While sitting courtside at “Drake Night” on Wednesday at the Toronto Raptors’ game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, OVO’s Own said he wouldn’t mind hopping in the studio with the London songstress.

“I’d do anything with Adele, I’d literally go to Adele’s house right now and do laundry for her,” he joked.

We’ll definitely be staying tuned for this duet.

Romeo Miller Writes Letter About His Parents’ Divorce And Being Sued By His Mother

Watching your parents go through a bitter divorce is heartbreaking, just ask Romeo Miller. His parents, Master P and Sonya Miller, are hashing it out in the public and he has been dragged into it. His mother filed a lawsuit against him claiming that his father was using him to keep money from his label, No Limit Forever, from her. The 26-year-old took to Instagram to write a heartfelt post about this difficult experience.

“I am also going through something else, the difference is …I have to figure it out in public, which sucks,” he said. “My parents’ divorce is very public and has definitely taken a toll on us as kids. From rumors of me hiding money to my father kidnapping his kids –from day one I’ve realized that the media’s main goal is to sell a story and could care less about the well being of my family.”

Miller said this divorce has caused him and his mother to become distant.

“I haven’t spoken to my mother in months due to advice she’s taking from her lawyers,” he said. “It sucks because the only reason I’ve ever worked so hard was to make my mother proud. I’m the one in this business and I’m the one who has been least phased by it.”

Miller said he is grateful for his successful career, but saddened by what fame has done to his family.

“As thankful and blessed as I am, sometimes I think things would be easier if I wasn’t famous,” he wrote. “Fame for me is part of my job, but I would trade it all just for my family to have happiness once again.”

Does Lil’ Wayne Want To Have His Cake & Eat It Too?

Photo via Lil’ Wayne’s Instagram

Well, according to Christina Milian, Lil’ Wayne is trying to come back into her life. Christina still hasn’t learned to keep her private life off of social media. She tweeted,

“Stop telling me you love me. Stop asking me to come see you. I am most definitely not interested. #BeenOverIt #HappyNoThanksgiving.”

Maybe Milian was in her feelings after pictures surfaced online showing Lil’ Wayne spending Thanksgiving with his family and longtime girlfriend/former fiancee Dhea Sodano. Weezy has all of the girls even to this day. What is it about Lil’ Tunechi that has these women acting up like this. Hmmmm maybe to be with Lil’ Wayne, you have to accept the terms and conditions of an open relationship.

Christina go listen to ‘No Ceilings 2’ and log off!

Mack Maine Is Not Letting Charlamagne’s Lil’ Wayne Comment Slide!

One thing Charlamagne Tha God is known for is his opinion, and for his lack of fear in expressing it. Well Mack Maine wasn’t here for it when it came to a comment about Lil’ Wayne! The Young Money president didn’t take too well to Charlamagne saying,

“Why would I ever listen to Wayne right now when Fab dropped a tape.”

Mack Maine asked Charlamagne to keep “real nikkaz (names) out of his mouth.” He also suggested that Charlamagne was worse than the heaux these days! Charlamagne honestly wanted to know why he can’t have a preference with Fab’s ‘Summertime Shootout’ and Wayne’s ‘No Ceilings 2.’

Well Mack Maine claims things are going to change in 2016! We shall see. Charlamagne is still going to be talking shhhh! Lol.

Curren$y Fans Will Never See Him On What Reality Show?

Well Love & Hip Hop fans, if you ever wanted to see Curren$y on any of the seasons, it’s not going to happen! Spitta is not here for Mona Scott-Young and in the words of Joseline Hernandez, “the shenanigans.” Some fans respected him for not standing for the foolishness, while others told him he could use the “career boost.” Many believe when you hit Love & Hip Hop your career is over, and they assume the money stopped coming in. Is this the case? Maybe Curren$y doesn’t want to “sell out” for a couple of “fake” scenes. We were surprised by the amount of people that commented on social media saying they didn’t know who he was.

Does Chris Brown Want Off Of His Record Label?

Photo via Chris Brown’s Instagram

It looks like Chris Brown is fed up with his record label RCA. In the latest #TweetAndDelete files, Breezy tweeted,

“My label is the worst. They are slowing sabotaging my career.”

It has also been said that Brown is upset about his music being leaked or coming out at different times other than it’s scheduled time. Apparently the release of his new album, ‘Royalty,’ is also being pushed back. Dang Breezy.

Janelle Monáe

I’m going to give a shout out to my friend Janelle Monáe. She is fantastically talented. I got the chance to give her an award [at The Center’s 18th Annual Women’s Event]. She sang her a capella rendition of “Smile” in a room for some friends, and she just killed it.

Stevie Wonder

I think Stevie Wonder is one of the greatest singer-songwriters of all time. I don’t think I need to give a reason why [I chose him] – everyone knows that. [laughs]

Joni Mitchell

I’ve been listening to Joni Mitchell since I was about 16. I’m in Canada right now, and that’s cool because Joni Mitchell is Canadian.

Prince

I was him for Halloween. I like his music – which is the most infectious music – but also his persona and the way it teaches us gender is just a lucid thing. I love that about him.

