Chance the Rapper Rocks “SNL” With Justin Bieber; Issa Rae Clowns Kanye West

Chance the Rapper returned to Saturday Night Live over the weekend for a performance with Justin Bieber.

The third episode of this season’s SNL took on last week’s Town Hall debates between President Donald Trump and former VP, Joe Biden.

Alec Baldwin was spot on as he reprised his role as President Donald Trump, while Jim Carrey continued to draw critical acclaim for his portrayal of former vice President Joe Biden.

Actress/entrepreneur Issa Rae served as a special guest host, while Beebs made his appearance as the musical guest on SNL for the fourth time.

Chance the Rapper performed Beiber’s song “Holy” in front of a neon-blue cross. The song is taken from Justin Bieber’s upcoming sixth studio album.

In another memorable sketch, Issa Rae played a lawyer for the NAACP to vote for “everybody Black” on election day except for Kanye West: “Kanye? ‘F’ him,” she exclaimed.

Happy Birthday Eminem! Check Out Some Pictures Of Slim Shady Over The Years

Before Eminem became the most album selling-est rapper of his generation, he was a teen dad dreaming of success and hoping for a way out of Detroit’s cold-hearted streets.

Few people outside of the Motortown knew the trailer park emcee with the gift of lyricism when he was catching wreck as one half of the group, Bad Meets Evil.

Some rare pics have surfaced today (October 17th) to mark the rapper’s 48th birthday that showcase what Eminem was like prior to selling over 100 million records during his 20-plus year career.

In one picture, Em is dressed in a pink T-shirt, dark brown tousled hair, and with a cute young child, assumed to be his daughter Hailey on his lap, the “Rap God” is cutting a birthday cake.

The cake is sweetly decorated with customary “Pathmark” designs and candles whole his lips crack and an even sweeter smile.

Many kids who look to him as one of the best rappers to ever rock the mic were shocked to see the 1990 photo that is proof positive that the white emcee was young once.

9lokkNine And Other Gang Members Could Face Racketeering Charges Over Deadly Shootings

An alleged gang war involving rapper 9lokkNine has officially caught the attention of the FBI.

Last weekend, a gunman attempted to kill the rap star inside of the Mall at Millenia in Orlando, Florida.  Thankfully, 9lokkNine escaped the gunfire unscathed, but he may have some serious legal issues ahead of him – the shooting has put the rapper in the crosshairs of the feds.

Investigators say a beef between 9lokkNine and another rising Orlando rapper named Hotboii is now under investigation by the “Safe Streets Task Force” initiative.  The Feds say 9lokkNine is purportedly associated with the All Family No Friends gang (AKA The Army), while Hotboii is an alleged associate of the 438 gang.

According to the Orlando-Sentinel, The FBI has partnered with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to put an end to the feud between the two rival gangs accused of at least five murders.

“These two gangs — the 438 gang and the Army gang — have got our attention now,” said FBI agent Ron Hopper. “Members of these two gangs can start looking forward towards serving lengthy, meaningful federal prison sentences in their future.”

The supposed gang war started in April when an alleged member of AFNF shot and killed a member of the 438 gang at a house party. Later that month, the slain man’s vigil was shot up, resulting in the death of a local high school football star.

In July, investigators said a member of AFNF was killed when a 438 gang member returned fire during a drive-by shooting. The shooter in that incident escaped charges after police ruled the murder was self-defense.

Later that month, 9lokkNine with attempted murder after he was arrested for being part of a caravan that shot up the house of a 438 member. In August, local police shot and killed an alleged associate of the 438 gang at The Florida Mall.

Officers were attempting to serve a warrant on the alleged leader of the 438 gang for the murder of a member of the All Family No Friends Gang. When an associate of the gang members attempted to flee, he was shot and killed by an officer who claims he feared for his life after the man reached for a gun in his waistband.

In September, a drive-by shooting connected to the food killed a 3-year-old and a 14-year-old.  A vigil for the toddler was canceled out of a safety concern.

The murders of the two children and the brazen attempt on 9lokkNine’s life was enough to get the Fed’s to finally intervene to put an end to the gang war.

