Want To Smell Erykah Badu V#####?

In an interview for her cover story in 10 Magazine, Erykah reveals she will be releasing a new incense;

Not the usual scent of strawberry, melon, or a fresh fragrance, but of her lady parts.

That’s right. The singer has revealed that “Badu’s P—-y” will be her next business venture. If you’re wondering what the scent will smell like, try imagining burnt panties.

“I took lots of pairs of my panties, cut them up into little pieces and burned them,” she explains in her interview.

This incense, which the 48-year-old calls her “superpower,” will be sold online on her store site, Badu World Market, and will be released to the public on February 20th.

Gwyneth Paltrow is the first to experiment with v##### scented products. The actress released her $75 “This Smells Like My V#####” candle, which surprisingly sold out.

Will y’all be purchasing or are you not here for panty scented incense?

Boosie & Snoop Dogg Slam Gayle King Over Interview Questions About Kobe Bryant

(AllHipHop News) CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King was catching the wrath of the internet yesterday. The television personality got dragged online because of her interview with WNBA star Lisa Leslie.

During the Q&A, King asked Leslie multiple questions about Kobe Bryant’s 2003-2004 sexual assault case which was eventually dropped after the accuser decided not to testify at the trial. Critics thought it was insensitive for King to bring up that situation since the NBA legend passed away on January 26.

Hip Hop artists Snoop Dogg and Boosie BadAzz were two of the people that took issue with Gayle King. On Instagram, Boosie accused King of trying to tarnish the image of another black person. Snoop co-signed the Baton Rouge native by questioning why King is “attacking us.” He also called her a “funky dog-head b*tch.”

Gayle King has responded to the backlash by suggesting she “wanted to make sure people saw Lisa’s answer.” According to USA Today, King also claimed the clip from the interview that is circulating on social media was taken out of context.

Nicki Minaj On Reports She Didn’t Intend To Diss Rosa Parks: Never Said This… Don’t Care

(AllHipHop News) Nicki Minaj has been caught up in a lot of drama this week. Yesterday, she was involved in a Twitter feud with her ex-boyfriend Meek Mill, but before that, the rapper was catching heat for lyrics in an upcoming song.

A snippet of “Yikes” – with Nicki rapping, “All you b*tches Rosa Parks, uh oh, get your ass up” – hit the internet on Monday night, the day before what would have been Parks 107th birthday. That reference to the Civil Rights Movement icon was viewed as disrespectful by many people.

https://twitter.com/NICKIMINAJ/status/1224531816897548288

At first, reports came out claiming that Nicki did not intentionally mean to insult Parks. However, the 37-year-old Trinidad-born star is now claiming that was not true and she actually doesn’t care about the backlash.

She posted a headline that read “Nicki Minaj Allegedly Says Rosa Parks Lyric Was ‘Bad Timing;’ Not Mean To Offend Or Disrespect Parks” to her Instagram Story. The caption read, “Never said this. Had no clue anyone was mad. Don’t care. #Yikes.”

EXCLUSIVE: Tekashi69’s Barclays Gunman Facing 96 Months For Shooting & Throwing Up Gang Signs

(AllHipHop News) If the Feds have their way, the guy who shot up Barclays Center on behalf of Tekashi69 will be in prison for the next eight years.

U.S. Prosecutor Geoffrey Berman just presented his sentencing request for Fuguan “Fu Banga” Lovick to Judge Paul Engelmayer.

Fu Banga entered into a guilty plea in May of 2019, after it was revealed Tekashi69 would be testifying against the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, who were charged in a sweeping RICO indictment in November of 2018.

Tekashi69, born Daniel Hernandez, ended up testifying against the gang during the trials of Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack and Anthony “Harv” Ellison.

Fu Banga was indicted for letting off a shot inside of the Barclays Center in April of 2018 just before a boxing match between Adrien Broner and Jessie Vargas.

Tekashi69 and his gang were grossly outnumbered by rival Casanova and his crew when they crossed paths backstage.

In a letter to the court, Fu Banga’s lawyer admitted his client fired the round after he panicked at the sight of the wall of men rushing towards Tekashi69 and his associates.

