R.A. The Rugged Man – From Long Island To Berlin

R.A. The Rugged Man knows his worth in the rap game, and he’s got the bars to prove it. The New York native is a rapper, screenwriter, film director and producer whose career began at the young age of 12. Known for his impeccable lyricism, born R.A. Thorburn has worked with the elites from Mobb Deep to Wu-Tang Clan and even the late great Notorious B.I.G.

Off the rip, R.A. flexes his confidence.

“I’ve been good, better than most rappers alive for decades. I’m respected by most of the greats in the decades. I don’t know if that means s##t anymore,” he adds with a chuckle.

While he’s been signed to various labels throughout his decades-long career, R.A. continues to release music for the underground hip-hop lovers to the mainstream. Now following his debut album Die, Rugged Man, Die and 2013’s Legends Never Die, he returns with his third studio album All My Heroes Are Dead.

AllHipHop caught up with R.A. who was wrapping up a long day overseas in Berlin, after having to get his babies up at 6 in the morning.

AllHipHop: Being from Long Island, New York, what was the household like growing up?

R.A. The Rugged Man: Suffolk County, Long Island was a different thing because hip-hop was in the Bronx, then moved to Manhattan, Harlem, Brooklyn obviously. Brooklyn claims Grandmaster Flowers because he was doing the disco DJ. Everybody claims hip-hop even though the Bronx is known known. Long Island, we had to go extra hard. I saw a lot of people in the neighborhood be better than all the rappers on the planet. We had Rakim , De La Soul, EMPD, Public Enemy, Chuck D, all of the best. When I was a little kid, I thought “wow these dudes EMPD are in the same studio, these people are famous.” Biz Markie would be there, he’s from everywhere. All these rap superstars were right in the area.

AllHipHop: When did you relocate to Berlin, Germany?

R.A. The Rugged Man: I moved here in 2016 when my daughter was born. Their mother is a schoolteacher, so I’m trying to raise my kids out here. It’s good. The good thing is the healthcare system is better obviously, everything’s taken care of. If they want to go to free college, they could get the free college out here. They’re dual citizens so if they want to remain Germans, they have to pay a super higher tax when they get older. [chuckles]

AllHipHop: What’s the music scene like out there?

R.A. The Rugged Man: It’s huge! My guys Kool Savas, Samy Deluxe, these guys are legends out here. You can go to a Kool Savas show, it’ll be 15,000 people flooding the place. I’m like “you bring way more people to your show in your hometown than any of my New York people bring to New York. If Nas did a show in New York by himself, less people would come than you doing a show in Berlin.” It’s crazy how they support their own music.

AllHipHop: Are you guys on lockdown over there?

R.A. The Rugged Man: You’re allowed to go to the store to buy groceries, but yeah. You’re allowed to walk around with your kids, but you’re not allowed to be in groups. Four or five kids walk around drinking beer, the cops try to look for them like “yo, you’re not allowed to do that.”

AllHipHop: How are you adjusting to quarantine life?

R.A. The Rugged Man: When I release an album, I always hit the road heavy. I have European tour planned, a US tour planned, another European tour planned, a Canadian tour planned. We’re also looking into Australia. The thing is your body prepares for that, but you’re also mostly preparing to not be around your kids as much. Now that I’m home and quarantined, I wake up to my children every day. They love daddy being home. I lost a lot of money that they’d be able to have after I’m dead but in the meantime, they’re getting the memories of being with me. There’s two sides to that. [chuckles]

AllHipHop: Do you feel like real hip-hop is hard to be seen nowadays?

R.A. The Rugged Man: Yes, take a project like mine. Everything when it comes to even magazines, when you’re connected with the right marketing team or managers, you do favors for the right people. If you cover an artist, that’s more favors for you. When you‘re independent like some of us, we depend 1000% on the fans. With the internet, it’s awesome because we can outsell.

The biggest rap songs in America that I see everybody talking about, we outsold in the UK. We outsold that in Australia. In America, the whole capitalistic mindstate and the trend is hot hot hot. The rest of the world doesn’t care if you tell them “this is the hot s##t only.” They’re like “yo this is a classic, let me check it out.” Whether it’s film, just art period. The rest of the world’s quicker to not have to be told to like the trendy thing.

AllHipHop: What do you want fans to get from your new album All My Heroes Are Dead?

