John Legend Reacts To Republicans Helping Kanye West Get On Presidential Ballots

(AllHipHop News) The story of John Legend’s career will always have a chapter about his association with Kanye West. The EGOT winner’s debut album, Get Lifted, was released via West’s G.O.O.D. Music record label.

Despite their longstanding relationship, Legend has no problem expressing his political differences with Ye. New reports claim West’s 2020 presidential bid is being back by Republicans connected to Donald Trump’s campaign, and the Bigger Love creator shared his thoughts on the news.

“Just in case anyone needs some clarity around what’s happening here,” tweeted Legend on Tuesday night in response to the supposed GOP-Kanye alliance. The veteran vocalist added, “Anyway… Anyone reckless and/or misinformed enough to fall for the okey doke probably wasn’t voting for Biden (or voting at all).”

Vice reports Republican operative/election lawyer Lane Ruhland was seen dropping off the needed signatures and paperwork for West to appear on the November election ballot in Wisconsin. Previously, Ruland represented the Trump campaign in its lawsuit against the Democratic super-PAC known as Priorities USA.

Donald Trump was recently asked whether he is aware of any connection between his campaign and West’s efforts to be an official 2020 presidential candidate. The president told the press, “I like Kanye very much, but I have nothing to do with him getting on the ballot.”

West announced he is running for the White House in July. That same week, the 43-year-old rapper/designer claimed he was no longer supporting Trump and described the current state of the country as “one big mess.” He also said, “I don’t like that I caught wind that [President Trump] hid in the bunker.”

In addition, Kanye West has made it very clear his main focus is defeating presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden. This led to widespread speculation that the entertainer’s presidential run was just a covert plan to help re-elect Trump who he praised multiple times in the past.

Ciara & Russell Wilson Put Up A “Black Lives Matter” Billboard In Atlanta

(AllHipHop News) #BlackLivesMatter is no longer the lead story in the national news, but protests continue to take place across the nation. Plus, celebrities are still doing their part to shine a light on the movement for racial equality.

For example, Ciara and Russell Wilson are advocating for social justice in CiCi’s hometown of Atlanta. The R&B singer and the Seattle Seahawks quarterback had a large “Black Lives Matter” billboard put up in the city.

Wilson also took a stand for black lives during the opening segment of this year’s ESPY Awards. He was joined by WNBA player Sue Bird and Olympic gold medalist Megan Rapinoe in acknowledging activist-athletes such as Muhammad Ali, Tommie Smith, John Carlos, and Colin Kaepernick.

“We need justice. We need true leadership. We need a change and we need it now,” declared Wilson at the 2020 ESPYs. The Super Bowl XLVIII champion also stated, “The only thing that must die is racism. Black lives matter.”

Music Producer Noel “Detail” Fisher Arrested On Sexual Assault Charges

(AllHipHop News) In 2018, Noel “Detail” Fisher was publicly accused of sexual misconduct. Singers Jessie Reyez, Bebe Rexha, and Tinashe were among the people to claim the music producer was a sexual predator.

Fisher is now facing legal consequences. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the Grammy winner was arrested on 15 sexual assault charges and five additional felony assault-related charges.

The LASD Special Victims Bureau investigated incidents involving Detail that allegedly took place between 2010 and 2018. A felony arrest warrant was issued with a $6.3 million bail.

“Based on the nature of the allegations, SVB detectives believe there may be additional potential victims and they are seeking the public’s help in identifying any such victims,” reads a statement, in part, from the LA County Sheriff’s Department.

In 2019, Fisher was ordered to pay $15 million in a default judgment granted to one rape accuser named Kristina Buch. Detail previously worked with Lil Wayne (“How to Love”), Beyoncé (“Drunk in Love”), Nicki Minaj (“Lookin Ass”), Wiz Khalifa (“We Dem Boyz”), Future (“Selfish”), Jennifer Lopez (“I Luh Ya Papi”), and others.