However, Prosecutor Geoffrey Berman has branded Fu Banga as a hardened criminal, who knew precisely what he was doing, because he flashed the Nine Trey hand sign after blasting off his shot.

“After the shooting, the defendant waived the Nine Trey hand sign in front of his rivals. In other words, not only did he apparently feel no shame in what he had done, but he was actually proud of it,” Geoffrey Berman explained.

Geoffrey Berman said Fu Banga is old enough to know better, especially considering his long history of run-in’s with the law.

“This was not the conduct of a young man with little life experience. The defendant discharged a gun inside the Barclays Center in furtherance of his membership in a violent gang just four months shy of his 40th birthday,” Geoffrey Berman said.

Geoffrey Berman is asking Judge Paul Engelmayer to sentence Fu Banga to 96 months in jail on February 10th.

Will Smith And Martin Lawrence “Bad Boys” Movie Breaks Records

(AllHipHop News) Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s latest “Bad Boys” blockbuster has become the highest-grossing film in the action franchise.

“Bad Boys for Life” has banked $291 million worldwide in the three weeks since its release, besting the $271 million grossed by “Bad Boys II” in 2003, and the $141 million earned by the original, “Bad Boys,” back in 1995.

The figure was achieved partly thanks to a third weekend on top of the North American box office chart, where it reigned with a strong $17.7 million take, boosting its total haul from the U.S. and Canadian market to $148 million.

The second sequel in the movie series easily held on to the number one spot ahead of Sam Mendes’ Oscar-nominated war epic “1917,” which fights its way to two with $9.6 million ahead of Robert Downey, Jr.’s “Dolittle,” which places third with $7.7 million.

“Gretel and Hansel” and “The Gentlemen” round out the new top five at fourth and fifth place, respectively.

Meanwhile, Blake Lively’s new thriller “The Rhythm Section” has bombed – it only just made it into the top 10, earning $2.7 million to debut at 10.

The movie, which was derailed for months after Lively broke her hand in a fight scene, reportedly cost $50 million to make.

The ShittyBoyz Inject Lyricism Into “Scam Rap” Growing Genre

If you’re an aspiring rapper in Detroit, you got some big names to live up to.

Everyone from Eminem to Big Sean to J Dilla to Royce Da 5’9” has paved the way showing the youth you can make it out the mud and make your dreams come true.

Insert the ShittyBoyz, the latest rap trio to hail from Motor City. Comprised of young adults StanWill, TR Dee, and BabyTron, ShittyBoyz are influenced heavily by the era of scam rap.

S##t, even scam king Teejayx6 caught on quick.

The result? A collaborative banger titled “Super Smash Bros.”

These kids have bars and punchlines for days. But unlike the other rappers, they’re inspired by the nostalgic, retro 80’s era we all know and love — which comes to life via samples and production.

While StanWill TR Dee and Babytron shine in the group, it was the latter’s project Bin Reaper that left a lasting impression on audiences all around the States.

With a bowl haircut reminiscent of Drake Bell from Disney channel, Babytron proved his worth as a spitter painting vivid imagery of his past scamming days.

You rarely get a group that are all the same age, but the 19-year-olds all met in high school and it was a wrap ever since.

AllHipHop: How would you describe your sound?

BabyTron: Different. The next big thing.

TrDee: Never before done.

Stanwill: Definitely different. Intricate. I don’t even know what that means but that’s gotta mean something, ya feel me?

BabyTron: He came with the big word. [chuckles]

AllHipHop: Being from Detroit, what were you seeing growing up?

Stanwill: A lot people. Rappers. We’d see they’re doing their lil thing and it looked nice. But you get a lot of hate and animosity from a whole lot of people, from all angles. It’s a whole bunch of people who would never ever give us our credit for being as sweet as we are, with the rapping.

BabyTron: Hate and love. Some people are stuck in old times, like they want the old sound. But then there’s some people who appreciate the new sound and see what it’s going to be one day.

TrDee: I done seen hate turn into love. People talk down on you, all of a sudden they want to be cool. Swear they knew you and all that type of stuff.

AllHipHop: How long have you been doing music?

Stanwill: We’ve been rapping for three years, but we started taking it serious about nine months ago.

TrDee: I’d say a year for real.

