(AllHipHop News) Ja Rule doesn’t feel the need to watch documentaries about the infamous Fyre Festival because he “lived through the moment.”
The hip hop star joined forces with jailed impresario Billy McFarland to promote the 2017 event in the Bahamas, which was labeled a scam after organizers charged attendees between $5,000 and $250,000 per ticket – only to cancel the event almost immediately after attendees arrived at the festival site.
Joking Fyre was “the most iconic festival that never happened”, he told Entertainment Tonight: “I lived through the moment, I lived through all the craziness online, all the backlash of it all. I took it all like a champ like I was the only guy involved in the situation. But it’s OK. It’s cool because going forward, what I’m looking to do, is to make the situation right and have an amazing festival.
“It’s so crazy because I’m a person that doesn’t regret anything. If it happened, it happened. I try to look at everything as the glass half full. There was a lot of bad that came with the Fyre Festival, obviously, but there were some good things there too. A lot of lessons were learned. I’m taking all that into consideration going into my next venture.”
The star went on to insisted the incident hasn’t put him off future ventures, explaining: “Going forward, it’s not like you’re dead and you stop doing business. You’re still going to do business and your life goes on.
“But you’ve learned so much from that failure that you go forward and it makes your moves a hundred times stronger.”
Kim has previously claimed Psalm’s arrival completed their family, but it appears Kanye has other plans – and would like to add three more to their young brood.
The rapper made the admission during an appearance on America’s “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” during which he told the host, a father of three, that he should “absolutely” have a fourth child.
“The richest thing that you can have is as many children as possible,” Kanye said.
When asked if that meant he was game for a fifth kid, the Power hitmaker replied, “For seven children,” and confirmed he had discussed his hopes with his reality star wife – although he didn’t elaborate on her thoughts on the subject.
“It’s so important to give the perfect amount of attention to every kid, especially with school now and with everything that I’m doing, I really just can’t extend myself beyond this,” she told Entertainment Tonight.
Joking about the possibility of expanding their family, Kim added, “I would do even numbers, so I could go two more, but I won’t, I won’t. I think that’s just like, I think I’ll go crazy! But I think four is the perfect, magic number for me.”
(AllHipHop News) Rapper Fetty Wap is facing a call for a default judgment after failing to respond to a lawsuit regarding the alleged trashing of a luxury Los Angeles rental.
Landlords filed suit in June, claiming they had to have holes in the walls of the Hollywood Hills vacation home patched up, and have repairs done to the wood flooring, stairs, sinks, and vanities, among other things.
They also reportedly had to have the whole property repainted to get rid of the smell of smoke following the “Trap Queen” star’s three-month stay last year, during which he had no problem paying $35,000 a month in rent.
They sued Wap for almost $171,000 in damages, but the 28-year-old, real name Willie Junior Maxwell II, appears to have ignored the legal action.
Now the plaintiffs are seeking a default judgment, according to court documents obtained by The Blast.
Representatives for Fetty Wap have yet to comment on the news.
(AllHipHop News) Diddy is unsure whether or not there’s a place for him in today’s music industry, admitting he’s currently in “semi-retirement.”
The 49-year-old rapper hasn’t dropped any new music since the release of his single “Watcha Gon’ Do?” in 2017.
He’s long been rumored to be working on a new album, but in an interview with DJ Khaled for Rolling Stone magazine, the musician, real name Sean Combs, wondered whether or not his time is up in the business.
“To be honest, I’ve been in semi-retirement,” he mused. “If you don’t see my name on all the Top 10 records, that means I’m not making music. I’m contemplating, ‘Is there a role for me in music now?’”
Adding that he’s bringing back his TV show “Making The Band” next year, in which he leads the hunt for the hottest new music talent, Diddy continued: “I just know that for me, I would only be able to sign legends. To be honest, my decisions will be made through God. I’m at another frequency and level of music. It would have to be something that God fully put in my heart, like when I heard Biggie (The Notorious B.I.G.) or I heard Mary (J. Blige).”
(AllHipHop News) There appears to be some tension among the stars of The Breakfast Club. The presumed strain apparently came to a head after Hip Hop artist Gucci Mane reignited his issues with Angela Yee.
Earlier this month, Gucci claimed he was banned from the iHeartMedia radio show. He insisted his alleged banishment was over a 2016 interview where the Atlanta rapper insinuated Yee tried to have sex with him years prior.
