Ice-T’s Father In Law Has Permanent Lung Damage After Coronavirus

(AllHipHop News) Rapper-turned-actor Ice-T has urged fans to continue taking coronavirus precautions seriously after his father-in-law’s COVID-19 battle left him with permanently damaged lungs.

Steve Austin, whose daughter is Ice-T’s model wife Coco Austin, was hospitalized in Arizona last month after testing positive for the virus.

He required an oxygen mask to help him breathe after contracting pneumonia in both lungs, and was almost placed on a ventilator, but now Steve is back at home and in recovery – although his organs are forever scarred.

“It took him a month to make it out of the hospital,” Ice-T told U.S. late-night host Jimmy Fallon. “Now he’s home, but his lungs are damaged indefinitely.”

The “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” star suggests wearing a face mask may have helped prevent Steve’s medical emergency: “Coco’s dad is a Harley Davidson-riding, no-masking type of dude,” he admitted, adding, “(Coronavirus) put him on his back.”

And he hopes Steve’s health scare serves as a warning to others opposed to following simple guidelines to help curb the spread of COVID-19.

“There are still non-believers,” he said. “I’ve made it through so much in my life, I don’t want to die because of this… I’m aware and I’m concerned and I’m cautious.”

Ice’s opinion is in stark contrast to Desiiger, who believes the coronavirus is a hoax.

“Happy to announce that I’m expecting and I’m partnering with @firstresponsepregnancy, as they are committed to supporting healthy, equitable pregnancy journeys and understand the importance of a nurturing environment for black women and mothers,” she added. “As a Black mother, there are so many things to consider during this time in your life, especially during the crazy times that we live in – from what we eat, to how we live and love.

“This is the time we must take for ourselves without apologies, especially when we still live in a country where Black women historically have had the highest maternal mortality rates. So for me, self-care has become paramount, particularly in the beginning stages. Knowing your body and what it needs, being able to be still and quiet enough to hear what it tells you. That’s why I used a First Response Early Result test as it can tell you if you’re pregnant 6 days sooner than your missed period.”

Bosses at First Response have made a donation to Black Mamas Matter in Kelis’ name.

The hip-hop star-turned-chef has an 11-year-old son from her marriage to rapper Nas and a four-year-old son she shares with current husband, realtor Mike Mora.

Dr. Dre’s Wife Says He Scared Her Into Signing Prenup

(AllHipHop News) Dr. Dre’s wife is challenging the couple’s prenuptial agreement in its $1 billion divorce.

Nicole Young has filed legal documents, in which she claims she was “extremely reluctant” to sign the prenup in 1996, revealing she felt “backed into a corner.”

“Given the extraordinary pressure and intimidation by Andre, I was left with no option but to hire a lawyer (of course, with the help of Andre’s team of professionals) and unwillingly signed the agreement very shortly before our marriage,” she wrote.

“Andre acknowledged to me that he felt ashamed he had pressured me into signing a premarital agreement and he tore up multiple copies of the agreement in front of me. Since the day he tore up the agreements, we both understood that there was no premarital agreement and that it was null and void.”

Sources connected to Dre beg to differ, telling TMZ his estranged wife’s claims are bogus and she had a choice on whether to sign or not.

Dre has already agreed to pay spousal support and cover her expenses, but now it seems Nicole wants a bigger slice of his billion-dollar fortune.

John Legend Shades Kanye West Working With Trump’s “Republican Operatives” In Election

(AllHipHop Rumors) JOHN IS A LEGEND!

If you haven’t already noticed, Kanye West and John Legend or not cool anymore. At all. The pair have not talked since they had a falling out of sorts, over Donald Trump in 2018. Legend, who was signed to Kanye and remained a friend, has been the most vocal member of the old crew to discuss the issues with Kanye. I am not sure what is wrong with the rest. I assume the money is too good.

This drama all stems from a recent story that has stated explicitly that “Republican operatives“ are helping Kanye West get on ballots across the nation. These people have ties to President Donald Trump and are working in a very clandestine manner. Recently, Kanye West was champion by Donald Trump and denied having anything to do with him getting on various ballots for president across the nation. John Legend is not going for it and he expressed that on Twitter. Here’s what he said:

I have to say I commend John Legend for speaking out. So many of the other members in the crew, past or present, aren’t saying a word. Meanwhile, Kanye West continues to meltdown and shave off possible voters for Joe Biden. By the way, I am not one of those people that he’s not here just caping for Joe Biden but getting Donald Trump out of office is the number one job and Mission right now. These people have ties to Kanye West cannot win anything in the presidential election in 2020. He’s not even a viable third-party!

Here is some legacy stuff a few years ago. Chew on this!