BabyTron: We started dropping on a YouTube channel called The Hip Hop Lab, that’s when we started taking it seriously. Our management, Lando Bando, his YouTube channel.

Stanwill: It’s really a hub for Detroit new music, that’s on everything. Events, everything.

Lando: I had a contest on Instagram.

BabyTron: It was like “tag who you think the newest, hottest artists are from around here.” Everybody was tagging us.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwwqagDwbDM

AllHipHop: How did you come to realize you could create music as a group together?

TrDee: Stan had a studio in his closet.

StanWill: We’d just rap. We all knew we had talent or whatever. It was just fun, it took off from there.

AllHipHop: At what point did you realize this music thing was for real?

BabyTron: When people would send me them listening to my songs, all day every day. “This s### sweet as hell.”

StanWill: Same for me.

TrDee: I knew it was serious when the views started coming in, we’d get more and more every time. Say we dropped a video, it’d get a 1,000 two or three hours in. Next time we drop one, we’d get 5,000 in 20 minutes.

BabyTron: Just dropping music weekly, daily at one point. I was dropping audios every day.

AllHipHop: How did you build a little following in the city?

All: Consistency.

BabyTron: Definitely consistency and dropping videos. You could have a 1,000 songs but if you don’t have one video, then nobody’s going to really tap in with you.

TrDee: The Hip Hop Lab plugged us in with everybody.

AllHipHop: How did scamming music influence you guys?

StanWill: It’s what we’re always talking about, for real. The little scam rap took off in Detroit and we came right on time with it.

BabyTron: We been listening to old songs. A year and a half ago, that’s what we were talking about.

AllHipHop: Are you guys still scamming?

All: No comment.

BabyTron: I’m taking music seriously right now.

StanWill: Not as much as it used to be. You can’t do the same thing when you get as big as you get. Because you’re in stores, people stopping us like “can I get this picture? Can I get this or that?”

TrDee: Every time. Every store.

BabyTron: All types of people too. Old people, young people. I’m like what the f##k? 45-year-old men be stopping me like “you hard bro.” I’m like thanks. It’s crazy.

AllHipHop: What do parents think?

BabyTron: My parents? They’re proud of me.

TrDee: Proud.

StanWill: Proud. Shocked, like “I ain’t think you could do this.” Because they were trying to do the same thing we are.

AllHipHop: What was the inspiration behind your name ShittyBoyz?

TrDee: It was an adlib at first.

BabyTron: I used to say it.

StanWill: He used to say it, then we got our first real video shot by a cameraman. When he dropped the song, he just named it ShittyBoyz – “GameBreaker.”

BabyTron: Because originally that’s what we was known as, but we never dropped music as ShittyBoyz. So we had dropped a song called “GameBreaker,” it was supposed to be BabyTron featuring StanWill – “GameBreaker” — but I don’t even think he knew our names for real. He named it ShittyBoyz ‘cause that’s what I said before the song. S##### in Detroit means good, like crispy clothes is s#####. Having money is s#####. It captures your attention when you see it, like what the f##k is this?

TrDee: S##### means being the s###, it ain’t nothing bad.

AllHipHop: What do each of you bring to the table?

StanWill: Something different all the time.

BabyTron: It just changes up the flow.

TrDee: It’s something you could never get tired of for real. Catch you from three different angles, three different times, that’s all kind of the same.

BabyTron: We been making music with each other together forever so we know how to go off each other.

AllHipHop: What did that mean for Detroit linking with Teejayx6 for “Super Smash Bros”?

BabyTron: We was just in the studio with Teejayx6 one time. We were supposed to make some s### with Teejay way before that, it came to the point where we had to make something with him. We got in studio, coming off each other, freestyling, having fun for real. Shot the video right after, on the spot.

TrDee: We shot the video the next day.

BabyTron: We went to the studio, made the song, shot the video, got the video edited, and dropped it all within 24 hours.

AllHipHop: Talk about your hunger and your drive for all this.

BabyTron: To see how far we came in the last 6 to 7 months, we just keep going.

TrDee: It was in such a little time.

BabyTron: I see a lot of people who have a lot of potential then they just stop caring. They fall off. That’s not what I want to do, I want to be at the top forever.

StanWill: I want to go make some songs right now, for real for real.