All three hosts denied that Gucci was barred from appearing on The Breakfast Club. However, during his press run for the Woptober II album, Guwop did not stop by the station. Instead, he took part in a one-on-one Q&A with Yee’s co-worker Charlamagne Tha God.
Some observers questioned Charlamagne’s decision to still conduct the Gucci Mane interview without Yee and fellow Breakfast Club personality DJ Envy being involved. There was also criticism directed at Charlamagne for not pushing back when Gucci called Angela a “punk-ass b*tch” or when he threatened to slap Envy. Yee was asked about CTG’s solo move while speaking with The Quicksilva Show.
“I knew [Charlamagne] was doing the interview. I just think that, in general, if you work with somebody and someone is saying nasty things you can’t even say on the radio in a really derogatory way, whether or not you work with that person – talking about a woman in that way, because I have never called anybody out of their name. I think that’s the real issue. You can’t just sit there and laugh when something like that happens,” expressed Yee.
In addition, Angela Yee refuted any rumors that she had sex with Gucci Mane. The Lip Service podcaster also revealed that she still has the full audio from her old Shade 45 conversation with Gucci and would be willing to release it to prove she was not flirting with him at that time.
Previously, DJ Envy addressed the Gucci Mane/Angela Yee/Breakfast Club matter in an Instagram post uploaded on October 21. He wrote:
Me and My Dog.. … Welllllll… @cthagod gave me a heads up when this interview was done and I told him play it.. This isn’t the 1st time I’ve been threatened by an artist and probably won’t be the last time… I never been slapped, or snuffed or jumped before so not sure where that came from… but funny by all means… @laflare1017 was never banned from the @breakfastclubam When asked, “Would I do an interview without Yee…” My reply was, “I will not do anything unless you clear it with my co-worker.. We call that riding for your team where I’m from!!! And he’s upset because my coworker defended herself… Never in a million years will I tell my co-hosts what to say or what not to say.. We share that platform.. When Gucci did that post about Yee, she defended herself on the Breakfast Club and he’s mad because “I let her do it”…. I Have never ran from a Conversation in my life… My Kids are good, my wife is great and My Dog is excellent… Anyway, I heard some lies and wanted to address it… Back to enjoying Paris.
(AllHipHop News) America is one day away from Halloween 2019, but celebrities are already stepping out in their costumes. For example, Ciara and Russell Wilson dressed up as another famous married couple.
CiCi and the Seattle Seahawks quarterback uploaded pictures of themselves wearing the outfits from Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s “Apesh*t” music video. The photos also featured a portrait of an additional powerful duo: former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama.
“From the Wilsons to the Carters to the Obamas… Much Love & Respect. We goin Ape $#!% #HappyHalloween,” tweeted Wilson. The Twitter post was accompanied by a video of Ciara and Russell reenacting Hov and Bey’s “Apesh*t” visuals.
Other celebs have taken on alternate egos for All Hallows’ Eve too. Nicki Minaj (Harley Quinn), Cardi B (sexy nurse), Snoop Dogg (The Joker), Jhené Aiko (Pokémon‘s Ash Ketchum), Gabrielle Union (Clovers Cheerleader), and the Black-ish cast (Us characters) displayed their respective getups on Instagram.
Of course, fans are looking to imitate their favorite stars for the holiday. According to Billboard, Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Cardi B, Kim Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner were the most popular celebrity costume searches of 2019.
(AllHipHop News) Dwayne “Lil Wayne” Carter has never been shy about showcasing the fact he is a huge fan of Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter. The Young Money boss even has Hov’s “Lucky Me” lyrics tattooed on his body.
So it comes as no surprise that if Wayne had to pick one emcee to seek the highest office in the land, the choice would be his “Mr. Carter” and “Hello Brooklyn 2.0” collaborator. Weezy was asked about a potential Hip Hop POTUS during a conversation for “The Bumbu Room” interview series.
“If there was a rapper that should ever run for president, I believe that rapper should easily be Jay-Z,” declared Lil Wayne. “I don’t even think there’s a ‘why’ that should come after that. Plain and simple. I would love to see [Beyoncé] as the First Lady… another Carter in the White House.”
Jay-Z has never publicly expressed interest in possibly following in the footsteps of U.S. Presidents such as Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush. However, the Roc Nation founder did endorse Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012 as well as Hillary Clinton in 2016. He has also been an outspoken critic of the current Commander-in-Chief Donald Trump.