AND KANYE SAID…

Benzino Returns To Social Media After Getting Knocked For Allegedly Harassing Althea’s New Man

(AllHipHop News) The world has been told, via reality television, that Ray Benzino is not the same man that beat up his editorial team back in the day over at the magazine that he used to own. Through shows like *Love & Hip Hop Atlanta *(three

seasons) and *Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars*, we have seen him grow into a responsible man that seems to work hard to keep his Boston Almighty RSO in check — but apparently old habits die hard.

According to reports, Benzino attacked his baby mother’s male friend, damaging his car after finding them on Friday, July 31 taking a casual stroll in their community.

The man, who remains unnamed, told law enforcement he was with his girlfriend, Althea Eaton when he discovered that his 2018 Chevy Silverado was Benzino was there to start trouble. Mostly, because he believed that he and his BM were still hot and steamy. If you remember, the two recently appeared on Marriage Boot Camp together in efforts to work on their relationship.

The man says that Althea never told him and so he wanted to leave. Benzino impeded his progress, stopping him from entering the vehicle by beating his fist into the car so much that there were dents in the side of the door. The police acknowledge, according to TMZ, that they saw the dents on the driver’s side.

Benzino’s alibi is that he was in the neighborhood to catch his son’s tennis match. In his account, it is the unnamed man and new love of Althea that was the aggressor. The former Hip-Hop magazine publisher says that the man threatened to shoot him.

Ultimately, Ray Benzino was arrested and taken to Gwinnett County Jail on 1 count of criminal damage 2nd degree and 1 count of disorderly conduct. His bail was $8,450.

Benzino recently returned to social media and issued a comment on his arrest.

“Nah I’m good, no need to defend myself, clout and fame is the biggest drug of all. I know the truth. You want a response? Here it go,” Benzino said and announced his new song “The Bigger Picture” will drop next week.

“Don’t got too much to say other than I’m home and God is good. Just know there’s another side to the story and I’ll be addressing mine at a later time,” Benzino said.

Lonnie & Rob Of Astoic MGMT Speak On Working With Offset And Ronnie2K

Astoic Management is best known for their work with one of the most popular video games to date: NBA2K.

With Ronnie2K as their client, co-founders Lonnie Anthony and Rob Martin III have found their niche in providing creative direction to a number of rappers and celebrities in the game.

J. Balvin, Lil Pump, Migos, Nav, Fabolous, Travis Scott, and are among the many artists who rely on Astoic’s expertise.

With a background in fashion, they were able to merge the worlds of entertainment, art, and gaming, bringing in notable figures such as Jerry Lorenzo of Fear of God, Rhuigi of Rhude, Don C of Just Don, and Tracey Mills of Visitor On Earth. While the relationships are noteworthy in itself, it’s important to highlight their relentless work ethic and the grind it takes to secure plays within the industry.

Last year, both Lonnie and Rob spent 6 months locking in Offset’s deal with Caffeine, featuring iconic episodes of gaming with various professional athletes, where the loser has to eat something outlandish.

On the cusp of unveiling an upcoming partnership with New Era, they are striving to transform Astoic Management into one of the top agencies in the world.

AllHipHop caught up with Lonnie and Rob to discuss how they first came together, what they did with Ronnie2K as a client, their relationship with Offset, and advice for aspiring entrepreneurs, and more!

AllHipHop: You guys met in elementary school, playing basketball. What were those early days like?

Lonnie: We actually have been friends since the 3rd grade. We grew up in a small town called Paso Robles where we played high school basketball together. From there I went to Cal State Northridge where I played D1 basketball and Rob briefly attended fashion school in Downtown LA. During my college days, I was more interested in buying sneakers and customizing them to resell on eBay and to my teammates. Originally, we always talked about doing fashion, which we did for 2 years starting in 2016. Then we transitioned into day to day management, where we saw there was a niche for our knowledge in the gaming space, as well as fashion and tech. A lot of the artists weren’t monetizing in other industries besides music, so we leveraged the knowledge we acquired over the years in the gaming space to really help these different artists capitalize on other industries. Now we are a full scale talent agency.

Rob: Ronnie2K was our first client, we helped him monetize his brand. We did creative direction for him as an entity, as well as all of his social media channels. We also did a lot of consulting for the NBA2K video game and franchise as a whole.

AllHipHop: How did you guys meet Ronnie2K?

Rob: Ronnie is one of our best friends, we actually met in Vegas in 2014. We ran into him, we both had tables next to each other at OMNIA. We exchanged numbers, kept in touch. He knew we did fashion, he was always interested in that. We ended up moving to LA. He was in the Bay Area, but always back and forth to LA. We started styling him, that grew organically into social media curation and management. We started consulting NBA2K as a whole: who to implement in the game, which artists to scan, etc.

