(AllHipHop News) Many music fans recognize Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi as one of the most influential Hip Hop acts of the last decade. His solo work made up of introspective sing-rap tunes, as well as his contributions to Kanye West’s sound, motivated a generation of musicians.
Beats 1 Radio premiered a special episode titled The Influence of Kid Cudi. The show consists of a playlist of Scott’s essential records along with quotes from other artists that were inspired by the “Day ‘n’ Nite” performer.
Travis Scott:
I idolize Kid Cudi a lot. That’s like, my favorite artist. I think he can go bar to bar — like some people think Jay-Z is the best rapper. I feel like he can compete with that and still have his own wave. I f-ck with him, because he always had his own lingo. He created a world for kids like me, who wasn’t just like, the ultimate like drug dealer. He created that vibe and that planet, where you can mack on b-tches and still be smooth, and still feel like you’re the king scientist. Not everyone is as real as their music is. That artist comes once every decade.
Logic:
That dude inspired me to talk about anxiety or mental health, or all these things. He was the dude that was like, ‘It’s okay to be sad. It’s okay to talk about these things, and go through these things.’ Especially now, because like I’ve said, I’ve been made to feel terrible or this or that about being emotional, or whatever the case may be, which is, to me, it’s almost like a neanderthal. It’s such a backwards way of thinking. I had that just through his music, in general. But like, to meet him? He’s the reason why I always introduce myself as Bobby, now. When he came up to me, and was like, ‘Hey I’m Scott,’ I was like… so, it was amazing. Like, no you’re just a dude. You’re right. And you just taught me that. When you step to the mic, you’re a god, you’re the bomb, you’re the best, you’re the greatest alive.
Lil Yachty:
I’m one of the biggest Kid Cudi fans of all time. He was one of the only artists making the music at the time for like, emotional people going through something, or just taking dream journeys. Like, the real creative kids who are in the world. And he had that dope sense of style. He was like a guardian angel, like a tour guide throughout life. Most stuff is hidden, like life is fraudulent and people just fake things. People fake like they like people, fake like they’re happy. People fake like they want to be somewhere. In the midst of all that, you have someone who’s just being 100 percent real.
Kid Cudi’s discography includes the double-platinum Man on the Moon: The End of Day and the platinum Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. Up next for the Grammy winner is a joint album with West, which is expected to be released on June 8.
(AllHipHop News) The cops were called to a hotel last night (April 29) in Las Vegas to break up a huge brawl between members of Migos and staff security.
According to reports, the rap stars were in town to perform at Drais Beachclub Atop The Cromwell.
Everything went smoothly during the performance, but afterward, the trio, along with Cardi B and their entourage, were involved in a dispute with a valet at the Encore, the hotel where they were staying.
An altercation took place after an employee of the hotel allegedly asked Quavo to move his car, prompting a back and forth exchange, that resulted in fists flying.
Employees from the hotel had to summon backup from in-house security at Encore, and they, in turn, had to call Las Vegas Police to help calm the disturbance.
One man was arrested for the brawl and cited for a minor crime and released, while the entire group was kicked out of the Encore.
(AllHipHop News) Last week, J. Cole’s KOD set a new record for first-day U.S. streams on Spotify. That feat has already been topped.
According to the streaming service, Post Malone’s new beerbongs & bentleys passed Cole’s first-day total. KOD collected 36,656,086 streams on its opening day, but B&B brought in 47,930,039 Spotify plays in its first 24 hours.
Post now holds the Spotify global record for first-day streams as well. beerbongs & bentleys racked up 78,744,748 streams across the globe.
(AllHipHop News) Jay-Z’s Roc Nation management company could be directly involved in Stella Bulochnikov’s lawsuit against Mariah Carey. According to reports, Bulochnikov wants to find out if Carey officially broke ties with her before Roc Nation’s Melissa Ruderman began making career decisions for the legendary singer.
Bulochnikov was MC’s former manager but their partnership ended last year. At the time, a joint statement was released that read “it is in their mutual best interest to part ways on day-to-day management” and they will “remain partners in a number of business ventures, and will continue to support each other in those endeavors.”
Bulochnikov is now claiming Carey broke their three-year contract. She is also reportedly accusing The Emancipation of Mimi album creator for sexual harassment.
A rep for Carey has stated:
Stella Bulochnikov was terminated from employment as Mariah¹s manager due to failure to perform her job effectively and ill-serving her client. Stella was not under contract for employment. She has been spreading false rumors to any media outlet that will publish them. We won’t respond to lies and threats. Again, if this frivolous and baseless claim is filed, we will defend against it vigorously and successfully. It is also interesting to note that this is the first lawyer who will move forward on Stella’s behalf, having previously gone through three others who wouldn’t.