R.A. The Rugged Man: I laid it all out on the table there. I put a lot of real life stories, a lot of life into that record. Everybody who hears it knows that I put it all out on the table. The fans who actually take the time to sit down and listen to that record, they go crazy. The response has been astronomical. My job’s not “how can we get the Taylor Swift fans to really like this song?” It’s more these heads are waiting for that real s##t. If you drop some D-level s##t, they’re going to let you know. They’ll kick you in your ass for years, “remember all that hype behind that record and that s##t was whack?!”

AllHipHop: What does it mean to drop a song like “Golden Oldies” during this time?

R.A. The Rugged Man: That was a fun record. I have a song called “Malice Of Mammon” with Chuck D where we talk about the more government gains, it creates fear. The more government gains power, who do we trust? We wrote that before the quarantine. I’m not predicting s##t, it’s been going on forever. Now that they’re seeing it happen, they say “oh that’s prophetic.” I’ve been getting so much love. All my favorite OG rappers have been hitting me up saying “wow, omg. You inspire me.”

Logic hit me up to say “this album’s a masterpiece, I’d like to chop it up. I can’t believe what a masterpiece you created, you need to be proud.” The young boys are hitting me up, the OGs are hitting me up. We did pretty good with it. Doing it independently, we don’t have the big push for the first week so we have to keep creating visuals. We usually create tour after tour with the visuals to promote a record for a year or two, because we don’t have the money to throw it out there. We have to work it, let the fans come as the years go by. My records sell year after year, they don’t stop. They don’t make a big first week splash because we aren’t getting any of the mainstream media. In other countries, we do good with the media. [chuckles]

AllHipHop: How has your relationship with Slug developed over the years?

He said the first time he met me, he saw me bullying the bar staff at a bar. [laughs] He was scared of me, wanted to introduce me but he’s like “I’m okay, I’ll get him another time.” He said I randomly hit him up like “yo I’m working on a soundtrack, would you like to be involved?” He’s like “wtf, alright let’s talk.” He said that’s what started it.

The trend took time for people, they don’t understand there’s artists all over the world. You take somebody like Slug, if they do a college concert, they’re outselling every mainstream artist. I’ve been to Slug concerts where he outsold Lauryn Hill and Ice Cube, outsold everybody. The whole college is packed, you can’t even walk in the s##t. That’s a little independent kid from Minneapolis, he started doing 300 shows a year. He didn’t have to be mainstream to push them. Him and his little crew would go to your town, perform until he could ask for more money than all of them.

AllHipHop: You say “you’re going to be the best of every decade.” Can you expand on that? What’s it going to take to get there?

R.A. The Rugged Man: Oh yes, I’ll slaughter all of these f##king b##ch ass, want to be fake ass rappers. All of them, everyday. Hip-hop has always been a competitive sport from day one. It wasn’t about making records, it’s about going to the party, obliterating, being the best. Being the most memorable act of the night. Now if youc ome out saying “f##k rappers, I’m the best” or “I’ll kill that rapper,” all of a sudden you’re a hater. You’re this, you’re that. Being competitive is looked at as hate now. No motherf##kers, rappers and MCs came from competing. Being better than you, working harder to be better than that guy. If you put me on a stage with that rapper, I don’t care how many records he sold, I’ll obliterate that rapper. That’s what it always was. Now, “oh you’re just jealous because…” I’m not talking about me, they’ll say this to every rapper. “Oh, Locksmith doesn’t have hits like little twatbag…” Excuse my language.

AllHipHop: Top 5 artists in rotation?

R.A. The Rugged Man: What’s funny, I get the same Top 5’s for a lot of years. I listen to Black Thought, he had The same Top 5. The Rakim’s, the Daddy Kane’s, the Kool G’s, Chuck D’s, the KRS-One’s, basically that. If you want to go old school, you got Grandmaster Caz and those guys who were really changing everything. If you want to go more late 80’s and 90’s, you have the Redman’s and the Busta’s. Stage performances, Method and Red together as a duo stomped motherf##kers. They know how to kill flows, kill vocal tones, dance. They have their routines together and put on a show.

Everything changes. The reason why people always give it to Kool G Rap is because of longevity. How are you one of the best on the planet in 1986, and you can rap better than everybody in 1986? Then you could rap better than everybody in 1996, then in 2006. How do you do that for 40 f##king years? Is that even human? That’s not rap, people don’t do that in rap. They can’t beat everybody for 40 years. Kane might not be bar for bar as longevity, but prime for prime, Kane’s live show obliterates so many rappers.

