(AllHipHop Rumors) The word on the street is Beyonce might just be the next iteration of Storm, the some-time leader of the X-Men. Up until this point, there is not been a really dope storm. There has been Halle Berry and the pubescent-looking Alexandra Shipp. Respect to them both, but neither managed to nail the African goddess. Well, it does not look like we’ll see Beyonce as Storm either. It has already debunked. This didn’t stop an artist from creating a digital rendering of the possibilities.
Seemed like a week ago they were pleading for people to not burn down the hood. Why can’t the cops comply on their side? One thing is for sure, Atlanta ain’t Wakanda.
And as a D-Boy and Trap Lord…shouldn’t T.I. be tuned in to how f##### up the cops are?
“There is probable cause to believe that the individual who shot and killed [Nick Blixky] is Glean,” one NYPD officer wrote in his report that was filed this past Thursday.
According to the Feds, what led them to Glean’s involvement was a surveillance video that was later recovered nearby. In the video, the alleged shooter is seen with a blue bandana around his face, a patterned hoodie, bronze sneakers, and a gold ring on his left ring finger. What truly caught the Feds’ eye was the distinctive tattoo on the shooter’s left arm – a globe.
That tattoo was an exact match to the one seen on photos of Glean, who already has a record for illegal possession of ammunition and attempted murder.
(AllHipHop News) In May, R&B singer Faith Evans hit the headlines after she was involved in a tussle with her husband/producer Stevie J at their Los Angeles home.
LAPD quickly arrested Faith and a domestic violence report was filed. She was able to post bail and was released almost immediately. Now, it has been reported that the R&B star will no longer be prosecuted for the alleged altercation with Stevie J.
Stevie just wanted Faith to leave the house when the argument first took place. The cops who arrived only arrested Faith because of the visible scratches on Steve’s face.
Despite all that went down, the infamous couple appears to still be together. Stevie J confirmed he and Faith are still married.
After all the rumors that were circulating about their marriage being on the rocks, the couple is still trying to make it work.
(AllHipHop News) “Taking Into Consideration All Lives, or TICAL is the acronym dubbed by Wu-Tang Clan veteran and Hip-Hop icon, Method Man.
He used the acronym as the title of his solo album that debuted back in 1994. Nearly three decades later, Method Man has turned TICAL into a legitimate cannabis brand.
The rapper is launching three strains to be sold at four dispensaries in California and all Black-owned. TICAL was able to develop its own strains after securing a partnership with Clone Guy Industries, a Cali-based grower.
They are dedicated to meeting all the health standards that have been raised due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Amidst the modern-day activism that has reignited in the aftermath of the recent murders of George Floyd and Rayshard Brooks at the hands of law enforcement, Method Man, legal name, Clifford Smith, is combining his business with advocacy.
“Personally, it’s essential that we use our brand to help bring awareness to the social, systemic, and economic injustice in communities that have struggled with oppressive mass incarceration and racially-biased pricing procedures,” Method Man said.
Method Man’s latest venture is the latest business pushing towards the legalization of marijuana in the US. He joins many other celebrities, such as Snoop Dogg, Willie Nelson, and Tommy Chong who have supported the movement and have also endorsed various cannabis-based products.
Police were called around 10:33 PM as customers were forced to drive around the parked vehicle according to a statement released by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
When police arrived, a sobriety test was given to Brooks who eventually woke up. The reports then state he resisted arrest after failing the test.
A struggle began as things escalated. Later on, two videos were obtained – one from the Wendy’s surveillance camera, and another from an eyewitness who has chosen to remain anonymous.
In the latter’s video, we see Brooks and two Atlanta PD officers in a physical struggle with one officer yelling, “stop fighting,” and demanding Brooks to keep his “hands off the taser.”
Ultimately, Brooks got a hold of the taser and ran off. Initially, one of the officers fired his stun gun three times as Brooks continued to run. As Brooks and the officer in pursuit passed the eyewitnesses’ car, another officer runs after Brooks.
It was at this time three gunshots were heard. Brooks and the officers are no longer seen in the video.
Moments later Brooks was taken to a hospital where he died.
Law enforcement was already under heavy scrutiny after the recent murder of George Floyd in Minnesota, and Brooks’ killing has only added more fuel to the fire.
It was also just reported that Erika Shields, the Atlanta Police Chief, stepped down from her job.
The killing of #RayshardBrooks in Atlanta last night demands we severely restrict the use of deadly force. Yes, investigations must be called for – but so too should accountability.