Lonnie: Ronnie asked us to help monetize himself as a sole entity, as an influencer. Build out his brand away from 2K. He wanted to learn more about fashion, become fashionable, and grow out his relationships within that space with different rappers and athletes. He had us help consult in cultural integration, because he couldn’t keep up with who the best new rappers were or who really played 2K. Once they saw the feedback on how much the community loved having the different artists scanned in, they wanted to take it a step further and begin integrating fashion brands. That’s when we suggested using Jerry Lorenzo to start, because of his partnership with Nike. Building on that, we began integrating some of our friends such as Tracey Mills with his brand Visitor On Earth, Rhuigi of Rhude, and Chaz Jordan of IhNomUhNit.

AllHipHop: How did you know these people?

Rob: From being fashion designers and doing luxury backpacks. We did a partnership with the NBA and NBPA back in 2018, where we had a luxury pop-up shop at the London in West Hollywood. Over the course of 4 days, we sold out of all our products.

Lonnie: We built a lot of relationships during those fashion years. We met a lot of people through different parties and networking in LA. In the fashion world, designers tend to stick together and pick each other’s brains on where fashion is going and upcoming trends.

AllHipHop: How did you guys get so good in the gaming world?

Rob: We were gamers back in the day. I used to play Halo professionally.

Lonnie: I played Gears of War and was ranked in the top 30 NBA2K players in the world.

Rob: We’re pretty known in the community because we used to build rosters. Back in the day, 2K didn’t have the ability to create All-Time team rosters. Lonnie and I would create all the different players from those eras, even NBA players who weren’t already in the game. We’d upload it for other people to download and get millions of downloads. Eventually they saw how much of a want it was in the community. Down the road, they ended up implementing it.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B4BRi3KBZKe

AllHipHop: What does it mean to lock in the deal with Offset and Caffeine?

Rob: With any partnership we do, our main goal is to really create a moment. We really wanted to make sure the vision Offset had was to be executed correctly, to connect with his audience in a way that’s never been done before. We did a streaming deal where fans can watch him play and see how good he actually is at the game. But his biggest thing was to also show people that a lot of artists use gaming as an outlet, because they struggle with the same things everybody else does. Mental health is an important thing he likes to talk about due to the fact he actually lost a gaming friend to suicide. These kids may not be the best athletes, they might get bullied in school, but when it comes to gaming, it’s all inclusive. Everybody can game. It doesn’t matter what’s going on in your life, it allows you to escape.

Lonnie: That’s really what it’s all about. Creating an outlet where everybody can come together no matter what. When you’re gaming, it doesn’t matter who you are or what you do offline. You could be playing with Kevin Durant and you don’t even know it’s him, because he’s playing under his random gamer tag. It’s a different community where people can do what they love and be who they want to be without judgement. It’s relieving to not have to worry about the stressors of the outside world, or what people might think of them in reality.

AllHipHop: Why did it take 6 months to lock in?

Lonnie: The show aspect. We executive produced Bet With Set, creating a show where Offset can bring on different friends and bet with them while competing on different gaming titles. Offset had different guests like Dez Bryant (former Dallas Cowboy) and Mike Williams (Los Angeles Charger) come on and play popular titles such as NBA2K, Mortal Kombat, and Madden. While the viewers were watching, the fans were able to choose what the bet was. For that episode, the loser had to eat a Sandwich of Doom with different things that the fans could choose from: octopus, cow tongue…

Rob: Chocolate syrup, hot sauce, soggy bread. It was crazy.

Lonnie: It allowed the fans to really feel involved, as well being entertained at the same time. The fans chat, Offset can see it and respond. It gives a whole different fan engagement, that you wouldn’t necessarily be able to get elsewhere. Similar to going to a concert and then a meet & greet, it’s a totally different experiment and level of engagement. That’s what took so long. We had to make sure the vision we all had collectively was executed perfectly.

AllHipHop: All that’s on Caffeine’s platform?

Lonnie: Yeah, that was actually our debut episode. We also did a live episode on Miami Beach during Super Bowl Weekend, where we created a full-on carnival and had 30 foot billboards all over Ocean Drive. We had the Migos, Slim Jxmmi, Machine Gun Kelly, and Ric Flair playing carnival games in front of a live audience with random people walking down Ocean Drive and spectating. We’ve done some crazy things.

AllHipHop: What are your greatest memories from the shoots?

Rob: The pure joy of seeing something we talked about collectively for so long finally manifest. Really seeing the feedback and the way the community interacts with it. That’s the greatest feeling. Seeing their reaction and giving them the ability to feel closer to one of their favorite artists.

Lonnie: When somebody as big as Offset lowers that shield, you get to see how regular he truly is. There’s one episode where he takes off his jewelry and puts his arm up to his shoulder in a bucket of cow eyeballs. Most people would be like what!? It’s being able to show people that artists are regular human beings like everybody else.

AllHipHop: Talk about the New Era deal and what that means to Offset.