AllHipHop: Anything else you want to let us know?

R.A. The Rugged Man: All My Heroes Are Dead out now, there’s legendary icons all over it. The solo records are the hottest ones with the icons, track after track after track. If you like boom bap in the hip-hop culture, there’s not a soul that won’t f##k with it. We gave it everything we had, it’s legend after legend proved on this one.

Tekashi Finally Apologizes For Being A Snitch, But There’s A Catch!

(AlHipHop Rumors) Tekashi 69 is really pushing the narrative of his story these days, not the streets. And he put himself on IG Live for the first time today to say sorry and plead. his case to fans.

Here is what he said:

“”I’m sorry to my fans because they don’t deserve. To my family to my mother my family don’t deserve that and I’m sorry but y’all not gon’ break me down like if I did something wrong. Listen, I snitched I ratted but who was I supposed to be loyal to?” he reasoned. “If you can’t be loyal to me out here in the free world and you f###### my baby mom while I’m out on tour making money for all of us you back at home sleeping with my baby mom and then I get kidnapped then you try to kill me. If you can’t be loyal to me out here in the free world. What makes you think if I would have held it down you wouldn’t violate me in the prison. Stab me up, poke me up in my neck.”

The crazy thing is, he had over a million views on his IG Live. I guess this is basically a broken silence sort of thing. He’s not special. Sammie The Bull ratted. Alpo ratted. Whitey Bulger was a rat. Nicki Barnes ratted! Nothing to see here people! The only thing is Tekashi is about to go down in history as the first rat rap star!

It’s going down!

Tekashi 6ix9ine Returns To Taunt Rivals; Proclaims Himself King Of New York

(AllHipHop News) Rap star Tekashi 6ix9ine returned to Instagram today (May 6th) and attracted some serious numbers.

In his first public statements since his arrest in November of 2018, Tekashi 6ix9ine flaunted millions in jewelry, bragged about his luxury cars, taunted his rivals, and proclaimed himself the King of New York.

“I wouldn’t be able to sleep. I don’t blame you ni##a. I don’t blame you. I would be mad too. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Like, I’m genuinely sorry. And another thing I want to address,” Tekashi 6ix9ine said. “For the King of New York s##t, let’s cut that out. Little boy sit down. If you don’t got this watch… I’m not beefing with anybody from New York, if you don’t got this watch. If you don’t got this watch right here, you’re a little boy to me. I’ll kiss you on your forehead. You a little boy. Sit down. King’s home. It’s over. It’s over.”

Over 2 million people tuned in as Tekashi 6ix9ine defended his decision to testify against 11 members of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods during a blockbuster trial in September of 2019.

Tekashi 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, provided extensive information to the Feds on the operations of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, to receive a reduced sentence.

Last month, he was released from a private prison and permitted to serve the rest of his sentence under house arrest, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“You live your whole life trying to be a real n##ga, trying to be a standup tall loyal guy, to try to s##t on a kid like me to be like, ‘Yo, f##k that. He’s a rat. He’s a rat. He’s a rat. He’s a rat.’ To be like, ‘Yo, he ratted.’ To then a rat like me to come home and still do more numbers than you. I would be mad too.”

The rapper labeled Kifano “Shotti” Jordan and other members of Nine Trey as the ones who were disloyal first, by stealing his money, attempting to abduct his mother, and ultimately, kidnapping the rapper himself.

Tekashi 6ix9ine thanked his lawyer Lance Lazzaro, as well as judge Paul Engelmayer, who approved his release.

Tekashi 6ix9ine also apologized to his fans, for sticking with him through the whole legal drama.

“I’m sorry. I want to say that I’m sorry to my fans, because you know what? It wasn’t worth it. It wasn’t,” Tekashi 6ix9ine said.

Earlier today, Tekashi 6ix9ine released his brand new single and video “GOOBA,” which is already racked up millions of views on social media.

Meek Mill And Tekashi Beef Over The Internet

(AllHipHop Rumors) Well, if the Twilight Zone 2020 just rolls right on. This time a rapper that snitched actually owns his transgression in all of its glory. Tekashi 69 is back and he’s calling himself a rat.

He’s kissing a dog? Wow!

Anyway, here we go. Not too many people have said anything, but Meek Mill is speaking out. First of all, he called the new song “trash,” but to me, it’s standard Tekashi music.  What says you, people?