AllHipHop: Was Teejay someone that influenced you? He was known for scamming.

BabyTron: That’s my bro. That’s my mans. We just rap about the same stuff. Same everything.

AllHipHop: Best memory from the video shoot?

StanWill: We shot it in the studio. Probably at the end of the song when I said “stupid ass, dumb ass retarded b##ch” I wasn’t even going to put that on the song, but then I’m like “this is some funny ass s### to put on a song.” Then it blew up on TikTok. It got its own little challenge on TikTok. Millions of views, s### like that.

TrDee: 2 million views on Twitter.

Ya’ll on that TikTok wave?

BabyTron: No actually. I don’t even f##k with TikTok.

StanWill: It’s getting so much attention on TikTok, but it’s not bringing the attention to the song really. You’d think the song would get millions of views.

TrDee: The only reason it’s not is because someone uploaded in on their own thing. It’s not on ShittyBoyz TikTok.

AllHipHop: What is it you want fans to get from your story?

BabyTron: You can do anything. Anything is possible. Being the underdog ain’t the bad thing sometimes.

StanWill: If you work hard enough at something, you can achieve anything.

TrDee: Anything is possible for real.

AllHipHop: Talk about working with Sada Baby, Lil Yachty, and Helluva the producer.

BabyTron: Oh yeah, Lil Yachty just DM’d me on Twitter like “what’s up bro?” We got mutual friends in the music business. Producer Helluva, he’s known as one of the GOATs in our city. StanWill: Super producer.

He was playing my s### around Yachty, like “who is that?” Showed him. Yachty DM’d me, we put that s### together for my album. With Sada, I’m cool with him through some people. We was in the studio together: me, him, and Skilla Baby.

AllHipHop: Did you learn anything from that session?

BabyTron: Sada can make songs fast as hell.

AllHipHop: What are some goals yourself as an artist at this point of your career?

BabyTron: Just keep dropping, working hard, moving on up in the ladder. Make money.

AllHipHop: How’s the money coming in?

All: It’s good.

AllHipHop: Who’s in your Top 5?

StanWill: I don’t really have a top 5 honestly. I got people that I like for sure. I like Lil Tecca, he’s hard.

BabyTron: You can’t forget about YoungBoy, he puts up crazy numbers. I like Lil Uzi. Polo G, probably Lil Baby too. Everybody’s doing their thing.

TrDee: I f##k with Lil Durk. Durk was somebody I grew up listening to when Chicago took off. I just start f##king with Durk.

AllHipHop: What would you be doing if you weren’t doing music?

BabyTron: Scammin’ somebody Grandma.

StanWill: Trying to make some money somewhere.

AllHipHop: Best encounter you had with a fan?

BabyTron: First time me and him seen a fan at the mall…

TrDee: It was this little mall, somebody seen us and wanted a picture.

BabyTron: He’s like “this is so crazy.” All his body mannerisms, he was just so shocked that he seen us.

TrDee: The first time we got spotted by somebody, like whoa we got that type of fans?

BabyTron: I get free food in the mall, like Cinnabon if they see me. Shout out bruh, I be getting free food all the time.

AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio?

All: Weed, food, water, a hard ass beat.

StanWill: A great engineer.

BabyTron: Shout out Renzo, best engineer in the city.

AllHipHop: Music-wise, what can we expect?

All: Album. New Year, Same Scams. February 27th.

BabyTron: You’ll see a lot of features on the way too. Got a song with DaBoii from SOB on the way. Fenix from Shoreline Mafia. Lil B The Based God.

AllHipHop: How did you tap in with The Based God?

BabyTron: He had seen a little video of me. In one of my songs, I say “I’m cooking up in the kitchen like I’m Based God.” He sent me flames and s###. I’ve been listening to Lil B since I was younger, so that s### was crazy as hell. I told him we have to make something.I went to the studio that same day and made something, he sent me the verse back that same night.

AllHipHop: Talk about the similarities between Detroit and the Bay.

BabyTron: I ain’t even been to the Bay yet. But the rap, I see it though. The same type of vibe you’ll get from both cities.

StanWill: People say we sound like Blueface all the time.

BabyTron: Isn’t he from LA though? He’s from LA for sure.

TrDee: I really think it’s the samples. That’s what I really think it is. People think Detroit and the Bay sound alike.