“We are involved because of the level of violence that we’re seeing in our community,” FBI agent Ron Hopper said, adding that both gangs are about to face racketeering charges.

Big Freedia Debuts Documentary, “Freedia Got A Gun” on Peacock

New Orleans Bounce artist Big Freedia has had her fair share of pain and drama. Of course, she has used her music as a soundboard. Yet, this time you can expect to get an in-depth look into the real-life of Freedia through her new documentary Freedia Got A Gun.

Chronicling her life, the documentary shows rare footage of Freedia growing up gay in the projects, the devastation of losing her brother Adam to gun violence, and the complexities of gun violence and how it disproportionally harms Black communities.

Find Freedia Got A Gun On Peacock

Freedia Got A Gun will stream exclusively on
Peacock. She expresses her desire to not only bring awareness to New Orleans gun violence but violence overall in the black community. When asked what she believes could be a solution, Freedia states, “Stricter gun laws” and better patrolling at border points. She elaborates “ Whether it’s by train, boat or air- How are these weapons getting in?!”

Freedia also chats about auditioning for the Starz hit series P Valley. The network reached out to the artist for the infamous role of “Uncle Clifford.” Although Freedia wasn’t chosen for the role, she says “..God has something better…” in store for her.

She admits, being declined for the part might’ve been for the best. The role of Uncle Clifford required the filming of quite a few racy sex scenes. Freedia is in a committed relationship and isn’t sure her spouse would have approved.

Although originating in New Orleans, music producers globally have been sampling the “Bounce” sound. Freedia just wants her credit. She is known to have popularized the Hip Hop genre, which was mainly underground since its inception in the early 1990s. Since lending her vocals to Drakes’ “In My Feelings” song, the usage of the sound has catapulted into overdrive. All Freedia asks is to be given her roses while she is here.

Aesop Rock Releases Video For New Single “Pizza Alley”

Aesop Rock, one of underground hip-hop’s most enduring and illuminating talents, has just shared a second video/single leading into the release of his new album Spirit World Field Guide (set for release on November 13 via Rhymesayers).

“Pizza Alley” picks up right where previous video “The Gates” left off, pulling viewers deeper into a broadening narrative that is rife with increasingly unhinged and hallucinatory imagery and animations, an apt parallel to the song’s lyrically labyrinthian paean to the album’s titular world.

The visual was directed by Aesop’s longtime collaborator Rob Shaw, with illustrations by Justin “Coro” Kaufman, who also designed the album’s vivid artwork and packaging.

“Keep it classy, key to Pizza Alley/weaving traffic in a overheating taxi/in Lima, tickets to liberate the center/ pitch surrender to a witch doctor/pouring amphibians out the blender/

EXCLUSIVE: YSN Flow Celebrates 100 Million Streams At 16 & Drops ‘Long Story Short’

YSN Flow recently celebrated a milestone: 100 million streams at only 16 years old. The Cleveland Heights native comes from true humble beginnings, beating the odds and making a name for himself in the rap game with his catchy motivational anthems — spitting like he’s an elite. Each time you see him, he’s a little bit drippier than the last.

Last year, Flow exploded onto the scene with his viral hit titled “Want Beef?”, who’s music video currently has over 20 millions views and counting. Fittingly, he just received his Youtube plaque for hitting 100K subscribers. Attributing his success to his incredibly loyal fanbase, Flow continues to put in work, perfecting his craft in the studio on the daily.

Having sold out a show at the Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash, Flow can’t wait to get back on the road and give the fans what they’ve been asking for. His ultimate goals include taking home that Grammy, while taking care of himself, his family, and his friends. Earlier this year, he released his debut mixtape titled Flow $ZN which sold 21K in its first week alone… and he’s already onto the next one.

His newest singles are “Blow It All” and “OTW,” holding fans over until his next project release. AllHipHop caught up with Flow via Instagram Live, who was posted in the studio with producer Iceberg. Read below as we discuss his recent accomplishments, his forthcoming EP titled Long Story Short, working with Doe Boy, advice for upcoming artists, and more!

AllHipHop: Flow, congrats on 100 million streams! How you feeling?

YSN Flow: Not going to play, when I got the plaque I was happy as f###. It’s my first plaque so that s### felt good, that s### was hard.