(AllHipHop News) While Kanye West recently got backing from Cardi B and T.I., the host of The Daily Show felt the need to call the “Closed on Sunday” performer on the carpet. Trevor Noah addressed Kanye during the “Between The Scenes” segment of his program.
In particular, Noah took issue with West for some comments he made during an interview with radio personality Big Boy. Kanye, who now self-identifies as a Christian, expressed his concerns about elements of modern rap music.
“He’s talking about ‘the culture.’ They rap about f*cking b*tches and buying foreign cars and doing things that are illegal and then you talk prison reform. I was watching that like, ‘Are you sh*tting me? You, of all people?’ I’m not saying everything he’s saying is wrong. But you are going to say it?” questioned Noah. “Are you serious? ‘You’re such a f*cking hoe, I love it‘? That Kanye West is gonna talk sh*t about rappers f*cking b*tches? C’mon, man.”
The South African-born comedian then turned his attention to Kanye’s views on African-American voters and the Democratic party. Even though he admitted that he did not vote in the 2016 election, West has since repeatedly shown support for Republican President Donald Trump.
“This is what I don’t like is when Kanye West and people like him will say, ‘Black people in America have been brainwashed into voting for the Democrats, believing that they’re victims. But we’re not victims, we can vote Republican. We can do whatever we want.’ Then I’m like, ‘Let me get this straight. You’re saying every black person in America is brainwashed?” said Noah.
He continued, “You’re saying that 70, 80, 90 percent of black people who are voting Democrat are brainwashed? You’re saying you’re the only person that’s enlightened? And all these black people are just stupidly following [the Democrats]… What is more likely? The fact that these people are brainwashed or the fact that in America you vote for the system that gives you the best chance? You only have two choices, and if you are a black person you go: Well I’m gonna vote for the choice that gives me the best chance of success.”
Trevor Noah went on to suggest that a wealthy Kanye West has the option to vote for Republican politicians that push for policies that benefit the rich while other less fortunate and marginalized citizens have to be more careful about which candidates they support. Noah added, “I don’t think Black women in America have been or can be brainwashed. I think, if anything, Black women in America have the least leeway when it comes to messing around with their vote.”
(AllHipHop News) In September, Kevin Hart was involved in a serious car accident in California that left the popular comedian severely injured. According to reports, Hart had to undergo surgery to repair three fractures to his spine.
The star of the upcoming Jumanji: The Next Level movie had been absent from social media since the car crash. Last night, Hart returned to Instagram with a new two-minute video.
Kevin Hart’s 80 million IG followers got to see the 40-year-old Philadelphia native’s rehabilitation process. The vid also features him providing voice-over commentary.
“I honestly feel like God basically told me, ‘Sit down. You’re moving too fast and you’re doing too much.’ Sometimes you can’t see the things you’re meant to see,” says the stand-up comedy legend. “But after my accident, I see things differently, I see life from a whole new perspective, and my appreciation for life is through the roof.”
(AllHipHop News) During a recent interview, outspoken Donald Trump supporter Kanye West declared he was repeatedly canceled before “cancel culture” was even a widely-known term. Several other celebrities have faced the wrath of the Twitter mob for various reasons as well.
Tip “T.I.” Harris has also seen his name trending on social media because faultfinders found something he said or did problematic. The Rhythm + Flow star spoke to Tamron Hall about the topic of being “canceled” by the public.
“To be honest with you, I just feel like… I think it’s fake… this cancel culture stuff, I think it’s fake,” offered Harris. “I think like Jay-Z said: first they hate you, then they love you, then they hate you again.”
The expediTiously podcast host added, “I think it’s fake because you’ll cancel someone like Kanye – now I don’t agree with his views. There’s a lot of things that he says, a lot of positions and perspectives that he speaks from that I have no agreeance with, but that’s not going to take away from the fact that he’s a phenomenal artist and he makes great music.”
At the height of the backlash against West for his insistence on aligning with the divisive Donald Trump, T.I. collaborated with the Jesus Is King creator for the “Ye vs. the People” song. The Atlanta-bred emcee also told Hall that he believes it is convenient that people have turned on Kanye but still support the Gucci fashion brand after allegations of racism.
“You’ll cancel [Kanye West] but at the same time when someone like Gucci does blackface, you’re cool with that. You’ll keep wearing Gucci but you’ll cancel Kanye,” said Tip.

(AllHipHop Music) New Jersey’s rap scene has been the subject of much national media attention in recent years given the massive success of native son Fetty Wap.