David Bowie

Finally, David Bowie. Yeah, that’s a good group of singers. They’re all impeccably well dressed too. [laughs]

‘Empire’ Suffers Ratings Low On Thanksgiving Eve

(AllHipHop News) The popular music drama Empire hit a low point on Wednesday night (November 25). According to The Hollywood Reporter, this week’s episode suffered the worst ratings so far in the series’ run.

[ALSO READ: The Season Two Premiere Ratings Of ‘Empire’ Are In]

THR reports:

The Fox drama tumbled a steep 30 percent to a 3.1 rating among adults 18-49. That’s by far a night-of low for the top-rated broadcast series, which airs its fall finale next week. It’s a dramatic drop that the show hasn’t taken yet, but not altogether unique given TV viewers’ tendency [to] leave the tube before the holiday weekend (biggest bar night of the year!). And it is thus far unflappable in its DVR average.

The day before Thanksgiving is often referred to as one of “the busiest travel days of the year.” The high-traffic across the country could have played a role in the drop in same-day viewers for Empire.

The “Sinned Against” episode featured guest appearances by R&B star Alicia Keys and actress Vivica A. Fox. Empire still averaged a Wednesday night high of 9.1 million viewers. The previous viewership low for the Lee Daniels led show was the January 7 series premiere which brought in 9.9 million viewers.

Can A Boycott For Justice Take A Bite Out Of Institutionalized Racism?

Acts of racism against people of color are so plentiful these days that one would think the world was in the 50’s or 60’s. Well, act of rebellion are more prevalent as well. There is an economic boycott in full swing, where African Americans and others are supposed to withhold their trillions in spending power. Check out this video that outlines a lot of the issues and why this is effective if people ban together.

People are still encouraged to support small business, African American-owned business and other companies of color.

TBT Classic: When Gang Starr Got Over On Hip-Hop

The movie “Trespass” was largely forgettable even though it starred Ice-T and Ice Cube. One of the shining gems came from the soundtrack. Gang Starr’s “Gotta Get Over (Taking Loot)” still haunts even though it was released in 1992. Over a Average White Band Sample, the Premiere-produced track gives Guru (RIP!) plenty to work with. The Boston-bred emcee sounds far more menacing and intimidating over the slow, plodding track. Check it out…a true classic song.

CREED The Movie: A Knockout Not To Be Missed

Too often the problem with great movie franchises is that the films that follow can’t handle the task of staying true to what was special about the original while still being strong enough to stand alone. In order to hide these gaps, sequels routinely get crammed with a superfluous glut of famous names and expensive action sequences dripping with inconsequential cinematic fluff. Happily, CREED is not a part of this hackneyed tradition. Due largely to the clear-eyed and naturalistic steering of director Ryan Coogler, CREED more than rises to the occasion as a boxer’s clinic on staying true to a classic while also forging it’s own very unique and entertaining path.

Make no mistake, there are famous names in the film, starting notably with Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky and ending with the very palpable specter of actor Carl Weathers’ Apollo Creed. However, the sizable bulk of CREED’s star power comes from today’s world of professional boxing versus Hollywood, giving CREED an understated but singularly modern authenticity.   With former WBA and WBC Super Middleweight champion Andre Ward and Philly born and bred Puerto Rican Light Middleweight champion Gabriel Rosado putting in major screen time, even if you don’t know who they are going in, the fights in CREED crackle with an electricity that can’t be ignored.

While the fighting is top notch in CREED with a stylistic POV bent that gives EA Sport’s FIGHT NIGHT video games a run for their money, the film doesn’t get lost in the purely physical. What makes CREED transcend its subject matter is that it taps into the universal by changing focus from the enemy without to the more elusive enemy within that we all carry. Indeed, the fact that the film’s primary antagonist, “Pretty” Ricky Conlon, played with a lot of success by former British WBC Light Heavyweight champion Anthony Bellew, doesn’t have more screen time is an intriguing departure from most ROCKY films. But rather than obsess about this creative choice, filmmaker Coogler embraces it by doubling down and posing one question via every central character in CREED both old and new: “What makes a person fight when they are almost certain to lose?” The answers in CREED aren’t simple nor do they disappoint. It is almost guaranteed that every moviegoer based on their own life experiences will have their own takeaway on the validity of these answers as shown though CREED’s lens in this atypical but fresh addition to the ROCKY series.

Michael B. Jordan is both moving and believable physically and mentally in his portrayal of a young guy who can mix it up in the ring, but suffers greatly from the demons that put him there. Tessa Thompson has a fire and vulnerability as Adonis’ love interest, a woman who supports Adonis, but has a life of her own. Phylicia Rashad is the best that we have ever seen her as the concerned yet deeply conflicted parent who cannot bear to be too close or too far from the child that she has decided to love against all odds and convention. However, despite all of these wonderful performances, by far the best fusion of old and new is the beautifully wrought yet easily fractured relationship between Michael B. Jordan’s Creed and Sylvester Stallone’s shopworn Rocky Balboa. As the cinematic relationship between their fictional characters suggests, the scenes that Jordan and Stallone play together bring out the best of both in this very satisfying movie with knockout cinematic results.

CREED from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema opens nationwide today, November 25, 2015.
