Kanye West To Apple Music: “Cut A Check To Jay”

KANYE WANTS TO UNIFY THE STREAMING WORLD

(AllHipHop News) As streaming becomes the new way of listening to music, Tidal and Apple Music have became two companies that clashed recently for more subscribers.

From Rihanna’s ANTI to Chance the Rapper’s Coloring Book, the rap game is now getting flooded with projects that require people to subscribe to a service (and possibly) choose one service to rock with.

Now, Kanye West is trying to end the beef between the two companies.

Earlier today, the rap star went to Twitter to call out Apple, claiming they need to “Give Jay his Check.”

According to a reports, Apple has been postponing making a deal with Tidal, in order to possibly get a fair price for the streaming service.

However, there has not been any recent official statements from either company about making the swift move.

Kanye continued the rant by calling out some of the execs and signed artists of Apple, stating that they should all meet up to talk about the situation.

Although Kanye’s effort to bring everyone together is getting a lot of attention, it seems like the competition between the two companies is getting stiffer.

Not only did artists under Kanye’s mentoring ink a deal with Apple (like Chance The Rapper), Travi$ Scott has also announced that he’ll be releasing his project under Apple’s streaming service.

Will Apple Music acquire Tidal in the near future?

Only time can truly tell.

But for now, most artists this year have had to pick and choose a specific music streaming service in order to drop their album.

Kanye chose Tidal to release his critically acclaimed project The Life Of Pablo

Outside of Kanye, the list includes Chance, Travi$, Future, Vic Mensa, Beyonce, Maxwell, and many others.