Rob: It means a lot with everything going on in the world currently with the Black Lives Matter movement. As a culture, we’re the most unified we’ve been in a long time. The things Set went through, growing up in Atlanta and being a part of the neighborhood, tieing in that it’s always been for the culture. How can we continue to push the culture forward? That’s always been the message for Offset. With his charity work and foundations, he’s always been really big on being a positive role model. Being a father and holding down the household. There’s a stigma in the black culture that we don’t necessarily have fathers. He really prides himself on the fact that this isn’t true and there actually are really good fathers. That’s why he did the album the way he did it.

Lonnie: The main thing is to highlight the history of black excellence in Atlanta and the Braves as well. Back in the day Hank Aaron broke Babe Ruth’s record and he received death threats because of it. To Offset, this collaboration really shows people that anything is possible. He really came from the Northside of Atlanta and has been through a lot throughout the course of his life. Your setbacks never define you, they help you grow into a better person. It’s crazy to be able to see where he’s been to where he is now in 2020. He’s one of the biggest artists in the entire world and he’s doing a partnership with the MLB and his hometown Atlanta Braves. It’s insane.

AllHipHop: You guys have made 7 figures off your company. What does that mean to be strong black males in the industry?

Rob: It’s always something we’ve worked towards. A lot of artists and people in different industries have set the tone. Jay Z and Diddy showed us that it’s attainable and possible. We always talk about being another example of that.

Lonnie: Super blessed! We talk about it all of the time. A lot of people don’t know the sacrifices we have had to make along our journey. It’s all been worth it though. No matter where you come from, where you start or how small your hometown is, it’s possible to make an impact. It may not be right away but trust in your gift and it will make room for you. If you have a purpose, you’re working hard and staying focused, anything is possible. You never know what can transpire. Looking back on our journey, we’re extremely grateful.

AllHipHop: What advice do you have for people who want to do what you do?

Rob: Consume yourself in it and find out what your strengths are. You don’t have to be good at everything, but there is always a way to provide value. Figuring out how you can solve a problem for people is the key. The money is just a product of that. So many agencies don’t necessarily care about the talent, but we pride ourselves on checking in with them mentally, their goals, and what their vision is for themselves. We just execute.

Lonnie: If you have a dream, don’t tell anybody what that dream is. They will tell you it’s crazy…because it is crazy. You have to be crazy to change the world. Put your head down and work because you never know when the next blessing is coming around the corner. One day we woke up and thought it was a regular Monday. We didn’t know we’d be representing Offset a day later as a client.

The Weeknd Hints At Upcoming Song With Juice WRLD

(AllHipHop News) The Weeknd has taken to social media to hint that a new collaboration with the late rapper Juice WRLD is on the way.

The R&B superstar tweeted, “XO + 999 Thursday Night” with “XO” representing himself and “999” a moniker the late rapper used extensively as part of his brand.

https://twitter.com/theweeknd/status/1290761559568875521

Fans on Twitter also played detective and discovered an old tweet of Juice WRLD’s from late last year, where he theorized that a collaboration between him and The Weeknd would be successful.

“Me and The Weeknd would make a diamond record…” the old tweet, from September 2019 reads.

Juice WRLD, real name Jarad Anthony Higgins, died at age 21, following a seizure on a private jet from Los Angeles to Chicago, Illinois last December.

An autopsy found toxic levels of oxycodone and codeine present in his system.

His first posthumous album, Legends Never Die, went to number one in the U.K. and U.S. last month – becoming the most successful posthumous album in two decades in America.

Lil Bam: The Julio Jones Of The Rap Game

Lil Bam is next up out of Birmingham, Alabama. Calling himself “the motherf##king Don,” which is also tattooed on his stomach, real name Keshawn Hampton claims to be “the rawest rapper out of Birmingham.

The smooth-talking assassin, the hustlin’ Prince Charming. While there are a lot of “raw people out from the Bram,” Bam just likes to talk his s##t.

The 21-year-old’s biggest song to date is his most recent “Julio” single, who’s music video recently hit over a million views — completely independent. The song pays tribute to football player Julio Jones, who played college ball at Alabama before making his mark with the Atlanta Falcons — paralleling Bam’s exact life journey as he moved to Atlanta at age 18.

Beyond that, the record recently got an explosive remix from Rick Ross and viral sensation Jucee Froot. This follows the success of his EP Airport Baby released earlier this year, accumulating over 4 million streams to date.

Signed to MBK4L Records and AWAL/Kobalt music, Bam is on the brink of breaking through to the mainstream.

AllHipHop caught up with Lil Bam to discuss his biggest influences, what Airport Baby means to him, the best encounter with a fan, goals, and more!

AllHipHop: You posted in Alabama?

Lil Bam: Hell yeah, unfortunately. I don’t like being here mayne. I left this b##ch at 18, I be wanting to stay gone. I’m too comfortable when I’m here. I stay in the A, been down here since the Coronavirus started. I came back for my people, that’s all.