BabyTron: Every time people from the Bay make songs with people from Detroit though, it be hard.

TrDee: Fasho, definitely.

AllHipHop: One thing fans may not know about you guys?

TrDee: Ain’t really much to know besides the music.

BabyTron: I used to be sweet as hell at basketball. I’ll bust anybody’s ass. Any rappers trying to play me, it’s on.

AllHipHop: Anything else you want to let us know?

BabyTron: Shout out to the fans. We do it for ya’ll.

Chris Brown’s Lawyer Wants Out Of Sex Assault Case Over His Behavior

(AllHipHop News) Chris Brown has been handed a new legal woe – his lawyers want to drop him as a client.

Members of the singer’s team have requested permission to withdraw from a case revolving around an alleged sexual assault at Brown’s home in Tarzana in 2017, according to The Blast.

An unidentified Jane Doe filed suit against Chris and his associate, Lowell Grissom, Jr., claiming the latter assaulted her after Brown tried to give her drugs.

Chris has denied all allegations of wrongdoing in the case.

In the new documents, lawyer Blair Berk claims Chris Brown has failed to met his obligations under their contract.

“Over the past several months, Mr. Brown has not met his material obligations under the terms of our engagement letter, and has rendered it unreasonably difficult for Tarlow & Berk to carry out the representation effectively,” she wrote. “Our relationship with Mr. Brown has come to a point where Tarlow & Brown and I can no longer adequately defend or represent him.”

Another lawyer, Zia Modabber, has filed the same motion.

A judge has yet to rule.

DaBaby Goes After Video Model In Court Over Extortion Claims

(AllHipHop News) Rapper DaBaby is suing a video model, accusing her of extortion.

The hitmaker and bosses at South Coast Music Group have filed a lawsuit against Marjorie Guaracho, who was hired to appear in his “Vibez” video.

They claim she was informed of the nature of the video, signed a release, and was paid $100, according to documents.

Guaracho, who reportedly appeared in the popular video for less than two seconds, fired off a cease and desist letter to DaBaby’s label bosses at Interscope, accusing them of stealing her performance and demanding punitive damages and attorney fees.

She also alleged the video features footage of herself appearing to endorse pornography.

The rapper has accused her of breaching “her obligations under the release by the action described herein by making false claims to Interscope.”

DaBaby says he plans to continue distributing the music video and is suing Guaracho, claiming the model signed away her rights.

Meek Mill Broke Up With Nicki Minaj Over Her Brother’s Rape Case

(AllHipHop News) The bad blood between Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill spilled over onto the internet today (February 5th).

The former love birds were involved in another public spat after Nicki Minaj went in on Meek Mill.

https://twitter.com/NICKIMINAJ/status/1225139540999827456

Nicki launched her attack on Meek and accused the Philly rapper of beating up his sister and taping it.

Nicki also said Meek kicked her (Nicki) during a dispute and labeled him a “d##k” sucker for making up with her Young Money labelmate, Drake.

“You beat your own sister and taped it. Spit on her & taped it. Kicked me in front your mother and sent her to the hospital. Sucking drake d##k made u feel tough again. Move on,” Nicki snapped.

Meek Mill responded immediately and blasted Nicki Minaj for paying for her brother Jelani Miraj’s lawyer, even though she knew he had raped his own stepdaughter.

“You sad you willing to crash your man because you losing now and everybody in the industry know you a bad person!” said. “You been knew your brother was raping that little girl that’s why I got away from you!”

“Imagine talking about an alleged rape of a child to hurt someone who wasn’t involved just so ppl can dislike me,” Nicki replied. “You can never stand on your own. You won’t tell ppl the mother is on tape asking me for $20 million to make the charge go away tho. U was around. U know. See u soon.”

https://twitter.com/NICKIMINAJ/status/1225146809497997312

A few weeks ago during the Grammy’s, Meek Mill ran across Nicki Minaj and her new husband Kenneth Petty.

The trio engaged in a bunch of trash talk before Meek Mill was escorted out of the store by security to avoid any further problems.

