EXCLUSIVE: Read A Letter R. Kelly “Allegedly” Sent To One Of His Victims

(AllHipHop News) Prosecutors are firing back at R. Kelly’s attempt to learn the names of two women who have accused him of sexual assault.

Prosecutors have been trying to keep the victims’ names shielded from R. Kelly, in fear of his reach from his cell in the Cook County Prison, where he is jailed on multiple Federal and state charges for abusing teenage girls and in some instances, grown women.

Last week, R. Kelly’s lawyer Steven Greenberg demanded the names of Jane Doe 2 and Jane Doe 3, who have accused him of molesting them as part of a 12-count RICO case against the singer.

R. Kelly’s lawyer complained that he cannot mount a proper defense without knowing the identities of his accusers.

Lead prosecutor Richard A. Donoghue proved his claims that the singer is hell-bent on exposing the women by presenting a sinister letter R. Kelly allegedly sent to Jane Doe 6.

According to Donoghue, R. Kelly has allegedly exploited his inability to read or write in a crusade to terrorize his victims by mailing them messages along with lewd, compromising pictures.

The screenshots included text messages between R. Kelly and Jane Doe #6, and were sent from his iPhone. The photographs included a

close-up picture of Jane Doe #6’s face and the top portion of her exposed breasts.

Another image displayed Jane Doe #6 kneeling on a bed with her butt exposed along with an ominous threat: “I assure you this would not be considered a Sunday go-to-meeting dress.”

“The defendant’s writing limitations do not shield him from direct association with this letter as, on its face, other associates of his were involved in mailing the letter and screenshots from the defendant’s iPhone were sent with the letter,” revealed Richard P. Donoghue.

“His literacy difficulties, of course, do not mean that the defendant is incapable of directing others to draft a threatening letter on his behalf or of being informed of and approving its specific contents,” Donoghue argued.

A judge has yet to rule.

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries Quotes The Notorious B.I.G. During Trump Impeachment Trial

(AllHipHop News) The words of Hip Hop legend The Notorious B.I.G. are officially part of Donald Trump’s impeachment trial in the United States Senate. House of Representatives impeachment manager Hakeem Jeffries [D-NY-8] quoted the late Brooklyn-bred emcee on Monday.

Trump’s lawyer, Jay Sekulow, asked, “Why are we here?” Jeffries responded to Sekulow by stating, “We are here, sir, because President Trump corruptly abused his power and then he tried to cover it up… That is why we are here Mr. Sekulow. And if you don’t know, now you know.”

That last sentence was a reference to Biggie’s classic 1994 single “Juicy” off the Ready To Die album. Jeffries represents New York’s 8th congressional district which includes the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens.

This is not the first time Rep. Jeffries showed love to Hip Hop culture in Congress. Back in 2017, he paid tribute to Biggie by reading the rapper’s lyrics on the floor of The House of Representatives. In 2018, Jeffries also honored female rappers – such as Lil Kim, Missy Elliott, and Nicki Minaj – in The House.

“The Box” is spending its second consecutive week atop the Hot 100, preventing Future’s new track “Life Is Good” featuring Drake (#2) from claiming the pole position. Ricch’s breakout hit also sits at #1 on the Streaming Songs chart for a third week.

With 77.2 million streams, the Atlantic recording artist scored the highest streaming total since Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Old Town Road” totaled 86.2 million streams in July 2019. Ricch’s 30 Roc-produced song saw an increase of 13% over the last week.

“The Box” is beginning to get radio play as well. The single entered the Radio Songs chart for the first time at #50. Plus, the Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial track sits at the pinnacle of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts.

(AllHipHop News) Drizzy Drake is one song away from having the most all-time entries on the Hot 100. The OVO megastar now has 207 career records on the Billboard chart.

The reality star is known for being very opinionated and meddling in other people’s business.

It is not said how many are responsible for the attack or what went down, but fortunately Karlie has been released from the hospital and is now in recovery mode.

Judge Explains Why Tekashi 6ix9ine Must Remain Behind Bars

(AllHipHop News) A judge just shot down Incarcerated rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine’s request to leave prison to serve his time at home.

The rapper made the bold request last week after he was hit with a two-year sentence for his role in a RICO case against the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

Last week, the “Gummo” rapper begged Judge Engelmayer to let him serve his sentence at home as a way to adjust to his “re-entry into the community.”

“A 24-month prison sentence is necessary in this case,” Judge Engelmayer ruled while noting that “Mr. Hernandez’s sentence reflects the seriousness of his crimes.”

Tekashi, born Daniel Hernandez, was originally facing 47 years in a federal penitentiary, but he managed to avoid 45 of them by testifying against his old gang buddies and sending them all to prison.

He is serving his sentence in an undisclosed prison in New York for his own safety.

No Justice For Prince? Wrongful Death Lawsuit Dismissed

(AllHipHop News) A wrongful death lawsuit filed by Prince’s heirs against a Minnesota doctor and pharmacy bosses in Illinois has been dismissed.