(AllHipHop News) Kanye West’s love fest for Donald Trump drew in plenty of supporters from the political right. However, just as quickly, some conservatives turned on the G.O.O.D. Music leader.
Ye confused some of his new admirers when he posted a picture of gun reform advocate Emma Gonzalez with the caption “my hero.” The Parkland shooting survivor has become a target for many pro-gun defenders.
Gonzalez was accused of admitting to bullying the Parkland shooter before he attacked Stoneman Douglas High School. However, that story has been proven to be inaccurate.
For her part, Gonzalez seemed to have responded to Kanye’s shout out. She tweeted an image of the Waffle House shooting survivor James Shaw Jr. with the caption “my hero.”
Right-wing Americans probably shouldn’t have been surprised Kanye didn’t jump all the way in with their beliefs. He previously tweeted, “I haven’t done enough research on conservatives to call myself or be called one. I’m just refusing to be enslaved by monolithic thought.
(AllHipHop News) Robert Kelly has been tied to stories of pedophilia, mental/physical abuse, and sex cults. While the R&B singer has never been convicted of any crimes, the problematic speculation connected to him has led to the #MuteRKelly movement which calls on his concerts to be called off.
The anti-Kells campaign seems to be effective. His scheduled appearance for the 2018 Love Jam at Chicago’s UIC Pavilion was canceled, and he took issue with not being able to perform.
“I don’t know why they canceled the show. I never heard of a show being canceled because of rumors, but I guess it’s a first time for everything. So I apologize to you guys,” said R. Kelly to his fans in a video posted on social media. “In the meantime, I’m gonna get to the bottom line of it, as far as my lawyers are concerned, see exactly what happened, and why I was canceled.”

(AllHipHop News) Young Money’s Drake, TDE’s Kendrick Lamar, and Roc Nation’s J. Cole are often mentioned as the top Hip Hop artists of this era. By looking at streaming numbers, the three rappers could be considered among the most popular 2010s acts of any genre.
Drizzy, K. Dot, and Jermaine hold the top three spots on the list of first-week on-demand audio streams for an album. The debut weeks for More Life by Drake (384.8 million), DAMN by Kendrick (340.6 million), and KOD by Cole (322.7 million) scored the largest totals in the leading way fans consume music now.
(AllHipHop Rumors) I saw this and instantly thought it was on! There were rumors that J. Cole was dissing the lil pump Lil Pump on the song “1985 (Intro to “The Fall Off”)”.Cole didn’t say any names, but it definitely seemed like he was going at somebody. But, he said he wasn’t going at anybody in particular. I think he was, but that’s neither here nor there. I was on IG and came across this!
https://instagram.com/p/BiIV8WfgrNJ/?utm_source=ig_embed
But, my first question was like, “How does this dude that stays playing video games in a basement know that this is a Lil Pump fan?” Did the dude proclaim himself to be a fan? Did he leave a manifesto? There is literally no evidence of this.
And this is reality:
https://instagram.com/p/BiHpaknHC5t/?utm_source=ig_embed
J. Cole did a show in Africa and an overly excited fan ran on stage. I don’t think they would like a Lil Pump in the Motherland. At least, I hope not. Shout out to J. Cole. It looked like he was being overshadowed by nonsense but he’s basically just clocked in another No. 1 album.
Salute Cole World!
(AllHipHop News) Rapper J. Cole’s new record KOD has debuted atop the Billboard 200 albums chart.
The record has scored the biggest album sales week in 2018 with 397,000 equivalent albums sold.
The album is also Cole’s fifth consecutive number one following 2011’s Cole World: The Sideline Story, 2013’s Born Sinner, 2014’s Forest Hills Drive, and 2016’s 4 Your Eyez Only.
Cardi B’s debut album Invasion of Privacy moves up a spot to take second place, while A Perfect Circle’s Eat the Elephant debuts at number three.

(AllHipHop Rumors) Daz Dillinger has never been one to hold his tongue and he isn’t holding back now. Tha Dogg Pound producer has been a Hip-Hop resident since the 1990’s.
Daz helped usher in the new wave of Hip-Hop with his productions at Death Row Records. Most notably Daz is known for the hits he produced for Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur.
Being a known Crip, Daz isn’t afraid to speak on politics that come with dealing with such a faction. Recently he spoke out about Cardi B after a Instagram caption dissing Crips got her into hot waters.
Now Daz is speaking out about Kanye West after the music titan made reference to the group in his latest release. “Ye Vs The People” was released this Friday and features Kanye rapping alongside T.I.