Juelz Santana Returns To Social Media After Being Release From Prison

(AllHipHop News) LaRon “Juelz Santana” James is a free man again. On Wednesday, the “There It Go (The Whistle Song)” rapper was released from the Petersburg Medium Federal Corrections Institution in Hopewell, Virginia.

Santana quickly jumped on Instagram to share new photos of himself for his 2.2 million followers. One post featured the 38-year-old New Yorker reuniting with his children.

“I missed my family. GOD is good!!! #FreeAtLast #ImBack ✔️,” wrote Santana in the pictures’ caption. A few hours later, he added, “5 months No Cut.. Should I keep the Beard or [Nah]??? #FreeAtlast #ImmmBack ✔️.”

Santana was sentenced to 27 months in 2018. Earlier that year, a loaded .38-caliber handgun was found in his luggage at the Newark Liberty International Airport. The Dipset spitter initially fled the scene, but he later turned himself in to authorities.

Frank – “Ain’t Mine” Video

(AllHipHop Music) Ascending star emcee and R&B singer from the Bronx Frank, better known as Francisco Burgos releases a smooth new single, which bridges a fine line between emotional lyricism and sultry vocals with “Ain’t Mine.”

Frank uses vivid wordplay accompanied by a softly and elegantly sung hook to curate a narrative about him getting over a woman who is not the best for him.

Frank, has shown his alter ego and full name Francisco Burgos on the big screen, as he’s blessed with the gift of incredible acting and entertaining. However, even with appearances on hit series ‘The Sopranos’ and ‘Power’ to go along with multiple movie showings such as ‘Explicit Ills’, ‘The Shed,’ and more gigs, he is learning how to balance both the worlds of entertainment and music to elevate his overall platform.

Throughout the single, he vents over, getting over his break up with his ex and recounts their old times.

He credits her for turning him into a “heart-breaker,” and now he finds peace in womanizing and enjoying parties with his close friends.

A copacetic beat embellishes the single out, which gives the single a similar tone to one of his main influences, Drake’s first projects,’So Far Gone.’

The single fits in perfectly with the generation Z and millennial mindset of a kind and loving relationship being hard to come by. In some instances, as Frank showcases throughout the track, it’s better to be single to find and understand yourself as a person entirely.

To go along with the single, a cinematic video directed by CHD Productions assimilates a perfect visual portrayal starting with a skit, which shows him Facetime his girlfriend to break up with her before hitting a house party with his friends.

Throughout the video, Frank uses the party to attempt to escape from the heartbreak from his relationship losing the passion it once had.

With each song and project, Frank wishes to create music that portrays the issues that the age group of 18 to 30 goes through in relationships, identity, growth, and adjusting to an ever-changing world.

Be on the lookout for Frank to bless the big screen with his prodigious acting talent and your favorite streaming platform with his rising musical abilities now and very soon with quality content.

“Ain’t Mine” is available on all platforms, and the official video is on YouTube.

Murder of FBG Duck Gets Even Sadder, Keef Mocks His Death…And More!

(AllHipHop Rumors) I thought the shooting death of FBG Duck was a tragedy. I have come to find out that many consider it funny and worth mocking! In my old again, I didn’t realize that it had gotten to this point! I have been educated!

Chief Keef mocked his passing in this video:

I can’t lie. I only know one song from Keef, but I do know he has long since left Chicago. King Yella said he tried to get Duck outta there, but he failed. King Yella, said “I begged FBG Duck to leave Chicago, everybody eventually gets caught lacking.”

Even worse, Duck was reportedly shopping for his son’s birthday when he was gunned down in broad day. No regard for his life or his son’s life!

What Made 42 Dugg Run From The Cops In The First Place?

