Usher Explains Not Being Part Of ‘One Love Manchester’ Benefit Concert

THE R&B SUPERSTAR WAS EXPECTED TO PERFORM AT THE U.K. EVENT

(AllHipHop News) Initially, R&B/Pop superstar Usher Raymond was named as one of the performers for the star-studded One Love Manchester benefit concert.

However, the Sunday night event held in England did not feature an appearance by Usher.

The “No Limit” singer explained his absence via an Instagram message posted on Monday.

“So happy to see that last night’s concert in Manchester proved that love always prevails,” wrote Usher. “I would have loved to be there but It was my son’s first day at Camp Kudzu, one of the few summer camps for kids living with diabetes. This was an important day for him and for myself as a proud father. Stay strong UK.”

One Love Manchester helped raised money for the victims of the May 22 suicide bombing at an Ariana Grande concert.

Grande, Pharrell Williams, Mac Miller, Black Eyed Peas, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and Katy Perry were among the acts that took to the stage for performances.