AllHipHop: You’re still 16, that’s insane. How do you feel?

YSN Flow: It be happening so fast, I don’t even get to take it in. I keep trying to work. Right now, I’m really trying to record music, I’m working on a mixtape right now. I don’t know if I’m going to drop it because I haven’t beeen f###### with the s### I recorded. If I don’t f### with it, I don’t drop it. My fans f### with it, but I don’t f### with it.

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7Cra3yiORwTWIUDpQud387

AllHipHop: Why don’t you f### with it? Your last tape was fire, Flow $ZN.

YSN Flow: I self-criticize myself a lot. I just know what voice I’m looking for. Right now, we were screaming doing a little vlog so I’d lost my voice. My s###’s still not back. I don’t like it because it doesn’t sound like me.

AllHipHop: You’re still recording with your voice gone?

YSN Flow: Hell yeah.

AllHipHop: Where do you get this work ethic from being so young?

YSN Flow: For real, seeing how my mom and dad worked so much. The amount of s### I saw my mom go through showed me no matter what you going through, you can do that s###.

AllHipHop: What do you parents think now?

YSN Flow: My mom’s super proud of me. My dad’s proud of me. He called me yesterday to tell me he’s proud of me, that s### made me feel good. My dad bumps my s### everytime. Everytime I see that n*gga, he has my s### playing.

AllHipHop: What are you doing with that plaque?

YSN Flow: I’ma put that b#### on my wall, I don’t know if I have a spot for it yet. I live in an apartment, we’re moving to LA soon. I got a whole ass studio in my room so there might not be room for it right now.

AllHipHop: 2 years is crazy fast, what do you make of this rapid rise?

YSN Flow: S###, I’m forever grateful. I appreciate all this, I’m blessed. I try not to get stuck on my achievements because I know I’ma do more. I’m still so young, I know there’s more than life. There’s more s### I want to accomplish so I’ma keep going to see what’s next.

AllHipHop: What are some things you want to accomplish?

YSN Flow: My main thing is I definitely want a Top 10 Billboard song, a couple of them. I want at least 3 Billboard songs and at 5 Platinum plaques.

AllHipHop: Someone asked, when’s the “Faith N*ggas” coming out with Melvoni?

YSN Flow: I got so much old ass music, that’s song I recorded my first time going to New York.” We recorded that in a session, we’re never dropping that. I don’t remember the beat. A lot of songs I don’t drop because I don’t remember the beat I made it on. If I don’t buy the beat, I can’t drop that s###. I’m not allowed to drop the song.

AllHipHop: But you got the files right?

YSN Flow: No! For most of them, I don’t have the files because I don’t keep a harddrive on me. Whenever I record, I get it emailed to me as an mp3 and put that s### in my Notes. Whenever I have a session for real, I try to remember. Some of my sessions, my manager keeps it. Other than that, I be leaving that b####.

AllHipHop: How much music you sitting on?

YSN Flow: Right now, I’m probably sitting on 430 something songs. It should be more for real, I’ve been recording for 2 months.

AllHipHop: What’s your relationship with the producer Iceberg?

YSN Flow: The first time we met, I had a studio session with Republic Records. They booked me a studio session and brought in Iceberg. We made 8 songs, one night we’re in there for 16 hours. I was bullshitting most of the time or I woulda made more. We’re smoking, we clicked after that. We started booking more sessions, built a relationship.

AllHipHop: What can we expect from your guys’ joint EP?

YSN Flow: I’m calling it Long Story Short. I want it to be a vision: n*ggas seeing me, how I came, how s### was. A lot of music I’ve been dropping has been turnt. These deep songs I’m making right now, I’m telling them my story for real.

AllHipHop: I know you got a record coming with Doe Boy.

YSN Flow: That one’s a hard ass feature for me. That s### was crazy. Definitely one of my hardest ones before I started recording music months ago. My fans are definitely hyping that one.

AllHipHop: What does L462 mean?

YSN Flow: L462 is love for my brothers. If you don’t get it, you have to look at your phone. It’s L for love, then 4 is for. The 6 comes from the ‘m’ being the number 6 on the keypad, the ‘b’ comes from the 2, so L462.