(AllHipHop News) How is TMZ breaking news about rappers I never heard of? This is more of an indictment of my disconnect these young rappers! Detroit rapper 42 Dugg is in police custody after fleeing from police two months ago in Oakland County, Michigan. On June 5, 2020, cops tried to pull him over in a 2020 Chevy Tahoe after it ran a stop sign. The unknown driver of the SUV, now known as 42 Dugg, pulled over and complied initially. As the officers walked up, he pulled off.

They didn’t know who they had, but some quick investigative work soon explained everything. The truck was a rental, that went to a local promoter, that had 42 Dugg as a client. It didn’t take long after that, but never fear 42 Dugg is out on the streets again after posting $20,000 bond. He’ll be forced to wear a GPS ankle monitor as a condition of his freedom. The Rapper currently faces up to five years in prison if convicted on the charges.

Why did he run in to begin with? Nobody knows, but some have said that if he was caught at THAT time, he would be looking at more than a $1000 fine a license suspended and a bit of jail time. The 25-year-old could have gotten some hard time. So, he opted to roll out, come back without the bigger problem to face the smaller one.

He’s still poppin on YouTube so I am sure it will pan out for him.

Soon-To-Be Grandpop T.I. Is Too Funny As Zonnique Reveals Pregnancy

(AllHipHop Rumors) T.I. is very much the talk of the town right AGAIN because he is about to be a whole grandfather. What is most interesting is that he found out from his daughter after she made a premiere on People magazine! Everybody knew before he did! Zonnique, his eldest daughter, did a PREMIERE and EXCLUSIVE with People on her first child and then told her dad. All of this played out on TV, a TV show hosted by Lil Romeo, the son of Master P!

Now, when I say this was hilarious, I am not completely sure how comical it is. T.I. seemed genuinely surprised, stunned, and potentially upset. He simply did not know what to say when this heavy bomb was dropped on him! I hope that he is still cool because if I was a father and about to be a grandfather, I would not want to learn about it publicly, nor through People magazine.

Check it out:

Just to be clear, Zonnique is Tip’s stepdaughter, Tiny’s eldest biologically and very much his seed too. She’s about five months along and is looking at a baby girl in a few months. The father is her man of two years, Bandhunta Izzy (What a name!)! “Literally every year, probably for the past three years, this same rumor [that I was pregnant] had come out,” Zonny told People. “This time I actually am pregnant. It’s weird!”

At the end of the day, I think Tip is going to have to bite the bullet on this one or else he may look like something other than a doting father. I’m sure he is happy to be entering this new realm of [grand]fatherhood but I am curious as to how he is really taking it all in. On a side note, Tip is turning 40 later this year. That is a big deal too.

Either way, salute.

Juelz Santana Is Home Today And Bobby Shmurda In Mid-August!

(AllHipHop Rumors) If you are a person that celebrates when folks come home from jail now is the time to celebrate. Get out those pom-poms and let’s talk about it, baby!

Juelz Santana is coming home today! His wife Kim Bella made the revelation today on Instagram. I think she made the clarification because last week, Jules was supposed to get out of jail and something stop that from happening. I am actually glad that he’s getting out of jail because he was in trouble because a small little pistol was in his luggage when he tried to board a plane. If you ever saw the pistol in question, it was like an antique.

Nevertheless, he ran away and that made things even worse. So, the Dipset lieutenant is coming home. That is a good thing, because Jules is a good guy. And he has kids! And he has a wife! And he has fans out here in the streets that love him, even though they give them a hard time on the Internet.

He does have a hefty bill waiting for him, in the sum of $33,000 but he should be able to handle that. This stems from a dispute in homeowners fees at a condominium spot he was renting. He’ll handle that after Covid is over.

Next up, is Bobby Shmurda. Bobby Shmurda is hopefully going to be out by the middle of this month, after having a parole hearing delayed. That parole hearing was set for August 4, but it was pushed back. His mother remains optimistic that he will come home after a parole hearing on August 18. In the meantime, we are looking at Tekashi69 and all of his antics. I am just hoping to see an overall change in the tone of Hip Hop, because some of this egregious, messed up, madness needs to fall back.

