerns that I didn’t want or need. Unfortunately, people took this as an opportunity to try to attack me and make money that they did not deserve, rather than asking for fair compensation for their injuries.”

Plies was sentenced to probation over the shooting, while his brother was sent to prison for three years over the incident.

Although Plies was irritated by the entire ordeal, the rapper, his brother and his attorney were more than satisfied with the verdict.

The total amount of damages against Plies resulted in $35,705.00, while Big Gates’ total damages were $49,575.00.

The rapper and his brother also said they offered to pay each victims medical bills directly after the shooting, but the plaintiffs were “uncooperative.”

Plies’ attorney Robert A. Rush said that they had offered to settle for a much larger amount, prior to the $10 million lawsuit heading to trial.

“We offered the plaintiffs a much larger monetary amount than the final verdicts in an attempt to settle this case so as to avoid the litigation costs, attorneys’ fees, time needed to go to trial. However, the plaintiffs’ attorney Christopher Chestnut refused all offers we made,” stated Plies’ defense attorney, Robert A. Rush of the law firm of Rush & Glassman.

Big Gates was represented by Carl B. Schwait of the firm of Dell Graham, while all five plaintiffs were represented by Gainesville attorney, Christopher Chestnut of The Chestnut Law Firm and the law firm of Spohrer and Dodd in Jacksonville, FL.

The 2011 Playback: AllHipHop.com’s Top 20 Dopest Music Videos of 2011 [#20 to #11]

So far in our year-end “playback” we’ve taken a look at AllHipHop.com’s “Top Video Interview Moments of 2011,” the “50 Hottest Songs of 2011,” and have no fear, a “Top 40 Albums of the Year” is most certainly on the way. Now before we present to you what we believe are the “Top 2o Dopest Music Videos of 2011,” let’s be clear. Just because a video made it on this list, doesn’t necessarily make it one of the year’s hottest songs, although most of them are, and vice versa.

As always you may or may not agree with the choices we’ve made, but in this day and age of sounding off, if it’s worth discussing, then we’ve done our job! Here are #20 to #11:

#20 DJ Khaled – “I’m On One” ft. Drake, Lil Wayne & Rick Ross

Dir. Gil Green

Are you really surprised that one of the year’s biggest song’s landed its video on this list? Gil Green put the musical anthem into visual form with his directorial skills and created one of the year’s top videos. We see you, Rick.

#19 Big Sean – “Marvin Gaye & Chardonnay” ft. Kanye West & Roscoe Dash

Dir. Hype Williams

Beautiful women fill the video from beginning to end and help accompany one of the year’s most infectious songs with one of the year’s most vibrant and playful visuals.

#18 Nas – “Nasty”

Dir. Jason Goldwatch

Whether it be in the back of a Rolls Royce Phantom, in a recording booth, or walking the streets, the video for “Nasty” gave the fans Nas in his rawest form. Now all we need is that album, Nasir!

#17 Bad Meets Evil – “Lighters” ft. Bruno Mars

Dir. Rich Lee

One of the year’s biggest records had an equally mesmerizing video to match. You can’t really go wrong with Eminem and Royce on a song together, let alone an entire album, and the video had to match that equation. Throw Bruno Mars into the mix, and you’ve got yourselves a certified hit, both musically and visually.

#16 Yelawolf – “Hard White” ft. Lil Jon

Dir. Motion Family

Yelawolf, women, a club, an unlimited amount of Jack Daniels, and Lil Jon came together under The Motion Family’s lens to create a video worthy of being the first from Yelawolf’s Shady Records debut.

#15 The Cool Kids – “Bundle Up”

Dir. BBGUN

Ever wonder what it’s like to be behind-the-scenes of a Cool Kids video shoot? Well, with “Bundle Up,” you need not wonder anymore. Over a dope Chuck Inglish beat, the Kids gave fans a fun, humorous, and yet hard video for the first single off of their album When Fish Ride Bicycles.

#14 Das Racist – “Michael Jackson”

Dir. Weird Days

The director’s name is no coincidence. Just watch the video, and you’ll see why there’s not a single reason this video wouldn’t end up on our list.

#13 Pusha T – “Trouble On My Mind” ft. Tyler, the Creator

Dir. Jason Goldwatch

Pusha doing what he does best alongside Tyler, doing what he does best. This video encompassed all of the hysteria that we would imagine would ensue on set for a video like this. It did just that.

#12 Lil Wayne – “How to Love”

Dir. Chris Robinson

Say what you will about the song, but Lil Wayne held nothing back for the video to “How to Love.” How often do you get videos nowadays with an actual message? This was one of the Young Money star’s brightest moments in 2011.

#11 Childish Gambino – “Bonfire”

Dir. Dan Eckman

Yeah, it’s a little shocking and a tad bit scary, but it’s only right that one of the year’s brightest and most eclectic stars delivered a video that still has people talking, months after its release. Another perfect example of an artist who wasn’t and continues to not be afraid to hold anything back.

Stay Tuned for Part 2 of Our “Top 20 Dopest Music Videos of 2011,” Counting Down #10-#1…

Hip-Hop Rumors: Who Impregnated Superhead?

SUPERHEAD IS PREGGERS!

Karrine Steffans is PREGNANT! Who is the lucky guy? Could it be Bow Wow, Lil Wayne or Darius McCrary? Who knows! She already has a kid with Kool G Rap and that’s all we know. The other day, she released a positive test revealing that she was about to have one. Who knows? She’s so bent on getting attention, it would not shock me if she had some form of mishap that stopped her from having a baby and then dropped a book the next day.
Any clue on who this mystery man that knocked up Superhead is?