AllHipHop: Being from Birmingham, what was the household like growing up?

Lil Bam: Growing up here was cool. I grew up in Avondale, it was a lot of sh-t going on. But 9 times out of 10, I wasn’t involved so it really never had a bad effect on me. I found it fun, I used to love that sh-t. When I was young, my mom used to send out a whole search team looking for me. Because I’m on the block, I’m trying to go where they at. I always hung with guys who were older than me. It’s different for me than everybody else.

AllHipHop: Why was it different for you?

Lil Bam: People will try to say they live a rough life in Birmingham, I don’t look at it like that. Birmingham is a great place to be. Some people when you hear Birmingham, they automatically think of murder, etc. I love Birmingham, but this isn’t the place to be forreal. This isn’t the place to stay.

AllHipHop: Biggest influences growing up?

Lil Bam: I listened to a lot of Hot Boys growing up. Lil Wayne was raw as hell, he’s the s##t coming up. Boosie, Webbie, the whole Trill fam were doing their s##t. They influenced a lot of s-t going on down here. Once I got older and realized “okay maybe I want to be a rapper,” Chief Keef and Lil Durk were the ones. They were young and doing this s–t, I liked it. I know I could turn up like that.

AllHipHop: You been to Chicago?

Lil Bam: Never been to Chicago. What’s crazy though, they were huge influences for us. Man, I been had this tattoo. [shows upper arm] The OTF. I got it on my arm, my people got it tattooed on his neck. You couldn’t tell us we weren’t Glo Gang when we were younger. I swear, we was Glo Gang. We had the clothes and everything, the whole city knew we was Glo Gang when we came through. They’re a big inspiration to us.

AllHipHop: What was the inspiration behind your name?

Lil Bam: As a kid, my name was Bam Bam. As I got older, they had to drop one of them Bam’s because that s–t sounded weak. When I started rapping, at first my name was Lil Three. It’s a name my brother gave me, then he ended up getting killed. I said “f##k it, I’m riding with Lil Three.” When I decided to be an artist forreal, f##k that, I’m Bam. Everybody knows Bam.

AllHipHop: At what point did you realize this music thing was forreal?

Lil Bam: I was rapping when I was 9 years old. I knew I could rap, but I didn’t think I’d end up being a rapper. It was a dream of mine, but it wasn’t one of my main goals. It’s something I wanted to do. Once I got in, I seen okay, this is constant blessings falling in my lap. I’d be a f-king fool to leave this alone and try to pick another route, when this was for me.

AllHipHop: Bring us back to the studio session for “Julio.”

Lil Bam: I wasted a lot of time in that session. I’d wasted so much time in the studio, that’s the last beat that DreDidIt (producer) played. I’m like “f–k, I’ve got to get on this one. I’ve got to do something with this one.” Really last minute in the studio, that’s how that song was created.

AllHipHop: It’s so crazy when artists say that about their biggest songs.

Lil Bam: I promise, I didn’t even think “Julio” was going to be one of my biggest songs. I thought it’d be a song a couple people vibe with, and it’d be alright. It turned out to be a hit, I didn’t even know it.

AllHipHop: What is it about that song you think people f##k with?

Lil Bam: The energy. Back in Birmingham, a lot of people from my area love when I say “I’m a real Avondale n*gga, free Bleek.” They love that sh-t mayne, they know we been hollering free Bleek for a while. “Make them hoes get it off the floor,” they love that. You know I gotta talk that s##t.

AllHipHop: What did it mean to pay tribute to Julio Jones, who played college ball at Alabama?

Lil Bam: Julio was the f–king man when he was playing football at Alabama, then he went to the Atlanta Falcons and turnt up some more. That’s the same storyline for my rap career. I turnt up here, then I went to the A and turnt up some more. I’m the Julio of the rap game, I’m coming with that.

AllHipHop: How’s Atlanta treating you?

Lil Bam: Oh, I love Atlanta. It’s treating me way better than how Birmingham treated me mayne. It’s a love-hate relationship with Birmingham.

AllHipHop: Is your family still back there?

Lil Bam: Some of my family’s still here, but majority of them nah. We left for a minute, I was 18 when we got the hell on.

AllHipHop: What was an 18-year-old Bam like?

Lil Bam: I was grown. I turnt up at 18. My main focus was being able to lift some weight up off my mom, my auntie, my cousin’s shoulders. All my life, they were always working. They work so much. My auntie even took on some of my uncle’s kids, so she had even more pressure on her. All I be wanting to do is help them out the best way I can, whatever they want. If they need it, they got it. I want to make life a little easier for them, that’s all.

AllHipHop: How was recruiting Rick Ross & Jucee Froot on the remix?