Desiigner Believes COVID-19 Pandemic Is Fake

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Desiigner has labeled the COVID-19 pandemic “fake” in a controversial rant on Instagram.

The 23-year-old musician took to the social media site to reveal his thought about the virus, as he told fans: “Yo, no funny. Corona is fake, gone, bro. No funny s##t. Enjoy life. No cap. We ain’t even on that type of vibe. Corona s##t, man. Honestly, that corona s##t is BS. You feel me?”

As for the proof behind his claims, Desiigner added that he’s convinced the pandemic is just a hoax because he has yet to fall ill with the virus himself.

“I ain’t get sick yet. I been outside, healthy,” he added.

Despite his comments, Desiigner – real name Sidney Selby – has teamed up with Anaheim business Mouth Masker to create his own mask.

And he is also donating some proceeds from his new single “Survivor” to a Coronavirus relief fund that benefits healthcare workers and displaced families.

Common May Not Have Any Worries, Post Jaguar Wright Accusations

(AllHipHop Rumors) First things first, Common is definitely in crisis management mode. Yesterday, as the news of Jaguar Wright’s allegations of sexual assault broke, the supreme rapper/actor managed to drop a bomb in the midst of all that. Well, actually it was Tiffany Haddish – HIS LOVER – that dropped the bomb that stated very frankly that she and Common are in a sexual relationship! Her explicit statement was “we are fn.” Well, already then!

No, that’s definitely the folks in PR doing their thing, but does Common have something to worry about? I have sources that are telling me that there is much more to the story of alleged sexual improprieties that Jaguar right is saying. Now, I am not going to undermine her claims because they are serious. But I am going to say that Common may or may not have a rebuttal. The only thing is: does it mean anything?

In this game, accusations are often thrown out without any sort of evidence or proof. And, people are maligned. Think about what happened to Chingy, for example. Again not to say that she is lying but only to say that there is more to the story than is being told. And this is from sources that I know that are extremely close to the situation. I can’t even go further because it would likely reveal who those people are. I think that most people were shocked and even disturbed that Common, one of the most nicest, coolest, and conscious rappers, would be accused of such a thing. We also know that nice, cool, and conscious people can perpetrate sexual assault too. So, right now, it looks like Common is going to take this on the chin and see if it blows over.

I wonder why people aren’t calling out Tiffany Haddish for her role in covering up what may be a sexual assault? I am not saying she shouldn’t ride for her man because she should, right? Or should she side with a potential victim? Or say nothing?

Also…white media isn’t even reporting the accuations at all.

Talk to me.

At the end of the day, my new name for Jaguar Wright is Drag Master Jag. She dragging people with baldies!!! How???

Timbaland Teases A Sequel To Justin Timberlake’s ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’ Album

(AllHipHop News) Justin Timberlake became an international Pop superstar as a member of the NSYNC boy band. However, JT did not make it to the top of Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart as a solo act until he hooked up with Timbaland for FutureSex/LoveSounds.

The Virginia-bred beat maker provided the bulk of the production for Timberlake’s sophomore studio LP. The 2006 album included the hit “SexyBack” which peaked at #1. JT followed that single up with “My Love” featuring T.I., another Timbo-produced chart-topping smash.

According to Timbaland, a sequel to FutureSex/LoveSounds could be in the works. The four-time Grammy winner uploaded an old photo of himself with Justin Timberlake to his Instagram page. His caption read, “FUTURE SEXY LOVESOUNDS pt ✌ .”

To add more intrigue to the situation, fellow superproducer Swizz Beatz jumped in Timbo’s comment section to suggest they book a Verzuz event featuring Timberlake and another platinum-selling singer. Swizz wrote, “We need Justin vs Usher Tim ‼️‼️‼️.”

Timbaland and Justin Timberlake have created songs together since the musician/actor’s first album, Justified, in 2002. They also connected for 2013’s The 20/20 Experience, 2013’s The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2, and 2018’s Man of the Woods.

