Montreality caught up with the Ab-Soul during a stop on his These Days tour and chopped it up with the Black Lip Pastor about how he felt about his TDE comrade Kendrick Lamar’s new single “i.”
“He summed up my whole album in that song,” he said relating the song to his These Days project. “He probably wasn’t even aware of it.” He continued “It’s probably the most positive song that I’ve heard in a long time–the most self empowering song.”
Ab said that K. Dot can help people love themselves with this record and is using his words wisely.
“That’s when you’re taking responsibility for what you’re saying. Its kids listening. Its people that are going through things listening and you could use these words to lift them up.”
