Lupe shared the news of the upcoming work via Twitter. He wrote, “Still 3 albums this year. However ‘Roy’ will NOT be one of them. The new titles are: DROGAS DROGAS light* SKULLS.” The 34-year-old rhymer also posted the cover art for each LP.

Longtime followers of Lupe know he has floated the idea of retirement in the past. Back in 2012, the “Hip-Hop Saved My Life” performer declared he was done with rap after receiving criticism over his “B-tch Bad” single. He went on to release Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1 a few weeks later.

Then in January 2015, Lupe announced he was quitting Twitter before returning to the social media platform to promote his most recent album Tetsuo & Youth. The LP earned widespread critical praise.