AllHipHop: Advice for upcoming artists?

YSN Flow: For real, invest in yourself. That’s the biggest thing an artist told me when I was coming up. It’s crazy he still hasn’t blown up but the biggest thing was invest in yourself and that’s what I did.

AllHipHop: What do you think about your fans?

YSN Flow: My fans loyal as f###, I swear to God. When we shot that day with Doe Boy, he’s like “you got one of the most supportive loyal fanbase I’ve ever seen.” My fanbase go crazy.

AllHipHop: What’s your motivation?

YSN Flow: Family and money, for sure.

Chadwick Boseman’s Wife Taking Over Actor’s Estate After He Died Without A Will

Chadwick Boseman has asked a judge to make her executor of the “Black Panther” star’s estate after he died without a will.

The 43-year-old actor passed away in August after losing his four-year battle with colon cancer. And according to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, he “died intestate” – without a will.

The revelation was made as Boseman’s wife Taylor Simone Ledward filed probate in the Los Angeles County Courts. The documents only listed three living relatives – Chadwick’s wife, mother, and father – and stated that his estate is worth $939,000, which includes $936,000 in “personal property.”

While the number seems surprisingly low, the amount may only account for his real estate holdings and not the income from his acting career. It may be that the money he made through starring in films such as “Black Panther” and “21 Bridges” is held in a trust and therefore doesn’t need to be included in the probate filing.

Chadwick and Taylor got engaged in October 2019 and married shortly afterward.

They made their red carpet debut at the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards in January that year, with the actor paying tribute to his other half as he accepted the Best Film Ensemble prize for Black Panther, saying: “Simone, you’re with me every day. I have to acknowledge you right now. Love you.”

Lil Yachty Could Pay Dearly For Assaulting Juice WRLD Fan

Lil Yachty has been sued by a Juice WRLD fan, who accuses the rapper of beating him up at a tribute show.

Jimmy Quivac claims Yachty and his crew turned on him at the Rolling Loud Festival at the Los Angeles Coliseum in December as he was heading towards a tribute to the late Juice WRLD.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, the plaintiff claims someone yelled at him for bumping into them near the entrance of the venue and he found himself scrapping with Yachty and his entourage, who kicked and stomped on him while he was on the ground.

Quivac, who claims to have suffered injuries to his wrist, hand, and arm, is suing for assault and battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Lil Yachty previously claimed he and his friends were leaving the festival when Quivac shoved him for no reason.

PREMIERE: Team Toon Is Going “Way Up” On Debut For Cinematic Music Group

Team Toon is going “Way Up,” literally. The Gonzales, Louisiana recording artist fell in love with the music at the age of 5, and by the age of 10, she knew this would be her be-all-end-all.

Coming from a musical family, Toon’s mother, Delisa Delpit, made waves as a respected singer, while her father is a renowned guitar player. Her influences outside of her nuclear family ranged from Lauryn Hill to Erykah Badu.

Beginning her career by building her regional fanbase at local talent shows in high school before garnering acclaim across social media platforms, Toon has been captivating audiences all around the southeast.

Today, she goes global by releasing her new record entitled “Way Up,” premiered exclusively on AllHipHop.com.

Toon’s 2020 began taking flight during March when she caught the ears of music mogul Jonnyshipes during a charity event on his IG Live.  Jonnyshipes was hosting an event in which artists from all over the world made a donation to his charity of choice, for the chance of having him review their music on his Live.

Her infectious sound cut through and landed her as the winner of the contest, in turn receiving a singles deal with the label Shipes founded nearly two decades ago – Cinematic Music Group.

On the day of her world premiere, Toon spoke with AllHipHop about the song.

“I was thinking about shooting for the moon. My mind was in a different place, I was imagining what’s the highest place possible? How do you go as far as you can and get everything you can? Real elevation. Way up. That’s where I was: the orbit,” she told AllHipHop.com.

Ending the year on a high note, the sky is truly the limit for the mother of three, who attributes her children as the driving force behind her ascending profile.

“My kids keep me going. Those three faces are like trophies. I look at them and I know they’re proud of what I’ve achieved. My three little besties give me three reasons why I could never stop,” she said.