42 Dugg Arrested In Michigan For Fleeing Police Officers

(AllHipHop News) Dion “42 Dugg” Hayes was booked into custody in Oakland County, Michigan on August 3. The Detroit-raised rapper was arrested on a third-degree felony charge for allegedly fleeing from law enforcement two months ago.

According to reports, cops attempted to pull over a 2020 Chevy Tahoe for running a stop sign back on June 5. Officials claim the vehicle initially stopped but then drove away when an officer approached the SUV.

Detectives were able to identify Hayes as the driver of the car by reviewing surveillance video. Apparently, the apprentice of Lil Baby and Yo Gotti was driving a Hertz rental that was listed under a local promoter’s name who works with the Young and Turnt mixtape creator.

42 Dugg was released from the Oakland County jail on August 4 around 5:55 pm after posting a $20,000 bond. His conditional release includes wearing a GPS ankle monitor. He is expected to be in court next week.

Earlier this year, 42 Dugg was arrested on a federal gun charge. The ATF received an anonymous tip about the 25-year-old firing a weapon inside a gun range in Atlanta. Hayes is reportedly not allowed to be in possession of a gun due to carjacking and firearm convictions from 2010.

42 Dugg and Lil Baby’s “We Paid” single peaked at #10 on the Hot 100 chart last month. The song’s music video has racked up over 100 million views on YouTube since it was published on May 6.

Twitter Permanently Suspends Talib Kweli For Repeated Rules Violations

(AllHipHop News) Talib Kweli was known to have lengthy exchanges on Twitter with various people such as the followers of Donald Trump’s MAGA movement and suspected white supremacists. However, the emcee’s tweets directed at Maya Moody got him kicked off the social media platform.

Jezebel reports a Twitter spokesperson confirmed Kweli was permanently suspended from the app on July 23 for “repeated violations of Twitter rules.” The People’s Party podcast host allegedly spent over 12 hours in one day tweeting at Moody which led to other Black women starting a campaign to report him for harassment.

Apparently, the exchange between Kweli and Moody began on July 9. In reaction to someone tweeting that Kweli was among a group of rappers that were married to Black women, Moody posted a quote-tweet that read, “Literally almost all of them are married to light-skinned women but that’s a conversation for another day.”

Kweli responded by posting, “Nah let’s have this convo today. Are we talking all of my relationships? My children’s mother as well? Or are you only talking about who you think I’m currently in a relationship right now? I mean, is any of this really any of your business?”

According to Moody and other women on Twitter, Kweli then began constantly tweeting at the 24-year-old student. His fans are even accused of doxing Moody and her family as well as issuing death threats and threats of sexual abuse.

“Maya Moody is a liar,” said Kweli in an email to Jezebel. “I’ve never cyber harassed anyone in my life. I responded, on Twitter, to the lies that Maya posted about me. When you respond to someone who posts lies about you, that is not harassment.”

Kweli also took issue with Moody wrongfully accusing him of being a child rapist and a sexual predator. The 44-year-old Brooklyn native was threatened online by her supporters as well.

Additionally, he expressed to Jezebel, “The fact that ‘Maya Moody’ would align herself with an anti-immigrant, pro right-wing, anti-feminist, hate cult like ADOS proves that everything I’ve said about her intentions is correct.” She denied being associated with the American Descendants Of Slavery movement.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CC68UsJgLDH

“I once heard that fools multiply when wise men remain silent. I live by that code,” Kweli told AllHipHop in April when asked about ADOS and MAGA trolls on social media. “I was raised to understand that pro-blackness means you never ignore bigotry if you see it. Bigotry is not logical, it doesn’t go away when it’s ignored.”

He added, “I also understand the paradox of tolerance which is why I will never invite people who are intentionally bigoted to my platform. My support for free speech doesn’t mean I support freedom from consequences.