“N##ga been tweeting bout my man for a year now,” Nicki fumed. “Talking bout he went to my page to see him but he was blocked. My n##ga, move on. I know ya btch embarrassed. S##tted yaself in that store when u got pressed tho. “

The back and forth ended when Meek revealed he was chilling at home with his pregnant girlfriend and had no time for social media beef

Meek also denied abusing Nicki Minaj or any other woman for that matter.

“For clarification I don’t hit women and I won’t let my interviews be filled with question about her or any situation to do with her when I come out to do press for my new album! No devils tricks,” he said.

EXCLUSIVE: R. Kelly’s Managers Lose Attempt To Have Child P### Charge Dismissed

(AllHipHop News) R Kelly’s losses in court just keep piling up.

The singer’s business manager Derrel McDavid and his former manager Milton Brown lost their attempt to have a federal conspiracy charge against them dismissed.

McDavid and Brown were named in a 13-count indictment against the “I Believe I Can Fly” singer, who is accused of being the boss of a massive sex enterprise targeting underage victims to fulfill R. Kelly’s lust for underaged girls.

In October of 2019, both men claimed the Feds did not have sufficient evidence against them to prove they paid off the victims or assisted R. Kelly.

Even if they did, both men, along with R. Kelly, claimed that the statute of limitations on a conspiracy charge to receive child pornography had expired.

But Judge Harry D. Leinenweber disagreed in a ruling issued yesterday (February 4th).

“As alleged, Defendants did not perform these overt acts to cover up the prior alleged crimes but rather in furtherance of the conspiracy’s main

criminal objectives, including to conceal sexual abuse,” Judge Leinenweber, explained.

The Feds maintain Derrel McDavid and Milton Brown played a central role in a huge cover-up of R. Kelly’s sex crimes.

McDavid was the one who supposedly doled out hundreds-of-thousands of dollars on behalf of R. Kelly, in an attempt to keep his victims quiet, while both men allegedly helped to recover videotapes of the singer having sexual intercourse with various underage girls.

Pharrell Williams Denies He Lied About Stealing Marvin Gaye Song

(AllHipHop News) Pharrell Williams has defended himself against allegations of perjury relating to his copyright infringement legal battle over his Robin Thicke collaboration “Blurred Lines.”

The two artists were sued by Marvin Gaye’s heirs in 2015, claiming they copied the late singer’s 1977 track “Got to Give It Up” for “Blurred Lines.”

Williams and Thicke denied the accusations, but they lost the case, and the Motown legend’s estate officials were initially awarded a massive $7.4 million reward before it was later reduced to $5.3 million.

Williams opened up about the high-profile fight in an interview with GQ magazine published in early November, in which he told revered producer Rick Rubin that when he finds a song he likes, he “reverse engineers” the feeling he gets from listening to that tune.

“I did that in ‘Blurred Lines’ and got myself in trouble,” he admitted.

Gaye’s relatives jumped on the remark, arguing it proves Williams perjured himself after previously declaring of the creation of ‘Blurred Lines,’ ‘I did not go in the studio with the intention of making anything feel like, or to sound like, Marvin Gaye.'”

The Gayes are demanding the judge overseeing the case reconsiders the amount of attorneys’ fees to which they are entitled, but now Williams is fighting back, explaining his GQ comments are consistent with evidence he previously gave to the court.

“In his interview, Williams said that in his creative process, he often ‘reverse engineers’ a song to ‘figure out where the emotional mechanism is in there’ – but he never said that he ‘reverse engineered’ ‘Got to Give it Up’ to compose ‘Blurred Lines,’ or that he entered the studio with the intent to make a song that sounds or feels like Marvin Gaye,” his attorneys write in the brief filed in Los Angeles.

“While Williams did say that the ‘feeling’ of ‘Blurred Lines’ turned out to be so reminiscent of ‘Got to Give it Up’ that some listeners felt the songs sounded the same, he also specifically stated, as he did at trial, that he had no intent to copy the elements – melody, chords, and lyrics – of the song.

“The factual predicate for the Gayes’ motion therefore fails because his recent interview does not show perjury.”

Janelle Monáe Explains Why She Doesn’t Mind Pissing Off Conservatives & White Men

(AllHipHop News) Dirty Computer earned Janelle Monáe an Album Of The Year nomination at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. The critically-acclaimed LP represented a special stage in the singer-songwriter’s career.