Lil Bam: It was cool as hell. I didn’t expect it from the jump. At first I was saying I didn’t want to do a remix, but I got a mutual partna with Rick Ross and Jucee Froot goes up. They were f–king with the song. When bruh called and said “Ross said send the whole song,” I’m like send it! What you waiting for? Ross’ s–t was finished so fast, the whole song was completed in less than 2 days. It had me excited because it had my mom excited, she’s a huge Rick Ross fan. She loves Rick Ross. I played the song for her and when she heard the Maybach Music tag, she almost wrecked the damn car. I swear to God. She’s like “that’s Rick Ross? Play that back!” It’s a major move too, it’s big to be able to work with artists like Ross and Jucee Froot.

AllHipHop: Airport Baby did 4M streams independently, how does that make you feel?

Lil Bam: Not going to lie, I had a feeling. I already knew Airport Baby was going to be that. I had songs on there I’d made so long ago like 2018, the beginning of my career. I said I was going to put all my best work on there, I knew I had to. It’s a no-skip. scored with that one. Everyone says they love it, it’s a great feeling.

AllHipHop: What’s your favorite song? What song means the most to you?

Lil Bam: “Dallas” is my favorite song, but the one that means the most to me is “Enjoy the Glory.” That song’s more personal. I put more of my feelings and what’s going on in my head onto that song. It’s a lot. Once you get to a certain level, people don’t understand we’re still humans too. We still go through stuff like everybody else. That song was me expressing myself, stuff I wouldn’t usually say to somebody. When I heard that beat, bet I’m about to talk that s-t on there. I’m bringing it all the way raw.

AllHipHop: What’s one thing you want fans to get from Airport Baby?

Lil Bam: I definitely want them to enjoy the entire project. I didn’t come with a storyline or certain kinds of songs, I wanted it to be mixed up so they can see that I’m very versatile. I can do all kinds of stuff. When it comes to me and that microphone, as long as the beat’s feeling me, we’re cool. If the beat’s feeling me, I’ma eat it up.

AllHipHop: Best encounter you had with a fan?

Lil Bam: I was in the mall, this kid approached me. He’s real excited, he thought he’d never meet me. He wanted me to autograph something for him, but he didn’t have nothing for me to sign. I told him “give me your shoe.” If he didn’t like how I wrote it on there, I’d get him another pair of shoes. I signed his shoe, and I signed a $5 bill for him. He told me he wasn’t going to ever spend it. I loved that s–t.

AllHipHop: What can we expect from your project in September?

Lil Bam: Just know how it’s coming. I have to top the last project every time I drop one. If Airport Baby’s doing that, you know when the next one comes I’m really doing that. All I’m doing is practicing. I’ve got a million songs, and I’m ready to fill the world with them b##ches.

AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio?

Lil Bam: I need a cool vibe first. You can’t be bored in the studio, you need a cool vibe. You gotta have some Backwoods in the studio. A raw little tender something, I’m ready to roll. [laughs] Them main 3 things are there all the time.

AllHipHop: Being only 21, what are some goals yourself as an artist at this point of your career?

Lil Bam: I definitely want to get focused, that’s my main thing. I’m trying to get all the way locked in so I can do what I know I can do. I know I’ve been selling myself short for a while, playing around because I’m still trying to make the transition. Now, I’ve got it in my head to where this is my lifestyle. Nothing else matters right here, I’ve got to do this. I’ve got my head on straight but if I get all the way focused and stay focused, I’ma be unstoppable.

AllHipHop: Anything else you want to let us know?

Lil Bam: Don Make the Law, of course.

Dice Raw Speaks On Black Thought Ghost Writers Accusations!

(AllHipHop Rumors) One thing is for sure, and two things are for certain! We don’t believe that  Black Thought of The Roots needed a ghostwriter in his career. The man has been rapping forever and is one of the most revered lyricists is in Hip-Hop. He’s like the best RIGHT NOW, along with Royce Da 5’9″.

The singer Jaguar Wright said a lot of things about a lot of people, and most of those things were bad. But from a pure Hip-Hop point of you, the idea that Black Thought had ghost riders is one of the most unsettling things I’ve heard in a long time. Obviously, this is not including the Common sexual impropriety claims!

Dice Raw, one of the other crewmembers, has recently stepped in to check that notion. He is one of the other dope rappers in The Roots collective from Philly. He is also on “Clones” with Malik B and has always been nice. He’s also written quite a few hooks in songs with The Roots also too. So it needs to be stated that he is dope in his own right! Matter of fact, Jaguar Wright said DICE RAW was one of the Black Thought ghostwriters, not just Malik B. He said, “Ni99as from my era don’t believe in ghostwriting!!!!! I never did it! Never will! That’s real spill!!!!! The only thing: this tweet was deleted. Why? Maybe typos, maybe something else. I don’t know.