The “Purple Rain” singer’s family members launched civil action in 2018, claiming a doctor and pharmacist at Trinity Medical Center in Moline, Illinois, and two Minnesota-based pharmacists from chain store Walgreens contributed to the superstar’s death by failing to provide him with reasonable care.

In the documents, the heirs claimed a prescription drug overdose Prince had suffered a week before his April 2016 death was not diagnosed in a timely manner by staff at Trinity Medical Center, after he became unresponsive during a flight, forcing pilots to make an emergency landing in Moline to allow him to seek medical attention.

The suit suggested that had professionals given Prince appropriate counseling, he may not have died from an accidental overdose of powerful painkiller fentanyl just six days later.

The plaintiffs also took issue with pharmacists at two Walgreens branches in Minnesota for “dispensing prescription medications not valid for a legitimate medical purpose,” after the pain pills were prescribed to Prince’s bodyguard and assistant Kirk Johnson, on behalf of the musician.

Both claims were quietly dismissed in recent months, indicating a private settlement may have been reached.

Representatives for the late star’s family have declined to comment on the news or the reasons for the apparent settlements.

Prince was just 57 when he passed away at his Paisley Park compound in his native Minnesota on April 21, 2016.

No criminal charges were filed by authorities in the wake of the star’s death.

Social Media Makes Fun Of Russy Simmons AND Delonte West!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Some of you may notice that I have a very limited presence on social media. This is not an accident. I HATE THAT SH!T!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to try to do better but until that time, I HATE SOCIAL MEDIA! PERIOD!

Yesterday and today was more proof of why I hate social media so damn much. The women of the internet are pretty clear about shaming. SHAMING IS BAD! Lizzo was “shamed” for a myriad of reasons and others too. But now we see that Russy Simmons is the latest person to be publicly shamed and ridiculed for his looks. First of all, I don’t see anything wrong with lil homie’s looks (not that I judge looks period). He just looks very, very young, even though he is 22 now. That didn’t stop chicks from going in on him relentlessly! Now, the dude already looks very quiet and shy on his socials, based on what I have seen. I believe the person that started all of this has deleted the original offensive post.

The good thing is some have come to his defense.

I can’t find the image that sparked all this and that is probably for the best. I am going to keep it moving.

Remember Delonte West? He used to play in the NBA and went off the deep end and slept with LeBron James’s mother. Well, it has been all downhill since then. That was a long time ago and well…things have changed.

Look at this video!

CRAZY! I hope the dude gets help. A lot of stuff makes sense now!

There’s nothing funny about either of these guys. Get better!

No More Weed For DaBaby

(AllHipHop News) Rap newcomer DaBaby has given up his penchant for marijuana.

The “Suge” star, real name Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, shared the news with fans on Twitter, revealing he quit smoking weed at the start of 2020.

The revelation emerged after DaBaby posted a photo of himself posing for the camera while sitting on a couch, dressed up in a Louis Vuitton sweater, black pants, and a pink fedora, which he accessorized with diamond necklaces and bracelets.

After one follower claimed he looked “high” in the snap, DaBaby responded, “I haven’t smoked since the ball dropped.”

However, he did confess to feeling a little buzzed at the time the picture was taken, after having a few glasses of wine.

The MC’s cannabis comments emerge weeks after he was arrested on charges of weapons and marijuana possession following a concert in Charlotte, North Carolina last month.

Keyshia Cole Is Back On The Gram After Deactivating It Following O.T. Genesis Feud

(AllHipHop Rumors) After her ongoing feud with O.T. Genesis and him sampling her hit single, “Love” and making his own version including a music video, Keyshia decided to deactivate her Instagram. Only to reactivate it again…

The singer had deactivated her account for a few weeks following the backlash she received for not supporting the rapper’s rendition of her song. Cole was open about her feelings towards Genesis remixing her song saying she would like her classics to be left alone. Many felt like the singer was being shady and petty because the song was receiving a lot of attention.

After O.T.’s version was deleted off of YouTube, the rapper posted on Instagram that fans can now view the music video on pornhub.

I guess Keyshia had enough of him and his fans trolling her social media account and decided to deactivate her account I guess to get her mind right.

T.I. Talks Trap Music Museum’s First Female Exhibit Honoring Cardi B & Nicki Minaj

(AllHipHop News) The Atlanta Hip Hop industry came out to the Trap Music Museum to take part in the unveiling of a new exhibit celebrating the musical and cultural impact of two rap superstars. Both Cardi B and Nicki Minaj were honored with permanent installations at Tip “T.I.” Harris’ gallery.

“Ever since the Trap Music Museum opened, one of the most common questions posed to us was, ‘Why aren’t there any exhibits showcasing women?’ We were always committed to honoring women who contributed to the culture, but finally found a way to truly elevate and celebrate two of the best,” says Harris.

He continues, “The Nicki Minaj and Cardi B exhibits lift two of the greatest to their rightful place within the Trap Muzik Universe.” The Nicki Minaj installation features a “Beez in the Trap” dollhouse. The Cardi B installation features a stripper pole on a raised checkered platform.

Previously, the Lil Trap House Pop Up Exhibition In Los Angeles included a display that essentially showed Cardi B and Nicki Minaj sharing a throne. T.I. had to respond to critics that took issue with the two New York City-raised rivals being presented on an equal level.