(AllHipHop News) Back in February, actor/singer, Jussie Smollett was indicted on six felony charges of disorderly conduct.
The charges were connected to four separate reports the disgraced actor made to Chicago PD about a hate crime that he allegedly orchestrated back in 2019.
If you recall, Jussie Smollett made a highly publicized claim that two Trump supporters attacked him.
However, it was later revealed that two Nigerian brothers named Abel and Ola Osundario acted as the attackers who maintain Jussie Smollett paid them $3500 to carry out the staged hate crime.
But outrage ensued when Kim Foxx suddenly dismissed the charges against Jussie. Smollett’s punishment was reduced to 15 hours of community service and $10,000 as repayment to the city of Chicago.
Since he had admitted he was clear of any wrongdoing and never went to trial, the six felony charges of disorderly conduct had no implications of double jeopardy, according to Judge James Linn.
Judge Linn’s statement came after Smollett filed a separate claim that he was on trial for the same alleged crime, twice.
“There was no trial in this case, there was no jury empaneled, no witnesses were sworn, no evidence was heard, no guilt please were ever entered – nothing like that ever happened. There was no adjudication of this case,” said Linn during a live-streamed hearing.
(AllHipHop News) Many look at Kendall Jenner as the shy and responsible Kardashian, because you rarely see her and she has a legit career modeling, but now she is reflecting on her decision to use her celebrity status to promote events.
Bet you Kendall Jenner won’t be so Insta-thirsty in the future, especially at having to dish out $90,000 to settle a bankruptcy claim over her very minimal involvement with the Fyre Festival.
How minimal?
They paid her a bag and she posted it. SMDH
By now you know about the Fyre Festival debacle, as there are several documentaries about it and the backlash of the failed event epically clowned on social media.
Queens rapper, Ja Rule, was at the helm of the festival deemed to be the party of the century, but alas, even the Murder Inc. emcee felt bamboozled.
It is suggested that she was paid at least $275,000 to post on her IG (one time). By posting, she and a few of her model friends, made everyone think that the Fyre Festival was legit going to be the jam of all jams.
Better than Spring Break. Better than South Beach. Coachella what? St. Bart’s who? Negro … they made you think it was going to be Freaknik in the tropics with a little Greek Picnic ala 93 with white and whitish models. You know people were fiending.
Kendall went ham making people believe that it was going to be a good gathering, even she even announced “my G.O.O.D. Music Family as the first headliners” for the festival, which made people believe that Kanye West, her brother-in-love, might even swing through … This was a lie and one that Fyre never asked her to make.
Making it worse, Kendall did not share that Fyre LLC paid her, thus hiring her to say these things which later has been found out as being untrue.
DGKLaw.com explained why Jenner settled and agreed to share some of the blame.
“Gregory Messer, who serves as Fyre LLC’s Chapter 7 trustee, claimed that the payments to Jenner were fraudulent and avoidable under the Bankruptcy Code and New York bankruptcy law, and therefore Jenner’s company, Kendall Jenner Inc., should be required to repay those amounts as part of the discharge of Fyre LLC’s outstanding debts.
The trustee alleged that because Kanye West was never scheduled to perform, Jenner’s post, therefore, was made as part of a wider scheme to defraud investors and dupe customers by insinuating that the festival would be more successful than it could ever be in reality.
Accordingly, such amounts should not be retained by Jenner but instead should be redistributed to the festival’s defrauded investors. As part of the settlement, Kendall Jenner agreed to pay $90,000 in exchange for waiving any other claims against her company.”
Next time, Kendall is gonna stay in her lane and not make it hot. Little lessons like these make you start to think that Kim really is the smart one.
(AllHipHop News) Former Saturday Night Live actor/comedian, Jay Pharoah took to Instagram to share a devastating video of an encounter he had with LAPD.
In the aftermath of Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd’s murders and those before them, Pharaoh recalled the incident that occurred earlier in the year.
“I could have easily been an Ahmaud, or a George,” he said.
In a detailed account, Pharoah revisited an encounter where he stood face-to-face with guns held by officers. He was merely out for a walk.
“I’m not thinking anything of it because I’m a law-abiding citizen. I saw him coming with guns blazing, I see him say, ‘Get on the ground, put your hands up like you’re an airplane,” Jay Pharaoh said.
This, according to Pharoah, occurred about a week before Ahmaud’s tragic video surfaced.
After posting the video, you can see Pharoah face down on the street, as four officers surround him. As he stretches his arms out, as instructed, an officer puts his knee on Pharoah’s neck as he cuffs him.