This opened the door for a fresh crop of talent to emerge onto the scene.
With their own unique sound and style different from their neighbors across the river, the garden state’s artists and personalities have certainly been making their presence felt.
One of those artists is Jersey City’s own SIRKING. Arriving onto the scene a few short years ago, SIRKING, born Solomon Cason, rolled his music out the traditional way with an intense promotional run throughout his home state and later brought his talents to New York, where he was embraced by the media who took a liking to his music and were captivated by his life story.
Having overcome the prison system and homelessness to later becoming one of the most talked-about artists in his region is no small accomplishment.
Earlier this year, the newcomer released his sophomore effort ‘Go Crazy.’
Musically, the project is a departure from his 2018 EP “Nothing To Lose.” Drifting away from his lyrical street tales and leaning more on his songwriting ability, SIRKING has his eyes set on the Billboard Top 40 charts. Recently, he has released a brand new visual for his bouncy party single “Saturday Night.” Directed by Nimi Hendrix the clip finds SIRKING and friends matching the energy of the track with joyful sensibility. “Go Crazy” is currently available on all streaming platforms, and follow SIRKING on Instagram at @sirking.

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West feels as though he’s been married to Kim Kardashian for “500 years” – joking that marriage years work in the same way as dog years.
The 42-year-old rapper opened up about his relationship with the reality TV star, with whom he has four children, during an interview on “The Late Late Show” with James Corden.
While Corden is famous for his “Carpool Karaoke” segment on his show, the host switched things up with Kanye, and the pair took part in “Airpool Karaoke” – where the British presenter took to the skies with the Yeezy mogul.
Among the topics covered during their wide-ranging interview was Kanye’s marriage, about which he joked: “Marriage years are different than human years.
“Like you know how dog years are like seven years? Every marriage year is like 100 years,” he laughed, adding he feels as though his five-year marriage has lasted “500 years.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Kanye discussed his mental health issues and credited God for helping him find his way.
He also dished on how, in his darkest moments, his family and friends were hoping he’d be OK, and had his best intentions at heart, but didn’t know how to get through to him.
“People in my family were praying for me, but they couldn’t call me and scream at me. I’m a grown man,” he explained. “But it was God that came and put this thing on my heart and asked if I was ready to be in service to him… I have no regret and no shame.”
While “Carpool Karaoke” usually sees Corden sing along with his celebrity guest and their songs, things were a bit different on Airpool Karaoke – with the passengers on the airplane made up of the choir of Kanye’s Sunday Service.
So when it came to performing the tunes, it was the choir who belted out some live music from the rapper’s new Jesus Is King gospel record.
Marky D is here to go full force with his rap career.
Born and raised on the outskirts of Los Angeles, uptown Whittier to be exact, the West Coast spitter describes his music as “speaking for people who can’t really say s##t.”
Raised by his grandma, Marky grew up to all the old school legends such as James Brown, Biggie, Tupac, Suga Free, and even Commodores. With this comes inspiration from a variety of genres and sounds, eventually fuzing them into his own lane.
The record itself is a certified bop, something you can bump in the whip with your windows down at all times.
AllHipHop: What was the inspiration behind your name?
Marky D: My cousin actually came up with it. My real name is Marcus, my middle name is Derek. Shorten it up and been rocking with it. I’ve had the nickname for a long long time since I was a baby. It’s been there. I had another nickname, they used to call me Froggy. [chuckles] “Froggy to the stage!” Because I was a really really big kid. When I say big, I was a little fattie.
AllHipHop: How did you get healthy?
Marky D: It was a reality check, I was moving way too fast. I kind of looked like a doe boy. But I was on a plane to Denver and it was just bad. My stomach, it caught up to me too fast. I was in the studio all the time eating Wingstop and Rally’s. I was about 405 lbs. I always told myself “if they like me, they gon’ like me because of my personality and music.” It was more of a self pick-me-up type of thing, but then I understood “yo this s##t ain’t healthy.” I had to get myself together and start working out. The best thing about it is I can speak from both ends of the spectrum. I understood what it feels like to be really big and have people judge you from that point, then when people see you, they have another perspective. It was supposed to happen.
AllHipHop: Best memory from the “EVERYBODY” video shoot with E-40?