Talib Kweli continued to post about Maya Moody and his “cancelation” on Instagram even after his banishment from Twitter. He uploaded screenshots of Moody’s old tweets where she appears to express sexual attraction to white men and light-skinned men as a way to convey her hypocrisy about him dating a light-skinned woman.

The Javotti Media founder also recently set up an account on the subscription-based site Patreon where he is offering special membership perks for his fans. His next album, titled Cultural Currency, will be made available on Patreon.

G Herbo & Audiomack Launch “Swervin’ Through Stress” Mental Health Program

(AllHipHop News) Chicago’s G Herbo shared his own experiences with therapy during the rollout of his PTSD album. The rapper born Herbert Randall Wright III has since become one of Hip Hop’s most vocal advocates for mental health awareness.

“When the lawyer told me to go see the therapist, it was really just me embracing it,” said Herbo earlier this year. “I think I was already aware of the issue, and why I even had to get arrested, or have to carry a gun in the first place.”

The 24-year-old Midwesterner added, “That was probably my first introduction to me embracing my PTSD, but we’re so immune to a lot of this stuff that go on in the inner city with like violence, going to jail and all that kind of sh*t.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/CDUiTjKAOgX

Herbo has now teamed with the streaming platform Audiomack to launch Swervin’ Through Stress. The multi-tiered program will work to connect Black young adults with therapeutic resources that help inform and improve their mental health.

Swervin’ Through Stress will present resources that include free 12-week therapy sessions to Black youth between 18-25, a helpline, and a crisis text line. Herbo and Audiomack partnered with InnoPsych to provide Black therapists nationwide.

Plus, the National Alliance on Mental Illness will offer licensed professionals to monitor the hotline and textline. G Herbo recently curated a Mental Notes Panel discussion with Saweetie, NLE Choppa, City Girls, and Wale.

The single “PTSD” earned G Herbo his first Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. He also scored his first entry on the Hot 100 with the song that features Chance The Rapper, Lil Uzi Vert, and the late Juice WRLD.

(AllHipHop News) Rapper FBG Duck and two others were murdered today in his native Chicago.

The rapper was shot on Tuesday in an apparent drive-by shooting. He made it to the hospital alive but died in the care of medical officials. FBG Duck sustained multiple wounds to his torso and simply did not recover.

Initially, it seems like the rapper would survive the onslaught of bullets. Two years ago he was shot in the shoulder in another shooting. In 2017 his brother FBG Brick was shot and killed as well in Chicago.

Insiders say the murder of FBG Duck will result in a turf war with other facets of gang lifel

FBG Duck is well-known for his song ”Slide” and a heated beef with Tekashi 69.

He was 26 years old.

Jaguar Wright Accuses Common Of Sexual Assault, Blasts The Roots, Jill Scott And Erykah Badu Over Alleged Malik B Disrespect

(AllHipHop Rumors) I do not know about the rest of these people, but I have been waiting for days for this Jaguar Wright story to break. It has been surreal watching it unfurl! For the past few days, the singer, that has worked with Jay-Z, The Roots, and many more, has been going off on a number of high profile, seemingly conscious singers and rappers. All of this jumpstarted from the sad death of Malik B, a founding member of The Roots. She didn’t feel like the crew gave one of their own founding members a proper send-off. This friction has been there for years, but this is unprecedented! 2020 ain’t playing!

There are so many things stated in Jaguar’s video series on IG that it’s hard to drill down on everything. But one thing that is making headlines is the accusation that Common sexually assaulted her. Common, universally regarded as a consummate good guy, is catching the most of all of this. Why? Because allegedly a crime was committed. Sexual assault is not something that can be easily dismissed as gossip.

Here’s what jaguar had to say about Common:

“Gotdamn Common. Next thing I know, we go to bed and he’s like, ‘C’mon Jag.’ I’m like ‘No, no, no. I’m tired n*gga. I was on the stage all night. I want to lay down.’ I laid down with my clothes on. I’m a rape survivor. I know how to buy myself a little time. Just in case a n*gga try to get out of hand. You got to pull my pants down. By the time you get my pants down, I promise you I’m hooking off in your jaw. That’s how I grew up!