According to the cops, the actor/comedian “fit the description” of a wanted man. He was later released after dispatch informed them Pharoah wasn’t the suspect.
“Google right now Jay Pharoah, you will see that you made a big mistake.”
Pharoah goes on to share that he had never been handcuffed before, and that growing up in a sheltered household in the suburbs, he had never experienced racism up close.
He ends his post with a couple of sentiments, “I’m Jay Pharoah and I”m a Black man in America, and my life matters. Black lives always matter. They always matter.”
The Delaware collective known as Judgemental Records, is known in their home region for their street edge sound, as well as their business grind. Judgemental Records is steadily building a solid catalog of music with artists like N.O. The Enlightened One and now G.K.
Combining East Coast tempo with a down South flavor and demeanor, G.K. embodies the many aspects of Hip-Hop that today’s listeners have come to love from both rappers on the East Coast and in the South.
The new video was directed by House Visionz and was filmed at The Wilmington Delaware Riverfront. With their new albums, website, and laser focus on making noise in the industry, Judgemental Records has a solid future. Here’s new music from G.K.
And with a series of tweets he has laid a plan to get Hollywood straight and exact.
In one tweet he wanted people to know that he is not against all of “Tinseltown,” but there is a thread of racism in the industry that has contributed to the oppression of people of color.
“Of course I’m not against Hollywood all together. But the truth is, they are COMPLACENT in steadily pushing a narrative of RACISM to the world about who we are as BLACK PEOPLE, on the screen and behind the scenes. They owe us and the AMERICA a chance to see who we really are.”

He continued by pointing to Tyler Perry as a person to be supported by Black people, and as an example for the big studios to consider when they make up for exploiting our community.
“My brother Tyler Perry has an incredible studio in Atlanta, but he had to built that was this own two hands. I believe the major studios owe the BLACK COMMUNITY our own studio. Paid for by the Majors all together. We’re we can do our own films without any outside influences.”

(AllHipHop News) Raz Simone, the lyricist responsible for “They Don’t Understand,” is showing people what happens when people are pushed to their end and have to set up their own systems of justice.
But Fox News is painting a different narrative.
The Seattle rapper was caught on film allegedly roughing someone up for painting graffiti in the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ).
The video made some people believe that he and his colleagues are trying to start their own nation, as a protest against outrageous policing in Seattle.
Ever since the current wave of civil unrest has washed over the country, many cities have expressed outrage at the way black and brown people have been treated. In Seattle, the protesters have taken over about six-blocks, around the Seattle Police Department’s East Precinct.
In a scene straight out of “Lord of the Flies,” the protesters seemed to have rejected elected governance and named their own leaders. One of the leaders is supposedly Raz Simone, who is about enforcing the rules of the land … and doing it with unbelievable force.
It has been reported that Simone can be seen in CHAZ armed with an AK-47 and a handgun, but in a video, he says that he is legally able to carry and discourages others from doing so.
This YouTube video flatly disproves the idea that he is out here instigating Helter Skeltah. You can see him asking for people with the right to carry arms – and their paperwork proving so – to go towards the outskirts of the zone to protect the masses.
While those who are occupying the CHAZ are comfortable with their appointed leadership, some are saying that Raz is losing his mind with power. Could Raz Simone be more like a warlord, than a community leader? Could he just be sick and tired of being sick and tired?
While this seems like a little thing going on in Seattle, the movement that the CHAZ protesters are involved in is really real and could lead to him to getting in serious trouble with the feds, if it can be proven that he is an anarchist and revolutionist.
Tucker Carlson took to his Fox News platform to attack the 30-year-old rapper to push that thought.
“ … the nation of CHAZ to get its first warlord and it was quite a promotion for him. Just a week ago Raz Simone was an up and coming rapper. He was also a Super Host for AirBNB. Now, he is a monarch,” Tucker Carlson fumed.
Carlson ponders how these people can start a nation, within a nation. The irony strangles more than the New York summer heat.
Does the FOX News pundit not see that America was started by people creating their own nation, after being dissatisfied by the governance of the empire?
Clear on the treasonous narrative being set, Raz Simone wants everyone to know he is simply protesting and acting within his constitutional rights.
He says bluntly on the digital megaphone known as Twitter, “I am an American Citizen.”
(AllHipHop News) Reggie Hudlin will helm a virtual town hall meeting on Google-owned platform to engage top artists and celebrities to tackle the issue of police involved-violence.