Around the time of Dirty Computer dropping in 2018, Monáe came out publicly as pansexual. She talked about the connection between the project, her sexual preference, and her race in a new article published by The Cut.

Dirty Computer was really a reflection of where I was at that time. I was discovering more and more about my sexuality. I was walking into being more sex positive, also understanding different ways to love and to be loved,” expressed the Moonlight and Hidden Figures actress.

She added, “I don’t mind pissing off conservatives. I don’t mind pissing off white men. I don’t give a f*ck. This is about celebrating. I wanted to celebrate queer black people living outside of what it meant to be American.”

Janelle Monáe’s discography includes 2010’s The ArchAndroid and 2013’s The Electric Lady. Her Wondaland Records also released The Eephus EP in 2015. Plus, she appeared on Fun.’s Diamond-certified, #1 single “We Are Young.”

Future’s Teenage Son Reportedly Facing Up To 20 Years In Prison

(AllHipHop News) While Nayvadius “Future” Wilburn is in the midst of a legal fight with the alleged mother of one of his children, the Atlanta rap star’s first son is facing significant jail time. Jakobi Wilburn was reportedly arrested in January for criminal gang activity.

According to Bossip, the younger Wilburn could be sentenced to 5-20 years in prison on the gang charge. He was also arrested on criminal trespass and altered ID of firearm charges.

Even though Forbes listed Future’s income at nearly $20 million from June 2018 to June 2019, Jakobi apparently has a public defender for his case. Wilburn is 17-years-old so he can be charged as an adult in the state of Georgia.

The teenager’s most recent Instagram photo was posted on January 18 which is said to be the day before his arrest. Jakobi Wilburn [@moneymakingkobi] currently has over 16,000 followers on the social networking platform.

Sources Claim Nicki Minaj Did Not Intend To Disrespect Rosa Parks

(AllHipHop News) It has been a while since Nicki Minaj released a solo song. So when she posted a snippet of an upcoming record her fans were interested to hear what she had to say.

However, that moment quickly became more about Nicki’s reference to an African-American Civil Rights icon. On “Yikes,” the Trinidad and Tobago-born performer rapped, “All you b*tches Rosa Parks, uh oh, get your ass up.”

Those lyrics upset a lot of people, especially since the video went viral on what would have been Parks’ 107th birthday. Minaj was accused of disrespecting the woman who helped start the Montgomery bus boycott in 1955.

According to TMZ, sources connected to Nicki insist she was not trying to diss the legendary activist. The line was supposedly meant to be a metaphor about her detractors and the timing was just a coincidence.

Minaj has not publicly addressed the backlash to “Yikes.” Her most recent Instagram post is a video of her at a club appearance with the song playing in the background.

Jay-Z Explains Sitting During The National Anthem At Super Bowl LIV

(AllHipHop News) Jay-Z and Beyoncé had some people upset on Sunday. The Roc Nation founder and his family were seen sitting as Demi Lovato was singing the National Anthem.

During a Columbia University Q&A, Professor Jelani Cobb asked Jay if he was conveying a signal by not standing for “The Star-Spangled Banner.” He explained that it was not meant to be a political statement.

“It actually wasn’t. Sorry. It really wasn’t,” said Jay. “What happened was, we got there, we were sitting, and now the show’s about to start. My wife was with me and so she says to me, ‘I know this feeling right here.’ She’s super-nervous because she’s performed at Super Bowls before. I haven’t… So we get there and we immediately jump into artist mode… Now I’m really just looking at the show. Did the mic start? Was it too low to start?”

The 4:44 creator added, “By the way, we couldn’t stage that because [my daughter] Blue was right next to us. We wouldn’t do that to Blue, put her in that position… If we told her we were going to do something like that, you would’ve seen her tackle me a hundred times.”

Jay-Z was at Columbia University’s African American and African Diaspora Studies Department to launch the Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter Lecture Series. The program also covered the Hip Hop mogul’s music career, legacy, activism, and philanthropy.

“This unique lecture series, named for one of our most important and influential cultural figures, helps to establish the African American and African Diaspora Studies Department at Columbia as a major intellectual and cultural center,” stated Farah Jasmine Griffin, chair of AAADS Department.