The next thing I know, I wake up. It’s morning and I feel something poking in my face and sh*t. And it’s just poking in my face, poking in my face. And I’m like ‘What the f*ck?!’ Then I open my mouth, this n*gga trying to stick his d*ck in my mouth while I’m sleep. Lonnie F*ckin Lynn. Rashid, Common, whatever the f*ck you want to call yourself.

Because n*gga if you gon try to stick your d*ck in your mouth while I’m sleep, it ain’t nothing you won’t do.

I don’t even know why he running around parading around here with all these public relations relationships that never seem to last. When’s the last time he actually had a real b*tch? You was with Serena that didn’t work out. You was with whoever and whoever. You always got whose hot dating you but the sh*t don’t last long. He ain’t been right since Lauryn Hill left him anyway.

Then he got with Erykah after I f*ckin spurned him. He hated my ex-husband for I don’t know how long. No matter where we bumped into each other, he wouldn’t even look my ex-husband in the face. He would talk to everybody…real b*tch sh*t. Let’s keep it a bean. Real b*tch sh*t.

Then he got with Erykah and then Erykah was jealous as f*ck of me. That song “Booty” on that second album. That sh*t was about me. She made that sh*t up at Black Lily in New York. That line, ‘Your booty might be bigger but I still can pull your n*gga but I don’t want him.’” – Source

She also had something to say about Talib Kweli, suggesting that he was some sort of a peeping Tom. She said he used to hide and look at women changing clothes. Peep:

“F##kin Talib Kweli used to come to Black Lily in New York and hide out in the green room when we were getting changed, especially me, to watch me get dressed and undressed before I got on stage. And then wait for nobody to be looking to sneak out…I been holding all this trying to make all you crazy backpack n*ggas look good.”

One of the things that have been a bit of a shocker to Hip-Hop head has been the allegation very early on in her IG live video series that suggest that Malik B wrote rhymes for Black Thought. Now I am not here to say this is true or not but it seems like there may be some reality to it. I mean, who knows? One thing I know is for sure, is that The Roots have always been a collective of artists that seem to work together as a complete and total band. That is a bit different than a singular rapper in a group. If it was true, I don’t think that it takes away from Black Thought’s standing as an MC.

Young Guru defend Tarik in a now-deleted Twitter post. “Y’all know I don’t get on these internets for nothing. I let a lot of things slide. But what y’all not about to do is question @blackthought’s pen. That’s not about to happen in my lifetime!!!” Why’d he delete?

Jill Scott and Erykah Badu were not exempt from Jaguar Wright’s wrath! She dragged them both through the mud, the streets, the cornfield in a bunch of other places as well. She is not playing with either one of them and really makes them out to be very different from their public personas!!

Check out what she said:

“Erykah you haven’t posted anything but you’re supposed to be this enlightened mother. You haven’t said a word about my brother when he was the only one who wasn’t treating your ass like sh#t because you weren’t from Philly, but you quiet now. I’m killing all that fake sh#t.”

I wonder if The Roots will address this whole thing. I wonder if Common is going to respond to the allegations of sexual assault. I wonder if Badu or Jill Scott will take time out of their day to answer to some of the things that Jaguar right has alleged.

Right now it seems like folks are content with blocking her and ignoring her, but I don’t think that will suffice in the long run. I think that allegations of sexual assault and even the notion that Jaguar being threatened is enough for folks to present their side of the truth. Right now, Jaguar is doing all the talking and that is not the best look for the others she is mentioning.

Once upon a time, there was a vixen named Superhead and never got sued even though she aired it out in book form! I think she never got sued because she told the truth. Will the same stand for Jag? I hope nobody was wronged criminally and I pray for healing!