Meek continued, “Now you just a informant behind a keyboard tryna troll families you ruined so it’s not gone hit the same. And by the way I’m doing this for my ‘sons’ so you won’t be around to impact their lives ever!!!”

As you all know, 6ix9ine testified against his brothers in Nine Trey Bloods, sending to jail for a very long time. Tekkie also got out of jail earlier than normal because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Tekashi clapped back in a most reasonable way: Meek shouldn’t be concerned with a rainbow-haired rat like him. “Imagine having a new born baby come into the world and be pressed about a Mexican with rainbow hair,” 6ix9ine said.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Kisses Dog While Girls Twerk In New Video “GOOBA”

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine maybe the most infamous rapper in history, but he still has a huge fan base.

The rapper debuted his brand new video “GOOBA” to his 15 million followers, and within minutes the video and racked up over 2 million views on Instagram alone.

Tekashi 6ix9ine shot a creative new video for the single under house arrest, add an undisclosed location where he is finishing up house arrest as part of his sentence for a RICO conspiracy case.

The video for “GOOBA” features 6ix9ine mouth kissing a Dalmatian, surrounded by scantily clad women twerking in rainbow colored outfits.

50 Cent Shows Emotion Over Strained Relationship With His Son

(AllHipHop News) 50 Cent is sad his rap success has “cost” him his relationship with his firstborn after accusing his son of taking his privileged upbringing for granted.

The “In Da Club” hitmaker, real name Curtis Jackson, has been estranged from Marquise for some time after feuding for years with both the 23-year-old and his mother, Shaniqua Tompkins.

50 insists he never had any problem paying his ex-child support for their boy, but he took issue with Tompkins’ alleged refusal to get a job and for failing to step in when the kid became a teen and began developing expensive tastes – and reportedly expected his famous father to pay for everything.

“It’s a sad situation. When you pray for success, you don’t necessarily pray for the things that come with it. It’s no such thing as success without jealousy, without envy or entitlement (sic).”

“His mom developed an entitlement that cannot be met… So, while being a privileged child, he feels deprived when you had everything I didn’t have…,” the hip-hop star added.

And 50 confesses he no longer has any love for Marquise.

Asked if he loves his eldest son, he replied, “I used to… How long can you love someone who don’t love you back?

“So in this experience, I didn’t think success would cost me my firstborn, but it’s the situation.”

Although 50 doesn’t keep in touch with Marquise, he is close to his seven-year-old son Sire, whom he fathered with model Daphne Joy.

Princess Love And Ray J DUNZO

(AllHipHop News) Singer and TV personality Ray J and his wife, Princess Love, have given up on their four-year marriage – she has filed for divorce.

Princess filed legal documents on Thursday in Los Angeles, according to The Blast.

The couple wed in August 2016, and their daughter, Melody, was born in May 2018.

Rumors suggesting the couple was on the outs have been rampant for months ever since Ray J left his pregnant wife and daughter in Las Vegas after the family attended the BET Soul Train Awards together in November.

They split over the holidays but publicly reconciled following the birth of their son, Epik, in December.

The couple’s issues have been widely covered on reality show “Love And Hip Hop,” and Ray J has reportedly been self-isolating away from his wife and kids in recent weeks during the coronavirus lockdown – at his wife’s request.

The “One Wish” singer recently revealed he has been holed up in a hotel 10 minutes away from the family’s Los Angeles home, as Princess has enforced strict rules about social interactions.

Ray told Page Six he has been ordered to enter quarantine for at least seven days each time he ignores social distancing guidelines and mingles with people he isn’t living with, just to be sure he doesn’t put Princess or their kids at risk of contracting COVID-19. And she’s been keeping a close eye on his activities via social media.

“I’m lonely right now. I don’t want to quarantine by myself,” he complained. “I keep telling Princess, but she says, ‘If I see one person over there with you, you got to start over.’ So I really have to lock myself in, because I really miss my kids.”

Good News…Tupac Shakur Got His Unemployment Check

(AllHipHop News) Tupac Shakur can finally breathe a sigh of relief, now that he has received his unemployment check.

A pretty bizarre incident unfolded earlier this month when Kentucky’s Governor Andy Beshear made a public announcement claiming the unemployment system was being abused.

He made the accusations after learning about a claim filed in the name of Tupac Shakur and assumed the application was fraudulent.