On June 13th, YouTube will launch an important conversation regarding race relations in America.
The YouTube Originals called “Bear Witness, Take Action” aims to “unite and inspire the platform’s global community to take action for racial justice.”
For an hour and a half, Academy Award-winner Common and Emmy nominated Keke Palmer will engage YouTube creators, artists, influential public figures and prominent activist voices about their thoughts on the social unrest that the world is currently experiencing.
“Bear Witness, Take Action” will be structured with roundtable discussions and panels, powerful live moments, musical tributes, and more.
Moderators include Jemele Hill, Roland S. Martin, and Soledad O’Brien, while panelists lined up include Ambers Closet, Kimberlé Crenshaw, Patrisse Cullors, Kimberly N. Foster, Alicia Garza, Roxane Gay, Eddie Glaude, Andrew Hawkins, Kimberly Jones, and others.
This will be YouTube’s first project from their $100M content fund dedicated to amplifying Black voices.
“The execution of George Floyd – and Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery – has led to unprecedented protests for racial justice in every part of our nation–and globally. And it started in part because 17-year-old Darnella Frazier defiantly and courageously recorded the video that has forced us all to confront what we were seeing and name it,” explained Malika Saada Saar, a civil and human rights lawyer and Social Impact Human Rights Lead at YouTube. “Video can be a powerful human rights tool, for bearing witness to injustice and ‘Bear Witness, Take Action’ will be part of that hope and urgent call for change.”
Also, the event won’t just be a bunch of talking and pontification. There will be performances from John Legend and Trey Songz.
The show, which also will serve as a fundraiser for Bryan Stevenson’s Equal Justice Initiative, is set to premiere on Saturday at 6:00 pm ET / 3:00 pm PT.
(AllHipHop News) Lebron James and Kevin Hart are teaming up to form a voting rights group to ensure African-Americans can get to the polls.
Following the death of George Floyd at the hands of police last month and the subsequent Black Lives Matter protests, as well as chaos at the polls in primary elections in Georgia on Tuesday, James has convened a group of sports and entertainment figures like Hart to help black voters.
The organization, called More Than a Vote, will focus on inspiring African-Americans to register and to cast a ballot in November’s presidential election, but also tackle any efforts to suppress the black vote by making it difficult to get to the polls.
“Because of everything that’s going on, people are finally starting to listen to us – we feel like we’re finally getting a foot in the door,” the basketball legend tells the New York Times. “How long is up to us. We don’t know. But we feel like we’re getting some ears and some attention, and this is the time for us to finally make a difference.”
The Los Angeles Lakers star, who expressed his fury on Twitter that black voters in Georgia seemed to have to wait longer in line than those in majority-white districts, says he will also be looking out for any tactics aimed at keep African-Americans away from the polling booth.
“Yes, we want you to go out and vote, but we’re also going to give you the tutorial,” James adds. “We’re going to give you the background of how to vote and what they’re trying to do, the other side, to stop you from voting.”
Republican politicians in multiple states have been accused of attempting to make it more difficult for people of color to vote, using voter ID laws as well as providing worse polling facilities in certain districts.
In addition to James and Hart, the sportsman’s NBA colleagues Trae Young, Jalen Rose, Draymond Green, and Udonis Haslem are involved in the initiative, as well as women’s NBA player Skylar Diggins-Smith. They also hope to sign up musicians and other entertainers to the project.
(AllHipHop News) Rapper Stormzy has pledged a huge $12 million to organizations tackling racial inequality and justice reform, insisting it is the start of a “lifetime commitment.”
The cash will be spread out over 10 years as part of a long-term strategy to combat systematic racism and level the playing field for black people in British society.
In a statement, the “Heavy Is the Head” rapper said: “The uncomfortable truth that our country continuously fails to recognize and admit, is that black people in the UK have been at a constant disadvantage in every aspect of life – simply due to the color of our skin.
“I’m lucky enough to be in the position I’m in and I’ve heard people often dismiss the idea of racism existing in Britain by saying ‘If the country’s so racist how have you become a success?!’ and I reject that with this: I am not the UK’s shining example of what supposedly happens when a black person works hard.”
The huge donation from the Brit award-winning rapper and his #Merky team comes after he attended a Black Lives Matter protest demonstration in London over the weekend.
“There are millions of us. We are not far and few. We have to fight against the odds of a racist system stacked against us and designed for us to fail from before we are even born,” he continued. “Black people have been playing on an uneven field for far too long and this pledge is a continuation in the fight to finally try and even it.”