“Everybody [was like], ‘How could you? [Cardi] hasn’t been rapping long enough! She ain’t put out enough! You’re being disrespectful to Nicki!’ When does celebrating two queens become disrespectful to one? I never understood that,” said T.I. in 2019. “This is an acknowledgment. Both of these young ladies have struggled and overcame obstacles and defied the odds to put themselves in positions to represent [themselves] and the next generation.”

The expediTIously podcast host has also advocated for the “Motorsport” collaborators to reconcile and record music together again. Last year, T.I. stated, “I think they can both co-exist. I don’t think nothing Cardi do can interrupt nothing Nicki does and nothing Nicki do can interrupt [nothing Cardi does].”

Offset & Quavo Hint That Migos’ ‘Culture III’ Album Is On The Way

(AllHipHop News) Last May, the Migos asked their fans to help them chose between Culture III, Y.R.N. 3, or No Label 3 as the name of their next project. Two months later, the trio told their followers to be on the lookout for a new album at the top of 2020.

It appears Offset, Quavo, and Takeoff are close to dropping the third installment of the platinum-certified, chart-topping Culture series. Both Set and Quavo hinted at the new LP on their respective Instagram pages.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B7hghrABPL7

“CULTURE 3 2020 LAST CHAPTER,” wrote Offset on IG. Quavo then posted a photo of himself in the studio. The picture’s caption read, “G E T T I N G C L O S E I I I.”

The first Culture came out in 2017. It hosted the #1 Hot 100 record “Bad and Boujee” featuring Lil Uzi Vert. Culture II arrived a year later. The Quality Control act’s third studio LP was supported by the singles “MotorSport,” “Stir Fry,” “Walk It Talk It,” and “Narcos.”

Migos were just the fifth Hip Hop group to score at least two #1 albums on the Billboard 200 chart. The only other rap factions to achieve that milestone are the Beastie Boys, A Tribe Called Quest, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and D12.

Joe Budden Responds To Eminem Calling Him “Traitor Joe”

(AllHipHop News) The moment Eminem’s new album Music to Be Murdered By arrived on January 17, listeners began dissecting lyrics to see if the Hip Hop veteran took shots at any other rappers. Joe Budden did catch a bar from his former Shady Records boss.

“So why would I give a f*ck about backstabbing traitor [Trader] Joe for?” spit Eminem on “Lock It Up” featuring Anderson Paak. Of course, Budden heard the line. He responded to Em on The Joe Budden Podcast.

“That’s hurtful. That’s not right. That’s offensive, man. Trader Joe? I’m Joe. So you’re telling me Joe is a traitor?” joked the host of Revolt’s State of the Culture. “Joe is not a traitor.”

Budden later added, “It was an aggressive tone. He’s saying, ‘I only joke with friends and whatever you’re doing, calling it a joke, I’m not your friend.’ And I reply to that by saying, ‘I wasn’t joking.’ Everybody has to do what’s best for them. Everybody has to move the way that they see fit. The word ‘traitor’ is just a little misleading. I have no beef with Em. I have no problem with Em… The only problem or issue I had with is how our business was set up. The end.”

Joe Budden and Eminem have been going back and forth publicly for over two years. It seems the open tension between the two emcees apparently began when Budden criticized 2017’s Revival album. Em fired back at Joe on the Kamikaze LP in 2018 with the New Jersey resident responding on his show.

There were also issues over the Slaughterhouse breakup. Budden suggested Eminem and Shady Records co-founder Paul Rosenberg financially benefited way more from the supergroup’s music than the actual members.

However, Em claimed it was a dispute over production direction that ended Slaughterhouse. The Detroit native insisted that his label actually lost money on the promotion of the crew’s collective discography. Ex-SH members Royce da 5’9″, Joell Ortiz, and Kxng Crooked appear on Eminem’s Music to Be Murdered By track “I Will.”

J. Cole Explains How ‘The New Jim Crow’ Inspired Him To Not Rap About Himself

(AllHipHop News) J. Cole is known to use his celebrity status to bring light to concerns like police brutality, mass incarceration, and the socio-economic gap. The emcee born Jermaine Cole incorporated those topics into a lot of his artistic work.

Apparently, the Dreamville Records head main a turn towards social issues in his music after reading The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness. While taking part in the MLK Now panel on Monday, Cole spoke about how Michelle Alexander’s non-fiction book and moving back to North Carolina helped inspire him to stop rapping about himself in his rhymes.

“[The New Jim Crow] was mind-blowing. It was everything we saw and see but just put into factual evidence of what was happening,” said Cole during the discussion with Black Panther director Ryan Coogler and NFL running back Marshawn Lynch. “It happened to coincide with a time after the Forest Hills Drive album – a time in my life where I was just tired of rapping about myself.”

The Grammy-nominated musician added, “So much of my career, my art was storytelling from my own perspective. I always would give you little branches of somebody else’s perspective, but so much of it was my personal journey, my personal growth, my personal flaws, this, that, and the third. And it was a time period when that was not interesting to me.”