He seems to deny that Black Thought has ever used ghostwriters and even seems offended. Peep:

The other thing is that he makes the claim the Jaguar Wright is mentally ill and to pray for her. Now that part I am not sure about, because the sources I am getting are saying that she is telling enough truths to be considered a problem. Her mental health isn’t really in question – the facts are! I will leave it at that!

Tekashi 6ix9ine Pregnant Girlfriend Says Rapper Is A Cop In Loving Post

(AllHipHop News) Tekashi 6ix9ine’s girlfriend Jade has announced she is pregnant in an Instagram video.

Jade shared the news in a clip which she captioned, “I’m pregnant.”

Although she didn’t name the hip-hop star as the dad in the video, which showed her in a pink jumpsuit without much of a visible baby bump his new track “P#####” played in the background.

In a follow-up post, Tekashi 6ix9ine flaunted his jewelry while confirming the good news.

The baby news comes as the ‘Gummo” hitmaker, who already has a 4-year-old daughter, Saraiyah Hernandez, with ex Sara Molina, celebrated the end of his house arrest on Sunday.

The 24-year-old, real name is Daniel Hernandez, had been serving a two-year prison sentence for gang-related crimes, but was released to serve the remainder of his sentence at home in April because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tekashi, who began dating Jade in 2018, had faced 37 years in prison due to allegations he orchestrated a shooting, but made a deal with prosecutors and helped convict gang members Anthony ‘Harv’ Ellison and Aljermiah Mack.

Jade is a dancer and influencer who first came to prominence in 2018 after she and her sister Baddie Gi were involved in a brawl with rapper Cardi B at a New York strip club where they worked as bartenders.

She stood by Tekashi following his arrest, even writing a letter to the presiding judge ahead of sentencing. And she seems to be enjoying every bit of the rapper’s notoriety, saying she felt safe with him because he is a cop.

The Migos’ Takeoff Accused Of Rape Of “Jane Doe”

(AllHipHop Rumors) It is just not a good time to be a rapper! Migos rapper Takeoff has been accused of rape. This is not a rumor, but it is in the rumor section, because the news department didn’t put this up! So I am going to just give my take[off] on it.

Takeoff, one of the dynamic trio called The Migos, stands accused. In court documents obtained by Buzzfeed, the rapper attended a party in Los Angeles and offered a woman, known only as Jane Doe, weed aka that sticky icky icky. The woman allegedly complained about Takeoff to the host of the party and told that person that the 26-year-old made her uncomfortable. He was apparently trying to “rap” with her. She was then taken upstairs to put some distance between her and Takeoff.  The host of the party got into an argument with Takeoff. At this point, the court documents say, he continued to pursue her like a predator. The rapper then continued relentlessly, she refused, and then he proceeded to rape her. It was considered, “forceful sexual intercourse,” per court documents. This sounds horrific! Is Takeoff, the quietest member of The Migos, secretly a monster?

The woman went to a doctor and got medical care, the documents say. At the hospital they said they believe there was evidence of forceful rape.

“We have reviewed the allegations and have similarly done our own due diligence. What has become abundantly clear is that the allegations made against Takeoff are patently and provably false. The claims and statements made regarding this lawsuit indicate that the plaintiffs’ representatives have not spoken with relevant witnesses or reviewed available evidence.”

“Takeoff is renowned for his artistic talent as well as his quiet, reserved and peaceful personality. In this instance, those known personality traits have made him a target of an obvious exploitative money grab. As his counsel, we are well aware and well versed on the importance of civil and criminal prosecution of true sexual assaults. This is not one of those situations.”

Sources: Biz Markie Is “Doing Better”

(AllHipHop Rumors) NOBODY BEATS THE BIZ! NOT EVEN DIABETES!

Biz Markie, the legendary rapper, beatboxer, DJ, actor, comedian, and television personality scared fan, friends, and family when he was hospitalized for complications from Type II Diabetes.

Sources with AllHipHop have anonymously revealed that the New York-born entertainer is “doing better.” The details are scant and the source refused to expound, but it is a welcome message.

The 56-year old has been hospitalized for weeks prior to the news being revealed that he was ailing. TMZ initially broke the news that the hospitalization was a result of complications with Type II Diabetes. A rep for Biz Markie then said that he is receiving great care at a Maryland-area hospital facility and that they were looking to “remain positive about the outcome.“

On Thursday, there was a distressing rumor, prompting the news team to investigate a rumor that the artist’s health had taken a turn for the worse. Nobody inside of Biz Markie’s immediate camp has spoken on his condition for days.

Biz Markie, born Marcel Theo Hall, has battled diabetes for a lengthy period, roughly a decade. He was even named a spokesperson for a sugar-free soda line after he lost 140 pounds in his attempt to fight the disease. Recently, he had not been as active as a rapper, but he has flourished as a DJ and personality. He starred on shows family-friendly shows like “Yo Gabba Gabba.” The rapper also appeared on the hit shows “Black-ish” and “Empire” and the movie “Men In Black II.” Lastly, he began hosting a show on LL Cool J’s Rock The Bells Radio just this year.