One line on the record features Kanye making reference to the Crips and Daz isn’t too happy about that.
“Like a gang truce, the first Blood to shake the Crips hand,” raps Kanye West on “Ye Vs The People.”
That line didn’t sit well with Daz as he stated that Kanye isn’t the Crip president and shouldn’t speak on Crip matters. Daz would later take to Instagram and banned Kanye from Long Beach and Los Angeles, although he gave Yeezy as a pass to stay in Calabasas. LOL!
It’s not looking too good for Yeezy, since he has a mansion and his business in the city.
(AllHipHop News) Chicago rapper Chief Keef is in the clear over an assault case last year in Los Angeles.
In January of 2017, Keef was accused of beating down Ramsay Tha Great and sending him to the hospital.
Ramsay claims Chief Keef stole a Rolex from him as well as $1,500 in cash and although Ramsay went ahead and pressed charges, they have been dropped due to a lack of witnesses willing to testify.
Ramsay Tha Great couldn’t make the hearing since he is serving out a 10-year sentence for human trafficking, while another witness simply went missing, causing the prosecution’s case to fall apart.

EJI is inviting communities to acknowledge and confront their history of racial injustice by claiming monuments to install in their communities.
The Legacy Museum is a one-of-a-kind narrative museum housing interactive media, sculpture, videography, and exhibits that immerse visitors in the sights and sounds of the domestic slave trade, racial terrorism, the Jim Crow South, and the world’s largest prison system. (AllHipHop Rumors) Nicki Minaj may be getting what she wants with Cardi B. Sad, but true. Cardi B is coming at that big ol’ a$$!!!! Ok, lets recap. Earlier this year, Nicki Minaj dropped a pair of songs “Barbie Tingz” and “Chun–Li.” Now, the songs came about two days after Cardi B dropped her debut album Invasion of Privacy. Some people hated Cardi, but the album was mostly well-received. In the media, Nicki basically said that Cardi B didn’t show her enough respect when they did a song with the Migos called “Motor Sports.” In a subsequent interview, Nicki said, “I really, fully supported her and up until this recent interview she did, I had never seen her show me genuine love in an interview and I can imagine how many girls wish they could’ve been on a song with Nicki Minaj.”
Now, the peanut gallery GASPED when she said that, because of how Nicki treated her predecessor Lil Kim. Furthermore, Cardi was already super hot by the time that collaboration came about. Thirdly, Cardi was dating Offset, who is a member of the Migos. LASTLY, Nicki legit DISSED Cardi on the song, but later changed the lyrics. These are facts. The original line said, “If Cardi the QB, I’m Nick Lombardi.” She is saying, “She’s the player, but I’m the great coach.”
Cardi has been quiet until now. She’s saying, “Wait until I drop this baby!”
https://instagram.com/p/BiIsa6uAIb1/?utm_source=ig_embed
It seems like Cardi is going to go at Nicki Minaj Bardi style! I don’t know but it sure seems like it. Both “Barbie Tingz” and “Chun-Li” seemed to be taking shots at Cardi, even though her name was never said.

(AllHipHop News) The parents of Trayvon Martin have thanked rap mogul Jay-Z for his steadfast support in keeping the slain teen’s memory alive.
Jay-Z’s six-part docuseries “Rest In Power: The Trayvon Martin Story” recently premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Trayvon’s parents Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin were on hand for the opening, where they acknowledged Jay for continuing to shine a light on their late son.
“Just the magnitude of his name and what he carries as a person, not as an artist, but as a father, to have him behind this project is huge,” Tracy Martin said.
“Rest In Power” is based on the circumstances surrounding Trayvon Martin’s death at the hands of community watch volunteer George Zimmerman, in 2012.
Zimmerman was charged with murder but cleared at trial after alleging self-defense, based on Florida’s controversial stand-your-ground law.
Jay-Z has been among those fighting for justice for Trayvon ever since.
In February, Jay appeared at the 6th Annual Peace Walk And Talk where he praised Trayvon, who was just 17-years-old when he was slain by Zimmerman.
“Trayvon serves as a beacon of light to all the people out here so you guys would never have to go through the pain and the hurt these guys went through,” Jay-Z told the crowd.
“Rest In Power: The Trayvon Martin Story” is based on a book penned by the slain teenager’s parents Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton.
The Bay’s favorite luxury rapper Philthy Rich dropped smash single “Right Now” last summer, but yesterday the Traxamillion-produced track took on a new life as legends E-40 and Too Short joined Philthy and singer Ziggy in a hot remix video. The visuals for “Right Now Remix” dropped on WorldStar Hip Hop and sparked huge anticipation for Philthy’s The Remixes II album release this weekend!
