A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Launches Hurricane Dorian Relief Crowdfunding Campaign With $50,000 Donation

Lil Uzi Vert has promised to match his friend A Boogie’s contribution.

(AllHipHop News) New York City rhymer A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is looking to help The Bahamas following the disaster caused by Hurricane Dorian. At least 50 people died as a result of the Category 5 storm, thousands of residents were forced to evacuate, and the Caribbean island nation is in dire need of supplies.

In response, A Boogie has launched a CrowdRise fundraiser to support UNICEF USA’s Hurricane Dorian relief efforts. The “Mood Swings” performer donated $50,000 to the campaign. Fellow Atlantic Records artist Lil Uzi Vert promised to match every additional dollar collected up to $50,000. The current goal is to raise $100,000.

“The Bahamas need our help, man. You got kids and families left with nothing out there,” says A Boogie. “We got to show love and support in any way we can to help rebuild that beautiful place. Every little thing helps.”

In addition to assisting the Bahamian people, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is preparing his next project titled Artist 2.0. That music collection will follow the chart-topping Hoodie SZN album which was released late last year.