Biz Markie maintains extremely deep roots in Hip-Hop that span back to the 80s when he was a beatbox for Roxanne Shante. His career continued to burgeon as a member of the infamous Juice Crew, a collective of emcees, producers, and artists that dominated the latter part of the 1980s. Biz Markie was a stand out for songs 1989’s “Just a Friend,” “Vapors” and “Spring Again.” Biz maintained a distinctly lighter, more humorous, and fun approach to Hip-Hop and entertaining than some of his counterparts.

Fans continue to send their support of Biz Markie and pray for his return to good health. Yes, this is still a rumor, but a good one. We have not heard much at all, but it was scary for a second there. Let’s go, BIZ!!!!

John Legend Reacts To Republicans Helping Kanye West Get On Presidential Ballots

(AllHipHop News) The story of John Legend’s career will always have a chapter about his association with Kanye West. The EGOT winner’s debut album, Get Lifted, was released via West’s G.O.O.D. Music record label.

Despite their longstanding relationship, Legend has no problem expressing his political differences with Ye. New reports claim West’s 2020 presidential bid is being back by Republicans connected to Donald Trump’s campaign, and the Bigger Love creator shared his thoughts on the news.

“Just in case anyone needs some clarity around what’s happening here,” tweeted Legend on Tuesday night in response to the supposed GOP-Kanye alliance. The veteran vocalist added, “Anyway… Anyone reckless and/or misinformed enough to fall for the okey doke probably wasn’t voting for Biden (or voting at all).”

Vice reports Republican operative/election lawyer Lane Ruhland was seen dropping off the needed signatures and paperwork for West to appear on the November election ballot in Wisconsin. Previously, Ruland represented the Trump campaign in its lawsuit against the Democratic super-PAC known as Priorities USA.

Donald Trump was recently asked whether he is aware of any connection between his campaign and West’s efforts to be an official 2020 presidential candidate. The president told the press, “I like Kanye very much, but I have nothing to do with him getting on the ballot.”

West announced he is running for the White House in July. That same week, the 43-year-old rapper/designer claimed he was no longer supporting Trump and described the current state of the country as “one big mess.” He also said, “I don’t like that I caught wind that [President Trump] hid in the bunker.”

In addition, Kanye West has made it very clear his main focus is defeating presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden. This led to widespread speculation that the entertainer’s presidential run was just a covert plan to help re-elect Trump who he praised multiple times in the past.

Ciara & Russell Wilson Put Up A “Black Lives Matter” Billboard In Atlanta

(AllHipHop News) #BlackLivesMatter is no longer the lead story in the national news, but protests continue to take place across the nation. Plus, celebrities are still doing their part to shine a light on the movement for racial equality.

For example, Ciara and Russell Wilson are advocating for social justice in CiCi’s hometown of Atlanta. The R&B singer and the Seattle Seahawks quarterback had a large “Black Lives Matter” billboard put up in the city.

Wilson also took a stand for black lives during the opening segment of this year’s ESPY Awards. He was joined by WNBA player Sue Bird and Olympic gold medalist Megan Rapinoe in acknowledging activist-athletes such as Muhammad Ali, Tommie Smith, John Carlos, and Colin Kaepernick.

“We need justice. We need true leadership. We need a change and we need it now,” declared Wilson at the 2020 ESPYs. The Super Bowl XLVIII champion also stated, “The only thing that must die is racism. Black lives matter.”

Music Producer Noel “Detail” Fisher Arrested On Sexual Assault Charges

(AllHipHop News) In 2018, Noel “Detail” Fisher was publicly accused of sexual misconduct. Singers Jessie Reyez, Bebe Rexha, and Tinashe were among the people to claim the music producer was a sexual predator.

Fisher is now facing legal consequences. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the Grammy winner was arrested on 15 sexual assault charges and five additional felony assault-related charges.

The LASD Special Victims Bureau investigated incidents involving Detail that allegedly took place between 2010 and 2018. A felony arrest warrant was issued with a $6.3 million bail.

“Based on the nature of the allegations, SVB detectives believe there may be additional potential victims and they are seeking the public’s help in identifying any such victims,” reads a statement, in part, from the LA County Sheriff’s Department.

In 2019, Fisher was ordered to pay $15 million in a default judgment granted to one rape accuser named Kristina Buch. Detail previously worked with Lil Wayne (“How to Love”), Beyoncé (“Drunk in Love”), Nicki Minaj (“Lookin Ass”), Wiz Khalifa (“We Dem Boyz”), Future (“Selfish”), Jennifer Lopez (“I Luh Ya Papi”), and others.