Stormzy and his #Merky organization, which houses a record label and a publishing company, added it will “remain devoted to improving and safeguarding the lives of those within the black community”, and insisted that “this is just the beginning of our lifetime commitment to financially and wholeheartedly back these causes.”
Young S.H.O has been doing music since the young age of 5, and he hasn’t let his foot off the gas pedal one bit.
By age 11, he recorded his first record titled “SCHOOL IS COOL.”
By age 14, he joined a rap group named MOB and shut down stages and talent shows all over Atlanta and South Carolina. By age 17, he joined another group titled M80 and released multiple mixtapes.
Since then, he’s shifted his focus to his own artistry, creating his own imprint titled SPL Entertainment.
Regardless, he remains passionate, hard-working, dedicated, and disciplined. Earlier this year, S.H.O. returned with his hardest song to date: “More Then You Have” featuring Texas’ own Sauce Walka.
With over 27.5K followers on Instagram alone, real name Shannon Deonte Collins plans to take over the rap game. Listen to the banger above!
(AllHipHop News) Newark rapper Tsu Surf recently dropped his new project MSYKM on Raw Breed Entertainment/ Foundations Distribution.
MSYKM is Tsu Surf’s best offering yet, eclipsing his previous work both in the depth of context and diverse production.
Featuring artists like G Herbo, Mozzy, Jim Jones, Benny the Butcher, Lady London, Justin Love, Dave East, Gourdon, Earthquake Jones, and BBY HNDRXX, the lead single “5’7” will surely engage fans as the perfect follow up to his 2019 smash, “What Changed?” off his breakout album, Seven 25.
The Executive Production team of Sharke and Clicquot oversaw the project using the angst of 2020 —the death of Kobe Bryant, Pop Smoke, the coronavirus, and the tragic police-involved murders of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, to shape a complicatedly genius piece of art.
Surf shines best in angst.
Each of his albums since his 2012 debut has a thread of extreme highs and emotional lows that has kept him locked into a variety of experiences, allowing him to create songs that resonate with people from the hood, in college, battle rap fans, Hip-Hop enthusiasts and anyone that appreciates strong story-telling.
His last solo studio album, produced after the artist almost lost his life, is an example of this.
In addition to “What Changed?,” a sing-songy cross-over track that enjoyed rotation on top market radio like New York’s Hot 97, Seven 25 yielded a hood bop entitled, “My Mother’s House,” that triumphantly shifted the narrative that says battle rappers are not true artists and can’t make commercial hits.
While this top of the year offering gave the world several looks at how dope an artist Surf is, the fall release of his joint mixtape “Blood Cuzzins” on Empire with West Coast rapper, Mozzy gave him the most looks in his musical career, with songs like “Symbolize,” “Last Weekend,” and “Couldn’t Do It,” setting him up for 2020 single releases like “Regular Day” and Arsonal da Rebel’s “Proceed with Caution” featuring Wyclef Jean, Tsu Surf and Shotgun Suge.
Tsu Surf will also be launching the Raw Bunch store with bundles including exclusive merch, posters, books, CDs, tickets, and other goodies for fans from both his commercial world and battle rap.
(AllHipHop Features) “Da 5 Bloods” is the latest film by director Spike Lee who is coming off of an Academy Award win for 2018’s stellar “Black KKKlansmen”. Spike has crafted yet another incredible film here with several different layers to unravel over its sprawling 2.5 hour runtime. This film serves as an intense vietnam war story, a treasure hunt/action film, a complex character study, and a timely commentary surrounding issues of race, oppression, politics, and war-based themes through Spike’s lens.
After a fiery opening montage featuring archival footage of Black Leaders from the 60’s speaking out against the war intercut with real war footage, the film jumps into gear. The movie follows four VietNam fighters: “Paul” (Delroy Lindo), “Melvin” (Isiah Whitlock, Jr.), “Eddie” (Norm Lewis) & “Otis” (Clarke Peters). These men forged a Brotherhood when they served together back in Vietnam and unite back together in present-day for a purpose.
In a current day setting, the men, joined by Paul’s son, return to Vietnam nearly 50 years later to search for the remains of their squad leader, “Stormin’ Norman” (Chadwick Boseman). In addition, they are looking to locate a treasure trunk of gold bars they obtained during the war and buried with the intention of returning to retrieve one day.