As it turns out, Tupac Shakur was an actual is an actual person, who claimed he was being unfairly oppressed and targeted.

Governor Beshea eventually issued an apology to Tupac, who accepted.

According to the WHAS11, Tupac’s benefit claim came through this week, granting the former cook some much-needed financial relief.

Tupac Shakur is among the 20.5 million Americans who have lost their job, and/or filed for unemployment benefits due to the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.

Nicki Minaj Convinces Fans She’s Pregnant Again

(AllHipHop News) Rap star Nicki Minaj set Twitter on fire yesterday during a Q&A, with statements leading many to believe she is pregnant.

Nicki answered some questions from fans last night (May 7th) to promote her new “Say So” remix with Doja Cat.

A common thread throughout her answers during Q&A seemed to be Nicki’s diet, cravings and what many people assumed were sure signs of morning sickness.

Her fans quickly caught on to the clues and began asking her if she was pregnant.

This would be at least the fourth time fans assumed Nicki Minaj was carrying a child.

In 2017, Nicki tweeted out a baby emoji but later admitted the tweet was for a project she was cooking up.

In 2018, the same rumor started to spread around the internet, but it too turned out to be false.

Just last year, Nicki Minaj almost convinced fan she was pregnant again with a since-deleted tweet “expecting a…”

Whether she’s pregnant or not, the latest post suggests her relationship with her husband Kenneth Petty is rock solid.

Just last month, the “Barbz” went nuts when Nicki Minaj changed her display name from “Mrs. Petty” back to Nicki Minaj.

Rihanna’s Foundation, Big Sean’s Foundation & More Donate $3.2 Million To Detroit & Flint Organizations

(AllHipHop News) Robyn Rihanna Fenty’s Clara Lionel Foundation is once again working with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to address the COVID-19 crisis. They are now turning their attention to two cities in Michigan.

The Clara Lionel Foundation, Dorsey’s Start Small Fund, the David Rockefeller Fund, Lyft, the Stadler Family Foundation, and Big Sean’s Sean Anderson Foundation are donating an additional $3.2 Million in COVID-19 response grants to organizations based in Detroit and Flint.

Dorsey tweeted, “$3.2m for folks in Flint and Detroit. Focus is food and water access, rental help, bail relief, and help for domestic violence survivors, homeless, foster kids, immigrants and refugees.❤️”

Food Bank Council of Michigan, The Bail Project, Community Foundation of Greater Flint, Freedom House, Center for Popular Democracy Action Fund, Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency, and Southwest Counseling Solutions each received money via Start Small and the Clara Lionel Foundation.

Previously, Fenty and Dorsey teamed up to present $4.2 million to the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles in order to help domestic violence victims affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. So far, Start Small has contributed to Covenant House, Hispanic Federation Non-Profit Emergency Assistance Fund of Puerto Rico, The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, Bread of Life, Navajo Water Project, and other causes.

Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation also donated $5 million to charities working on coronavirus relief efforts in America, Malawi, Barbados, and other nations. Plus, the Barbadian singer partnered with Jay-Z’s Shawn Carter Foundation to donate $2 million in support of undocumented workers, healthcare workers, first responders, and vulnerable communities in LA and NYC.

Last month, Detroit native Big Sean was among the people that helped raise over $320,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan. The online charity event was organized to aid the BGCSM Virtual Club in providing daily programming and mental health breaks for youth 8-18 years old during the coronavirus quarantine period.

Lil Tjay To Present “State Of Emergency” 3D Experience Release Party & Bronx Defenders Fundraiser

(AllHipHop News) Tione “Lil Tjay” Merritt is among the Hip Hop artists that dropped a new project on May 8. The Bronx rhymer’s State Of Emergency is out via Columbia Records.

Tjay is set to celebrate with his hometown by partnering with Twitch to showcase the “State Of Emergency” 3D presentation. The “fully immersive listening experience” will include the teenage rapper moving throughout NYC while discussing and playing the mixtape.

“State Of Emergency” viewers will be able to donate to The Bronx Defenders, a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming how low-income people in the borough are represented in the justice system. In addition, Tjay commits to personally giving gift cards to help formerly incarcerated clients and their families buy essentials.

He is also providing masks for the Defenders as they fight for incarcerated individuals at high risk for health complications from COVID-19. Over 100 clients who were being held in jails and ICE detention have been released because of efforts by The Bronx Defenders.

“Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, low-income black and brown communities like the Bronx have been hit the hardest,” says Justine Olderman, Executive Director of Bronx Defenders. “This is a community that depends heavily on public transportation, encompasses countless essential workers, and is over criminalized into a legal system that crams people into jail cells where the virus is rampant.”

Olderman continues, “We are working tirelessly on behalf of our clients to stem the worst of this pandemic, but we can’t do it alone. We’re so thankful to have allies like Lil Tjay giving back to their community so that our clients can access basic necessities like protective masks, groceries, and medicine in this time of crisis. We will get through this if we continue having each other’s backs.”

Lil Tjay’s “State Of Emergency” 3D experience release party is scheduled for today at 7 pm ET at www.twitch.tv/liltjay. The State Of Emergency mixtape is now available with features by Pop Smoke, Fivio Foreign, Sheff G, Jay Critch, Sleepy Hallow, Jay Gwuapo, and J.I. The Prince of NY.

Posthumous Pop Smoke Verses Appear On New Projects By Nav & Lil Tjay

(AllHipHop News) Many fans are still processing the untimely passing of Bashar “Pop Smoke” Jackson. The rising New York City rapper was murdered on February 19 in California.

Three months after Jackson lost his life during a home invasion, more rhymes from the Brooklyn Drill spitter have come out. Nav’s Good Intentions and Lil Tjay’s State of Emergency dropped on May 8. Both projects feature vocals from Pop Smoke.

“Run It Up” by Toronto’s Nav includes Pop Smoke closing out the song. On “Zoo York,” the Bronx’s Lil Tjay also let Pop have the final verse with fellow Brooklyn representative Fivio Foreign handling the second verse.

Before his death, Pop Smoke released Meet the Woo in 2019 and Meet the Woo, Vol 2 in 2020. The latter commerical mixtape peaked at #7 on the Billboard 200. It currently maintains the #33 position after 12 weeks on the chart.

Trouble in the marriage became public late last year after Love accused Ray J of stranding her and their daughter in Las Vegas. She was pregnant with their second child at the time.

After the alleged Vegas incident hit the news, Ray J confirmed he got into an argument with his wife while in Nevada. However, he denied abandoning his family at that time.

Ray J and Princess Love’s first daughter, Melody, was born in May 2018. Their son, Epik, was born in January 2020. Their relationship played out on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood and on The Zeus Network’s The Conversation: Ray J & Princess Love.

Ahmaud Arbery’s Killers Have Been Arrested, Charged With Murder

(AllHipHop News) The Georgia two men that were complicit in the murder Ahmaud Arbery have been arrested and jailed.

The pair are looking at murder and assault charges, according to a report by CNN.

Gregory McMichael and son Travis McMichael were arrested and are expected to be booked at Glynn County Jail.

The arrests come after the murder, and some say the execution, of Arbery, who was jogging in a neighborhood near Brunswick on February 23. Arbery, 25, was hunted down by former cop Gregory McMichael and his son as they seemingly sought a person that committed a number of break-ins in their area.

A Glynn County Police report initially stated that Gregory McMichael, a 64-year-old with ties to the district attorney, told investigators that they thought Arbery was their guy.

Both men were armed and chased down Arbery in their pick-up truck. Travis McMichael, 34, approached the unarmed jogger with his shotgun. The pair began to struggle over the weapon and the result was Arbery’s death by shooting.

The initial report stated that two shots were fired, but, in a recent video of the slaying, three shots can be heard.

Wanda Jones,Arbery’s mother, said her son did no wrong and now thereis proof of that due to the footage that emerged this week.

“He was out for his daily jog and he was hunted down like an animal and killed. I’m hoping that all involved, they’re indicted and they go to jail,” she said.

The case has sparked outrage across the nation for the racial implications of two white men killing an African American.

LeBron James said, “We’re literally hunted EVERYDAY/EVERYTIME we step foot outside the comfort of our homes! Can’t even go for a damn jog man! Like WTF man are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?!? No man fr ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! I’m sorry Ahmaud (Rest In Paradise) and my prayers and blessings sent to the… heavens above to your family.”

He was close to Harlem rapper Dave East and he was signed to Nas’ Mass Appeal imprint.

According to local reports, a huge memorial gathering took place in Queensbridge to honor the rapper.

People were not following social distancing rules, so the cops moved and swarmed, and sealed off a local park where mourners had gathered and arrested at least three people for violations.