Marky D: Having him dance. When my video comes out — people really never seen E-40 dance. I got him to dance, like do the old-man shuffle. Just him kicking game and really supporting it. It’s one thing to do a money play, people will do it ‘cause it’s a money thing. But when you really have somebody of that stature, he’s a walking mogul. He’s done it before all of us were born and had already been doing it type s##t. To still be doing it now, it speaks for itself. When you have those types of stamps, it goes a longer way. Because he’s everybody’s favorite artists’ favorite artist, and he’s still doing his s##t.
AllHipHop: Did he give you any advice?
Marky D: Make sure to f##k with people who genuinely f##k with you. Make sure to have a goal and plan. Invest your bread. But see, I’m an old soul. I was raised by my grandma, my thinking is very different than a lot of artists. Don’t get me wrong, I like to have fun and do my thing. But there’s always an end goal. Bigger things. You’re not a boss until you make somebody else a boss.
He was real cool, we had the low-riders. He was dancing in the low-rider. That shows people that he’s a down-to-earth person. Because he could have came to the video shoot, did his part and got on.
AllHipHop: At what point did you realize this music thing was for real?
Marky D: Long story short, I had a really close family member: my cousin. He was a music guy, he learned how to play the drums. Self-taught. He was more the music guy, I was more the sporty guy. Football was my thing. He passed away when I was 15 and he was 17. He got shot 12 times, I actually saw it so it was a traumatic thing.
When I was in high school, I always used to be able to freestyle, just create and improvise. But once he passed away, I had to type of thing. It turned out to be where it’s at now. That’s kind of why, it’s one of those situations ‘cause if it wasn’t me, it woulda been him. I’ve just been his #1 fan.
AllHipHop: Talk about the independent grind.
Marky D: Ooh, the independent thing is definitely good. Obviously, it has its cons too just because you want the machine behind you to get you where you want to go. But you don’t appreciate it as much as when you independently set certain milestones and get where you want to go without the machine. Everybody is working towards something and money helps a lot, but money comes and goes like a lot of the material s##t.
If you make a stamp with things organically, then all of that comes anyway. We’re in a place now there’s so many propped up organized wack s##t. When people see somebody as myself not really phony, because now phony gets related to hype and entertainment. Being real gets related to being boring. If the ride is longer, I don’t mind it. I don’t mind hard work because I know the appreciation that comes with that type of s##t.
It’s definitely frustrating. People know my name, I’m not the homie up the street who just started rapping. But what comes with that is people like to keep me at bay. They know what I’m coming with. They know when you don’t owe people nothing, they can’t make you feel that way. The industry is all about relationships and politics so it’s definitely a learning curve, but I like that s##t. I like pressure, I don’t mind it. I’ve had pressure my whole life, s##t being black is pressure.
(AllHipHop Rumors) Lil Yachty allegedly owes a rapper like $200k for some jewels and he has been sued as such, according to gossip site Bossip. Gunven’s Fine Jewelry sued the rapper for breach of contract and are looking to get PAID! This is how they do it. They send him jewels and then he decides if he wants to keep them. (AllHipHop News) Basketball star LeBron James was among the famous locals evacuated from their homes in Los Angeles.
The latest wildfire hit the Brentwood and Westwood communities and residents woke up to mandatory evacuations due to a brush fire along the 405 freeway near tourist landmark the Getty Center.
More than 3,000 homes have been evacuated.
“Man these LA (fires) aren’t no joke. Had to emergency evacuate my house and I’ve been driving around with my family trying to get rooms. No luck so far!”
It has since been reported James and his family are now safe.
Senator Kamala Harris and super-producer Dr. Dre were also forced to flee their homes as the fire has scorched 66,000 acres so far.
In addition to LeBron, Senator Harris and Dr. Dre, the wildfire has also forced the evacuation of hundreds of thousands of people.
Meanwhile, 2.2 million people went without electricity over the weekend, when PG&E shut off power out of safety concerns.
Robinson was not part of the government’s RICO case against the gang, but she was also charged on November 19, 2018.
The Feds say they have evidence Sergeant Robinson helped members of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, by smuggling heroin into Brooklyn on three separate occasions in the summer of 2018.
The NYPD did not publicize Robinson’s arrest, but details of her alleged involvement in the drug ring became public during the trials of Nine Trey members Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack and Anthony “Harv” Ellison.
Sergeant Robinson was due in court yesterday (October 28), but a judge granted her lawyer’s request to push the next hearing date back to November 25, 2019.
“The additional time is necessary for the parties to complete their plea negotiations,” Sgt. Robinson’s lawyer Justine Harris told Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein.