While the action and quest for the treasure alone make for exciting viewing, what’s even more fascinating to watch is the dialogue, diatribes, debates and thoughtful conversations that unfurl on Black Soldiers serving in Vietnam, Race in America and how the trauma of the war has taken a toll on the four veterans. In addition, it’s also interesting to see how their presence alone back in Vietnam opens old wounds as they encounter old memories and characters from their time there.
The film has various subplots and jumps between timelines of the present-day and the era of the Vietnam War. This storytelling structure works well, and while I understand what Spike is doing with a certain choice in the Vietnam scenes, I can also see how it could be a distraction or temporarily throw someone off from the story at hand. In terms of the action throughout “Da 5 Bloods”, it’s handled with competent care, is full of tension, violence, and portrayed in a realistic way.
Spike’s distinct directorial style is on full display here as he continues to blend a mix of real & archived footage into the film, utilizes well-timed close-up shots, as well as showcasing his signature filmaking technique: “the dolly shot”. One other effective tool Spike used was that he filmed the movie in three different aspect ratios. The dimensions of various sequences you’re looking at change depending on the mood, tone, or level of emotion involved.
“Da 5 Bloods” has a wonderful score, a soulful soundtrack (thanks to Marvin Gaye) and features amazing performances across the board from the whole cast. In particular, a long time Spike Lee collaborator, Delroy Lindo, gives a career-best performance as a veteran with PTSD that simply can’t be overlooked. As for Spike Lee, he is on top of his game and continues to solidify his status as one of Hollywood’s all-time great directors. It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see this film receive several Award Nominations, including “Best Picture”, a “Best Director” nomination for Lee and a “Best Actor” nomination for Delroy Lindo.
“Da 5 Bloods” is a moving film that features action, emotion, sharp dialogue, great acting, and poignant commentary on the issues of race that are as timely and relevant today as they’ve ever been. This one comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Compton rapper YG dropped the highly anticipated visuals for his new protest anthem “FTP.”
The acronym stand for “f### the police” and was inspired by N.W.A.’s 1989 hit song of the same name.
YG’s focuses on a variety of injustices inflicted upon the local Los Angeles community at the hands of cops, as protests stretch into their fourth week, over the death of George Floyd at the hands of police in Minneapolis.
YG shot an epic video for “FTP” during a huge protest in Los Angeles last weekend, which drew over 10,000 people.
(AllHipHop News) Dave Chappelle has addressed the killing of George Floyd and the subsequent Black Lives Matter protests in a set that took place in Ohio earlier this month.
The video, titled “8:46,” was filmed on June 6th, at his “Dave Chapelle and Friends: A Talk with Punchlines” show, in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and was shared on Netflix’s YouTube channel on Friday.
Throughout the performance Chappelle referenced the 8 minutes and 46 seconds, the length of time former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on Floyd’s neck during his attempted arrest, eventually killing him.
“I can’t get that number out of my head because it was my time of birth on my birth certificate,” Chappelle said. “I was born at 8:46 in the morning and they killed this n##ga in 8 minutes and 46 seconds.”
He also blasted CNN broadcaster Don Lemon for calling out celebrities for not speaking out on George Floyd’s murder.
“I’m watching Don Lemon…he says where are these celebrities?…Has anyone listened to me do comedy, has anyone not listened to me say these things before?
“So now all of a sudden this n##ga expects me to step in front of the streets and talk over the work these people are doing as a celebrity…This is the streets talking for themselves, they don’t need me right now,” he continued. “Why would anyone care what their favorite comedian thinks when they saw a police officer kneel on a man’s neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds.”
Chappelle later took aim at conservative commentator Candace Owens for characterizing Floyd as a criminal, calling her a “rotten b##ch” and “the worst.”
“I can’t think of a worse way to make money,” he blasted. “She’s the most articulate idiot I have ever seen in my f##king life. She’s so articulate that she’ll tell you how f##king stupid she is.”
Candace replied today, applauding Chappelle’s sense of humor, while ripping the Democrats.
To every Democrat tweeting me the clip of #DaveChappelle insulting me:
I’m not a leftist. I have a sense of humor & I think comedians SHOULD make fun of people.
Dave Chappelle is one of the greatest comedians of all time and I made it into one of his specials.
The 46-year-old’s show was the first in-person, concert/comedy show in the U.S. since Covid-19. Social distancing was observed with attendees seated in pairs, and wearing masks, with no alcohol available to encourage adherence to the rules.
We’ve arrived too suddenly into a culture where people can’t laugh at themselves, or want to restrain comedians.
I will never be a part of that culture. @DaveChappelle —you are legend and I’d love to meet you and challenge you to say any of that to my face! 😂
